Invasion The Liberation of Ossus [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Alexandra struck as she would in a life and death situation, her blades drawn back and close as she moved in and out of the range of the wounded Jedi, her strikes were nothing more than the Jabs that relied on speed over power. Ofcourse her strikes were kept the entire time wide as she made them, first one for his right leg, then his left shoulder, then his right shoulder and then his left arm and his right arm and then his left leg. It was a cycle she repeated without hesitation as that is the same cycle of strikes she had always fought with, the reason few caught onto the pattern is that she normally was moving fast enoguh to keep them off balance. Normally that is, as her strikes were also slowed, using the guise of fatigue for such a lack of speed.

The Sith's technique was good, but it lacked speed. Probably because the Sith was going easy on him, since he was supposed to wound her and it was just a show duel. He guessed that usually the attacks would happen so fast, that recognizing a pattern would be much harder than it was now. Yasuo had the pattern figured out after the second time she attacked his right shoulder. Once he had that pattern, he was able to block the attacks easily, but even though it was just a show duel, it had quite the effect on his leg. The pain had intensified because of all the attack he had to dodge, block and parry he had to do. He didn't know if he could hold up his defense for very long, so he decided it would be good to act now. After he blocked a hit to his right shoulder, anticipating the attack on his left shoulder, he sidestepped to the right and by doing that dodged the attack, giving hi enough time to look around for something he could use as a projectile. He found a couple of rocks nearby and hurled them at the Sith using the Force. If this distraction worked he would have enough time to counterattack and finish the duel.

She turned as she saw him side step and followed his gaze to the rocks that were sent at her, bringing up her blades she cut through each or deflected them with the force herself. She took a breath in and began to turn, she knew he would need to strike now and then if he were to take her out with the maximum efficancy and accuracy. Even so she turned, bring her blades up and preparing for the hot blade to pierce her flesh. @[member="Yasuo"]

Daella had refused his attempt to fully recover her, instead she ran forward again. He looked ahead of her and saw the Emperor preparing to impale her with his blade and a limping Mikhail unleashing his telekinetic blast. Darc quickly rose his hand and summoned the Force to latch onto Daella in mid sprint and pulled her back on her ass in an attempt have her dodge the multiple incoming blows. The fierce yank of the Force pull would slide her onto ground back to where Darc stood.

The Sith had blocked all the rocks, but she had left an opening in her defense. Probably to give Yasuo a chance to end the duel. He now held his blade with both hands on the right side of his body, pointed at the Sith. He would try not to hit any vital organs when he attacked her and hopefully make the wound easily treatable. His blade shot forward and hit the Sith. It wasn't a deadly wound, he only hit the far right side of her abdomen. It would look like a fatal wound, but it wasn't. The worst thing that could happen would be if she didn't get treated in the next hour, but Yasuo could see a couple of medics running around the battlefield, so that wouldn't be a problem. ''Sorry for that.'' He knew that a simple sorry wouldn't make up for the pain he caused, but it was one of the few things he could do at the moment. His blade deactivated and returned to a normal standing position. There were two medics near him that had just finished treating a republic soldier. ''You two, this woman needs your help. She's heavily wounded and won't survive if you don't treat her immediately!'' He shouted towards the two medics.

She felt it in a heart beat, and could not stifle the scream of pain as the blade touched flesh and seared it. The blade had run her through and as he pulled it away she could only say two words before collapsing. "Thank you." The next moments were a mix between conciousness and unconciousness, hearing his words as the light around her faded out and she welcomed sleep. The Irony, when and if she woke, she would be in the enemy's medbase treated as one of there own perhaps. @[member="Yasuo"]

The fierce yank of Darc's force pull might have slammed Daella to the ground, except she was still being held in the air by one of the top three strongest wielders of telekinesis in the galaxy. When people spoke of Thronebreaker it was in the same breath as Siobhan Kerrigan. Darc was no Kerrigan. Daella remained where she was as Mikhail poured energy into keeping her hanging midair.

Since he used telekinesis, a neutral power, Kiskla Grayson's draining of the Dark Side would do little good. Furthermore, the Dark Side permeated the battlefield. Every new death ripped a wound in the Force. And there were so many deaths. Why would Shorn need to reach to the planet's core, when he could feel the Dark Side all around him?

Timeframes were important in battle. Crucial, even. As much as Obi-wan Kenobi would have loved to run up and counter Darth Maul's killing blow to Qui Gon Jin, he could not. Why? Distance. Iella and Saki each had a long distance to catch up to Mikhail and Kaine. If one followed the laws of physics, Kaine's sabers would impale Daella well before Iella's shockwave reached him, just like poor Qui Gon.

Saki was a different problem.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Three telekinetic punches smacked Mikhail in the face, or would have if he had not been wearing a helmet. The helmet cushioned the blows, but made Shorn stumble. Even still, he held on to his grip on Daella like a relentless vonrskr. He felt a tingle of danger down his back and moved, letting the Dark Side guide his actions for the first time this battle. His cybernetic hand whipped around almost faster than the eye could see. His beskar knife batted away the thrown yellow saber.

Enough time had passed that either Kaine's sabers would have impaled Daella, or she would have somehow avoided the blow.

Shorn released his grip on her and turned to Saki.

"Aah, I'll kill you!" She screamed.

"How very Jedi of you," Shorn muttered. He held out his hand, grabbed her in the force, attempted to lift her in the air, then released a full blown blast of Force Lightning at her head. Without her lightsaber, she was fethed.

Sochi too had raised her hands slowly to assure the natives that she too wasn't armed, and meant no harm. Her back was facing one side of Aika as she slowly turned her body to face the people who had taken u ams behind the three of them. When all was clear she simultaneously lowered her h as they Ysanna lowered their own. She kept looking around as Aika began to persuade them of their goal. Her voice was loud, and stern. The forest itself grew quiet as negotiations began, even the fighting in the distance seemed to cease for the given time. Sochi could feel the distrust they had for the three jedi, it was slowly fading, but their guards were still up. When the end of her speech indicated for them both to add on, Sochi took one step forward and began to speak, motioning with her hands, "She is right, We only seek liberation, peace. We, the Republic can provide you with protection, safety from the Empire. We can assure your peace is never threatened again. Help us drive their forces off planet and out of this sector. Please" she said softly, yet loud enough so the masses could hear her. She only hoped she aided Aika enough to further sway the Ysanna to their cause; a truthful one.

Meta grappled away going un-noticed, Marek's body hung over his shoulder, Meta had reached the other side of the cliff. Away from the battle, he used the force. Trying to contact Marek, however it wasn't working. "Come on, wake up!" He shouted, shaking the man. Though once again nothing happened. Sighing, he returned his focus to the battle below. This was no place for him, he was no match for Shorn or Zambrano. He then turned his focus to the battle erupting from the Jedi temple. Was there anything he could do? He had halted the Graug army at the cliffs of the forests, but felt so out of place here. Maybe he belonged amongst soldiers. Not Jedi, he grimaced. Staying at Marek's side to see if he'd wake, he rested himself. The pain from the battles of the past resurfacing on him.

Before Daella could reach @[member="Kaine Zambrano"], she was momentarily yanked back by the telekinetic powers of @[member="Mikhail Shorn"]. The Emperor took advantage of the opportunity as he ran forth and attempted to inflict a reciprocal wound to the Jedi due to what Daella did beforehand. In order to prevent the wound across her right cheek from expanding, Daella tried to keep face relaxed - yet she inadvertently tensed up, thus causing her more pain.

Yet, @[member="Darc Xavior Talus"], @[member="Iella E`ron"], and @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] each provided some aid to save Daella. Darc himself managed to pull Daella away with the Force. The violent yank caused Daella to release a tiny yelp in response. She tumbled backwards toward Darc and eventually came to a stop a meter from the ally. Iella managed to send a shockwave toward the Emperor. It could have impeded his progress, yet Daella did not witness the full result of the attack. Then, Kiskla began to focus in attempting to purge the dark side of the Force from the environment.

Overall, the collective efforts of Daella’s allies managed to save her. She did not voice her appreciation though. Instead, Daella immediately rose to her feet next to Darc. She glanced at him for a second then turned back to the Emperor.

Instead of charging in first, Daella chose to take a couple steps to the side away from Darc. She seemed to be awaiting for him to make the first attack for this bout.

The Dark Side was a constant presence across the battlefield, for as long as every Republic and Imperial soldier was slaughtered in the conflict, the Sith could always feed off the suffering. No matter how strong a Force User was, they realistically could not cleanse away an aspect of the Force from the entire planet. When the Light grows in intensity and strength, it does send the darkness fleeing away from it's glow, but the bigger the light the bigger the shadow. Kaine could feel the effects of @[member="Kiskla Grayson"]'s attempts to scour the darkness from the world, but she would be sorely disappointed. The Sith had been occupying Ossus for a long, long time now, and it would take even longer to scour their taint from the world. He frowned as Daella was pulled back by the efforts of Darc, his interference in this duel quickly becoming a nuisance.

Interestingly, he saw this next outcome, rather than felt it through the force. Out of the corner of his eye he saw her rapidly approaching, despite her force-enhanced speed he had his force-enhanced senses, and if she had decided to strike mere minutes earlier she would've gotten the drop on the winded Emperor. However; with Balaya's help he had regained much of his spent energy due to her generous donation, and Kaine was beginning to tire of these infuriating gnats. As gravity began to affect his body as his momentum died, he twisted his body to face the oncoming Jedi. With both lightsabers in hand he allowed the wave of force hit him, pushing him back away from the Jedi as she unleashed it. His body continued to twist before the soles of his boots crashed onto the moist ground behind him, and with his own strength in the Force he propelled himself forward through the after effects of Iella's wave. He continued straight through the other side, and his force-enhanced momentum would send him directly at Iella, who would soon come in range of his two lightsabers.

He swung them in conjunction to try and batter away at whatever defenses she raised, and get in close for the damage.

Wail of the Banshee

Daella came back to her feet and took a few steps away from Darc. Her body language spoke clearly to him. She wanted him to act first before she could try her next attempt. Then came the barrage of attacks on the Emperor from the opposite direction. Iella had been one of the few who wanted to face the Emperor up close. The Emperor was infuriated and launched himself towards Iella first. Darc zoomed forward spinning his saber rapidly as he let out a powerful wave of Force scream behind the Emperor to not only get his attention but to inflict sonic damage.

Once @[member="Darc Xavior Talus"] sped forth, Daella quickly followed suit and shadowed her ally. Every time Daella took a step, she released a short hiss of pain. Yet, she continued to run toward her target along with Darc.

Rather than go for a killing blow, Daella chose to assist her ally. With both her arms on the hilt of her lightsaber, Daella rushed past Darc after he unleashed his attack through the Force. As if timed, Daella intended to follow up on Darc’s attack not even a second after it could have landed.

Once within range, Daella would have thrust her golden lightsaber forward with both her arms on the hilt. She intended to stab the Emperor once more - and attempted to time the attack so that Darc’s sonic wave would strike Kaine first. Daella once again aimed for Kaine’s abdomen in the same manner that she did when she ended up impaling the Emperor.

Apparently timeframe and distance did not matter and against all odds Daella managed to snake her way free, dashing Shorn's hopes. Oh well, that was why it paid to be a cynic. Gritting his teeth, he finished his assault on Saki and turned on Daella, Darc, and Iella. The glass from his shattered visor dug into his cheeks and he now had a pool of blood inside his helmet, held in by the environment seal. Despite the wound in his side and the graze on the back of his knee, most of Shorn's pain came from bruises and light burns. The true test was yet to come.

He raised the palm of his broken hand and unleashed a short burst of telekinesis, blasting aside the overpressure wave from the Force scream and leaving only the sonic damage. Then he grabbed Darc in a chokehold of telekinesis and attempted to yank him away from the Emperor and straight toward him. At the same time, he unleashed a single tendril of lightning, more like a spark, at Darc's back, intending to inflict disorienting pain rather than a flesh-melting cascade of lightning.

Roof of the Great Jedi Library

It looked as though Akodya was about to say something that would contradict Rasu's idea but seemed to bite her tongue before she could say it. Doubt began to cloud the Shi'ido's thoughts. Had she miscalculated something or had the human spotted some aspect that the other Padawan had overlooked? Her anxiety grew, if Akodya had any doubts about Rasu's plan then she should speak up, as the whole point of asking the woman was to get her feedback before they implemented the plan.

A loud bang interrupted Rasu's thoughts, dragging her back to the battle for the sacred world. Turning to find the source of the sound, the Shi'ido just made out Akodya jumping into the ventilation duct with the rest of her team following suit. "Stang" she muttered. Looks like we're doing this then, she thought. She would just have to push her doubts down, they would do her no good in the mission to come. Hurrying over to the duct, she made sure that everyone was in before jumping in time, just as a large spotlight began to spray it's giant beam of light over the area where the Padawan had just been standing.

The Shi'ido slid down the rusting metal shaft, falling as her back scraped the red, crusty wall. Looking down, Rasu could make out the bottom of the shaft, which curved so that the Padawan continued down the passage as if she was on a slide, using on the Force to soften the blow as she collided with those Jedi who had just righted themselves as they finished their own descent. Jumping up, she hit her head on the ceiling above. Quickly bringing her hand up to cradle her injured head, she looked around sheepishly, as those near her turned to find the source of the loud thud. Rasu decided that it was time for her to change her current form. She had taken the guise of a female Mirialan for the duration of the mission so far but now the situation called for a smaller species, one that would better suit the small environment they had put themselves in.

Her body began to shift and bubble as her skeleton began to maneuver into different positions, adjusting their length and width while doing so. Rasu's green skin suddenly changed to a soft cream and brown fur began to grow over it. Her face began to bulge slightly as her nose extended bringing her face with it as it formed a snout. Soon the green skinned Mirialan, had been replaced with a female Chadra-Fan who fit considerably better in the tight space. Her clothes, seemed a bit baggier on her though so she decided to quickly strip them off, leaving only her belt with lightsaber attached. Making her way through the group, she made her way up to Akodya, at the front of the pack and turned to her before saying in her now, higher, almost squeakier voice, "Once we start walking we'll be in the midst of battle, the first war we've ever seen Akodya. Are you ready?"

Syn looked at Kiskla and then at the approaching sith lord as he remained very still. His hands still clenching but a smirk came on his face while he ebbed, the current and immersion not something he tried normally in a fight but he had been practicing as it were and was close enough to Kiskla he could encompass her. The ripples of the white current coming while he prepared for it. "When you can move with me and prepare yourself it won't last for very long." The jedi master just needed to give her time to do what she planned and he would help his face looked at her while he spoke more and slid the pair of them into the current. That invisible ripple to hide their force presences and selves from visible sight. "Whatever your planning to do, best do it quickly. At best I can cloak the pair of us for ten minutes from his sight if he has some skill detecting illusions."

"Sith tend to dance around a lot."
Tracyn said, scowling at the Sith from beneath his helmet. He went on a half-roadie run to the Sith, dragging his lightsaber along the ground behind him to gain momentum and speed along with it. Tracyn let his anger go, let his rage go. His mind was clear, no positive, yet no negative. He had nearly the same presence as an android, and then he brought both hands to his hilt, taking in a deep breath. Tracyn was strong. Impeccably. Massively. He could crush skulls with a simple swipe, and even dent armor with simple punches, with or without crushgaunts. And that strength, played well into his use of Djem So. Specifically, the ground-shaking technique of falling avalanche. The move was designed to literally destroy a person's guard, their strength outmatched by the other.

This was the intent of Tracyn's move, to literally, crush in Cameron, a sledgehammer with the force of a moving freight train coming down to him. And fast.

With the aid of her farsight, Iella is able to sense the Emperor's intentions moments before. As she stood ready, Iella could see Daella approached with an attack on the Emperor from the rear, she pumped the force through to her arms and legs, strengthening them for the initial strike. The two blades of the Emperor swung toward her, her block already visualised in her mind and her blade met his in a clash of screaming friction, with the strengthen swelling her arms through the force, Iella followed through with power on the strike, in essence this would turn his body with the momentum, just enough to unsettle his balance.

Daella now behind the Emperor, unleashed her strike.

IC:

The ends of JaK 's durasteel stun tentacles were severed , an unfortunate outcome, but one that didn't elicit pain, as he has no nerves, at least in his mechanical compartments. Still, with the whirling dervish of plasma in front of him he knew pressing his normal state of attack would be useless, so the droid ran forward, activating his Xythan Force Shield, which as Kit Fisto found during the Cestus Deception, absorbed energy from even lightsabers. Thus, when he closed the relatively small distance between them the rotating blade would have stopped in it's tracks, much like a man spinning his arms around until he suddenly found his path impeded by a durasteel wall. JaK's shield wouldn't hold forever, but it'd still hold a rather long time. Seizing the moment he took four tentacles into action, two headed down to wrap up the man's legs, one straight forward, ideally stabbing into his chest(as he was a meter and a half tall), and one heading upwards to wring the man at his neck. One or two would likely be blocked, even chopped off, buy at this range it'd be near impossible to take care of all of them, accounting for the multiple paths, speed, and points of combat. If one of his stun tentacles would compress with a force strong enough to crush and cut through most metals, easily cutting through skin before slowing, only slightly, when they would hit bone. That wasn't the only property of the tentacles however, with the 'stun' portion of the name being added for a reason. Any of the points of contact that weren't immediately severed by his lightsaber would send electricity coursing the Jedi @[member="Vulpesen"]'s body. If he wasn't a Force user it would likely knock him out, but as he was a Jedi Knight, it'd likely only cause intense pain and a natural difficulty in using the Force on account of that pain.

The bug did, as it happened, have a few tricks up it's sleeves.

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul
OBJECTIVE: SAKI RAGE:
@Mikhail Shorn

Saki felt the grip on her as a snarl came to her face, her whips curling until he gave some lightning. Her hands shot up to protect her head while he went around to fight with the others. Her body convulsed and she was dropped to the ground. Her fists clenched as they pounded into the dirt. The anger and rage building while she let out another scream, that inner darkness of her own getting her muscles to bulk a little. She wanted to make him pay now that the fight was going and stood up with a snarl. Herr hand went out to pull her saber back to herself as she moved to engage him. No time for fancy jumps no Saki just pushed everything into her fists and outward into a force push. Focused and full of fury as she screamed and little less attention to the rest around her. The sigil she had gotten like the others from iridonia keeping the force flowing through her and them to what might account as a second wind.
