OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: Detail the Inquisition's artifact hunters and a point of contact between them and the Tsis'kal
  • Image Credit: STAR WARS: Winter Purge by Vin Gattuso on ArtStation; Purge Troopers by Anthony Rios on ArtStation
  • Role: The Seekers specialise in the retrieval of Sith and other Force-imbued artifacts for the Inquisition to keep to itself as per the organisation's mission to control any threats to the Sith.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: The Inquisition
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: The Order of the Seekers
  • Affiliation: Inquisitorius
  • Classification: Elite Infantry, Recon, Special Ops
  • Description: The Seekers are an elite unit of specialists, comprising force-sensitives, detached squads from the Legion, and even 'civilian' experts. In the field, during retrieval operations, they all wear a specialised form of Sith-Imperial Legionnaire Armor in colours similar to but distinct to the Inquisition's 67th Legion, with small markings indicative of their ties to the Null Legion.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
Strengths:
  • Secure, Contain, Protect: The Seekers have specialised knowledge and are specially trained to counter manifestations of the Force and to capture or neutralise them at any cost. This includes Force users, artifacts, anomalies etc. What would normally be a danger terrifying an entire star system is a one-day mission for a coordinated group of a dozen Seekers.
  • Mobile Task Force: Light and mobile, groups of Seekers can inter-operate with little friction with other detachments, and be deployed with little logistical baggage or lag time to assist Inquisitors in emergencies and the retrieval process.
Weaknesses:
  • Not for everyone: Specialist training and numbers mean every loss is felt keenly
  • Not for everything: Not meant for 'combat' combat against a military force. They use military force but their mission parameters differ hugely from warfare
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Tsis'Kal Lorekeeper Union's desire to expand their knowledge, influence and contacts intersected with the Inquisition's need for specialists capable of retrieving artifacts, securing locations and capturing unusual beings that might pose a threat to the Sith or could be turned to serve the Sith. Together, leaders of both groups came to an agreement. The Union's Null Legion would provide its knowledge of the arcane to assist the Inquisition in training specialist task forces to carry out that mission, and in return the Union would be given access to the information and artifacts for study. While Seekers ultimately answer to the Inquisition, they maintain strong ties with their trainers in the Null Legion.
