"Sir, I insist we evacuate"

"As I've stated repeatably, evacuation is
not ideal in this situation" He reminded the gold-clad trooper. He grimaced as he looked around the courtroom. What would the children say? Right, this was a shitshow. Of epic proportions. "Reinforcements?"

"I believe the Prime Minister already made contact with Strategic Command, sir" the solider managed. The Minister glanced towards the Eternal Empress. "Sir, Lord Faust ordered me to evacuate you" He seemed more forceful than before. And yet, Evore stood unmoving. If he wasn't scared of Carnifex, or a bomb, why would be worried by some nitwit assassin?

"No. Get me the Prime Minister"

A nod, before he moved his wrist to his arm. The communications device beeped and blinked before he spoke again. Tristan mouthed the word thank you before speaking: "Isla, what the fuck is going on?"

Lord Commander Kaarz didn't care much for trials. He was a simple man, forged in the fires of battle and hardened by its flame. The trappings of law and politics weren't something that he was suited for, so he felt relieved when it was requested that he remain away from the proceedings. His task was an important one; to maintain order across the bulk of Ession in case of potential uprising in the wake of Carnifex's trial. Most of the planet had remained silent, the inhabitants going about their business as they usually would. The normalcy of it all almost made him feel as if the extra precautions weren't needed, but those thoughts quickly subsided as he remembered who was being held on trial.

Reports of protests had begun to pour in sometime ago, and the Crusade's forces had responded adequately, maintaining control as much as they could without creating an incident. However, near the location of the trial itself, things weren't as calm. Kaarz checked the time as he looked over the holoprojector in front of him, thinking of how much longer this trial would continue. Suddenly, alerts began popping up across the holo, centered around the area where the Sith was being tried.

"Sir, we've received reports of multiple explosions within the facility!"

His eyes shot upward, met by a young communications officer covered in sweat and the stench of fear...

Things had just gotten very, very bad.

"What's the status on those inside?"

"Multiple casualties have been reported. Identities of the fallen are currently unknown."

Kaarz's mind went into overdrive as he began rapidly pressing buttons at his console.

"We are diverting all of our forces to that sector. Anyone we can spare."

Just as soon as he gave the order, the transmission from Grand Admiral Draellix came through, confirming the worst. Thankfully, if the order was issued, then that meant that at least some of the Crusade's leadership remained intact. Thank Ashla for small mercies. The Lord Commander quickly put his own transmission out to the forces under his command, attempting to handle the situation before it got any further out of control.

<<All units, Order Draellix-38 is to be initiated immediately. All available forces are to converge on the trial. Lethal force is permitted in the event of a hostile encounter. No mercy for the Sith. Lord Commander Kaarz out!>>

Another message, this time sent through to the Minister of Defense.

<<This is Lord Commander Kaarz. If you can hear me, Minister Evore, we have begun dispatching reinforcements to your location.>>

Ashla's fiery sword of justice would be swift and unforgiving. These Sith would not live to see another day.

"Isla, what the fuck is going on?"

Isla is it? She thought to herself as the message came through. "look around you Minister Evore!" she coughed in pain, from her position by the doorway she could see the new Defence Minister, and he had the same information she did "it appears that the plan of bringing one of the most dangerous men in the galaxy to our capital to.....stand trial.... was a mistake. There are thousands of Sith supporters massing against....our troops, but our defensive position is holding for now." she spluttered again as her droids and now the soldiers of the golden veil ushered her out toward the waiting medical shuttle. She didn't have energy to be relaying the entire tactical situation to her Defense Minister

Isla was starting to feel light headed, she had been injected with bacta to try and control the injury but was still losing blood and she felt that she could be sick. The brand new shuttle was right by the door, and if it didn't hurt so much, Isla would be honoured to be its first passengers.

"Minister Evore.... Lord Commander.... Kaarz.. Ashla be with us.......please try to minimise..."

The communication went silent and was replaced by a SAINT automated message.

  • Subject - Prime Minister Isla Sanaris Draellix
  • Status - incapacitated, critical
  • Location - Medical drop shop K14, on route to Ession Medical facility
Please enter command authorisation code for further details

The shuttle blasted off with Isla inside toward the same medical facility that Isla had recently visited her friend Eina.

Her senses had always been the most keen ability that she had in hand. It was also something of a curse. The moment the call for assistance came forth, Lilanna diverted her attention. The Empress was in danger, and that was all she needed to hear. One moment, she was outside the court house, the next she was within. Summoning the force about her, Lilanna put strength into her muscles, and threw herself into the wall. Taking the remaining energy, she wrapped it about her body, willing herself to pass through the oncoming obstacle, and through the walls she went. As she felt the aura of her Empress near, Lilanna passed through the final wall, and solidified, landing upon a clearing pew, saber in hand as she sought her Empress.
Then she witnessed the scene unfolding before her. Shadow warped about the room, and she realized hat she stood alone in a fight that she had no business being in. At least, for the time being. That dark power that Ingrid had torn from her had stained her permanently, it was a power that she held within her being, and in times such as this it desired to come forth. Though she knew better. The Empress ordered the room cleared, and Lilanna would see it done.
She let the shadows out of the cage, and the dark power seized her once more. That alien power encapsulated her, and from it, her strength doubled it seemed. It had been a curse, losing control of herself to command such a power, but it was a curse she would bare to see her tormentors plans fall to ruin. She directed her gaze towards the thinning crowd, and extended an open hand towards them. "MOVE." Her command issued forth, and the force followed in it's wake. The mass of people were forced outwards, pushed into the quickly filling corridors, and Lilanna's shadow warped form was among them. She left the job of escorting people to the soldiers and guards, her focus however, rested in seeking out the other dark presences in the area. With one final motion, she slammed shut the doors of the court, and let the alien power within her resume it's course.

Krause Zelier stopped in his place as he saw the towering figure standing in front of his path. Probably just a civilian, though I doubt a civilian wold be here, next to the court. That's when he noticed the tattered military uniform though he couldn't make out his face, and finally spoke. "Officer, come to fight? It seems your underprepared." With a dark smile he threw off his cloaks, revealing his molten skin. His 2 lightsabers flew straight to his hands. "Now move out of the way." Calmly he added, "You cant fight me, even if you had a weapon, your simply too weak."

With that he faced his right hand towards the opposing figure, and sent a blast of electricity that came off his fingertips. We waited for the impact, but moments before the strike made contact he finally caught a glimpse of his face. Dread coursed through him like the blood in his veins.

HI'los, amused by the look of dread on the Maelibi, "What? Never fought a Gen'Dai? Certainly shouldn't be a problem for a Maelibi." He taunted. "One more thing," He reached his hands out, and with a flick of his wrist the blast of electricity shifted its course just to Hi'los's right. "I am not defenceless."

He charged the Sith, his sabers flying to his hands as the Sith's did for him. When he was just a few meters away, he leaped up and threw his left saber towards the enemy. He then landed behind the Sith to see the damage that had been done.

Embers and smokes swirled around and an acrid smoke smell assaulted Dr. Harris's senses. It was a shame to destroy such a magnificent plant, but if she didn't, the Ashlans certainly would when they arrived. And it would have killed every one of her team if given the chance. She crunched over the burning remains of a particularly large vine and into the base proper.

It was surprisingly clear in her, the vines from the large carnivorous plant choked out not other life in the large entry space. The roof was a metal latticework dome, but the glass was mostly matted over with debris and other biological matter making the light inside dim and with a muddy green tone. "Gents, if you can get that door open, it leads to their medical lab and I think I am detecting faint power signature. Could be an old battery system or even a stasis pod. I think that is our best chance of scanning the rest if the base for bio-security breaches."

Two of the soldiers stepped over and used fitted a hydraulic ram between the two door panels. With a hiss and a grind of metal the two doors slid apart to expose the room beyond. The men walked in, it was darker in here with only a few dirty windows letting the light in. A quick search of the room and Trinity discovered the source of the power, a very old stasis pod back up battery. It had little value on its own, but its currently may be enough to keep the pod's computer alive and allow her to access the bases internal systems. "Corporal, this is our in, work your magic and let me know when we have access, I am going to see what else is in here." she left the young man to his work, he was exceptionally bright, had an excellent future in data extraction once he had got completed his own military service requirements. She had put in a request for him to be assigned to her team permanently.

Trinity walked over to the back of the rook where two large drums sat, 900 year old bacta drums it appeared there was life signs detected inside them so she wanted to check, could the bacta still be viable after all this time? She doubted it, but was curious. She slid the lid off the cylinder and looked in, the sight was beautiful. Crystal clear blue bacta in the tankz not showing any signs of its age, and strange tubular creatures growing from what looked like a crack in the outer casing. "fascinating" she whispered as she scanned the material and started her recording. "scan results suggesy the following hypothesis. The bacta has been filtered and appears modified by tubeworms that have entered the system via damage to the storage unit. Genetic profiling of worms is not currently possible due to their immersion in the unknown bacta like fluid. No species currently on file that are capable of this process. Recommend removal and isolation of drum for further study."

She saved a data file and took a few samples before resealing the lid and instructing her accompaniment to find a grav sled to recharge and carry the drum to the awaiting crawler.

The Lord Commander was expecting such a situation, the Empress was and most of the staff was. The low-life Sith would never back down without a fight, would never leave a stone of treachery unturned. Opportunism was not a stranger to him and he would not judge them based on what they had in common, hypocrisy was reserved for the Jedi.

He opposed them because of their Force connection, their incredible abuse of what was in reality abusing them, ignorant to the fact and just embracing very personal and own growth and power, rather than something bigger. No Sith was thinking beyond their own profit, those who claimed it, were either liars or outright stupid. The Force was toying with those that believed to control it, it was as obvious as it could be, but narrow minded approaches were as old as blades.

Even for the strong and proud Ultranauts, the serious and silent Wolfguards and the mysterious Wardens, Belisarius Vactovion was an outstanding figure. The standard issue armor for his rank had to be extremely modified to fit onto his massive body. He did not had the slender frame of an Epicanthix, he was muscular, leaning more into the bulky kind than into the atheletic one. His head looked quite small in relation to his body and especially the very muscular neck. The longsword at his side, a two-hander for most, was a hand-a-half at best for him, the pistol more akin to a toy. Yet he was dressed like one of the Corps officers, he would never deny his connection and embrace the duty and service to his Empire.

When the alarm started ringing, both signaling the approach of cultists, as well as more chaotic reports coming from inside the building, Belisarius took his men and positioned them to secure one of the landing platforms. The platoons of the Ultranauts spreading out to cover them by establishing a secured perimeter around them. He would divide his command to let the defense be organised by the Ultranaut captain and order the Wolfguards along with the Wardens to get into the building to get out civilians and non-combat personnel, evacuating the scene as quickly as possible. He made no secret out of his intention to rescue imperial barons and nobles first and foremost, the Ashlans could take care of their own.

Belisarius knew that his soldiers would not disappoint him, they never did and thats why he kept investing into them. He grew up as part of a mmilitary, more or less, but never had he such a great connection than to the soldiers of the Eternal Empire. They were the epitome of discipline and dutifulness, not even imperial stormtroopers could keep up.

Feeling the embrace not give as she was held, Zolasha felt something within her soul come undone. She had fought in the Sith arena's as a gladiator, crawled her way to the title of Sith apprentice, and murdered her way into Sith knight. Her deeds were not by any means 'forgivable', nor were her normal embraces this full of care. It was puzzling to her. She had not taken a lover, nor had she planed to. For so long attachment was a shackle to ensure she remained a slave, but now? Was it possible to find enjoyment in this life rather than lamentation of the Empire she had fallen from?

She didn't have experience in this field. Though she knew well enough that when one has opportunity, that it was best to seize it. "I call you goddess for many reasons, and I fear I have failed in making these known." Her eyes fell away, her head pressing against Hanaya's chest, eyes fluttering close. "You found me at my lowest, and your power and beauty over took me. You give me the hope, and a calling from the high, and for that I adore you. It's why I call you Goddess. It is why I love you." She was silent for several moments, hearing the thudding of Hanaya's heart against her chest. "If you desire me as your consort, then I will serve as best I can, my Goddess." A smile slowly spread across her face, Zolasha pulling back to match the eyes of the four armed woman.

Though her face contorted into one of confusion at the mention of Wampas and bed chambers. "Hanaya, if there is a Wampa within your bed chambers I would slay it for you if you ask it of me." There was a touch of concern in her voice that indicated she didn't quite grasp the statement.

Geiseric sensed the Light draining from the cathedral, but that was for the best. As Carnifex focused on Eina, the scattered government of the crusade limped as fast as it could away from the epicenter of the tragedy. If those people could be saved, the crusade would continue in earnest. Even controlling this place, Carnifex would never regain control of Ession. This blow was not enough to shake to the Ashlans to their core. The Sith Empire was gone, crushed under the heels of the righteous. Yet still, attacking Kaine had on was suicide.

Geiseric knelt and plunged his sword into the floor, beginning to focus his energies. He was guardian, and the Force was not his strongest point. Not without Eina. Her strength, their dyad, empowered him beyond that of the mortal man he was. All he had to do was try and draw from her.

He called to her telepathically, focusing all his energy on cutting through the spell Carnifex has cast upon her. "Eina! Focus on my aura, let me draw from yours! The closer we can be to one, the better chance we have at this!"

The woman was immobile, but he could sense she obliged. She had to. The alternative would be a victory for the Bogan.

He dig deep into the wells of the Lightside around him and between them. He placed his left hand over the pendant hanging over his chest, feeling its warmth, Its glow brightened, and as Geiseric released his hand it shot forth a shining ray of light at Eina. She fell to the ground at Carnifex's feet.

"Ession is free from darkness, Sith. And it will remain that way." with all his might in the Force he conjured two portals, like rifts between this world and the next, for the two battered Jedi to fall into.

Geiseric came to on cold marble floor, a chill about him indicating he was safe. In the Sanctuary. He cocked his head to see Eina next to him a few feet away. Whatever was going to happen back on Ession, Zambrano had lost his bargaining chip. That was all that mattered. Now they needed to rest.

I will always come for you Kaine.

Death.

Those struck by the fury of the crimson lightning unprepared died in agony snuffed out like the flickering flame of a candle. In the midst of such pandemonium the Lord of Lies appeared utterly apathetic to it all. No concern to the challengers who barked up at them, potential attacks heaved their way, odds facing them, it all seemed to wash off him like water. Unbreakable tendrils of pure dark side energy wrapped the so-called Saint of the Ashlan Crusade. The only movement the levitating Dark Lord made was an eruption that burst from his talon clad hand in the form of a bright crimson bubble that washed over his nephew and their captive, powered by his titanic might in the force to defend them from interlopers. It was a barely perceptible movement from his hand that brought such a powerful application of the force to life. Each were living hurricanes of darkness but together? They were something else indescribable. A living manifestation of the storied dark dyad long spoken of in ancient tomes and scrolls of the sith, never truly achieved until now.
In the eyes of the saint reflected the form of a true reaper who stared back with a pair of hate fueled molten orbs of fire. It was painfully clear that even this attack by the pair as quite restrained. If they had wanted to cause mass casualties, they were more than capable of doing so, a terrifying prospect that they had chosen not to. Above raged a rapidly growing crimson storm of dark side energy that grew to a size visible to ships from space. Its arcs cast a ghastly glow on the walls of the hallowed structure that was being tainted by the dark itself. Even as the Empress drew from the storm there was no struggle on the faces of the Dark Lords to maintain it, and it only seemed to grow in size not shrink like one would expect. "Witness girl the strength of a true dyad in the force." He said to Eina.
The two giants slammed their hands together and all hell seemed to break loose. It was a massive eruption that shook the very walls of the cathedral violently as if under the effect of a terrible earthquake, the entire room bathed in a blinding crimson light momentarily. In the skies above the storm seemed to violently explode doubling in size. A crimson anomaly dominating the skies as something formed in its center. A circular wormhole tore itself open violating reality itself as it did, like the maw of some great beast. It was a wormhole of the purest black surrounded by a vortex of crimson. In a way it was reminiscent of a defiled hyperspace tunnel within but tainted by a pure darkness. The hole grew in the skies above and it seemed like it was determined to gradually descend in time towards them and the cathedral below. A true manifestation of the highest forms of cataclysmic power the dark side afforded its greatest wielders.

2UCdBYU.png

"Such fragile faith."

The storm above continued to exponentially grow in strength, powered by the Dark Dyad in a reciprocal loop of energy. When the two Dark Lords had clapped their hands together, they had leveraged their combined experience and power to conjure forth a gateway through time and space, a monstrous maelstrom that emerged from the eye of the storm and began its slow descent towards the Cathedral. It pulsated with such malice that the energies it was radiating could be felt far beyond the limitations of Ession's star system, shining across the cosmos as a faint red beacon.

The ray of light which exuded from the young Knight's outstretched hand made contact with the scintillating crimson barrier erected by Darth Prazutis. The light energy was shredded and cast aside, the power of a single Ashlan Knight incapable of surmounting the combined strength of two of the strongest Dark Lords in the galaxy. Carnifex extended an armored hand towards the Ashlan Knight as he attempted to summon portals through the power of the Force, a bright red rune lighting up over His opisthenar before the portals writhed as though seized by an external force and violently snapped close.

By then, Carnifex's attention had shifted from the would-be heroes to the Eternal Empress herself. Her taunts fell on deaf ears, the Dark Lord having achieved His initial goals without having to district Himself with a prolonged duel. "When I was held at your mercy en route to these insipid Crusaders, I told you that you were blind. You did not heed my words then, but perhaps now?" He looked from Ingrid to Eina and slowly clenched His left hand into a fist, the Dark Side binding slowly tightening to constrict around Eina's limbs and throat. "Had you the foresight to discern my intentions, then you would have known my true objective from the very beginning. But instead you played the perfect marionette, leading me right to my prize."

By now, the encroaching wormhole was beginning to tear pieces of the Cathedral away from the main structure. Portions of the roof split into pieces and were dragged up into the air, glass splintering into a thousand shards, stone breaking as though struck by a hammer. The winds that whipped around the Cathedral were greater than any magnitude of hurricane, stronger than the most tumultuous typhoon, and more destructive than the most earth-shattering quake. But, there was still plenty of time for those stuck within the Cathedral to get out of the wormhole's path.

It was clear that the two Dark Lords intended to be swallowed by the maelstrom, with their captive prisoner in tow.

Long had the Dark Lord plotted, maneuvered so many pieces into place. He had willingly given Himself up to what to many appeared to be certain death, only to carefully puppeteer His captors into bringing Him into contact with the object of His ambitions. Now she was within His grasp, His trap sprung. The great indignity He had endured paled in comparison to the scale and scope of His triumph. The entire galaxy would witness this moment, made accessible thanks to the hubris of the Crusaders and their rabid thirst for vengeance.

"But do not fear, little Empress. You will be reunited with your daughter in due time."

Something dark flashed in Carnifex's eyes, something unspeakable.

"Once I am done."

"Well I am glad the force brought you too me when it did, you have given me so much too." it made Hanaya feel very lovely when Zolasha told her these things, that she made her feel good. "you won't be serving me, you will be serving with me as my partner, helping lead my people, maybe one day they will call you Queen too." she fluttered her eyelashes seductively.

"Hanaya, if there is a Wampa within your bed chambers I would slay it for you if you ask it of me."

"now I can't tell if you are just teasing me" and she laughed, hugging her tightly with affection, the woman would find out about the snoring Wompa soon enough. Hanaya looked at the crown thay Zolasha always wore to, among other things, allow her to see in the dark. While still holding her waist she gently lifted the crown off her head snd kissed it before speaking again.

She put on a very regal sounding town, but there was love in it. "Zolasha Tyrin, do you accept the role of Consort, of Queen Hanaya Enzar? Do you promise to love me and be faithful to me? Do you promise the same to my people and to treat them as your own?" she watched Zolasha nod eagerly as she asked the questions before gently resting the crown back on her head. "Then I now crown you Princess Zolasha of Codro Secundus, Queens Consort."

Hanaya pulled her new partner in close an kissed her, before pulling back and looking her in the eyes with a very excited look, "Well then I suppose there is only one more thing we should do before we go and do some exploring together, there is something I have been very curious about you species since I first saw you." she leaned in a whispered something scandalous in Zolasha's ear before gently kissing hey again.
