10. What brought you to writing?: Adventure. Escape. As a boy, my interest in writing began with Lewis. The enchantment of Narnia, a world away from the one we know. Magic, monsters, things we consider to be surreal or unrealistic. A place those things can exist called out to me. As time went on, I delved into Herbert, into Erikson. I played video games extensively as a young man, because characters like Serge and Tidus allowed me to sink into their roles. I could fight dragons. I could fall in love with characters who believed in something. I could do all the things that I couldn't do in this world. I wanted to make those stories. It was my dream.
11. What keeps you writing?: Some dreams die, but the magic behind them rarely does. Can't run from my problems anymore. Still can use the skills I've learned along the way.
12. Favorite character: Enlil. He is a powerful, self-respecting, positive character that was born from a dark time in my life. For me, he encapsulates the type of man who triumphs over adversity and doesn't let others talk down to him.

6. Hobbies other than writing: Lol uh... there's a recurring joke among people who know me that I have no other actual hobbies besides writing, except maybe reading books and listening to music.

9. What kind of care do you drive: Back when I was still driving I had a pretty little blue Cruze, my mom has since taken it over.
10. What brought you to writing? I started out handwriting (as in, with pen/pencil on notebook paper) terrible fanfiction about video games when I was about 9-10 years old. It was a purely instinctual thing, I didn't know what I was doing, just that I needed to do it. I eventually discovered you could post fanfiction on the Internet, so I did that throughout my teen years and into my first couple years of college. By then I had decided that I wanted to actually become a novelist. I managed to write a novel, but it wasn't very good. I'm currently trying to write another one, hopefully it will be better. Anyway, Chaos is something I do for fun and because I feel like I need more experience under my belt, and also because it gives me ideas. I'm notoriously bad when it comes to ideas, but if you give me something worth writing about I can churn out some pretty good stuff.
11. What keeps you writing? A sense of obligation to the other writer(s). I don't like to leave people hanging lol. That and the validation aspect - knowing that people like your writing and enjoy writing with you has kept me going here.
12. Favorite character: Jacen Nimdok of course. He's the natural evolution of one of the very first characters I ever created, and he's the easiest to write. Most of the time, anyway.
13. Favorite character: AMCO used to be my all-time fave, but now he dead. (And I'll be the first to admit that my admiration for him was mostly due to long discussions I had with his writer about who he was supposed to be. In most of his actual threads, he came across as just another nasty Sith heavy, albeit a cowardly one in a nice suit.) I also like Laertia Io , she's very interesting and unique. Ryv is a complex and intriguing character, Auteme is cool too. Kyra Perl is very well written from a mechanics-of-writing perspective (meaning that her writer can convey emotion and drama via prose exceptionally well.) Cotan Sar'andor is a fuggin' trip, Desbre Gensan is a new face that definitely came to my attention immediately, Jorah zos Darnus I like because he's hardcore traditional and his naivete is depicted really well... uhhhh I can't think of any more off the top of my head.
14. Favorite character: Mr. Spock from Star Trek is the one I would pick if I had to pick just one. I also am quite fond of Special Agent Dale Cooper from Twin Peaks (in case that wasn't obvious), Rick from Casablanca, Allie Johnson and Mikey McGill from the Skinjacker trilogy (great books, highly recommend), Scarlett O'Hara, maaaaybe Dracula?
15. What keeps you writing? I remain here for the sole purpose of tormenting Maxirizuul to the end of his days. But actually, I do it because I can't stop writing or I will literally go insane. Seriously. Lord help anyone who gets between me and my keyboard.

10. What brought you to writing? A lot of the time growing up I spent pretty alone. Writing helped me not to feel so alone, so I stuck with it.
11. What keeps you writing? It's a coping mechanism for me. Before loosing my son almost three years ago (Garrick. Wren's Twin) writing was just something to do. Now it helps. I can get out a lot of the terribleness I feel through writing when I feel I need to, and on the flip side it's also a place I can let myself relax and not be sad.
12. Favorite character: I suck at picking favorites, but my all time fav isn't from here. Daichi, my one armed half orc artificer from a West Marsh style server. DnD. Low Wis High Int is a fun way to play, and his character arch was something I wish I had a way to dive into more (If you don't know what a West Marsh is, it's a style of DnD where a bunch of DMs work together to create a world story that others can join in and opt out at their leisure. Great for if you just want to play and can't find a stable group, not so good for personal character arcs).
    
    If I have to pick from Chaos, it'd be Alina. Been a long time since I felt this drive to RP a character as I do now with her.

A lot of people were there with me when I first learned I was having twins and those same people helped when my wife and I lost Garrick. I take time off from here now and then for that same reason (It's not easy to remember the joy that was ripped away), but I always come back because of the people.
