STRENGTHS

  • Bifrost at Home: The Freyja has a class 0.1 hyperdrive and a backup class 1.0 to ensure that this ship gets where it needs to go in the event of any imminent threats. It is meant to be a first responder to any hostilities within its reach. They also have their own power unit, given the massive power requirements for a hyperdrive this advanced.
  • To Snipe, or Not to Snipe: The Freyja has the capabilities of being a sniper thanks to its Malmourral Cannons and other large caliber weaponry, or it can close the distance and use its numerous 'smaller' systems to tear the enemy apart from close range.
  • Fast Destroyer: Meant to be a first responder, the Freyja, is exceptionally fast and maneuverable. Potentially outmatching vessels in its weight class or above.
  • Unique Bridge: The ellipsoid-shaped bridge is mounted ventrally between the main hull and the engines. This means it's protected from behind and front by the main mass of the ship's hull. This allows for easy navigation in the atmosphere and cannot render the command crew blind unless the bridge itself is hit. It also has a secondary Imyndaða hologram system allowing for a full 360-degree view of the battlefield inside the bridge allowing for unparalleled battlefield awareness.
  • Gravity Well Neutralizer: The Freyja is equipped with a neutralizer system to reduce the effectiveness of interdiction fields.
WEAKNESSES

  • Twice the Power, Twice the Explosion: Because this ship is equipped with two HAPUs if there were to be an 'explosive malfunction' the result would be the end of the ship. "Gone, reduced to atoms." -Thanos
  • EMP/Ion: The Freyja has many systems that are a boon to its crew and overall function. However, with all electronically advanced anything, EMP/Ion-based weaponry can rid this vessel of those boons, with enough damage.
  • Sniper or a Saber: While the Freyja has the ability to switch from long-range to close-range with a simple full-speed ahead, it doesn't mean that its weapons can. While the majority of the weapons aboard the vessel can, there are a few that cannot, limiting the Freyja's firepower. The only way these weapons could be used is by barrel-stuffing them and that would damage both the giver and receiver.
  • Low Squadron Count: Like all the vessels in this line, Freyja is not a carrier.

DESCRIPTION
The Freyja is the next iteration in the Naval Corp of Engineering's line of fast ships for immediate and fast response in the defense of the Empire. While the Freyja is designed differently, she is very much a smaller version of the Heimdall. She, unlike other ships of the line, has the same axial-mounted Malmourral super heavy fusion plasma artillery cannon that the Heimdall has, but only has one whereas the Heimdall has two. The Freyja Can be a sniper at the back of engagements providing accurate artillery salvos, or she can full-speed ahead and take the enemy on in close quarters combat. She is equipped with state-of-the-art weaponry, including some barbettes of kyber-imbued turbolasers, which have increased stopping power and accuracy thanks to using kyber crystals as a focus. She is deadly at long-ranges and even nastier up-close when she can use her full broadside against enemies of the Empire.

Like all the other ships in this line, she is equipped with the wonderful Hermóðr-class 0.1 Hyperdrive, allowing it to continue being the first responder to threats within her borders. Additionally, it has a Class 1.0 hyperdrive as its backup. It also still has the two HAPU system for powering the ship itself and its hyperdrives seperately. Unforunately this means that if one was to blow up, the other would soon follow resulting in a much larger explosion.

The Freyja is also equipped with a Gravity Well Neutralizer to reduce the effectiveness of interdiction fields. This system doesn't completely negate the effects of a field, it cannot punch above its class. For example a star destroyer can go up against a star destroyer and anything below it, but it were to take on a battlecruiser's interdiction field it would need multiple in order to cancel it out. In addition to this, the defensive suite the Freyja is equipped with a multi-layered military grade shields including a molecular shield, as well as thick quadanium plating. And its point defense and TCT-23s have been upgraded with the Active Harmonizing System to increase accuracy against starfighters and larger capital ships.

The Freyja is an excellent ship that is able to an artillery lobber from the rear of an engagement, or be up close and personal using its advanced weaponry. If a Heimdall is not able to respond to a threat, this ship can take over the command of a fleet of first responders. She is well equipped to take and dish damage, before the calvary arrives, then assisting when they are. She is another perfect addition to the fast line of ships the NCE has been designing and producing for the Empire's defense.
