- Interior space: Despite their size the Reaper-class Starfighter is still a one-man operated vessel, specifically meant for those of much taller stature compared to humanoids and other similarly sized beings. It also means this vessel has quite the cargo space for additional ordinance and spares.
- Automation: The Reaper class has been automated to further enhance its potential, allowing for the onboard AI to operate the ship separately from the pilot through remote controlled operation, which effectively makes this starfighter a mixture between a droid starfighter and a standard operated starfighter.
- Armament loadout: Unlike most starfighters, this particular limited series packs a very functional punch with a loadout which allows for it to be both an interceptor, a raider and a bomber, capable of dogfighting with much smaller ships thanks to its systems and electronical loadout and capable of crippling capital ships thanks to the combination of rapidfire lasers and large options in terms of missiles and bombs.
- Fully automated: As with the majority of N&Z ships, this ship has the automation both as a boon and a bane, for when the system works, it is an absolute godsent, but when it fails and the crew is shorthanded to handle the menial, but crucial tasks on the ship it could become a problem, especially when there is no experienced engineer or mechanic on board to keep an eye on the engines and reactor without the AI system keeping it all in check.
- No rookie pilots: Because of its unique cockpit and systems' set up, flying this beast is not for the rookies amongst pilots. Even with the AI handling most of the tasks, a steady hand and good experience are quite mandatory, especially when engaging either of the SLAB or AIMS systems installed.
- Takes up a lot of space: Because of its size, the squadron size is very limited, making it a quite cumbersome deal for capital ships.
The NZ/DIA Reaper-class starfighter is probably the most unique thing to have come out of the Bescane shipyards so far. As a starfighter build for pilots of a far above average stature, it has the size and bulk more akin to that of freighters such as a YT class freighter, yet still remains only useable and operationally optimized for a single person crew, despite the very generous interior size, which allows for a larger cargo space next to the already increased space for the cockpit itself.
While the weaponry and general systems were primarily based on the Eradicator, the basis was upscaled substantially in order to make sure it would be suitable to larger species and pilots of an above average stature without problems. Assisted by top notch AI and additional communication and sensory systems, it was planned for this vessel to remain just as sharp, just as maneuvrable and controllable as any other of the starfighters, even those whose size was but a fifth of the Reaper Class.
Outfitted with top notch electrical systems, stealth systems and sensory arrays, the Reaper can be utilized in many roles, ranging from standard shuttle to that of a bomber, a reconaissance vessel and a starfighter, capable of space and atmospheric combat, with the ability to scramble sensors, hijack communication and even figure out the location of enemies through magnetic field readouts, The Reaper surely has the potential to make its name into a reality, as in the hands of a skilled pilot, it may very well become the terror of any space engagement.
