OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Gkchrn
  • Origins: Alchemy/Biological alterations
  • Other Locations: Can be made effectively anywhere as it isn't naturally grown, but only by those who learn how to actually create it and possess the capability to do so.
  • Classification: Multi-celled alchemic organism
  • Average Growth Cycle: Gkchrn preforms asexual reproduction of each individual cell. They Split into two separate cells then grow and repeat the process. The time this takes is based upon how much energy they obtain.
  • Viability: Gkchrn uses the force to grow and heal. And survives on it primarily. As a last resort, when it is not “fed” through the force it will require plenty of water and may survive on soil or organic matter. These factors can also be used to make keeping it alive through the force less difficult.
  • Description: Gkchrn looks almost like a goop, slime, or sludge to most. It is not quite a liquid and moves more like clay mud, easily separated or mashed together without it meaning anything different. It’s color is usually of a blue or green nature but it can change depending on what it’s fed.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Average Height: N/a
  • Average Length: N/a
  • Color: Generally blue or green when feeding mostly on the force. However may change color depending on what it is fed.
  • Nutritional Value: The Gkchrn could be eaten but it’s taste is likely awful and it would provide little nutrition. It could pose health risks (if still living) as well if the stomach is not acidic enough, as it may continue to grow. Most species with a human digestive system or better would be able to dissolve it, but it is ill advised for weaker species.
  • Toxicity: None other than its own potential growth (if still alive).
  • Other Effects: Gkchrn was designed specifically as an easily transferable method of healing. Gkchrn recognizes damaged and dead tissue, eating that which has died and altering its own design to follow the growth pattern of where the damage should be based on the body's response to it. This allows Gkchrn to not only help prevent bleeding out or similar issues, but also means the body doesn’t experience the exhaustion that accelerated healing growth causes from some alternatives. However it is advised that once this process has finished the Gkchrn be wiped off, so as to avoid it ultimately attempting to continue living from them. Gkchrn was designed to be vulnerable to certain chemicals, which kill off any remaining cells in contact like a safety switch. This helps prevent unwanted additional tissue or further survival of the Gkchrn on someone's body.
  • Distinctions: The Gkchrn is easily separated from itself without any danger to its safety. As the only risk it has with its own size is if it becomes too big to support all of it, in which case it’ll die according to how much it has access to much like a larger ecosystem.
Strengths:
  • Able to be grown through the force, allowing force users to easily bring it with them and use their abilities to more efficiently heal others. Finding a mix between the force and medicine. But can survive off of naturally found things.
  • Designed to be able to be killed off should there be risk of going out of control.
  • Easily transported through use of containers filled with nutrition and water which should maintain a small amount over a long period.
  • Will naturally feed in force abundant areas.
  • Works best on external injuries, not diseases. The Gkchrn only repairs and replaces tissue, not perfecting it. That would be the job of the doctor or force user. The design allows it to work especially well on muscle damage. Though one may want to let it stay for awhile even if it feels correct, to be sure all of the tissue is together with the existing tissue.
  • Can be created theoretically by any force sensitive who is able to follow the instructions.
Weaknesses:
  • Easily killed by dangerous environments if not protected by the force. Too much heat or near freezing temperatures will easily destroy it. If not fed by the force, it requires plenty of water as well and will need either good soil or organic matter.
  • Cannot be created by non force sensitives.
  • More difficult to use efficiently by non force sensitives.
  • Could theoretically grow out of control in force abundant areas if not properly killed.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Gkchrn was created under the disguise of Sar Vun belonging to Shavara, but was intentionally made almost completely public. This was to provide a way to easily heal others that alchemist Vo Ni would be able to use on the go, rather than relying on smaller tools. While alternative methods would still be necessary for the perfecting of damaged tissue, this would help with the actual aspect of repair and especially replacement of tissue. Vo Ni (or other force sensitives with proper knowledge) in particular would have an advantage guiding the growth and changes of the organism. Alternative forms have existed in the past that may resemble it, but most were not fed as much by the force allowing it to be far easier for it to be manipulated by a force sensitive who understands it. The reason it was so easily accepted in spite of Sar Vun's current position in regards to the leadership of the planet, is that Vran value knowledge to an extreme and regardless of it's origin technology and information has value that can be used.
