DM if anyone else wants to get on board

Dr. Harris sat at her personal station drumming a pencil on the desk, she had been planning this expedition for a while. She intended to be at the forefront of repairing the damage that had been done to the thousands of worlds ravaged by the Bryn'adul.

She was a Xenobotanology expert and wanted to find out as much as she could about the effects on the local flora, whether it was reversible, and what that process might look like. She may not see it but would made certain her children and grand children would see a time when the galaxy was restored. Her work with the Ashlan Crusade had allowed her to secure funding for this expedition, they were now moving toward a more humanitarian position and rebuilding Bryn destroyed worlds was a long term objective.

Her university had provided research assistants, additional field equipment and other specialist research tools.

From contacts in the Eternal Empire science institute, she had secured military support and several scientific minds. The planet was deep in Bryn territory, and even with the collapse of the Bryn leadership there was still a lot of dangers out there. She had expected to be handed a load of iron clad Ultranauts, but had emphasised the need for rapid redeployment once on world and being able to move quickly to new sites. She was very pleasantly surprised to see that her quite specific request was granted. She would have to be careful to remain professional for this journey though in front of the other members. While she as a civilian scientist could get away with fraternising, she wouldn't allow herself to put her Eleena into an uncomfortable professional situation, maybe some late night debriefings would allow a moment of private time. She smiled to herself as she adjusted her hair in the mirror.

The rest of the scientists, leading minds from around the galaxy were in the conference room. She had not seen the swoop squadron yet as they boarded from the main cargo bay shortly before the jump to hyperspace and she suspected they were still securing their equipment and settling in. The Cargo bay had been assigned as their barrack for the duration.

Trinity stood up and looked at herself in her dark green Guarderma Bio-suit with a loose fitting lab coat over the top. She looked good, she wouldn't normally care about that, but she wanted to make a good impression on all the attendees present.

Walking to the conference room she send a brief message via the internal comm. "Officer Salwa, please report to the conference room with your security briefing"

She got to the door, briefly mentally prepared herself and entered, seeing the other scientists waiting for her as she took the lectern.

"Good morning, and thank you for all for joining us," seated in front of her were her assistants, several of the key scientists and a row of holos of attendees reporting in from their own ships.

"It will take us a little over 24 hours to arrive at Lowick at our current speed, tonight their will be a short dinner open to all aboard and then I suggest early lights out." Tomorrow was going to be a busy day for everyone.

"A quick bit of housekeeping, I have given you each access to the appropriate onboard facilities. Laboratory schedules and booking can be found on the home page of your data slate, please remember to book your slots and correctly mark the bio-security requirements, I do not want to have to chase a killer virus around the ship because someone was assigned the wrong lab"

She paused for a few moments and her name appeared on the schedule behind her.

"As you are all aware, I am Doctor Harris and will be leading this expedition, although you all had autonomy over your own projects. This will be the first of a series of expeditions, with the aim of beginning the reversal of the Bryn damage." She took a sip from her cup. "My team will be focusing on the native flora and any Bryn corruption"

Dr. Harris spent a few minutes on the introduction, explaining her work and discussing her aims for this mission.

"While we are here, I would like you each to introduce yourselves and just give us a little about your objectives, that way we can synchronise our efforts and get the most from the mission. I am also going to ask our military Attaché to say a few words about the security situation." She didn't like these meetings, but a quick introduction would vastly improve their efficiency for when they landed the next morning.

Trinity spoke for a few more minutes and then yielded the floor to the next speaker.

While her own ship would be present so she had access to her own equipment and crew, she right now waited on the other ship, as it would be easier to get things done that way and she'd just never felt comfortable with doing everything by holograms, preferring to speak face to face or telepathically. She wore her robes. She'd figure out what exactly was necessary as far as safety went when she actually got to the planet, some adaptations she could do herself so she wasn't sure yet an enviro-suit would be required. Two rings did sit on one hand, the kestralis-ring and the kaliek. Her shield could come regardless. She had ensured her ship was also equipped with sufficient gkchrn just in case there was a need for medical attention, although, it's effects could also be something worth studying on the altered planet. She would have to do so with care. And of course equipped with biological-medical-reconstruction-device, what Vran doctor would go without them.

In truth, she was certainly not here for the Eternal Empire, though it was through them that she'd ended up here. She didn't really care for them, however, there was much that could be learned here. And hopefully she could help the planet as well. She was certainly not familiar with terraforming methods but she was well aware of biology and it's alterations, so perhaps it would be sufficient. That and she had her team on board her ship. Akronikus and her were used to working on things.

She looked up as Trinity Harris Trinity Harris approached the lectern. She had her own labs, she'd stick to them once they got on planet. She also didn't know for sure if she'd be used to their equipment or vice versa, best not to risk screwing something up. Harris introduced herself, her position and authority in things, but clarifying they still maintained their own projects.

She also turned over the introductions to the others, she did want them to work together, which was fine with Shavara. This was science after-all it required group efforts to achieve the best results, in her experience at least. When it came her turn to speak she would stand up, if she was meant to the lectern she would go, if not she'd simply ensure she spoke loud enough. Nodding her head slightly, her Vran Accent, if one knew what that was, was clear. Words pronounced just as a dictionary would dictate, "Greetings to all. I am a Vo Ni called Shavara Warksher. I am a biologist and alchemist from my home of Vran'Ti, which is inside the Eternal Empires territory. I will mostly be working on my own ship because of probable technology differences and familiarity, but I am quite willing to cooperate with any of you. My intent is to study any fauna that may be here, and impacts that may be had on the fauna by the planets changes. If we have anywhere to store group information I will be putting up-more details on our goals and what we have there, as they do not translate as efficiently into basic without imagery based help. Thank you."

With that finished she would go sit down, she'd have her goals set up on any network they might have along with mission relevant details. Information was a valuable thing and so was sharing it.

Professor Guinevere would be sitting on a chair at the table for the conference between leading experts in the galaxy. Today's subject would no doubt be about the restoration of the bryn'adul destoryed worlds into their pre-terraforming status. As such she had to be prepared for any subject during her stay here; writing down notes in her large binder while they waited for the main coordinator and host of this gathering to present herself. Lenora wouldn't have agreed to come to this meeting; without checking out the public profile of the host and had learned that Doctor Harris was an expert in the field of Xenobotanology; and that was a field that she would be interest in if she had the time away from her university teaching on Spindle VI. Peering up from her binder from time to time; wearing her purple round spectacles that she often wore to appear more professional around others. Lenora didn't want to impress anyone today at this gathering; but had decided on a formal suit and a large black with a golden trim cloak that hung over her left shoulder; this outfit was a simple but powerful statement that she meant business during the event. Her flowing silver hair would sit on her shoulders; having purple highlights as well to add to her unique image.

Her gaze fell over to the door of the conference room; watching as the main coordinator of the gathering would walk into the room in her desired wardrobe. She listened intently to her introduction; multitasking between taking notes and giving her full attention to the woman in the room that had the floor right now. Lenora would write down a few things such as
"That they would arrive at Lowrick in over 24 hours." which would give her enough time to gather her examination papers and data sheets that she often would take with her on these long trips for science. She took note of the dinner; but would decide later if she wanted to intend in person or skip the dinner altogether in order to focus in on our research while she still had time. Lenora would flip the page in her binder; writing down that "The Facilities of the Vessel would need to be booked in advance and to list the current biosecurity measures that would be needed. Since having a virus escape wouldn't be good for all aboard." before turning the page back; and put the pen back into place for now unless she needed to write down more things to remember during her stay on board the ship. She fully paid attention; while Doctor Harris would explain what was going on and where her team would be stationed studying the native flora and bryn'adul corruption; while telling them that they had full autonomy over their individual projects but it would be only a first expedition to recover from the massive amount of damage caused by the bryn'adul horde.

She would think over her introduction speech; letting someone else do it first before she did. Just incase there was some level of expectation that was required in order to be fully recognized as an equal among them. Lenora was all for; helping planet's recover from war or other terrible disasters and would do whatever was required of her to help the mission along. Her gaze would stare at another woman in the room as she stood up and introduced herself; hearing a distinct accent but not exactly sure where it has come from at the moment. She took notes while the other woman was speaking; and had announced herself as "Shavara Warksher" and that she was from a planet within the Eternal Empire's Space; and that she was quite willing to work with all of them to achieve the desired outcome. Shavara Warksher would be studying the fauna of the planet that was affected by the change. She opened up her binder and documented down;
"Have a group information channel to put up more details of their individual objectives so that everyone could understand the research as it went along." Once the speaker got done; Lenora would stand up her own self after putting her pen down. "Greetings to everyone present. I am Professor Lenora Augustina Guinevere or Professor Guinevere for short. I would like to start my introduction; by thanking everyone that has arrived at this gathering to assist Doctor Harris with her noble mission of restoring the world's affected by the byrn. Although my main degree is in the general studies of the force; I also have an advanced certification in the field of bioengineering if anyone requires my assistance during their own projects. I'd be happy to lend my aid to them; now back onto the main subject. My main objective of this expedition will be the study of atmospheric changes that have occured during the terraforming; if the atmosphere has become more toxic to humanoids or other species and; not to mention if the natural weather of the world has been affected by such an intense change. That is where my team will be focusing; I also look forward to working with everyone here to reverse the changes caused by the bryn in anyway that I can. Thank you for taking the time to listen." She finished her statement; sitting back down and grabbing her pen that was on the table to write down more notes during the gathering. Gazing around until someone else would begin speaking. She needed to gather her team and start writing down some formulas to begin her testing once they arrived.

Adrian sat in one of the chairs, keeping his feet on the table. He was still reading various scientific articles that MANIAC had projected onto his retina. He was wearing expensive clothes, expensive shoes, a cane was propped up next to the young man, and a strange looking crow on his shoulder. He looked up, bored, introduction? Seriously?

It was a science expedition, or some kind of kindergarten. He preferred to circulate their scientific publications to each other, they will know more about each other from those. It was a complete miracle that his mother had not sent any Karza'Arana or anyone from the Shadow Company with him as bodyguard. Geldana was here, but she was different.

"I hardly have to introduce myself, only the one who has kept their head in the sand so far does not know me." he smirked.

This was actually true, on the one hand it was known that the Prince of the Eternal Empire, and on the other hand he looked exactly like his late father, Darth Prospero (Adrian Vandiir), only his hair had some reddish hue too that he inherited from his mother. Ironically, Adrian looked more like his father, it was Eina who was more like their mother.

"Adrian L'lerim-Vandiir. And let me not list the nearly fifteen or twenty kinds of scientific disciplines from which I have university courses currently." he shrugged.

He hadn't been able to decide since he talked to Yula Perl Yula Perl at Denon; he decided to continue learning from everything and then it would turn out. And it would not have been appropriate at this point to say that Sith sorcery, alchemy and sith spawn making are his main specialties. In every area where his parents were good, he was also brilliant. At times, he was happy with the genetic anomaly. In the meantime, he instructed MANIAC to download the scientific publications of the others from HoloNet. He will learn more about them.

~ And MANIAC, put a thousand credits on the science academy's gamble on point B, according to which the ego of those present will dismantle the ship within 48 standard hours. ~ he "said" to the AI in thought.

OOC: who is relatively new on Chaos, was Adrian’s father, the Prince Consort of the Eternal Empire, in addition to being one of the leaders of the Sith Empire (dark counsellor and later pillar), in addition to being one of the best Sith sorcerers and scientist (beside Taeli, ofc). Last but not least, he was one of the most persecuted Sith Lords by the NIO.

“You know Eleena, I’m still confused as to why this lady keeps calling for you, in particular, even though I’m your senior officer. I get the feeling that something is...afoot.”

Isena's speculation as to why Eleena’s new girlfriend kept calling for her in particular couldn’t have come at a more uncomfortable time, as the two swoop aces walked down the hallway on a path towards the conference room. Once more, Eleena felt the blush forming across her alabaster features, knowing that the pink had visually manifested based on the Echani’s playful snigger.

“Oh, umm...well…” Eleena scratched her lekku, somewhat uneasily, before taking a deep, resolved breath. “We met somewhere and umm well...now we’re girlfriends.” She said bluntly.

Now, it was Isena’s time to feel awkward.

“Oh! You know, I probably shouldn’t ask anymore then.” The Echani said. “But, I'm glad to see that you’ve been getting out.” She added. “I’ll leave the simulators in the afternoon and I see you doing missions, then I come back in the morning and there you are still doing them. You know Eleena, I was beginning to worry.”

“Yeah...” Eleena finished.

The two swoop aces arrived in the conference room two minutes before the Trinity initiated the briefing, relieved that the scientist began the meeting at the exact time it had been scheduled. Giving a soft, discreet smile to Trinity just before she began speaking, Eleena paid attention to her as she spoke, but otherwise did nothing to attract her attention in an undue fashion. She looked on with pride, knowing how lucky she was to date someone who was so accomplished, intelligent, and well-rounded. In stark contrast, Eleena had been created for the sole purpose of killing. The fact that she could do things beyond that, however, was something that Trinity was making her more and more aware of each day, encouraging her to apply to university owing to the fact that she could attend virtually any school in Eternal Imperial space for free owing to her military service.

After all, in the event of the Empire’s fall or recession, it might be good to have a backup plan that didn’t involve transferring to another military.

After listening to each of the scientists as they introduced themselves and explained their projects, Eleena listened patiently as her commanding officer began to deliver the briefing

“Good evening. I am Warrant Officer Isena Elysi and I’ll be leading the military escort that will be accompanying the expedition to the surface. Firstly, I am sure that you are all aware of the hazards on the surface, so I will not go into too much detail pertaining to that. However, I will reiterate the importance of staying together and keeping track of everyone who goes planetside. As it stands, there are multiple operations running to purge the Bryn'adûl remnants through Wild Space, notably by House Io and Eternal Empire forces. Lowick has seen some...cleansing in that regard, but the situation is still very much unstable. However, the area we will be exploring is one that has been...relatively secured by Ultranaut forces, but the alert status remains high. That said, if there are any further questions, please let us know. Thank you.”
