The Forgotten One
The fact is whoever becomes the Dlots whether he is an NPC or writer is going to get overthrown. I merely suggest that we speed up the process in the form of the Kaggath.

It sounds flawed to me and it makes me hesitant to be a part of it.Krest said:[member="Christian Slade"]
I believe there are Seven Voices. Each play the roll of the Dark Lord collectively. He's a shared character among a governing group of seven. No one person can turn the Dark Lord to their favor without the other six agreeing.
In a sense it's a Council OOC, while IC it looks like there's the Dark Lord, making it almost impossible for other PC's to try and usurp the fraction. It doesn't sound good now, but think of it as an insurance to make the Sith a major player again. This is the only way to make the Sith powerful with the map the way it is both IC and OOC. Once the Sith take over the galaxy, I'm more then certain that there will be the typical Sith power struggles.
I ABSOLUTELY agree, but I don't see the point of an NPC Dark Lord. And OOC Council would be just as effective as the current one with a NPC Dark Lord. They're doing the same exact thing that they would with an NPC Dark Lord that they would if they didn't have an NPC Dark Lord.Tamara said:Not to mention that with the way people write Force users, duels go on usually until one person decides to be a good sport and loses….
The reason I think an NPC could be handy is because if you have the IC council elected entirely OOCly from the Sith Lords in the faction, they decide what this NPC does…effectively what the members want whilst giving it an IC legitimacy.
Having an IC leader hasn’t worked, so having multiple OOC elected leaders might.
It should also provide a more representative body for the members than one leader who wins IC.
We are, after all, a community, and it’s in our interest to set things up in a way that people have some stability in what they’re investing time into.
Probably the best idea yet.Christian Slade said:I ABSOLUTELY agree, but I don't see the point of an NPC Dark Lord. And OOC Council would be just as effective as the current one with a NPC Dark Lord. A body of Sith Lords leading a faction... that's all it is... yet we're trying to act like it's something else because there's an NPC Dark Lord that is completely and totally not necessary. Lol
Fine, but if I can see that it isn't without flaw and speak up about it only to wait around for nothing to be done about it, is that a problem with or for everyone, is is that just my problem?Krest said:[member="Darth Kentarch"]
That's why seven or more people would run it OOC. Majority rules. Fraction leaders all who want to make the One Sith work to rule the galaxy again.

Everything is flawed. The point is to push past the flaws and help others get around it.
I didn't say I wasn't interested. I wouldn't be having this debate if I didn't care.Darth Voracitos said:Huh, okay no one is interested in joining a hypothetical faction to settle our differences and power through our flaws. That's cool, I'll just go sit in that corner facing the wall crying and eating cake and ice cream as usual...

...We've got Administrators and Moderators to answer to if we act like morons. That's the point of having a Faction to begin with. Appoint multiple governing Sith Lords to a Council absent a Dark Lord to see who's Level headed enough to handle responsibility and if they can't then OOC enforcers step in and say, "Hey... stop acting like a moron."Tamara said:Because having an OOC ruling council with a PC Dark Lord still means someone has more power than the others. Or an OOC ruling council which is also the IC council creates problems of overlap too.
So by having an NPC there’s less personal projection involved.
