Work In Progress Kytrand

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To describe a deep core planet once controlled by Nathan's Family
dcheuh7-1a10c436-28c1-4d49-b5e6-738c5e8984d1.png

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Planet Name: Kytrand
  • Demonym: Kytrani
  • Region: Deep Core
  • System Name: Sorceress System
  • System Features: The Sorceress System has a single yellow star, and has One Moon, Natalee, which has massive volcanic activity and electrical storms. It's in the "Goldilocks" zone of habitability, with a 20 hour rotation period, with 8 days in a week, and an orbital period of 400 days in a year.
  • Location: In between Kampe and Prakith in the Deep Core (Would like it added to the map)
  • Major Imports: The planet regularly imported essential supplies and technology in it's heydey and this process has continued since being resettled.
  • Major Exports: The planet has an unusually high amount of rare, precious metals as well as gemstones and lightsaber crystals unique to the planet. It's also a major production planet for Bacta
  • Unexploited Resources: Petroleum Deposits and natural gas are in massive quantities all with common metals
GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Standard
  • Climate: Temperate
  • Primary Terrain: Grassland, Mountains, Oceans, Tundras, Forests, and deserts
  • Atmosphere: Type 1
LOCATION INFORMATION

  • Capital City: None
  • Planetary Features: Largely untouched forests and plains and oceans, grasslands are dotted by the remains of small communities behind forts, and major Bacta Production facilities either still functional or waiting to be restored. The Mountains are absolutely dotted with mining tunnels. The deserts however, contain an unsettlingly high number of ruins
  • Major Locations:

Bacta Production facilities

1200px-Water_Purification_Plant_near_Kadi.jpg

These automated facilities were built all over Kytrand, operating round the clock and maintained by repair drones, endlessly storing Bacta in vast underground stasis chambers for later use Kytrand has quite possibly larger Bacta Reserves than even Thyferra

Bloodscrawl Mines

Blegny-Mine_-_Gallery_-_01.jpg

Set in the mountains, these mines extract Kytrand's riches via automated mining drones, storing gemstones, precious metals and Kybers it finds in special warehouses

Kytrand Storages

WesternSpringsWaterTower.JPG

The towers are heavily defended by hidden stun turrets, as they store Kytrand's wealth of gems, crystals and other finds in these towers
  • Force Nexus (Optional): Yes
Intent: Create a Powerful Light Side Nexus to explain why Kytrand has such an abundance of lightsaber crystals in and gems
    Nexus Name: Cinndurr"s Nexus
  • Nexus Alignment: Light
  • Size: Planetary
  • Strength: Strong
  • Accessibility: The Nexus affects everything is above and below the planet's surface. You're accessing it just by being there
  • Effects: The Nexus attempts to induce intense calm and pacifistic, altruistic behavior. Jedi may find their strength with all light side abilities tripled...at the cost of all their Neutral abilities reduced in strength by the same amount. Darksiders may possibly feel extreme weakness and nausea just by crossing into its atmosphere and may possibly find all their abilities reduced in strength by a factor of three. It may attack their minds, trying to shatter the Dark Side's hold on them by forcing them to confront their darkest fears. It is believed the effects of the Nexus are so pervasive it has permanently altered all of Kytrand's crust, to the point deposits of minerals everywhere have a high chance of producing rare gems or Lightsaber crystals, and deposits bubbling up from the core of the planet are actively being altered by the Nexus before settling into their final forms

POPULATION
  • Native Species:
  • Immigrated Species: Refugees from the Scar worlds as well as those fleeing Sith and Mandalorian Space
Blackfish, Lambro Shark, Corellian Butterfly, Coruscant Game Fowl, Bantha, Porg, Krayt Dragon, Manka Cat, Rice, Agamarian Soybean, Geldan Sun-Apple, Sun Apple, Corn, Milkened Tuber, Mandalorian Orange, Alazhi, Kavam
  • Population: Sparse
  • Demographics: Humans, Wookiees, Chiss, Twi'leks, Psy-Pires, Soldier Biots
  • Primary Languages: Galactic Basic
  • Culture: Refugees typically bring with them the culture of their worlds, and due to the effects of the Nexus, people are able to better empathize be with each other better than they otherwise might have, leading to stable social harmony. People still own weapons to defend themselves, and fencing and marksmanship is subtly encouraged as a sport by Bacta-Works
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

First settled in the Deep Core Region by The Bloodscrawl Medical Corporation at the height of their power before the Gulag Era, the planet was originally discovered by Cidd Cinndurr, who's heretical experiments with the Light Side of the Force were said to have had such a profound effect on the entirety of the planet it's said that the nigh-oppressive Cinndurr's Nexus formed around it. As the severity of the Plague struck even to the Core World's Kytrand simply became too much to take care of so the Bloodscrawl Family destroyed all records of the planet. Nathan never visited Kytrand in his prime or wanted anything related to it, but the crisis with the Sith and Mandalorians have forced his hand. Deeply wary of the planet's properties, Nathan doesn't set foot on it unless he has no other option, and always does so in secret.

Most species on Kytrand were imported, though a few species native to the world all serve as sources of revenue for it's economy. It was the Bloodscrawl Family that managed to make use of Kytrand the most, setting up the storage towers and automated Bacta Production factories dotting all the surface. Their equipment still works, to the extant that recent refugees working for the company were resettled here on NDA's, picking up where the old workers and miners left off. Due to low population, profits get shared easily and accumulate to large amounts of quickly...facts that do not make new settlers eager to disclose where they live.

Bacta-Works is the face, Clan Li-Ves is the silent muscle, and most unrecruited civilians assume Clan Li-Ves members simply work for the company. The official representative of the governing body is Bacta-Works CEO Sera Mina Sera Mina , who tries very hard to keep the peace between refugees via dozens of proxy agents. Nathan allows Clan Li-Ves unrestricted access to the planet as a peace gesture, and it's here where he has chosen to formalize his alliance with some of the very people most responsible for tipping his life into the hellish nightmare it currently is...not that he isn't taking it all in stride of course...

The culture is best described as a low level primitive community democracy with no formalized government beyond Company mandates against violence and lawless behavior, and law breakers are actively, and vigorously pursued. Kytrand is where Nathan can talk to his allies the easiest, even though he did not really want anything to do with the planet.

Nathan has always had the coordinates, but he refused to use them as he secretly feels he is unworthy of going there and making use of it, but has no choice.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: to make a new species
d8l67dr-4304a4cf-6862-46dc-b0bb-4a1c6581752f.jpg

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Bio Bacta Tree
  • Origins: Kytrand
  • Other Locations: Can be found only in Kytrand
  • Classification: Tree
  • Average Growth Cycle: It takes seven months to reach full maturity after which it has a seven year life cycle. Growth begins relatively rapidly after a few weeks. At the end of its life cycle, it spontaneously catches fire and burns to ash, germinating the seeds stored within it in the process and readying them for the next planting.
  • Viability: It needs large amounts of water and sunlight, and must be planted in soil infused with the same Bacterias Alazhi and Kevam found in Bacta. The wood takes on a pale blue-white color pattern, the resin is permanently stained dark blue and the tree contains natural storage nodules from which both tree resin and bio Bacta can be harvested from it. It's leaves become blue and phosphorescent. When it reaches maturity, it began to produce these substances naturally.
  • Description: Tall with glowing blue leave and wood
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Average Height: 7 meters
  • Average Length: Branches tend to average 20-25 meters
  • Color: Blue and glowing predominantly
  • Nutritional Value: It's nutritional value is that it naturally produces Bio Bacta due to a symbiotic relationship with the bacterias Alazhi and Kavam used in Bacta, which makes it produce an Ambori-type substance in response to provide a better medium for the Bacteria to thrive in. The primary Bacteria consumes other, lesser bacterias and diseases that are harmful to the tree
  • Toxicity: The Bio Bacta it produces is not toxic, and as a result, The resin it produces in it's natural reservoirs can be highly toxic but can be used in various industrial and private applications, such as jewelry. The wood is saturated with this resin
  • Other Effects: Besides it's Bio Bacta, the wood is highly flammable due to the resin, and at the end of its life cycle, the resin increases in volatility to the point it's capable of catching fire in open Air...which it inevitably does
  • Distinctions: Trees that grow naturally on Kytrand produce the largest amounts of resin and Bio Bacta, and glow the brightest, having the most concentrated shade of blue
Strengths:
  • Economy Orchards: These amazing trees grow up taking in the natural bacterias in Bacta and using them to consume other, lesser bacterias and viruses, producing an enzyme chemically identical to Amphori. These trees as a result produce naturally occurring Bacta at regular, weekly intervals, leading to almost constant harvests as the reservoirs that occur naturally in these trees will start to overflow, whether they have Bacta or resin in them.
  • Multipurpose: The Bacta is the primary harvest, but so is the resin, which has many industrial and private usea
Weaknesses:
  • Limited plantings: Due to the volatile nature of the plants, it results in less plants per orchard
  • Difficult maturation cycle: Will need constant sunlight and water after it is planted and while it is growing up. It's needs lessen considerably after reaching maturity
  • Significant landscaping necessary: The Orchards must have open Air and be far from an inhabited center, along with having the necessary bacteria purposefully infused into the soil.
  • Flammable: The resin the wood has renders it highly flammable if fire comes into contact. It only gets more flammable with age, to the point open Air can cause it to catch fire. This only happens when it reaches the end of its life cycle, and it means harvests must be done very carefully
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Trees manipulated at the genetic level by The Bloodscrawl Medical Corporation, they are used as a means of increasing the Corporation's value to desperate allied Governments in constant need of medicine. Nathan retrieved the process from an old BMC research facility. Bacta-Works stock jumped up massively in value, as having Bacta not depending on Thyferra is a massive advantage for any of the nations Bacta-Works serves

A powerful bubble energy shield surrounds both sections of the campus. Stun blaster turrets at every corner, room and checkpoint. The halls are patrolled by Soldier Biots , 100 in total, all disguised by matching jumpsuits and full masks to hide their nature

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Natalya Nytesmyth Academy of Medicine, named after a Jensaarai forgotten by even her own order, is an institution privately owned and operated by Bacta-Works of Epica, open to any who pass it's stiff, demanding entry exam and pays a flat but hefty one time fee up front (Bacta-Works does not have typical student debt programs. They either have the money up front or they are not getting accepted no matter how good their score on the exam was). A truly punishing, demanding curriculum ensues for the student once accepted, though all costs are covered by the company from that point on, with classes covering nearly any subject of medicine one could imagine. Mandatory Psychological Conditioning classes are part of the course, designed to eliminate a Student from panicking or acting irrationally. The student is gradually, subtly mentally conditioned to suppress fear and anxiety and to think logically at all times. Other classes involve developing photographic memory in all students. More pervasive than that is the main focus of the conditioning: Making the Student a consumate multidisciplinary professional on par with the very best of Droid Doctors. Who refuses to provide anything less than the best of care to any patient they are assigned to.

A tenth of the Faculty is known to consist of former Stormsurgeons and Imperial Medics from now defunct Imperial Factions, repurposing their strict discipline and infamous tenacity for the very best and most promising students. These tend to be among the most demanding teachers, but they also tend to produce some of the most successful students, and personally play a hand in the psychological conditioning programs, much of which is a massively watered down version of their own indoctrination in imperial Academies. In fact the Faculty almost exclusively hires former military personnel as both teachers and staff, most from the Trade League military. This subconsciously familiarizes Students to being around Military and Authority figures, and may subtly encourage them to enlist based on their interactions. The Academy is almost a military school. Almost. But falls just short of it enough to avoid accusations of taking advantage of students.

A strictly business based institution, BWE funds the Academy publicly, but expects results. Students get what they pay for, and nothing less than a 99 Score is accepted on all tests and exams. More than one failed exam can wash the student out. More than one failing student can get the teacher fired and replaced with a better one. Nytesmyth Academy is subsequently poised to become one of the most strict and demanding medical academies in the Outer Rim, it's infamously difficult classes causing many to think twice before applying. Those who graduate are among the finest in their field, with hours upon hours of real world experience as well as a fair bit of flash training to supplement.

Reflecting the growing power of Bacta-Works of Epica in League space, this Academy was built on the League's capital world of Susevfi, in it's capital city of Yumfla. It's beautiful design quickly made it a premier public Landmark, and the money it generates is funneled into providing relief for refugees, the poor, the sick, elderly, or disabled, funding local charities and establishing food programs. But at it's core it's still a very ruthless business with an unforgiving academic standard of excellence.

Nytesmyth Academy employs no standard Student Loan Program, instead instituting the cutthroat transaction practices of its primary source of finance: Money Up Front. Put up or shut up. This comes in the form of a flat, one-time (but still steep) entry fee, after which the Academy does it's absolute best to make certain you get your money's worth. All applicants are informed of the psychological reconditioning, it's aim, and it's intended effects up front upon requesting an application, and must sign a waiver saying they fully understand and will accept the Mental Conditioning Program and all it's effects upon them. The Trade League Government was made aware of the conditioning program as well, allowing it as it fell greatly short of what would be considered the standards of Stormtrooper-Level Indoctrination

The courses of study and entry fee is regulated as follows:

NOTE:
Fee is waived if Graduate works for the League Military for One Tour of duty upon Graduation. Fee is fully refunded if Graduate serves two tours. Fee is refunded by double the Amount if serving three tours.
Fee is waived if Graduate agrees to work for BWE on passing the course

Nytesmyth Academy is not only a premier educational institution rivaling the best medical schools in the Core Worlds it is a symbol of Bacta-Works growing influence in the trade league itself as a major supplier of medicine and doctors. It might be a cutthroat way to run a school, but it produces results and the immediate influx of money to the area around it due to funding various charities only proves BWE's philosophy that "Money will Talk, Nonsense will Walk". Ultimately it is all part of Nathan's scheme to drive up recruitment in the Trade League military by any means necessary short of breaking the law. Though even he admits the Academy bends the law in some ways.

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Natalya Nytesmyth Academy for Alliance Shock Troopers
  • Classification: An Academy for producing professional, highly indoctrinated shock trooper units loyal to the Galactic Alliance
  • Location: Kytrand
  • Affiliation: Bacta-Works of Epica
  • Accessibility: Situated on a massive island complex accessible only by air or Monorail
  • Description: An Academy for producing only the finest, most dangerous Shock Troopers for use by the Alliance and aligned governments, Students undergo rapid indoctrination followed by heavy training on how to rapidly and efficiently assault heavily fortified positions, sniping, area denial, EOD and ship boarding, with an intensive one point five year training program for students based on their chosen specialty
POINTS OF INTEREST

Note: Not all troopers specialize in all things. Some do better in one area than others, but they ALL learn the Survival, Range, Demolitions, Engineering, Squad and Communication school to a level that would be considered "Trained" with recruits who demonstrate further aptitude or desire in a given area completing the higher levels of the basic schools or given the other schools as electives

Indoctrination Complex: This center focuses on producing the proper shock trooper mindset, an incorruptible Soldier who cannot be bribed, never thinks of treachery to the Alliance, and always wants to aggressively fight the enemies of the Alliance, and only questions orders for clarification or to spot possible tactical flaws. Recruits spend months in this section of the facility, producing fearless, focused recruits determined to complete their training and excel as a Stormtrooper, and how quickly the recruit takes to the indoctrination and flash training in this phase determines whether they wash out or not. Special focus is given throughout their entire training to conditioning them to never commit crimes against civilian populations and to arrest any commanding officer who tries to order them to.

Survival School: This part of the training course drives into the recruit the basis of Survival in multiple kinds of environment, from deserts to blizzards, Volcanic environments to jungles and urban environments. A Mandatory School, recruits spend up to two months learning the minimal basics of how survive in multiple environments, how to navigate using stars and suns and to use them to mark the passage of time. After which recruits are given the choice of what environment they want to specialize in surviving in, further training of which takes another three months. They are given no weapons other than a basic knife, a compass, and the specific equipment they need to survive a particular biome for more than a day, being forced to improvise. All recruits are closely monitored and shadowed by instructors. More than their ability to use the basics, their ability to react logically to each obstacle, tenacity, and creativity are assessed.

Range School: Stormtroopers train with Assault Rifles, Pistols, Sniper Rifles, and other kinds of projectiles to produce a consummate marksman, reinforced by constant flash training, and are made to fight both each other and dangerous BX Commando Droids with simulated versions of field weapons in simulated environments and actual field environments as training progresses. Recruits learn how to range their weapons, the ins and outs of how they function under pressure and how to clean and repair them in the field Instructors emphasize the use of rifles such as :

Rifles

GWE-002 (All Stormtroopers are taught this weapon in The Academy)
KN-E Rifle (Stormtroopers Taking a Heavy Weapons Specialization Train in this rifle)
Mercury Class Energy Rifle (For Those Training as Designated Marksmen)

Carbines:

E-17 Carbine (All Troopers Train in this Weapon)
Fuel Gun Plasma Carbine (Used by Designated Marksmen, Scouts and Snipers)
GLX Fire Lance (For those taking the path of the Commando)

Sniper Rifles

Wraith Particle Rifle (Anti Material Snipers)
DC-15A (Snipers, Commandos)

Heavy Weapons:

Starmace
Hellpyre

Pistols:

Shock Pistol (All Troopers Train to use this Weapon)
Mercury Class Energy Pistol (Used By Designated Marksmen, Commandos, Scouts and Snipers
Z-14 Auto Blaster (Used by Commandos)

Squad School:

Recruits learn to work together in an intensive month long course reinforced by heavy flash training, and builds on the Previous Schools

Demolitions School: Recruits are given the basics of how to create, arm, and disable many forms of explosives and traps, as well as how to place them in areas for Area Denial, and blast open doors and barriers. The basics include only grenades and simple det packs

Communications School: The Stormtrooper Recruits are given the basis of how to operate and intercept communications, how to repair communication devices, and how to create them, as well as how to utilize different methods of communication over large distances, basic sign language

Engineering School

Undersea School: Recruits are taught how to survive in water and carry out many forms of operations in it in the waters surrounding the academy, which happen to be perfect for many conditions Troopers can encounter in unfriendly waters. Considered one of the most dangerous schools and thus an elective only course

Commando/Scout School: Recruits are taught to work together in urban and extreme temperature environments or enclosed spaces to take down particular subjects, destroy particular targets, and conduct long term observation and recon sniping. Elective only course

Vehicle School

TKV 97 Tank
HA-3 Assault Craft

Flight School

Recruits expressing an interest in piloting after being taught how to pilot a gunship are chosen for starfighter training. Grueling endurance tests, and EVA training are as heavily emphasized as learning the ins and outs of starfighter combat

Fighters trained in

Aurek-Class Tactical Strike Fighter (Training Craft)

  • Affiliation: Bacta-Works of Epica
  • Accessibility: On the upper levels of Coruscant, not far from the Senate Building, Private Access only and under heavy guard
  • Description: An Aurodium plated mansion under maximum guard with hidden military grade defenses. In reality it is a secret refuge for when Nathan must conduct clandestine affairs outside the Order's full surveillance or store relics he collects
POINTS OF INTEREST

Meditation Chamber

Daviksthroneroom.jpg

An Isolated Meditation chamber that rests below the bottom of the estate, with a single stone seat to sit while meditating. Also leads to private sleeping quarters that contains his Ceremonial Stealth Robes , Refresher, and private kitchen. Connected by a single Turbolift from the ground floor. Also connects to an underground escape route. The device above the seat on the raised pedestal contains Shadowcloak Machinery for when he must conduct interviews or interrogations of others while remaining anonymous. The Pedestal itself as hidden ray shield projectors and doubles as a Turbolift to the escape route, which also has the hidden route by which he arrives in the first place.

Healing Crystal Room

A section Adjacent to the Meditation chamber, this is used to treat wounds in others too severe for traditional medicine. It contains two samples of the Synthetic Healing Crystals of Fire, and though Nathan would never, ever use them to heal himself, solely because he despises the one who helped him create them, he has no qualms about using them to heal others.

Private Med Center:

Containing four state of the art surgical theaters and active Medical Droids to treat someone away from prying eyes.

The mansion has an insane number of defenses for a civilian location, that put it just barely under the level of an actual Military Base. Internal scanners, Laser tripwires, stun blaster turrets and knock out gas dispensers, whose gas works on skin contact are all present at the lower level. At all levels save for the level containing the meditation chamber and it's adjacent facilities, Estate Guardians are on Patrol, operated by a Central Control Computer installed in the Meditation Chamber Section. Other Guards include numerous Phase 1 Darktroopers

Energized Vibroblade

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

A safehouse Mansion purchased at the advice/desire of his Fiance, the Murderous Android Vera Mina, This Estate allows Nathan a place to conduct his business anonymously, storing up a few items for rainy day supplies, as well as having a spot on Coruscant where Vera can interact with him...at least when he's in town.

Though the deed is registered to Bacta-Works under the auspices of "entertaining wealthy clients" the truth is hardly anyone is ever allowed entry and those who are allowed entry find an elegant but barren layout that suggests it's not truly a home but more of a showpiece. Nathan arrives by way of a hidden route underneath the building whenever he has need of it, and beyond conducting meetings, or interrogations, or treating people in an emergency without alerting the authorities (Or even just spending time with Vera away from prying eyes), he rarely uses it.

Two samples of the powerful Synthetic Healing Crystals of Fire reside here, and while that in of itself would be a dead Give-away that whoever owns it is more than they claim, it's not exactly illegal to own a Light Side Force Relic that isn't made by the Sith.

jedi_remnant_by_the_first_magelord_d23es2v-fullview.jpg

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Tradition Name: Academics of Flesh
  • Tradition Type: Formal Research Group/Cult
  • Tradition Focus: Loosely Light Side group focused on exploring the absolute limits of Alkahest , producing deadly, sapient creations to hunt and kill Dark Jedi. These creations can be standardized, but are prohibitively expensive pursuits for the Cult, leading to extensive prices for creating living masterpieces that hunt Sith
  • Influence: Minor
  • Orientation: Light Leaning. It welcomes a lot of eccentrics as well as the genuinely mentally ill, so long as their talent for Alkahest cannot be questioned
  • Influence Area: They were once hidden on Susevfi in a magically concealed Enclave, but have since transferred their assets to Kytrand
  • Symbol: See above
  • Description: Operating for centuries in covert and sometimes very, very overt defiance of the Jedi Order's strongest structures against altering life or creating life with the Force, The Academics for years fashioned biological horrors with Alkahest, allying with whoever was willing to take the fight to Dark Side users without playing by the Jedi's rules of engagement. Their creations are often made to resemble perfectly normal people, and are used as sleeper agents in Jedi Enclaves and Temples due to their light side auras not bringing up suspicion, as well as being inherently able to mask their true thought and intent, only to act on the commands of their true masters when missives are received. It is worth noting that the Academics have never harmed even a Padawan or an innocent civilian, and have never opposed the aims of the governments Jedi have aligned with. But their almost totally unregulated approach to their creations and extremist practices in their subsequent employment against Dark Side followers, along with their fast and loose approach to the instruction of their students means that the Jedi Order for years has attempted to permanently shut down the Organization and arrest all of its members without exception, only to be thwarted by their infiltrators informing them of raids. Their greatest period of activity was during the Gulag Era, where their creations, inherently unnatural and horrific, were ironically often the only thing preventing total chaos from breaking out on a world. It was also in this period their structure and methods of study became more focused and standardized, which only served to make them even more dangerous in some ways. They preserved many teachings and secrets of Alkahest that would otherwise have been lost and taken possibly centuries to recreate. In the modern era they are again resuming their favorite pastime with a vengeance thanks to black ops financial support from Nathan Bloodscrawl.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Membership: Anyone can join so long as they have demonstrable knowledge of Alkahest, clear proof of how lethal a given creation can be to Dark Side Users, and the ability to create said lethal creation in front of them. This alone has successfully prevented them from being infiltrated by their enemies: Sith because such an intense use of Alkahest would likely shatter their connection to the Dark Side, and Jedi because such an intense use of Alkahest would be seen as an abuse no true Jedi could commit and still be called one. The only one who truly controls them is their headmaster.
  • Motives: The Academics of Flesh are driven to push the limits of Alkahest, regardless of the viewpoints of other Light Siders, and are especially driven to deploy their creations against Dark Adepts and all who would follow and serve them, due to an ancient feud
  • Rules and Teachings: Due to their single binding principal of studying and employing Alkahest, combined with influence from Dathomir and Jedha Cults, as well as influence from former/disgraced Jedi (One of Whom is their headmaster) Members have some of the most aggressive mindsets of any Light Side Cult, and have only a few actual rules:
1: Never Harm a Civilian
2: Never Harm another Light Sider, even if they attack you.
3: Never use what you create for greed, but to fight the Dark Side
4: To create in of itself is to strengthen the cause of Good against Evil

The Academics scoff at the approach of Jedi, past and present, feeling their approach has exacerbated the deteriorating condition of the Galaxy, and weakened the Light in it's struggle. They help other fringe groups of Light Siders evade Jedi scrutiny, providing shelter and even research materials for their own clandestine activities with the Light Side

  • Reputation: Seen as dangerous, heretical, and mad by the vast majority of mainstream Jedi, their creations are nonetheless acknowledged as excessively dangerous works of living art. Though it has been almost two centuries since they last made a splash, their unexpected return to the fray has given many older Jedi cause for extreme alarm, as the prohibition against their extremist practices have never been lifted. The very idea an Academic could be in the area was once a source of paranoia for Jedi in the Gulag Era
  • Openness: Highly secretive, members go out of their way to avoid visual cues that give the idea they are Force Users, preceding civilian clothes or basic, cheap armors that could come from anywhere when in public. Also when in public, they never carry weapons normally
SKILLS INFORMATION
  • Characteristic Equipment: The Academics are a hodgepodge of different eccentrics, thus some may be heavily armed (In the sense they have multiple weapons or even armed with a single Lightsaber if they were former Jedi). They tend to use whatever they had when they joined. In the rare instances they have chosen to make themselves an active threat on the battlefield, members tend to wear gear similar to that of the ancient rank of Jedi Sniper, albeit their fighting method is often completely different, and said gear comes in a variety of colors when recovered
  • Notable Force Skills: Highly skilled at both making their bodies and presences in the Force invisible , and gave a basic skill in Force Jump and Force Speed, but an often GRANDMASTER understanding of Alkahest, and can employ it in shocking ways. They can also heal their bodies to a limited degree
  • Notable Force Limitations: As they progress in their obsession with Alkahest they start to lose command of telekinetic powers, and have great trouble using non light side Force Abilities

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Formed after a Jedi Master went rogue and used her skill at Alkahest to create powerful light side abominations to slay a Sith Cult that had murdered her son, she fled the Order's custody after growing disillusioned, perceiving the Order as having treated her worse than they treated the ones who killed her son. This led to an enmity with most of the Jedi Order that has lasted to this day, the Organization she formed taking in disaffected Light Side Users and letting them explore the limits of Force Imbuement or Alkahest, waging war as they see fit on the Dark Side, willing to subvert the Order's authority. Though they have never made war on the Jedi Order or attacked the innocent, their extreme positions and warping the Light Side in the process of creating their stuff, The Order has always tried to arrest their members when found, only to be thwarted by the Academics staying one step ahead of them, adopting covert approaches to continue their work and remain free. Having been silent since The Gulag Era, Nathan ran afoul of them during his original career as a Jedi, not exactly sympathizing with their take but willing to make deals with them on occasion. In his obsession to destroy The Cult of The Brain Demon, Nathan sought them out, offering them a place in the forces he his building up on the Planet Kytrand. The Academics accepted due to their founder recognizing Nathan and working with him in the past, albeit uneasily. Flush with Credits in a way they have never been before, the Academics can now afford a staggering array of research materials to craft their greatest works yet.
