Invasion The Liberation of Ossus [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Kaine would've been flung by Iella's telekinetic wave, if not for the timely save by Mikhail Shorn, who was infamous for his utter mastery of telekinetic Force. Kaine nodded a short thank you in the direction of Mikhail before moving closer towards Daella, only to be stopped by a dark Force Barrier from Darc, who had already seen through his illusions. Oh well, the jig was up, and quickly enough the illusions disappeared into nothingness. Kaine brought his lightsaber up to parry and block the blows hurled towards him from Darc's emerald blade, although Kaine did not possess a pure defensive lightsaber form, and thus used a series of counterattacks with Djem So to try and push Darc onto the defensive before sending a telekinetic punch towards Darc's midsection to force him back away from Kaine.

He then threw a glance at Daella, and noticed the necklace she held, distinctly remembering whom it belonged to. So these are the whelps who slew Karin Dorn, interesting... "Dog, I killed Karin Dorn when I was younger than you, and then brought her back to serve me. She was always trouble, and I thank you for ending her miserable existence!"

As @[member="Kaine Zambrano"] spoke mid-sentence, Daella charged forward. She threw the necklace at the Emperor's face. She kept her right arm cocked back as she did so.

Daella did not return any banter to the Emperor. She strode as fast as she could. The bubble weakened and began to dissipate with her movement. Her left arm continued to move after lobbing the necklace and followed through with its motion. She Eventually brought it to her lightsaber hilt - grabbing the bottom half with her left hand. Her torso had twisted clockwise slightly.

Then when Daella got within striking distance, she planted her right foot forward. Her momentum carried her hips forward as she held her shoulder's position - thus making it seem as if she leaned slightly back. Daella kept her eyes on the Emperor's. Her clothes still sizzled from the heat of the lightning earlier. She clenched her teeth. She likely still felt the pain from Kaine's attack, yet she still continued to fight.

With what seemed to be all her strength, Daella then twisted her torso counter-clockwise. Thus, she swung her lightsaber blade horizontally at what would be the same level as Kaine's hips. The blade would swing from Kaine's left to right should he face the girl.

Smoothly, Mikhail parried the yellow saber with his beskar knife. He transitioned swiftly into a low guard with his other arm, phrik armor cushioning the blows of Saki's feet. Her aggression and Vaapad-esque training would serve her no good here. Shorn did not rely on Dark Side-fueled techniques to win his fights. He won by playing dirty with telekinesis.

Before she could launch another barrage of attacks, Mikhail seized her in the Force with an unyielding grip and attempted to smash her repeatedly against the rock strewn ground with bone-breaking force.

Tyr-Kyr felt himself being lifted off the ground. His eyes faded in and out of focus, but he managed to catch a glimpse of the the Republic Troopers carrying him towards a group of gunships stationed on the far side of the academy away from the majority of the fighting. These men must have been part of the Medical Detachment sent to help the wounded across the battlefield. Tyr-Kyr touched his side while the carried him to the gunships and the pulled it up towards his face to reveal the dark red blood that had been seeping from his side. He was cold now. The pain that had racked his body since that fated blow was dealt had subsided and been replaced by a dull numbness that covered the entirety of his being. Though he fought hard, Tyr-Kyr could not manage to keep his conciousness and slowly he passed out.

When Tyr-Kyr awoke his armor and shirt had been stripped, and in their place was a mass of bandages and wrap that encircled his torso. The pain was back now, for as he tried to sit up waves of needle like stings ran the course of his body. One of the medical units approached him pushing him back down upon the table. "You mustn't move you will reopen your wounds. You nearly bled to death and it will take at least one more transfusion before you are capable of moving around freely." The medic said as he pointed to the blood filled bag and the IV connected to Tyr-Kyr's arm. He hadn't the strength to argue so he simply laid back down and starred at the top of the tent before asking the medic. "Is the war still going on?" Though he knew the answer. The first thing he had heard when he had awoken was the said of cannon fire. "Yes sir." The medic said as he washed the blood from his hands in a small bowl beside Tyr-Kyr. "Are we winning?" Tyr-Kyr asked turning to look at the medic. "No." He said without looking at Tyr-Kyr as he went to tend to another patient. So that was it then. They could well lose this battle after so many had died to retake this place. It was all too much for Tyr-Kyr so he closed his eyes and returned to sleep.

Tyr-Kyr wasn't aware of how much time had passed when he awoke. The moans and cries of the wounded soldiers mixed with the distant sound of ongoing war caused Tyr-Kyr's head to spin. The IV was gone from his arm so Tyr-Kyr decided to get up and try to make himself of use. He slipped on his shirt ,noticing the giant blood stain and the hole in it as he did so, then his belt and lightsaber. He slowly walked through the tent looking at the various wounded men. Despite how bad he felt there were some within the dead far worse of than him. He felt sick to his stomach as he stumble towards the entrance to the tent, barely making it there before throwing up on the ground. He looked up and could see how close the enemy troops had gotten. Though they weren't in any immediate danger at the moment, the Republic forces had been routed and were slowly being pushed back towards the academy. Tyr-Kyr swallowed through a dry throat and prepared for the worse, knowing his fighting wasn't done quite yet.

A blast was sent to his midsection that forced Darc to knock back and back flip into a crouch position; sliding backwards on the gravel below his boots. Darc lunged back into battle towards the Emperor. His emerald saber came in a horizontal swing opposite of what Daella was about to deliver, but his came from right to left aiming to cut his torso.

Get out of my way

Marek barreled forward towards @[member="Mikhail Shorn"], @[member="Saki"]'s health was not on his mind right now, nothing mattered but this. Closing the gap between himself and Shorn and unleashing a flurry of reverse grip attacks on Shorn. The sky blade blade slashed at Mikhail's legs, quickly, but lacking in raw power, Marek was hurting Shorn, not killing him. Not yet.

A venomous look shot back at Saki, one could almost see the hate in Marek's eyes, the hate he'd held back so long, the hate that now threatened to bring him over the edge again. But he'd come back from it once, he'd do it again, just not now. "He is mine." He hissed back at her.

Sochi agreed with Ella's sentiment having just the three of them approach the tribes would be less hostile than approaching with troopers. They would still face a danger though from being strangers, three whom they haven't socialized with before. Hmm that was the worst case scenario though. Ru continued along with Aika and Ella as the troopers were ordered to protect the perimeter. They couldn't have been separated that long, but it would seem she was wrong when they were surrounded suddenly by the groups of Ysannan warriors. It would seem they have been watching the Republic members since they landed, it would seem the groups senses were off, or perhaps the natives were just able to avoid being detected, seeing as this was their land. Ru remained calm within their presence and she held her usual professional, conservative stature about her. It wouldn't be her place to talk even if she wanted. She was only here to assist Master Aika. Ru calmly looked around at the group examining them, hoping that they would realize that they had nothing to do with the Sith, and were only here to help liberate.

JEDI TEMPLE RUIN, HELPING KISKLA

Regardless of the outcome of Ravage's attack, Tracyn had opted to forgo the fight with him. He sensed there were others more worthy of his attention in the fight. Such as Kiskla. He had sensed her, and an inner voice screamed at him to go help. Tearing apart from Ravage, Tracyn went on a rampage through the Sith's forces, and what was left of the Graug, the few that remained. He reached Kiskla fighting a bald, dark skinned Master whom he had never seen before. But he sensed an anger about him, a dangerously controlled anger. He breathed in deeply, as he saw a great many things occuring. Kiskla was...interestingly not in control. He didn't take her for the combative type before, but this was just downright dangerous. He stood several meters away from the Sith Master, and spread his legs out. He narrowed his eyes behind his helmet, and then tightened the grip on his lightsaber.

"Su cuy'gar ogir, tion mayjce be ni, Dar'jetii?"
Tracyn chose to not expose any of his skillsets, and simply stared at the Sith, awaiting for his quip back. The distraction and surprise of his entrance should have given her enough time to get the kark up and regain herself.

Jedi Academy Ruins
As the redheaded Jedi Knight lay almost dead within the Temple ruins a voice could be heard. It was not one that anyone was really familiar with, and it wasn't one that anyone would ever really be familiar with. But it was the voice of a Jedi Padawan, one brave enough to rush through Sith Lines and reach a fallen comrade. A flurry of light brown hair raced across the ruins of the Jedi Temple, face obscured by soaking wet hair. The padawan knelt by Diana's side, panic in her voice.

“Hang in there Diana!” The girl yelled loudly to the unconscious woman, and seemed to immediately go to work. From the padawans robes came several bacta patches, not good enough to heal any of Dianas wounds, but good enough to keep the woman alive.

The padawan slapped the bandages onto the redheads wounds, gently applying them and sealing them in place. A look of sheer horror crossed the padwans faced as she noticed Diana's condition. “I have to get you out of here.”

Slowly she slipped her arms beneath Diana, force imbuing her arms and legs and adrenalin pumping through her blood. She lifted the girl from the floor, slipping Diana onto her left shoulder and slowly beginning to leave the temple ruin. A whisper came from Diana, awoken by the pain of being moved.

“Who?”

She had not the strength to continue speaking but the padawan understood her meaning. “I'm Padawan Avalore Eden. Rest now, it will be okay.”

As Avalore finished speaking she somehow managed to carry Diana from the ruins and into the jungles.

After forcing Darc back, Kaine noticed Daella rushing towards him with her lightsaber, and just noticed in the nick of time to see Darc rushing in at him in the exact same manner. A second later the necklace slammed into Kaine's forehead, leaving a rather large welt just above his right eye. Even as he snarled in agitation he could still vividly sense the two rushing at him, a beacon of light and a beacon of darkness closing in rapidly. Slowly a silver hilt clipped to Kaine's belt unclipped itself and flew into his right hand, and from it erupted a brilliant crimson blade. In one smooth motion Kaine angled both blades downwards at a 90 degree angle, barely in time to block both blades as they tried to bisect him right at the waist. His arms strained heavily to keep his blades in place as both of their combined forces battered at them from two different angles.

Kaine gave some leeway to both blades, bringing his arms in closer to his chest as he suddenly pushed outward with massive telekinetic force to push both combatants away from his personal space. His breath became more labored, the exertion of constantly fighting starting to show on his person. His muscles ached and burned like a mother karker, but he had to get past that temporary inconvenience to continue on with this fight that was quickly approaching legendary status. "Clever..." Was all that Kaine said before suddenly he held both sabers in a reverse grip, and extended his hands out towards the ground near the two Jedi, and flung his hands towards the sky. The ground around them and under them suddenly began to buckle and break, the thick chunks of rock being thrust upward from their home to throw them both off balance, and perhaps disorient them. He had used something like this with Darc on the cliff, but doing it on solid ground was harder.

In reaction to the Force Push against her body from @[member="Kaine Zambrano"], Daella stumbled back a couple meters after her blade clashed with one of Kaine’s. She nearly regained her footing in a second. Her knees bent as if she was about to attack once again.

Yet before Daella could even try to lunge forth, the Emperor cracked the ground beneath her feet. She stumbled once more as chunks of rock flew up several feet from the shockwave. Daella’s eyes split away from the Emperor for a second to look at her feet. Then, she looked back up at her opponent.

Without hesitation, Daella leaped forward - not even at full strength due to the momentary loss of footing. She stretched out her arms and pointed her lightsaber toward Kaine’s abdomen as she rocketed forth. With a jump such as what Daella took, recovering on her feet seemed unlikely. Yet, Daella still maintained a stern, focused gaze as her yellow lightsaber whizzed through the painfully rock-filled air toward Kaine’s kidneys.

Kaine was fatigued, but he drew upon his hatred of the Jedi, and his hunger for blood to give him the strength needed to carry on. However; his momentary lapse of concentration allowed Daella to get in close, and before he knew it the white hot blade of Daella's blade pierced his abdomen, but luckily missed his kidney by a narrow margin. Kaine roared with a mixture of shock, anger, and pain as the lightsaber's blade exploded out of his back. He latched onto that pain of the blade, and the absolute livid rage that exploded forth at the mere image of a Jedi dog impaling him in such a manner. It invigorated him, and without another moment's hesitation he flung his left hand out towards Daella's shoulder of her weapon arm. As he reached out with lightning fast reflexes, the glove covering his hand suddenly shredded and revealed a completely cybernetic hand that thrummed with energy. He would repay Daella in kind with a vicious counter attack of his own, while his right hand attempted to swing his saber around to cut through the hilt of her lightsaber while it was still stuck in his body.

The ground shook after Darc and Daella went pushed back a few metres. After swiftly regaining his footing on the ground, he watched has Daella relentless lunged herself at the Emperor. In a moments reaction, Darc leaped and took flight following her wake as she attempted to impale the Emperor. Darc extended a hand, aiding her by conjuring a Force shield that resonated an aura to help sustain her forward movement and provide protection to cushion any damage that would be dealt to her in the process of her delivering attack.

Vulpesen's attack on @[member="Karsh Lithern"] intensified, moving quickly as he worked to pummel the sith's defenses or bring him into a pattern. His word's peirced Vulpesen's concentration just long enough for the shadow to let off with his unrelenting force shaming. The choice of words was also potent enough to let a slash slip in, nicking Vulpesen's side. The burn was painful, but not even close to the worse he had ever had.

Resuming his attack, Vulpesen also continued to berate his opponent, using the force to crush their will as he did so. "I am a shadow. I have sacrificed my own peace to give such a gift to others. After my service is done, then it may exist. Until then, I shall fight." His blades moved faster.

"I am Vulpesen Espadus Torrevaso." The blades became far more random in motion.

"I am the Shadow of Amar." The strokes became harder, pummeling away as the jedi used the leverage of his weapon against the weakening opponent.

"And I am a jedi." His wrists gave a quick twist, separating his blades to reveal their ability to become two separate sabers, one of which he used to bat his opponent's blade upwards and the other made a horizontal slash, aiming to cut the lengthy hilt in half.

Whether or not the slash at the weapon's hilt succeeded, Vulpesen would shove a hand forward, putting his palm against the sith's chest, fairly confident that the long handle would impede any efforts to cut the limb off. "And at the end of the day, who has the greater will?" He finally revealed his lopsided grin, just a split second before unleashing a one of his strongest force pushes, aiming to throw his opponent against the wall of the pit.

Something seemed to overcome the Jedi at that moment, whether it was adrenaline or recklessness. Whatever it was, Josh suddenly took off at a run, flinging himself at the tree that Krag had hidden behind.

Balling up his fist, the Jedi Master suddenly let out a war scream, one that pierced the sky and could be heard for miles around. And suddenly, the Jedi Master actually punched THROUGH the tree. But the best part was, the fist connected with Krag's jaw, sending him crashing into another tree behind him. The tree that Josh had punched through collapsed from where Josh had punched it, falling toward Krag....

.... But it didn't fall on him. Instead, it stopped just short of Krag's head. It created a makeshift bridge from the tree to the higher levels of the one Krag had crashed into, something Josh immediately took advantage of as he nimbly and gracefully ran across the tree-bridge, before leaping up onto a higher up tree branch on the new tree. Tossing a fireball at Krag, Josh leaped from that tree to another, tossing more fireballs at Krag as he landed.

Karsh Lithern

The Living Mutation
Karsh flew fast from @[member="Vulpesen"]. The speed of the Jedi was surreal.

The air come very ragged and was now clearly audible. He had to leave.

In quick succession, Karsh managed to peel himself of the ground while sheathing the blade of his saber, but keeping the extra vibroblade ready, brought out his blaster once more and commenced firing shot after shot, barely allowing time for the weapon to cool down in between. He started to run. Run and shoot. He was pursued. Karsh was damaged and found running to be hard labor. Luckily, Karsh had one thing: speed. His extreme light weight allowed this even in his damaged state. Finding his way haphazardly, he got back to his speeder and got moving with a moment to spare.

He escaped. Barely.

He still had the Jedi's cloth fragment. To Karsh, this and a good deal of time, was all he needed.

Just as Daella’s blade pierced @[member="Kaine Zambrano"], her face seemed to lit up. Her tense face relaxed for a second as her eyebrows parted.

Yet just a moment after, Kaine’s cybernetic hand crashed down on Daella’s right shoulder pad. It was the only pauldron she still wore after an Imperial sharpshooter shot off the left one. Immediately, Daella’s face tensed up once again. Yet, the metal pauldron crumpled and snapped into pieces.

In a blindingly fast moment, a piece of the pauldron flew off into the right side of Daella’s face. She immediately yelped, “Aaah!

Then, the force of the punch threw Daella’s body to the ground. She twisted midair and managed to land on her back with both hands still on her lightsaber. As Kaine attempted to cut off the hilt, Daella deactivated her lightsaber, tucked in her arms, and rolled a couple meters to the side.

As soon as she was far enough distance away, Daella sprung herself back up. She reignited her lightsaber and held it in her right hand - yet she kept her arm dangling in front of her.

At the same time, Daella covered her jaw and right cheek with her left hand. She maintained rapid breaths through her nose. Bright red blood oozed from the bottom of Daella’s hand.

With her eyes still wide, Daella seemed to be in shock for the moment. She maintained her focus on the Emperor, though.

Kaine's cybernetic hand ceased it's humming as the repulsors built into the hand deactivated, and Kaine clutched the gaping wound in his torso with it. There was minimal bleeding from the wound, thanks to it being cauterized instantly by the lightsaber that had pierced it. He obviously showed signs of pain, no matter how hard he tried to conceal it. It was just too much, but that pain gave Kaine power. "Why you little..." Kaine deactivated his lightsaber, letting it re-clip to his belt, and thrust out his right hand and began to funnel his intense hatred for the Jedi, and his own pain, into concentrated arcs of lightning that erupted from his fingertips.

Karsh Lithern

The Living Mutation
-Karsh's ship after battling Vulpesen-

Limping up the bay, Karsh manages to load his speeder in the cargo hold. He goes to his small med bay, which has seen little to no use. And manages to get himself a little more mobile. He uploads orders to the astromech droid R9-63 who would relay them to the rest of his crew. They take off, leaving Ossus, passing easily through the line of defense outside orbit.

Karsh knows these wounds need more than a band aid.
