The Mercury-Class Energy Rifle is the next product in the line of Mercury, developed by the Merchant Alliance of Spindle VI to bring back the ancient pulse-wave technology used in eras past into the galactic fold and make it much more common among the galaxy's various factions that currently hold dominion over large pieces of the galaxy. The Rifle came into existence during the testing phases of the energy pistol and wanted to make up for the weaknesses of that line with a brand new product that would have the force necessary to stand up to modern blasters. The first production of these rifles would be within the hands of the Spindle VI Security Forces and would later be shipped across the galaxy through various sub-companies and bounty hunter organizations. The noticerity of the pistol, would have made people want to buy the rifle to complement the pistol that they had purchased. Eventually some of these models came into the hands of crime organizations on various worlds across the galaxy and would only make the deadly reputation of the rifle come into play and thus make people want to buy it even more. However the rifle does have benefits over the rifle, such has being effective at close range and long range, while the pistol was only effective at close range. The rifle also has a higher overall damage count than the pistol because it can pack a more powerful punch overall and makes it extremely useful in dealing with armored opponents. The energy rifle also comes equipped with the same dallorian alloy plating to make it able to sand up to the immense amount of heat being generated by the pulse-wave technology within. It also comes equipped with various attachments that can make the rifle even more deadly such has having overall precision, damage and power. The last benefit of the rifle over the pistol is that it has a higher ammunition capacity thus allowing it to be used multiple times without having to worry about reloading in the middle of a battle. However, there are still several weaknesses that the energy rifle has, such has having a overall lower rate of fire compared to the pistol because of the heavy size and power with each shot being taken. The attachments of the energy rifle do take time to install, so it is best advised to change them before hand so you aren't changing them in the middle of battle. Much like the pistol, the energy rifle wasn't designed for crowd control or for law enforcement because it is very lethal being a military weapon and bounty hunter profession type of weapon. It is also heavier in weight than the pistol due to being a rifle, so that should also be considered before using.
