Faction Purpose: House Mecetti is a powerful and wealthy noble house of the Tapani sector, seeking to become the preeminent power of the sector and a major player in galactic politics. They are most strongly in opposition to House Pelagia, their rivals from ancient times.
All key industries of the Mecetti province have been nationalized since the decade prior to the Galactic Empire, making House Mecetti the de-facto owners of several mega-corporations. Of these holdings, the most prized is the Obulette Shipyard, which manufactures and maintains starships of various designs, including a dozen ancient Victory II star destroyers which have been in House possession since the dawning of the Empire before the Battle of Yavin. The maintaining of these venerable craft is a symbol of the House's dedication to its traditions.
Those traditions are also represented in the recent return of the House to its original colors of Red, Brown, and Gray- the colors the House held in the time of their ancient alliance with the Sith. Eschewing the Green and Red colors, and their House emblem of a Green Dragon, raised some eyebrows in the Galactic Alliance, but the House has been steadfast in its opposition to the Sith for the past century, so such concerns have faded away.
House Mecetti nobles have participated in the Culture of Saber Rakes for a thousand years, with young nobles dueling over points of honor with lightfoils. These lightfoils are copies of ancient Sith weapons, and the dueling culture is so much a part of the noble life that members of the nobility carry non-functioning replicas of the weapons during state functions where no weapons are permitted.
Notable members of the House include Casteban Mecetti, the Lord of the Province, his wife Vianca Mecetti, head of the Ministry of Inquiry, and their son Maldor Mecetti, Senator of Obulette. The House is always looking for promising individuals to help them expand their power and influence in the Tapani Sector and beyond.
House Guard Forces: 12 Victory Star Destroyers, 20 Raider Class Corvettes, and hundreds of starfighters, shuttles, and gunships. Ground forces include 100,000 troops, who provide security for the House estates and serve as a marine force that can be deployed from Star Destroyers. The Ministry of Inquiry is the largest force of House Mecetti, numbering in the millions of personnel.
