OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Sith-Imperial Corps of Engineers
  • Affiliation: The Sith Empire
  • Model: Sith-Imperial "Judicator" Adaptive Battle Rifle
  • Modularity: Very High; numerous variants exist, significant degree of interchangeability post-production.
    • Standardised Scope Rail; standard-issue Legion Judicators come either with no scope (as Legionnaires often rely on helmet sensors), a sleek scope designed for CQC and mid-to-long range combat, or a large scope packed with sensors (see art) for dedicated snipers.
    • Commandos, special forces, and the like are sometimes issued flash-hiders and high-end silencers that reduce the sound generated by the weapon firing to something akin to a soft pop; often paired with reflec paint if the soldier's armour is similarily sensor-baffling.
    • Ergonomic alterations are common for officers and special forces as well as for species with unusual biologies, such as Lamproids. Can be scaled up or down during manufacturing to suit larger or smaller soldiers, increasing or decreasing firepower respectively.
    • Various attachment mounts for vibro-bayonets, ascension cables, underslung grenade or microgrenade launchers, etc.
    • Optional biometric locks and/or electronic anti-theft countermeasures; can be linked to Legionnaire armour.
    • Camouflage and various cosmetic alterations.
  • Production: Minor
  • Material: Reinforced Tridurium, Agrinium, Myoflex, Dallorian Alloy, Galven Coils, & Misc. Blaster Components.

  • Rate of Fire: High (10 RPS) | Average (3 RPS) | Low (20 RPM)
    • High: Full-Auto, Three-Shot Bursts, and Semi-Automatic.
    • Average: Three-Shot Bursts and Semi-Automatic.
    • Low: Semi-Automatic, only one shot per three seconds.
  • Stopping Power: High (Standard) | Very High (Supercharged)
  • Recoil: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • The Judicator is equipped with the specialised machinery required to supercharge its bolts, tripling the strain it puts on the power cell in order to fire potent particle beams that explode upon contact with significantly more force than its already powerful blaster bolts; given the high standards of the Ministry of Logistics' blaster gas, stun bolts are blue, regular bolts green, and particle beams a volatile-looking white-green.
  • To aid in its role as an all-purpose service rifle, the Judicator is outfitted with an innovative Bolt Integrity Enhancer, allowing it to sacrifice rate of fire in favour of range - the exact workings of this system is confidential, but the galven coils are believed to be an essential component.
  • In addition to the optional features listed under "Modularity", all Judicators possess retractable stocks and an integrated bipod stand, though the latter is often replaced with a sturdier variant possessing integrated stabilisers when issued to dedicated snipers.
STRENGTHS
  • All-Purpose: Suitable for nearly any environment (including underwater) and everything from close-quarters combat to sniper duty even in its default configuration, a truly vast lineup of possible modifications only adds to the Judicator's versatility, as does its large ammunition capacity.
  • Lethality: Even in its default firing mode the Judicator is more powerful than the Galactic Empire's E-11, with its supercharge bolts being more powerful still, making them well-suited to combat heavy armour, Jedi, and even light vehicles.
WEAKNESSES
  • Size Matters: While hardly unwieldy, battle rifles like the Judicator are not quite as well-suited for close-quarters combat as carbines.
  • Hot Potato: Constructed from heat resistant materials it may be, but firing supercharged bolts on full auto is still a risky prospect; even a few seconds of fire will make the Judicator unbearably hot for unarmoured personnel and emptying a power cell might melt internal components!
DESCRIPTION
Even in a galaxy plagued by war and disorder, the wheels of progress march ever onward - perhaps no place is this more evident than in the stream of new armaments and warship continuously being pumped into the furnace of war, with what works being used as a basis for further development.

Built upon the lessons learned by the
Autokrator and its predecessors, the Judicator was designed to meet a need for an even more versatile service rifle, one able to be incorporated into the Legion's training program and deployed to any battlefield, in nearly any capacity.

In the end, it was this near-unparalleled versatility that saw the new weapon manufactured in sprawling factories throughout Sith-Imperial space and distributed to the vast legions that march beneath its crimson banners - utilising the bleeding-edge of manufacturing techniques, these rifles were not only modular but able to be drastically altered during production, their very frames enlarged, shrunk, and twisted to fit the strangest of biologies...

... for in the Sith Empire, all are expected to serve, regardless of species, and few avenues of service are more well-respected than that of war.
