“And at that, I say we rejoice!” - Chancellor Emmen Tagge

JUaDCut.png

The pearl of the Ringali Shell: The agri world of Chandrila. A bastion of democracy for generations. After much struggle, they lost some of their historic open forum for dialogue and debate when the Imperials of yore occupied the planet, predating the rebirth of Starbird.

With the Core rapidly being cleansed and restructured, and the Core Imperial Confederation upper echelons of the government defunct, many saw little alternative to becoming warlords in order to maintain their established power. If they could not maintain dominance throughout the entirety of the core, they would cling to the last of their territory.

One Warlord took Chandrila as his keep, implementing Imperial policies and laws through conquest; forcing the planet to move away from its values. Until recent weeks, the people had only murmured in silence, fearing repercussions for trying to undermine the imperial influence. Always a planet that allowed it’s people to maintain, and exercise, their right to protest, the pro-democracy voices have grown in recent weeks. Echoing across Chandrila’s hemispheres with the Galactic Alliance growing presence in bringing more systems to its democracy, a democracy they have long yearned for and have assembled to protest for change in their system. The murmurs grew too loud for the Moff to ignore, and forced to concede to the influence of the masses, he opened a forum for an election. After much debate, in the end, democracy triumphed and the Moff was stripped of his power and titles.

Just in time for the dawn of a fresh harvest.

Objective 1: Local Motives

On schedule, a hovertrain is inbound to the city with much anticipated supplies to aid the agricultural world with a strong start to the new season. The late Moff, in a final swan song of his dominance, has commissioned his remaining resources to prevent the incoming delivery of fertilizer for the upcoming harvest. If this train doesn’t make it, the whole season could be derailed.

An Alliance’s escort squadron has been dispatched to provide protection for the incoming transport and ensure it’s safe arrival to the spaceport in Nayli. On the train itself, protection is lead by Lt. Din Marren Din Marren and aerial support by Twin Suns Commander Olen Halcorr Olen Halcorr .

Objective 2: Silver Harvest Moons

There is much to celebrate! As is custom, at the dawn of a new Harvest, the agri-world gathers together for a multi-day revelry. Hanna City’s streets have been converted into tented markets, where farmers exhibit their goods, fortune tellers invite citizens in to get a reading to suggest how to optimize their plows, crystals from the caves are for retail as jewellery and other trinkets.

And since it’s a farm party, there’s a lot of grass to be shared.

Tonight's celebrations are the apex of the jubilation; The Silver Harvest Moons. When the shores of the silver seas coalesce with the overlapping two moons for hours on end -- bathing the whole night and several fields in their pearlescent glow. For the final evening, there’s a thematic
masquerade, Citizens work on their celebratory costumes for months.

Part of the crows are remnants of the 327th legion, a collection of clones created by the CIC bred to support Imperialism without having the chance to develop their own proper intuition while being trained. They don’t seem quite so taken with mirth as the overjoyed citizens who have a new season to look forward to without the iron fist of a Moff.

Objective 3: Whispers of the Warden

Years of history are embedded in the sediment of Chandrila’s crystal canyons. Beyond their beauty, these crystals can be used for weapons for the legendary weapon of the Jedi.

Within the canyon, long abandoned and under piles of rubble and collapsed rock, Padawan Auteme Auteme and Jedi Master Aldric pair up to lead an expedition of curious Jedi to the notable site of the tomb of the Third Barsen’thor.

For now, everything seemed fine. Olen nudged the stick forward slightly, his X-Wing following the command perfectly moving into lead. Around eight wings of Twin Suns Squadron had been assigned to this supposedly super important hovertrain. Escort duty was something the veteran starfighter pilot was used to but he was used to escorting ships full of operatives, not some.. grain. Would there even be any resistance? This was Chandrila after all, a planet known to be pretty peaceful, when it wasn't being invaded anyways.

He banked to his aft, coming down to the level of the hovertrain before pulling back the stick and coming back up. He hadn't even really felt the need to check his scope which was something that he did almost religiously. As a younger pilot, he'd been given the nickname "Scopes" for this very reason. Feeling somewhat bored, he took a glance, seeing nothing, as he'd suspected.

"This is some milk run, eh Two. I never thought Twin Suns Squadron would be assigned to transporting grass."

This comment was accompanied by a chuckle from Olen as he took a look out of the cockpit as the zoomed past the rolling hills and long grass, even spotting a few thatched houses in the distance. It was views like this that made him think that the security was just a little excessive. There were some Alliance soldiers on the train which to him was security enough.

He did understand the importance of the grain to the Chandrilan people, this was their livelihoods and the harvest season must have been very important to them. Perhaps after the patrol when he had some off-duty time, he'd head to the market and see what they had on offer, he was self-admittedly an excellent haggler.

"Keep it tight people, we need to see this safely, top priority apparently."

He lowered the throttle down to 60% to compensate for the yaw that seemed to be even more prevalent in the wind. Taking a look to the left and right of his transparisteel cockpit, nothing seemed amiss, the perfect milk run.

For sometime now , Dorian Sevanar had been involved in Chandrillan affairs attempting the convince the 327th Star Corps to join his efforts as Chandrilla would inevitably fall into the hands of the Alliance. Though the talks died out , Sevanar's predictions were true. Colonel Ivan Stadd of the Politorate had reported that the Alliance had arrived but not through a massive invasion but through small task forces. The power of the local Moff was dwindling and there was nothing Dorian could do lest he expose himself and his own Fiefdom on Carida to potential Alliance attack.

As the talks died out , Dorian's Fleet was quick to secure the nearby Nadiri Dockyards allowing their
Corporate Allies to secure the Dockyards and begin operating it as their own with a small force of 1 Intercessor Star Destroyer 2 Katana-Class Heavy Cruisers and 5 Constance-Class Patrol Ships monitoring the area to protect the shipyards. Unlike their other Shipyards located in the Deep Core the existence of the Nadiri Dockyards was well known and thus establishing a heavy presence would compromise their plans.

With the shipyards secured , Dorian Sevanar sent
Agent 66 to Chandrilla alone to seek the 327th Star Corps and try to convince them to join him. With his Ship the Enforcer awaiting the agent in the nearby planet in Sissubo cloaked and hidden well in the debris field surrounding the planet. If the 327th Star Corps joined him it would only increase Dorian's arsenal and put the Grand Plan of Dorian's Associates one step further towards it's ultimate objective.

Soon enough Agent 66s K-Wing landed outside Hanna City and the mysterious operative headed for Hanna City having taken off his armor and disguised himself for the masquerade with a costume and mask provided to him by Dorian Sevanar. Meanwhile Dorian's agents (All whom are disguised with the populace) were on standby in Hanna City having been present in the area since Dorian's last visit to Chandrilla. They were there to observe the situation and provide Dorian information on the current situation on Chandrilla.

The dog-eared cigarra flared a bright orange as the detective coaxed it back to life. Idly toying with the battered, silver plated lighter for a few seconds more as she continued to watch the dive bar across the street. Marking the entrances and possible exits. The way the rotund bouncer seemed to enjoy swinging his weight around. The ebb and flow of the foot traffic that seemed to bend around the establishment as they passed, almost as if they could instinctively sense the seediness that lay within. She took another drag on the cigarra. Than another after that. The thin trail of blue-white smoke winding haphazardly up against the faded duracrete of the alleyway. Not for the first time wondering how she'd gotten into this mess of a case.

Of course, like some bad pulp holonovel, it had started with a woman.

A dame with a set of getaway sticks that stretched on for miles. The kind that left little to the imagination and yet perhaps a little too much when framed by the humble setting of a P.I.’s office. Too refined and put together to belong to the local riff-raff that shuffled their way through those doors. It was never a good sign when folks had the kind of money it took to look respectable down in the lower levels of Coruscant. If she had been smart about it, Seniya would have passed on the case then and there, but as always, the need to keep the lights running had outweighed her caution.

Missing Persons. Some slob from one of the woman's
R&D labs had failed to check in for a few days. Smart guy by all accounts, boasting a plethora PhDs under his belt in fields that Seniya wasn't even going to pretend she'd heard of, let alone understood. Something about an artificial bacta crossbreed? It was all Mando'a to her. Still the guy seemed to be on the up and up. Worked thankless hours, rented a small crappy one bedroom apartment to shower between shifts, and apparently kept his nose clean. No vices, mistresses or suspicious charges. She would have called him a pillar of the community if only he'd been in one - None of his neighbors seemed to even recognize the man, let alone give her a tangible solid lead.

The woman had been insistent, however. Insistant with a capital... Well, Capital.

Fast forward a few weeks, the promise of that payday had seen her dragged from one end of Alliance territory to the next. Racking up the daily expenses and a headache along the way, chasing down one dead end lead after the next, only coming up empty handed at every turn. That was, until she stumbled on the trail of the infamous Bando Gora. Again, if Seniya had been smart, she would’ve been back home by now, eating some lousy Trandoshan-Atrisian fusion out of a cheap cardboard container and wondering when Dagon Perl was finally going to earn his keep.

Sadly, while Seniya Nehir could be accused of many things, being smart clearly wasn't one.

"Feth it," She muttered, pinching the cigarra off between a calloused finger and thumb and stubbing it cruelly against the wall. There was no use in wool-gathering any further. If she wanted answers, there was really only one way she was going to find them - and it wasn't skulking in an alleyway. "Bet your ass I'm billing extra for this."

With those possibly famous last words, the Shadow slipped from the alleyway and began to wind through the market crowds, making a slow and gradual beeline for the bar's front door.

A whisper. A quiet touch on the ground as a figure walked across the plains of Chandrila. Softly, slowly the figure knelt down and touched the ground. They scooped up the dirt and grass as if feeling them for the first time. They rolled the scraps of dirt and blades of grass along with their fingertips and appreciated them both at that moment. The gentle cool-to-the-touch breeze went through their robes and just as they had knelt down, the figure soon rose to their and looked outward toward the crystal canyon as if it had been calling to them.
They walked with confidence and reassurance that had not come easily. Their back faced whoever may have been following them, and the figure continued onward. When approached the figure seemed to disappear altogether, and then reappear further ahead. To feel the air rush along their skin was cause enough for the figure to smile. As if - this was the first time they had been able to see the sunlight and feel the wind in such a long time. To see the colors of the world around them with their own eyes, a journey complete - perhaps.
Whoever the figure was they continued on their trek with an aim for the crystal canyons of Chandrila.

Trevin patrolled the train, as was his duty, and he kept his eyes peeled for anything suspicious. Always alert, everything is trouble, it could blow up at any second! That was the attitude going into this at the very least. He did not complain that he was protecting food for the planet. Would he rather be out doing something more.... important? Well, sure, but this was his directive and he was going to do as he was told and do it to the best of his abilities.

So far, the move the the Rangers had not been exactly exhilarating. To be honest, neither had his time in the Army, but he chalked it up to politicians wanting to play nice instead of getting their hands dirty. Empires had risen and fallen rapidly throughout the years and no one wanted to be remembered as the person who actively saw the downfall of the Galactic Alliance. Blast, he hated politicians.

He adjusted the strap on his Sabrewasp Carbine and kept his finger near the trigger. Not on it.... if someone higher up spotted him with his finger resting on the trigger while patrolling what was essentially a civilian train he would never hear the end of it. He leaned over and looked up to see a few of the air support fly in close. He felt more comfortable knowing they were patrolling up there. Something about having eyes in the sky made him feel a lot better. There was no worse feeling than seeing incoming enemy ships when you had no coverage up above.

"Sector 3 clear." He spoke into his comm and then turned to walk back to his fire team. It was odd having his own fire team but he quite liked it. They were still getting to know him a bit but they were all dedicated and trained soldiers. His goal was to make sure they saw to the end of their enlistment.

The blue, black and white colored T-85 X-wing soared just above and to the left of the hovertrains middle section. The golden fields stretched out for acres and acres below the vital transport of grains and the remarkable escort that it had.

Chandrila. The homeplanet of the late and legendary Alliance leader and former senator Mon Mothma. Kathryn could remind herself that she had been here before, and as usual had did her homework on the planet along with the briefing from Galactic Alliance command. After the comeback to the GA and the mission to Metellos, she had been invited into Twin Suns Squadron and offered the role as its XO, a position was honored by but also felt more than ready for.

The intercom crackled as Halcorr's voice opened up the channel. The statement got her to chuckle into a smile, the oxygen mask hanging to the side in one of its straps to the helmet. She glanced out of the glass canopy and over to Halcorr on the other side of the train.

''Yeah, I see what you mean, sir... But this shipment is probably as important to this people as any other military convoy is to us.''

Halcorr, what was he? Twenty-five? Twenty-six circles old? Not regarding his position as an able squad leader, because he seemed to be, despite his relatively young age. But her statement about the importance of them being there might have made her sound... older than she was, but it was realy a manifestation of that wisdom admiral Hayes had spoken of a couple of weeks ago.

Aldric | Objective 3

"These formations are amazing," she said. Obviously, she was admiring the enormous crystals of Chandrila's Crystal Canyons. Which was an odd name, considering there was really only the one canyon. Even so it was one incredible canyon. The canyon was so deep she couldn't see the sun from where they stood, nor the bottom of the canyon. The ruined yet grand walkways built by people long past were carved into the crystal walls. Rubble was scattered on the path ahead. The entrance to the canyon path had been cleared, but there were still parts ahead that were blocked or damaged. Still, the padawan was confident they could navigate it.

Auteme traced her hand along the enormous crystal on one side of the canyon. It was smooth and cool to the touch, so polished that she could see her own reflection. The thrum of energy that they held within was comforting, yet she knew of the power they had was more than she could ever achieve. The sheer size of the crystals were simply another reminder that she was small and, in many ways, insignificant to the galaxy. These crystals had grown for millions of years and would continue long after her time had passed. It was comforting that some things would likely never change. There was permanence and impermanence. As much as she wished for one thing, she knew in her heart that it would forever stay out of reach.

Still, so long as she believed what she was doing was important, it would be. Exploring an ancient tomb was fascinating and certainly worth her time. Ancient knowledge, ancient history -- Auteme couldn't wait to keep learning and keep exploring. She was sure the rest of the group was just as excited. The small team of archaeologists and Jedi was sure to uncover something worth studying here. Even so, the background research she'd done on the place was just as interesting to her.

"It's interesting that the Barsen'thor's name was lost to history. He had such a grand tomb dedicated to him, and was an important historical figure, yet no one knows his name. Still, I think through his actions he became the true Warden of the Jedi. Barsen'thor is Cerean for Warden of the Jedi, by the way. The etymology of that language is a little odd but still fascinating," she rambled. Aldric would nerd out with her, right? He didn't seem like the fighting type.

Much like Dorian Sevanar's Agent Jasol had come to Chandrilla to seek out some of the 327th. The difference was he did not seek the entire corps but instead for a few advisors to join his defence force. It was part of his initiative to modernise the force and so far his marines had received stormtrooper training from their former-Imperial members but the clones were in interesting prospect. They had been trained from birth to fight making them a highly effective force, Jasol seeked to transfer some of their skills to his own defence force.

He was flanked by two Sanjini Marines he walked amongst the market place, ignoring the many vendors who attempted to sell the governor admirals their fruit but his troopers simply pushed them out of the way with little regard for who they were. Upon reaching a group of clone troopers standing by and watching the festivities Dorsian introduced himself. "I'm Admiral Dorsian. Governor of Sanjin. I have an interesting proposition for a few clones." One of the troopers looked at him. "What sort of proposition sir- uh I mean Admiral." one of the troopers responded back. "Temporary employment which could lead to full employment and a home on my planet. I understand you troopers like to stick together so my initial offer will only be temporary." the troopers looked at eachother and shrugged. "Sounds like you'll have to take this up with someone a bit higher ranking but consider me interested." Another trooper replied. Dorsian nodded and began to make his way once more into the market attempting to find a trooper who looked to be in charge in some way.

I will have to admit it; it is rather impressive for one to win a battle without having to use a blaster pistol. The power of democracy, I suppose. Something that'll weaken the structures around these parts. What people need is order and discipline, and these so-called citizens have only just gone backwards to their regressive, anarchy roots. How hard can it be to follow a chain of command and obey orders? Orders are what keeps one alive.

But the Moff also had some fault into it. He conquered this planet and through right of conquest is able to do anything he wants. He could have silenced these protests before they grew and grew. We were waiting for orders, waiting for the sign to let us loose on these anarchists. Hell I was so tempted to pull the trigger and swallow whatever consequences there was for me. But having that kind of mindset is traitorous and insubordinate, much like these folks.

I don't know what's going to happen to me or to my brothers. These folks, from the news of the Holonet, are against the idea of cloning and creating clones to use for an army. That was a slight towards me and my brethren. Thinking us as slaves when they don't know shit. We were designed and created for something much greater than us. Like we need someone to tell us what's good or bad for us. I just hope we don't go extinct. I'd like to see a regular conscript army being able to perform as much as we can.

Everything looked pathetic and mediocre for Dreist in the streets of Hanna City was converted into tents for vendors and local business owner to show off what kind of food or craft they had to the public. Why did should anyone care what these people had to offer? It wasn't going to benefit anyone in general. It was simply a means to waste time and not use it for other productive purposes. Never would he try to wear some sort of attempted handcrafted necklace by some meager person.

But others bought it, and they encouraged the thought of these festivities.

Dreist and his squad of brothers wore their usual attire of white armor with yellow marking and stripes, but each armor was decorated and designed uniquely. Unity, but each pursued for individuality to not be just someone sharing the same face as another. Glances and stares were shot at them by patrons browsing through the markets as the clones were aligned with the interests of the previous Moff. What else was there for them other than their duty and service they were proud of.

"Looks like some hawks are trying to snag one of us," Dreist mentioned to his sergeant as they saw a Jasol Dorsian approaching a group of clones of their beloved Corps.

"No one is deserting the Corps, Dreist. We don't turn our backs on each other, we're loyal to one another."

"Bunch of hypocrites, if you ask me. They're opposed of using clones for soldiers and now they come in and offer us a place in their ranks? Like hell I'll fight alongside someone that's not us, especially when we're better soldiers."

"Yeah, I know," was all the sergeant had to offer. "Let's focus on our task of policing around here."

"Yes, sir."

The Android never thought she would love piloting so much. Other copies had other occupations. But this copy had grown to love piloting.

Sure she had yet to really know any of the Twin Suns Squadron...she was still newly assigned. But it was still fun, flying in formation, even just guarding grass.

The Android piloted this super fighter directly above the hover car.

"Whoever this smug feth of a Moff was, he must've really hated these people. You know, I'm not worried so much about an attack from the air...we'll more than likely see that coming...I'm more worried about really small vehicles getting too close from the ground to do damage...Saw that chit go down on Atrisia, when that Sith Mythos invaded it. It was never the starfighters the convoys had to worry about. It was the guy with a belt of thermal detonators running up..." she remarked, having witnessed multiple horrors during that invasion.

She buzzed Olen Halcorr Olen Halcorr .

"Sir, I'm gonna scan the train. Can you ask the people aboard if they see anything out of place? Any people that were there earlier and should not have been?" she requested, initiating scans on the train and its path, looking for irregularities.

Nothing. Nothing irregular.

"Oh the pain. I'd almost prefer taking on 007 flocks of Tri-Fighters. I hate it when the enemy does not attack. It means they have something up their sleeve. Heh...like I'm one to talk..." she joked, tension spreading throughout her mind.

The sound of grass echoed under her leather boot, the town bustled to life after spending so long setting up for the festival. Rae had planned on coming to the festival for reasons unknown to her charge, but it seemed the woman wasn’t in the mood to allow the Legionnaire attendant to attend something alone. Having Jorryn in tow excited and worried, the undercover spy meant that her mind wouldn’t get the break she had sought. Yet, when Jorryn insisted she accompany her, Rae felt the stresses she was feeling almost evaporate. It was going to be a moment that she didn’t have to look over her shoulder, and no one here would know the Lord Inquisitor. Positions meant nothing on the streets of Hanna City tonight for the pair.

Walking down the streets of the revamped town, they took a step into the past. Clothing, less spacer like and simple, masks adorning everyone’s face and happiness surrounded them. Rae’s face lit up as she recognized some of the fanfare, she had attended this festival once or twice with her family - her father having a summer home nearby. It was left in her name,
her other name, but she planned on visiting it if the Inquisitor chose to do so. When that time came, there was a white lie prepared to pass off the ownership.

The umbrella the woman had become known for remained at her side while the pair walked the streets. The evening was coming, and there was no need to protect the porcelain skin of the posh Echani anymore. Rae looked towards the woman from behind the mask and smiled, her Imperial accent non-existent as she tried to fit in, “Enjoying yourself, Nataia?” Rae smiled as she stopped and looked at one of the booths. Fried bread in the shape of fish was being served, each fish was stuffed with flavored ice cream. Rae contemplated buying one for herself and figured the woman beside her wanted one as well. “Hmm, I haven’t had one of these since I was a kid, they’re pretty good you want one?” Taking an opportunity, of course, to tease the undercover Inquisitor, she leaned closer and smirked. “Unless you want to share one?”

Laughing lightly, she waited for the woman’s answer. Tonight at least, would be beautiful. Hopefully, Allyson would get to see some of her friends. Something inside of her wanted them to meet Nataia.

<"Never thought I'd see the day the Alliance has us guarding corn,"> Din groans, unintentionally mirroring the words of his airbourne counterpart as he kicks one of the many supply crates in passing. By now, he and his two squaddies had already been patrolling the train carts for close to three hours. Three painstaking hours, with half that left to go.

Apparently Command had deemed the supplies essential, and with high value Alliance personnel on site in Hanna City, it made sense they'd get stuck with the job. Whether it was just to make him feel better or not, Din assumed the posting was nothing more than a cover in case something actually went wrong. An excuse to have them close by without alerting the locals to the heightened risk.

There's a modulated laugh in response from behind him before Pop finally retorts,
<"You saw the briefing, Dare. There's a damn high chance that Imp is gonna pull some tricks.">

Din can't help but sigh, <"We're dyin' alongside Imps in the Tingle Arm, but they're tryin' to kill us on Chandrila? Place is a damn mess.">

On top of a building ,
Agent 66 watched as Jason Dorsian met with a few clones and tried to convince them to join him. Though as expected , the members of the 327th Star Corps refused to serve the Governor-Admiral of Sanjin. Agent 66 was somewhat surprised at how the 327th refused to leave Chandrilla. He was wondered why in the face of the Galactic Alliance they chose to remain on Chandrilla especially with the Local Moff slowly losing his grasp over the planet.

Further observing the clones Agent 66 however realized something especially about Jasol Dorsain. Given at his approach towards the clones and the two Marines escorting him , Agent 66 figured he was perhaps an Imperial-Aligned ruler who could make a great addition to the Hidden Leader's list of potential allies. Deciding to seize his chance , Agent 66 jumped down into an empty ally and proceeded to head out to the main market area looking around for Jasol Dorsain eventually bumping into him as he searched for more clones to convince to join his ranks.

"Sorry for bumping into you. You must be Admiral Dorsain i presume. Governor of Sanjin correct? I am Salvian Lee. Pleasure to met with ya , what brings you here to Chandrilla." Agent 66 said as he greeted the Governor of Sanjin. The Agent hoped to keep a positive appearance. He hoped he could atleast have a little chat with Dorsain and establish a link between Dorsain and his superiors. Jasol Dorsain would be a useful asset in the near future for Dorian Sevanar as well as perhaps a first step in gaining support from members of the Alliance to allow the integration of the Dorian's Regime on Carida into the Alliance something that was cruicial to the Hidden Leader's Agenda.

Even behind the masks, the joy on people’s faces couldn’t be obscured. Some were evidenced with crinkles around their eyes, visible through the cutouts of their decor, others through mirthful expressions. Glasses clinked, and stories were shared. While she walked, she overheard more than a fair share of stories from the past of harvests that had been less successful, and oh what a year that had been and contrasting those fables with others that were more fortunate.

There was a glimmer of familiar happiness somewhere in the crowd, too. All of the Alliance personnel hadn’t travelled together, but she hadn’t heard Allyson mention she was going to be here. With a little more concentration on that link she realized she wasn’t. Allyson was not here, a convoluted version of her was. And that made..not a lot of sense of the girl who was so unabashedly wretched at understanding shadows.

“Your hair, my dear..like the fields of golden wheat.” The words crooned were too close to the girl’s ear to be avoided, and she paused her search.

Pleased to have caught attention, the drawl continued: “Is a symbol of good luck.” A woman whispered from behind the folds of a tent, stepping out from her concealed position to peer at the Jedi. “It should bring you fortune, would you like to test my theories?” With an inviting sweep of her arm, she gestured to the girl hoping to whet her curiosity’s appetite.

Loske, though, wasn’t sure she could handle knowing about her future; and what she’d be expected to do with any information a maestro of magics could deliver. Self consciously, she ran her fingers through her hair and glanced at the ends as they fell away from her grip. Instead of acquiescing, she offered what she considered a polite shake of her head and a smile: “Not really, if I don’t like what I hear I might have to shave my head. Thank you, though.”

The lady chuckled, and gave a dismissive gesture that made the Padawan comfortable enough to break from the conversation. As much as she enjoyed a party, she was here with another intent. After the senate’s deliberation on clone rights, she’d asked Frank to hot key any messages, encrypted or otherwise, with conversations about clones. Now that the senate was aware of such manufacturing, and by extension, her being a mutant as well, she wanted to keep abreast on any modifications to their choices. Reports had been compiled of the CIC’s influence in Chandrila, and their remnant clone squadron. While the warlord’s influence had been purged, the clones had been spared based on the premise of the senate’s conclusion, wherein they’d be interviewed and given the opportunity to make a decision

She figured they’d be easy to pick out from the swaths of costume adorned locals. And she was right. It was a little jarring to see so many that shared such perfect likeness, and Loske was silently grateful her reproduction had been stayed and she was isolated in her appearance.

They were in conversation, and if she hadn’t been close enough to see lips moving it would have been impossible to attribute the voices to two speakers. Their tones and inflections were similar and she partly wondered if the mannerisms would be consistent from each soldier to the next.

The tail end of the conversation was less juicy than the former exchange, but she used it as a way to introduce herself anyway. With the single objective of visit Chandrila, specifically today, she’d opted out of the mask. She wasn’t a local and not trying to curry any favours..maybe she’d purchase one later, but for now no such concealment.

“Hopefully there’s not much to police today, everyone seems pretty festive except..maybe you guys?” She feigned appraising the armour, as if that was the only cue she could use to correlate the people to their titles. “You’re part of the remnant clone squadron, aren’t you?”

As the admiral continued through the market continuing to try and an officer he noticed CT-3902s squad. He was going to need more specific directions if he was going to find himself an officer. As he approached Dorian Sevanar's Agent 66 cut him off and introduced himself. On of the marines stepped in front of Jasol, and stopped Agent 66 from getting any closer but Dorsian waved him off. "It's alright corporal. I doubt anyone here is looking to kill me." he said before listening to Agent 66.

"Yes I am the Governor Admiral of Sanjin Mr Lee and I'm here to to look into some of these clones." he said before looking Agent 66 up and down. Dorsian was still unsure of who the man was. "My marines have all undergone training from former stormtroopers and I believe these clones have something to teach. I was hoping to temporarily loan some out but it seems they are adamant about staying as a unit." he continued. The Galactic Alliance had recently banned the creation of clones and Dorsian knew this would be a point of contention for some of the 327th.

Jasol had yet found out anything about the Agent so it seemed reasonable he did so. "And who are you Mr. Lee? You know who I am and who I represent, what about yourself?"

The little festival was an unfamiliar sight to the Echani, the simple joys of rural life being alien to the city girl that Jorryn was. Back home in the Sith Empire, she would look down on such people, not giving a second thought to their joys and their frustrations. But it was different in the Galactic Alliance. Rae had mentioned she needed to go undercover in the Galactic Alliance, another favour that Rae asked her to grant. The Echani was more than happy to grant the request to her favourite attendant, but every favour came with a price tag.

And this one was to bring the Lord Inquisitor along.

It was risky of course, but if Rae could be in danger, then Jorryn knew she couldn't let the Corellian face it alone. Only as surprising was the fact that the Lord Inquisitor was honestly enjoying herself in this festival, the daily lives of their people never having concerned her before. It was such a magical thing to see for the first time, instead of struggling amongst each other, these people were celebrating. Celebrating gathering wheat of all things. Jorryn was more than excited to partake herself, a masquerade being something that she was familiar with, her favourite fox mask helping conceal her appearance as much as flickering her eyes from their natural amber state to a soft pink did. Fingers weaved themselves in between Rae's as the pair walked around the dainty little town, a genuine smile on her face as she followed along with her attendant as her soft shoes pressed down on the grass. Not attendant, lover.

Of course, that was only the cover they were using. So Jorr convinced herself.

It was the Echani who presented the idea, and Rae didn't exactly have any exceptions to the idea. In fact, she was more than happy to fulfill the role, the two not being entirely unfamiliar with a little intimacy. Jorryn could feel her heart skip a beat as the Corellian agreed as if they had joined together officially and actually. Of course, it was just a ritual, the Echani still belonged to Vaylin Vaylin after all.

But she didn't. She belonged to Rae.

"That sounds horribly unhealthy, darling." Pitch and tone disguising her voice more than faking an accent ever could as she looked back to Rae and smiled. "Though I suppose I could be convinced to have half of one." Warmth and honey filled her sweet voice as she looked into her false lover's green eyes, attachment and genuine emotion flying between them. Moreso than a false act could provide.

Camo sighed as he stalked the section of the train he'd been given to patrol. There was nothing here, just like everyone else reporting in absolutely nothing, what a waste of resources thought Camo as he adjusted the position of his rifle, this was life in the GADF though, too many resources deployed when they didn't need them and never enough when the opposite was the case.

"All clear here too" he responeded to the trickle of checks coming in over comms, not hiding the boredom in his tone, "Reminds me of doing relief on Lialic, except this I don't have to worry about the amazing labelling ability of the GA, atleast it's not as hot here thankfully" he awaited a response over comms as he sat down on a crate placing his rifle down carefully next to him.

"They could be hiding in here!" Drave had a box of the corn pried open and was digging around inside of it with his side arm drawn and his carbine on the ground.

"Wut kind o idiots hide in corn?" Lilst said lazily leaning against the walls of the hovertrain.

As the door slid open they snapped to attention. Lilst stood up straight and saluted and a comically loud smash was heard as Drave dropped the lid of the box and bent over to pick up his rifle before he snapped to attention as well and saluted back. Trevin raised an eyebrow at the two and decided not to engage what they had been doing. He figured he would be wasting his time and energy anyways. They were both Corporals who had distinguished themselves in the Army. He knew that once someone signed up for a second tour they were usually a little unhinged but they were good soldiers. You learned to live with the little imperfections as long as they were able to watch your back in a scrap.

"All the boxes were checked before being loaded onto the train," Trevin said casually as he waved his hand to signal that they could be at ease. They relaxed a bit and Lilst gave Drave a cocky look as if to say I told you so. Trevin let his carbine rest against his chest as it had a strap that allowed it to hang freely and out of the way. "If we are going to be attacked it will be from up there." He pointed up into the sky. "And we have air support." He smiled, bless those pilots.

"So Sarge, first mission is guarding a bunch of corn, you okay with that?" Drave had relaxed and was now propped with his butt against one of the boxes and his legs crossed in a standing position.

"I have to be," Trevin said with indifference. "Mission is a mission. The goal is to stand out, even on the easy ones, that way the brass up top think you are some kind of super soldier. They don't know the difference. Put your life on the line, you're a hero, even if putting your life on the line was nothing more than kicking a grenade. Complain about your missions, you're a liability, even if they are stupid missions." He took a deep breath and turned back to face them. "Like.... guarding corn." He chuckled and the other two had a laugh along with him.

As the train went over a large canyon like structure something shook the side of the train. Trevin looked over just in time to see ships fly up and over the sides of the hovertrain. His eyes widened as he realized that they were shuttles, and they were not planned or GA shuttles, which meant they were hostile. How had they hidden? His eyes peaked out the window and he realized they must have been using the canyon side to shield themselves and as the train approached they just flew up into the air. "Two hostile ships on both sides of the train!" He shouted into his comm and he grabbed his carbine and turned the safety off.

He heard the sounds of boots hitting the top of the hovertrain. Lots of them. "They are dropping soldiers onto the roof!" He spoke into his comm again and he quickly hit the button that opened the hovertrain doors. Lilst and Drave followed suit as the three of them quickly ran through the train to meet up with Din Marren Din Marren and Camo Orerig Camo Orerig . "Permission to be a welcome party to our new friends, sir?"

Chancellor Emerita / Advisor of State
Governing the Alliance was no small undertaking, to be certain. When the cameras were off and the glamor and pomp of the Senate melted away, the true work of the senators began. They often spent most days privately debating economic policies, writing legislation, meeting with constituents, and sitting in on seemingly endless committee meetings. And when the cameras were on? They were typically locked in heated debates about some minuscule ideological disagreement. As glamorous as it might have seemed to some, politics often got very nasty and the whole thing could be truly draining.
So, whenever the opportunity presented itself, the legislators relished a moment to relax and get away from it all. The harvest celebration on Chanrdrilla provided one such opportunity and Adhira was determined to seize on it. She had spoken to several of the most prominent voices in the Senate from all ends of the philosophical spectrum to invite them to join her for a day of -nearly- anonymous enjoyment.
To mark the occasion, Adhira had forgone the signature extravagant fashion she'd come to be associated with on Coruscant, opting instead for a simple fabric, wrapped leisurely around her frame. She even opted to wear her air down in a dark braid that cascaded down her shoulder. On the agri-planet of Chandrilla even some of the most recognizable faces of the Senate would be able to blend into the crowd if they dressed for the occasion and she had.
"Oh, I will have that, thank you," the Balmorran said happily as she grabbed what appeared to be a spirit of some sort which was poured into a gourd at one of the stalls lining the street. She handed the merchant a few credits as payment and raised the gourd in a toast to her and continuing down the market. The drink was strong and earthy and almost immediately gave her head rush. Clearly, a homebrew and Adhira was not complaining.
When she came to the agreed-upon meeting spot for the other Senators, she leaned up against a cool stone wall and watched for the others.
