  • Master Shaper: In line with her heritage, Kaalia has mastered the art of elemental shaping. As her technique of choice, she can use her abilities with deadly precision, and if necessary bring about what is nothing short of complete devastation. Her natural affinity lies with fire, though she has mastered the other elements of water, earth, and wind as well.
  • Master Bladeswoman: Over the years, Kaalia developed her natural talent with the lightsaber to become an incredibly deadly bladeswoman. She mainly makes use of an unorthodox variant of Jar'kai, supplanted by Makashi when using a single saber.
  • Defiance: Kaalia's story is one of fighting back against the forces of fate. Starting off as a nobody with nothing to her name, she has scratched and clawed her way to power, enduring all the setbacks and painful lessons on that path. She did so her own way, never taking no for an answer, refusing to kneel to another and never being a blind follower. As a result, she is resilient not just physically but also mentally. Breaking her will is a monumental feat.
  • Powers of the Netherworld: As the once-Valkyrie Matriarch, Kaalia is an agent of the Netherworld. She can tap into the powers of this realm, allowing her to assume a spectral form, as well as manifest spectral wings that allow her to take flight.

  • Force Nullification: Without the Force, Kaalia is cut off from her greatest source of power. Force powers are, naturally, out of the question, the Netherworld cannot be drawn upon and even her bladework is much less potent without the Force enhancing her senses. Simply put, Kaalia isn't much of a threat without access to the Force.
  • Family First: Since becoming a wife and mother, Kaalia's life has changed quite drastically. As powerful as she has become, she cares about her family first and foremost and everything else second. She is hesitant, if not outright unwilling, to put what she had built together with Ishana in danger. One consequence of this is that her time fighting wars and being on the front lines is over.
