• (+) Racial Strengths:
Cunning: A naturally playful race, Kimiko exemplifies this trait whenever in high spirits and the situation dictates. She can easily persuade those around her to normally accomplish harmless needs, getting out of trouble., or as a way of joking around with other’s emotions.
  • Agile: Being very light on their feet, Kitsune can accomplish high jumps and bounds humans would typically shy away from. They even have a parkour-style sport they compete in.
  • Acute Hearing: The hearing range for Kitsune extends much higher than humans. This trait has evolved from when the Kitsune were hunters and sought out small prey.
  • Eyesight: Another trait from the savage days, their eyes can easily focus in on a farther point, granting binocular vision, or track rapid movement in a visually cluttered background.

[*](+) Marathon Runner: Keeping in shape with a routine that includes a lot of cardio, her built up stamina can keep her moving for quite some time.

Weakness(es):
  • (-) Racial Weaknesses:
Tails: As with any other Akaran, severing a tail or nine would most likely prove fatal.

  • Sensitive Hearing: Good hearing comes with a price; any extremely loud noises can cause severe damage.
  • Emotional: Most decisions can be driven by the current mood, this makes for some questionable decisions even for the most serious matters.

[*](-) Naïve: Growing up without any solid role models, her actions and decisions can come off a bit immature. Also has a bit of trouble with certain aspects of more advanced technology.
[*](-) Physically Lacking: Although her stamina can be impressive at times, her physical stature and musculature are a bit underwhelming. She has been known to incorporate strength training into her routine to help alleviate this issue.
[*](-)

Characteristic(s):
  • (>) Musically Inclined: Enjoys music in every form, even occasionally singing along with the songs she knows. She can always be heard humming or even singing when alone and not actively engaged in an activity. Carries around a personal music device for use when alone.
  • (>)

Basic Information
Personality:

A bright and bubbly soul, Ki is extremely energetic and outgoing, happily approaching anyone. Her cheery demeanor makes her friends easily, in the oddest of places. This typical nature has a surprising off-set though…a dark depressive side can manifest while in isolation. She manages this well though, through music, staving the darkness within her heart.

Appearance:

A beautiful young Kitsune female in her late twenties, Kimiko takes pride in her appearance and carries herself highly. She stands just over five feet, not counting her ears, and has been said to be well blessed. Her curves hide a well-toned figure that is the result of continuous training.

Snow white ‘fur’ covers her pointed ears atop her head, as well as her normal hair, and nine fluffy tails. Her past was in the long-haired fashion, but recently she has kept it short, not going far past her neck. Pale skin and bright blue eyes show without a blemish in sight, though lately her motherly scars can be found if certain areas are bared.

After much practice, meditation, and some thought, she has learned to focus her energies and tap into the Dark-side of the Force for power at times. The only physical change that occurs is her eyes go from blue to violet.

Ki’s wardrobe is nowhere near as eccentric as she can be, preferring simple and functional to overly elaborate fashions. Ki’s primary colors are white, blue, and gold. Daily, she can be found sporting the royal robes while wandering about the palace or surrounding areas. For more casual settings, she throws on whatever suits her needs, normally reverting to her trusty traveling attire. For physical activities, it has been said her attire can distract even the most disciplined of the Imperial Knights…and don’t even ask about in private. For formal events, she has been known to don a dress or suit depending on her role. As far as combat is concerned, she typically wears the least restrictive attire as possible, despising most armor, as she loves to use her agility to her advantage.

Biography

Unknown Origins

There are few who actually know of this particular Akaran’s origins. Would they be persuaded to tell the tale, it could prove to be an interesting story. The few clues that are available are that her mother passed during child-birth, and somehow Ki was secretly smuggled off the isolated planet before something could happen to her…one day, more may be revealed…

Early Years

Ki’s earliest memories are of a childhood that was filled with happiness and adventure. She was the adopted daughter of a wealthy inner colony merchant. He was not wed nor had a family of his own, and happily took the unique young Kitsune in. For her early years, they travelled together as he did business throughout the Galaxy. While travelling, the merchant took extremely good care of his adopted daughter, keeping her from harm as well providing the very best credits could offer. But this sadly was not to last…

Slavery

On one of his many business dealings, negotiations went south. A gang gunned him down in cold blood as Kimiko watched in horror. The group quickly moved and began pilfering his belongings and captured the young girl in the process. Ki was soon presented before the boss of the gang to possibly go to auction off. Instead, the man decided to keep the exotic girl around. This began several years under the thumb of this group, who used her to suit their personal desires and fantasies. The group took their trophy across the shadier parts of the Galaxy and the torment only got worse. After some time, Ki became numb to it all and began going through the motions until her eventual and eagerly accepted demise. But thankfully, this did not happen…

Rescue and Galactic Introduction

On Kal’Shebbol, the gang had made landfall to take in the sights and try to make some more credits. This little excursion was not to well-timed, as two of the Outer Rim coalitions strongest happened to be in the area. Bryce Bantam and Nate Phantoms happened to spot the battered young woman in a cage, the latter taking it personally to the extent that he broke her out. The impromptu rescue sparked a fierce firefight in the auction grounds, but the heroes easily escaped with Kimiko in tow. Not believing she was actually freed, she broke down in Nate’s arms and eagerly awaited what this new chapter would bring…

Chapter One: Discovery

After her rescue, Kimiko began slowly easing herself into the wider picture of things. Always being different didn’t stop her from finding work within the Coalition. This brought her first exposure to many things the Galaxy had to offer. It was also around this time she discovered her ability to use the Force and her research led to her departure from Outer Rim space to seek training opportunities. During these travels, she also met Dax Fyre. While she was learning, the desire to find out who and what she was began to burn brighter than ever.

Kimiko was only outside of Outer Rim space for several months before returning. During this time several territorial gains were made, expanding the Coalition’s hold on their corner of the map. Most of these, Ki made herself known, to the ire of certain people within her life. She fought with her friends however and was more than eager to do so. A budding relationship with one of her rescuers was also occurring at this time.

One Nate Phantoms had left quite the impact on the woman that soon turned into love. The two were inseparable, traveling across the Galaxy at each other’s side. Their courtship was rocky, but stayed strong, culminating in a proposal of marriage and a son, Oji, born after the tumultuous battle on Mustafar. The pair however was not destined to last. Nate, along with one Dax Fyre had discovered a dark planet within the Outer Rim and departed to claim it for their own, leaving Ki to her own devices.

Other notable actions during this time include the procurement of several Razer-class corvettes during the Omega Event and the adoption of Tsubasa from Mykyr during a humanitarian mission to the planet.

Chapter Two: Abandonment and Exile

As she went about her life, a new calling was heard. The call was strong and led Kimiko to discover the planet Akarui, her actual home and people. Things started normally, with the discovery. The Steward of the Throne, Ki’s own sister Ceres, had welcomed her with open arms and things seemed to open nicely. She spent several weeks touring the planet and getting to know the people of the world. But her true intentions would soon make themselves known.

The Tyrant Steward as she was known didn’t want any competition to her power and moved to capture and kill Ki and her off-world companions, swiftly imprisoning her. She was broken out with the assistance of her crew. This sparked a rebellion by the leading clans against the Steward, in which Ki openly took part in. The battle was proceeding favorably in the rebels’ favor, until the final battle within the palace. Ceres and Kimiko squared off for control of the empire, the duo trading blows regularly.

The younger Kimiko seemed to have the upper hand towards the end of the duel, but Ceres retook her advantage, destroying Ki’s lightsaber and turning the entire tide of the rebellion in one fell swoop. This blow caused a near immediate rout for the rebellion’s forces. In victory, the Steward tightened her grip on the planet, enslaving many of her former foes. This caused Ki to depart the world and head into exile. She left some of her companions on the world as advisors and for future operations.

During her exile, Kimiko meditated constantly, and studied, seeking out more about the Force, politics, and Galactic history where ever she could. Eventually, she and her crew made landfall on Tatooine, making regular trips to the nearby spaceport for supplies. During this time Ki came across a Tusken by the name of A’Runda, who was outcast by his own people for his Force abilities and began explaining the Force to him as best she could. Through this meeting Kimiko rediscovered something in her and began preparations to return.

Chapter Three: Return

Upon her return to Coalition space, she immediately began preparations to free her people. She had brought back one of the Akaran clan leaders and began petitioning the Coalition Council for assistance. They agreed, and she immediately began preparations for the coming battle.

During the preparations, Dax returned, and this excited Ki for the possible return of her lover Nate. But, Dax one day told her of events that transpired between them, and of his possible demise. This shattered the woman, who was in the middle of preparing an invasion, and she quickly pushed the feelings down in order to focus on the task at hand.

Dax would provide much needed companionship and in the ensuing stress that would come with preparing an invasion, the two began courting one another. Ki would constantly downplay the advances until she had accomplished her task, but nonetheless reciprocated when and where appropriate.

During this time, she travelled to Illum and sought out a new saber crystal, successfully finding a viridian gem to place within her a new hilt.

Chapter Four: Freedom

With their preparations complete, a Coalition invasion force descended upon the planet of Akarui. Led by Kimiko, the force began freeing the imprisoned Akarans and equipping their forces as they marched on the palace. During a rather dicey moment on the outskirts of the palace, Kimiko and Dax had an impromptu wedding in the midst of the battle. Once the opposition was crushed under the combined Free Akaran and Coalition might, Kimiko took the battle once again to her sister in the throne room.

Ceres, ordered her guard commander to finish an exhausted Ki and end this war, but he refused, sending the Steward into a rage-fueled attack. Ceres and Kimiko went at it as others watched with held breath. For a time it seemed Ki would eventually lose to her sister’s overwhelming attacks. But she persevered, wearing out Ceres’ stamina over time and eventually disarming her.

When presented with the option, Ki at first chose to imprison her deranged sister and have her stand trial for crimes against her people. But Ceres did not allow this. While down, she attempted a grab for a weapon, forcing Kimiko to cut her down and ending her reign once and for all.

Chapter Five: Rise of an Empire

Once established, and peace eventually restored, the newly freed people of Akarui welcomed their new Empress with open arms. Almost immediately, she put into motion a slew of reforms and projects aimed at bringing her people more in-line with their Galactic neighbors. With the multitude of advisors brought by the new ruler, the entire populace mobilized to meet their Empress' desires. The future looked bright.

Very rapidly, the little planet made huge gains in modernization; establishing a fully functional house of government, military forces, production centers, and began trading with others. They began sprinting towards the finish, while ensuring their ways were preserved. Kimiko for a time began a plan to abolish the royal rule and allow the people to take over the rule of their planet together. But her plans were quickly pushed to the side...

The extra-galactic Sharukans began a blitz against the Coalition, scoring many victories against the caught off guard faction. Though far from the front, Akarui began accepting refugees from the war and settled them on the second planet in the system, establishing a sort-of colony for the misplaced. Kimiko did everything she could to offer support, but her advisors always talked her out of deploying her fledgling military en-masse. It all changed when the invaders targeted Saijo...

Frustrated with her advisors lack of confidence she deployed a small task force in support of the defense of the planet, that included her eldest daughter. The battle was hard for the defenders and casualties were high. But the turning point came when Tsubasa herself was shot down and captured by the invaders. This sent the Empress into a fit of anger and depression that lasted several weeks.

The darkness slowly filled the grieving woman's head and heart, causing a distinct change in behavior few could spot. But she eventually overcame and returned to regular functions. During this time, she pressed her people to ramp up production, conscripting every citizen to contribute. They built a fleet, manufactured weapons, swelled the ranks of the military.

Upon completion of the grandest of the Akaran-built vessels to date, Kimiko dispatched the largest deployment of her forces seen thus far to Saijo, for an operation to rescue the Crown Princess. Operation Ascendant as it was called was an astounding success for the Imperial forces. But Kimiko, upon seeing the condition of her daughter at the hands of the Sharukans, snapped and began calling for less than savory action. Immediately, her fleet laid waste to the enemy ships in orbit, obliterating them. It was only when she order a bombardment of the planet below did her most trusted advisor, Akaran Supreme Command Chika Takami, stepped in and slapped some sense into the raging Empress. She saw the error of her ways, but vowed revenge against the extra-galactic invaders...

The Empire was preparing for war.
