Thanks everyone for the fantastic turn out. I hope everyone is having fun.

Things should get interesting soon enough! ^__^

Well, since the Lucrehulk is about to be dead man walking, I'd like to point out that another target just arrived in Orbit, and it's going to present a clear and present danger to our friends on the ground. All in favor of switching it up and taking emergency countermeasures against the Sith vessel(s?) in Naboo Space?

Wouldn't mind taking out a few Sithy NPC's, I'll leave the PC's to you sir, and anyone else interested in punching some heretical Sith. Maybe not enough to completely thwart them, but enough to make them think twice about pushing forward.

Naboo is not under alliance authority, and so far as I know it is receiving the alliance as guests. There's been no mention of a blockade and the ships, as of this

The Sith Lord had taken the time to select several vessels to land the soldiers of the Black Legion Mercenary Company, large civilians shuttles and transport, cargo haulers, refugees ships, nothing was marked or even in uniform. An order was issued for mandatory radio silence, the pilots were given their landing coordinates before embarking. There would be no communication between the Sith and the mercenaries.

- they're marked as civilian shuttles. Naboo has plenty of ships coming to and fro, and while there would be increased security, I think a bit of investigation would be in order before the GA starts firing on random ships.

Ah, yes, the old Trojan horse. I read it over and noticed that.

And while Alkor would have no qualms with firing on a civilian vessel, he certainly wouldn't do it without provocation. I assume your Sithliness is using an aura concealment, as well?

I noticed it at some point after I wrote up the possibility. If they're not showing the signs of an unfriendly, there's no real reason to hit them from behind.

Of course, if someone mentions that undesirables are cropping up planetside, it'll compel investigation and search efforts in the space lane. I wager that Interdictor fields would fly up instantly.

I saw that upon reading it over. However a good amount of air traffic would be grounded when there is a battle going on in orbit. Not to mention that the droid control ship while active has been firing on ANY ship that got close enough, and with Rogue Squadron and the others engaged there are quite a few droid fighters buzzing around right now. Not all of them are very near the droid core ship since the original plan was the draw out the fighters, eliminate them and then destroy/disable the core ship. So you are jumping into an active combat zone. ATC would likely divert you until the skies were considered safe enough if you were broadcasting civilian codes. Needless civilian casualties would look bad on the government, so it wouldn't be too likely that you would be landing without an escort at least from security forces especially anywhere near the capital given the gathering going on there. Once on a course with fighter escort you would be directed to a specified location where they could ensure the safety of the civilians who were in transit. It would be pretty standard protocol in such a case as was set up for the dom in my opinion. I'm not trying to say you did anything wrong, it is an open thread after all so these things are liable to happen, but like i said these are just my thoughts based on the situation at hand.

I'm not controlling any of that stuff, just saw something and pointed it out. How all that goes down is between the writer and you guys, though I suspect it would look a bit suspicious all things considered.

Might be good to hail them and figure out why the ships are traveling without escort or somesuch?
