THEME

The war against the Arch Enemy grows in intensity with each passing day. Recent expeditions to probe the Sith’s defenses in the Core, a bolstering of forces, and the most recent ambush on Abregado-Rae brought with it the realization that going about this operation alone was possibly not the best plan.

As the old saying went, the answer would likely be found with the enemy of the Mythos Fleet’s enemy. While they were located in the far-flung reaches of the Unknown Regions, the Farworlds Alliance had proven both their desire and their worth with numerous recent excursions against the Sith.

An invitation was sent to the heads of the Alliance and a meeting was arranged on the neutral world of Odessen, where the ruins of a centuries-old base would be used for the talks.

Located in the ruins of an old base, the leaders of the Farworlds Alliance and the Rekav’dral of the Iron Covenant meet to discuss the current state of affairs and possible solutions to both their problems. Both organisations want the Core free and their Enemy slain.

An alliance between them holds a tremendous potential. Neither of them can do it alone, not without significant losses. But old grudges still remain and opinions within the Mythos Fleet are divided over working with the Jedi within the Farworlds Alliance.

While the respective heads are meeting, the combined gathered forces have a chance to mingle and work together. The decision of meeting on Odessen wasn’t just for the sake of heritage and respect for history, it was also home to a hidden base for a smuggling ring.

Hidden in the sprawling forest, the slavers, smugglers and other vagabonds rely on the isolated nature of the planet to remain undetected. In the interest of collaboration, both forces are instructed to move in and neutralize the expansive base of criminals.

The amount of bad ideas simply kept rolling. First it was a hunt to nab rancors on Felucia, now he had to play mediator between a bunch of strangers and people who weren’t fond of strangers. He wasn’t part of the Rekav’dral, but he was one of the few people within the fleet who not only were in good standing with their old adversary, but also good friends with key people.

The joys of networking…

Maybelle sat outside on the cracked landing pads, the base chosen for the meeting not only sat in disrepair, but evidence of various drifters over the centuries showed clear as day. At least the view from the old war room was nothing short of breathtaking, and he had done a little bit of work to make the place look slightly more presentable than it was an hour ago.

The guests and relative hosts were arriving, while the rest of the Alliance and Fleet set out to go pay a visit to their true hosts. With his helmet clipped to his belt, Yuri leaned by a blown out window and lit a cigarette as he waited for the crowd to gather.

He knew some of the people within the Farworlds Alliance, they were good people. What concerned him more was his own people who would be showing up. Some of them… most of them… were veterans from both the Enclave and the Neo Crusaders.

He had his work cut out…

Vohm-Raet adjusted the heavy strap of his pack as he stepped from the treeline, his boots sinking slightly into the soft terrain. Beyond the clearing, the diplomatic encampment remained quiet apart from the steady hum of generators and distant conversation.

Representatives of the Farworlds Alliance and the Iron Covenant were discussing terms on neutral ground, far from the attention of the larger galactic powers. Though he had not come to Odessen for the politics but to assist in clearing out the smuggling den that had taken root on this world.

His eyes focused on the Mandalorian warriors gathered inside the staging area, checking weapons, fastening armor, and dividing equipment between themselves. They were practical and direct, unconcerned with the finer points of Jedi philosophy. Vohm could respect that.

They had never brought harm to Giju or his people, and he saw no reason to create friction where none existed. For now, they shared a common enemy. Anything he learned about how they moved, communicated, or fought was simply useful knowledge for an uncertain future. Vohm crossed the clearing toward them, moving with deliberate care so as not to alarm the guards posted along its edge.

"The scouts placed the criminal compound two kilometers into the brush. How much training do you have in forest warfare" he asked, wanting to know if any of the Mandalorians here had actual training in this kind of environment in order for them to take the lead.

Once they replied, he pointed towards the northern tree line, where the forest grew denser, an ideal spot for smugglers to establish their operations as he searched the woods for any obvious signs of sentries monitoring the paths ahead.
