TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Conditional Dogfighter: Not limited to engaging ground targets, the Yuxa is capable of dogfighting in atmosphere against swoop craft, airspeeders, and even starfighters, though it is not intended to perform in this role under ideal conditions. While its lower mass compared to airspeeders and starfighters makes the Yuxa inherently more maneuverable than many larger craft, it suffers from a dearth of speed and firepower compared to them. In addition, the Yuxa generally performs poorly against faster and more agile repulsor bike craft, which are capable of out-turning it due to its low maneuverability for its class.
  • Fire Concentration: Correcting the disadvantages of twinned weaponry pertaining to concentration of fire at certain ranges, the Yuxa utilizes a data-brain governed fire-concentration system that executes minute on-the-fly adjustments to the angle of the craft’s fixed-forward weaponry, based on constant feedback from pilot input and targeting data. In effect, this system dynamically optimizes pattern harmonisation at all viable ranges, affording the weapons greater accuracy and damage potential.
  • Ground Attack: Possessing a robust shielding array to protect the craft from enemy fire and capable of bringing to bear an extreme degree of firepower for a vehicle of its class and size, the Yuxa is a devastatingly effective asset when utilized in a close attack role. The craft is very capable of disrupting ground formations of infantry, light and medium-sized armored vehicles, and even tanks, though it’s main repeating guns are less effective in engaging such heavier classes of vehicle, forcing the pilot to rely on the Yuxa’s missiles or energy torpedoes under those conditions.
  • Electronic Warfare: Featuring a comprehensive suite of electronic warfare systems, the Yuxa can utilize these systems to dazzling effect in virtually any given battlespace, confusing missile tracking systems, jamming enemy sensors, disrupting targeting systems, and more. In effect, judicious application of these systems can make the swoop an extreme, yet hyper-lethal annoyance to enemy units.
WEAKNESSES
  • Charge Out: The field disruption system disables the Yuxa's shields during the period of its activation.
  • Charge Back: Absorptive types of shielding, such as Molecular or similar types of absorptive shielding, are capable of resisting the field disruption module by directly absorbing the “disruptive energy shields” projected by the field disruption module, preventing the craft from filtering through in the process. More aggressive types of reactive shields, such as Xythan Force shields, are able to absorb these “disruptive energy shields”, before violently discharging them back at the Yuxa with potentially deadly results, while also preventing penetration.
  • Shield-Focused Defense: Although the Yuxa possesses an armored fairing and is very capable of resisting hostile fire by itself, in the event that its shields are depleted or otherwise disabled it will only be able to provide a negligible degree of protection to the pilot, given their exposed riding position. As such, the Yuxa in practice derives most of its resilient defensive capabilities from its shields. Once these are down, the rider will be very vulnerable.
  • Ion Afterburn: The Yuxa’s ion afterburners can only be sustained for a limited amount of time due to its intense power demands and potential to overheat the engines. At maximum, it can only be active for ten consecutive seconds before it is automatically shut off, at which point the engines undergo a mandatory heat discharge protocol. In addition, the craft can not use weapons while the afterburners are engaged.
DESCRIPTION
Developed with technology derived from the FAE/V-02 “Loralora” Interceptor Hyperswoop Craft, the FAE/V-03 “Yuxa” Attack Swoop Craft is a heavier, close attack focused cousin of the Loralora. Though less effective as a dogfighter than its lighter counterpart, the Yuxa is more heavily-armed and armored, allowing the craft to retain integrity under a torrent of enemy fire as it disrupts ground formations via a salvo of missiles or energy torpedoes delivered through concentrated strafing runs. In essence, the Yuxa is intended as a close attack workhorse, capable of supporting friendly ground units through a strategic application of heavy firepower, while also acting as an engine of shock warfare.

All in all, the Yuxa is a powerful machine in an unconventional platform, lending its riders a frightening degree firepower for the modern battlefield.
