GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: Order of Wonosa

  • Affiliation: Alisteri Haxim (Founder) , TSO , The Dark Side
  • Organization Symbol:

  • Description: The Order of Wonosa is a relatively small cult mainly active in the Northern hemisphere of Formos. Comprised mostly of freed slaves, this cult serves as a way for the poor and disenfranchised of the galaxy to learn about the ways of the Sith and the Dark Side. Although they are dedicated Sith, they do have their own variation of the religion that they call Kotsûshatul Itsu. Through these teachings, as well as the community itself, people are able to better themselves and adjust to being citizens under the Sith banner and help others who are in the same or similar situation. Not only that, but it also allows for the Sith Code and the Dark Side to be ingrained in the minds and methods of all who would join the cult. The main belief, as well as the reason for the name, is the idea of Wonosa. Or, freedom in Basic for those who don't know Ur-Kittat. The tenet that governs the cult more so than any other is the ending of the Sith Code: "Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free." It is this that the cult holds above all else, as it is the tenet of the code that the cult's founder has taken to heart most of all. The priests teach that only through learning and following the Dark Side that one's path in life is assured. Only the Force can guarantee success.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
-The Cargo Frigate Altorius
The Altorius, now unburdened by being the cult's home, has been repaired over the years and restored to a more serviceable military vessel. With the ship now serving with its intended function once more the frigate, while still a far cry from the core of a fleet, the frigate still serves as the cult's most valuable and dangerous asset.

-The Legion of Kerstas
Having evolved from the Warriors of Kerstas militia within the cult, the Legion of Kerstas serves as a fairly organized militant arm. Although not nearly in enough numbers or with enough equipment to rival anything other than gangster and smaller criminal syndicates, the zealots in the Legion stand at the ready to carry the mission of the cult forward at any cost.

-The Formos Dresuoti
Although it is one of the most recent additions to the cult, the base on Formos serves as their new headquarters and houses the majority of the cult's members. Far from an impenetrable fortress or an expansive factory, the Dresuoti is admittedly lacking in the defensive or industrial capabilities that many other bases have. That being said the cult's resources and efforts are being funneled to the Dresuoti in order to improve upon the base.

-The Dominion of Formos
With their home base now firmly established on Formos, it didn't take long for the cult to encounter and interact with the planet's other inhabitants. Although their relationship was, and still somewhat is, one of suspicion the cult did manage to win over a handful of local representatives and influential people after some clever and careful politicking by the High Priest. Although these new additions to the cult wouldn't necessarily join in their religion, they did agree to be bound together in a loose sort of federation in order to better rely on one another and prosper together. Aside from having more settlements to their banner, a handful of business and industrial producers were also included in the Dominion and were centralized into the Formos Industrial Coalition.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy:
  • Wonosa-Chart.png
-High Priest
The High Priest is the highest level of authority in the cult and is usually the most knowledgeable and skilled in the ways of the Sith and the Dark Side. The High Priest is responsible for being the ultimate authority and protector of the cult as a whole, expected to lead the cult to a prosperous new future in the ways of the Dark. The High Priest is meant to almost always be available for the Priests or Prelates to contact should they need assistance. One could almost call the High Priest the "shepherd" of the flock that is the cult.

-Exarchs
Serving as the leaders of the cult's settlements and the highest authorities if the High Priest is unavailable, the Exarchs combine the spiritual guidance of the Priests with the overseer duties of the Prelates. As such any Priest or Prelate is able to ascend to an Exarch if they show enough prowess and skill. They are expected to be examples of the cult's values as well as their role as leaders.

-Prelates
The Prelates are the hand of the High Priest and Exarchs. Their main duty is to act as the overseers of the cult, protecting and helping to guide whatever sect they preside over. They also serve as the judges and arbiters of the cult, settling disputes between cult members as well as disputes with those outside the cult. Prelates are typically not Priests, but rather are chosen from devout and intelligent Followers. There may be one or more prelate per sect or community, but there is usually only a limited number regardless and they naturally follow whichever Prelate is the most senior.

-Priests
Priests are the spiritual guides of the cult and are integral to any ceremony, charity, or sermon that the cult provides. They are picked from the most devout and knowledgeable of the cult members and are given in depth instruction by higher level priests or even the High Priest. It is not required for one to be Force Sensitive to become a Priest, but having some level of connection to the Force certainly puts one on the short list. Priests have a community all their own within the cult's overall community, with each Priest often conferring or assisting the other.

-Followers of the Code
Followers of the Code, or just Followers for short, are the standard members that make up the bulk of the cult. They can be identified by a tattoo of the word 'wonosa' somewhere on their body, as well as little ceremony before said tattooing that is said to give the cultists a certain 'aura' within the Force. They usually have their own smaller hierarchies based on their community but can only really dictate to other Followers and Initiates. Their authority will never conflict with the proper hierarchy of course. The Followers help to organize events, invite new Initiates, and participate in whatever sermon or ceremony a Priest may perform. It is expected that they set an example to all those outside the cult, and as such often hold each other to high levels of scrutiny.

-Initiates
All newcomers to the cult are Initiates. Their only duty is to follow the will of the cult and learn its teachings so that they can become a proper member. Once an Initiate has become truly inducted into the cult they are ranked up to a Follower.
  • Membership: 75 Members. Membership into the cult is very easy, any who attend the sermons or take part in the charities that the cult offers are seen as Initiates. So long as one is willing to be a productive and proactive member, they are welcomed with open arms. The past of an individual seldom matters so long as that individual is determined to better the community of the cult. Force Sensitivity is not at all required for membership or any position other than the High Priest.
  • Climate: The cult is meant to be a community of runaways and freed slaves that seek to make a place for themselves through learning the ways of the Sith and the teachings of the Dark Side. The community is to act like one big family that constantly and consistently helps one another. Alongside this community exists the ever-present teachings of the Dark that promise a prosperous future to all those that seek to join in it.
  • Curios: Small parchments of the Sith Code written in Ur-Kittat.
  • Rules: The Sith Code serves as the primary doctrine of the cult. Its word is law and its teachings are quite literally gospel. Other than that, the main rules are to uphold the honor and community of the cult by treating one another fairly and with respect. This expectation also extends to those outside the cult, and actively preventing or dissuading someone from joining the cult without decent reason is treated as sacrilege. As such, any teachings outside of those allowed by the High Priest are seen as heresy and could result in...grievous consequences.
  • Goals: The main intent of the cult is to better the lives of all those within it and to spread the teachings of the Dark Side amongst the common populace of the galaxy, as well as one day reclaim the lost lands of the Sith Empire.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The cult was founded by Alisteri Haxim, at the time a mere acolyte, after the Ruination of Zygerria. Many slaves and other assorted poor and disenfranchised from Zygerria were left without homes and masters by the event, even more were left without hope and alone. Alisteri, having been a slave himself, took pity on these groups and sought to help them integrate and adjust to their new lives away from Zygerria. He could offer no monetary support, but would always be available for advice and as a reference or helping hand for these people. A small community began forming between these survivors, cultivated by Alisteri who would visit and call regularly to ensure that they were doing alright. Soon enough, most of his advice became intertwined with his experience as a Sith and as such his messages to the community were heavily entrenched in the ideas of the Dark Side.

The cult formed naturally over the course of several months, with the community growing more and more reliant on both each other and the teachings of Alisteri to survive and thrive in their new lives. Eventually he began teaching small groups of people more in-depth about the Sith and the Dark Side, making the first Priests of the cult. Over the next few days and weeks Alisteri refined and made solid structures within the community as his teachings seeped ever more into the daily lives of these outcasts. The next that anyone knew their community had been slowly transformed into a surprisingly good-natured cult founded on the Dark Side and a strong sense of community.

Even then it wasn't until a moonlit sermon by Alisteri that the cult was truly named and established, but by then there were already semi-regular sermons being done by the acolyte and the first few Priests. The cult quickly took root within the local community of Zygerrian refugees and some of the poorer and downtrodden residents around Dromund Kaas.

Keeping true to their roots, the main activities of the cult were mostly centered around helping the community. Charities and sermons, community led and funded projects, soup kitchens, even helping people get jobs by putting in good words and serving as good references. The cult quickly instilled itself as a small and helpful group on Dromund Kaas, though most of their activity centered around Kaas City and it's poorer districts. As the wars of the Sith Empire raged on however, the cult was inevitably affected. They had been disturbed during the Sacking of Kaas City, but thankfully none of them had been harmed.

This attack on their new home opened the eyes of many members of the cult however.

Even after all of their efforts in building new lives in the cult, the outside world was still there. It was just as dangerous as ever and it wouldn't leave them alone. As such, there were several members that enlisted to become Legionnaires and help to protect the Empire. Not only that, but as the Second Invasion of Ziost began, seven cultists accompanied Alisteri to Ziost and they went on to try and help the occupied citizens of New Adasta. They, alongside others, sought to spur the citizens to fight back against the GA forces that now held the city captive.

All seven were killed during the battle, their bodies could not be recovered.

Not long afterwards, the cult held a funeral for the fallen that never made it home. The sentiments of nationalism and religious fervor that had now rooted in almost every member were stoked to a burning point by their High Priest as he urged them not only to remember the fallen, but to fight for what they had died for. To give back to the Empire and help to ensure that whatever came to destroy their new lives and family didn't come unhindered. This event led to the first beginnings of militia training within the cult.

The militia was collectively referred to as the Warriors of Kerstas.

Despite the best efforts of the cult however, the Sith Empire would not last. In the latter days of the empire, the cult focused their efforts on a mixture of refugee support and their own projects. The main project being the repair, refueling, and stockpiling of supplies for the ship Altorius. When the Sith Empire inevitably fell to their numerous enemies and internal instability, the cult did not sit idly by and wait for the downfall to claim them as well. Gathering together all their resources, members, and any refugees willing to earn their stay, they boarded their ship and made their way off of Dromund Kaas.

This event, known as their Dark Exodus, would set them on the path of a pilgrimage across the stars. Now, rather than providing shelter and food for the poor of the empire, they would wander from system to system and use their efforts and limited connections to stay alive and keep the ship moving. They would avoid their enemy and offer what little help they could provide to those in need, but above all their High Priest gave them one goal.

They were to serve as the remnants of the Sith Empire, and they would survive.

The long pilgrimage of the cult would test even the most zealous of the cult's members. From traitors that had lost faith in the cult to new missions and tenets that would further their goals, to raids and missions for supplies and even more divisions within the cult, the cult would spend the better part of nine years aboard the Altorius. Over the years new members were inducted and born, the militia slowly became standardized into a legion, and all the while the noble intentions of the High Priest would turn and twist as more and more dark artifacts and knowledge was recovered by the cult over their journey.

Finally though a revelation built from need and desperation would lead the cult to organize a "fundraiser" under the instruction of the High Priest. With new funds and a new purpose the High Priest would lead them to their new home on Formos. With the cult now established in a permanent place and the Altorius and Legion now ready to strike and extend the will of the cult, they began interacting and assisting the local inhabitants of Formos in order to gain favor with them. It took time and effort, but eventually the cult did manage to build up a reputation as a benevolent yet firm protector.

This culminated in a meeting of the local powers around the Dresuoti, and the formation of a new power intent on uniting Formos and providing the planet a properly stable government. Alongside this new rise as a local power, the High Priest dictated that a new and proper name for the cult was warranted given how far they had come and how far they intended to go.

And thus the Dark Wonosa Cult had been reforged into the Order of Wonosa, a proper Sith order.

Now with a somewhat reliable base of support and expansion as well as a steady supply of refined and raw materials from their Dominion, the stage is set for the cult to begin their Dark Campaign...
