SPECIES: Human.

AGE: 24

HEIGHT: 6"

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

+ Analytical Mind: Taku looks at everything through the lens of a deep thinker. If there is an opportunity to exploit a situation or his surroundings, he will seize it. In a straight up fight he is less skilled than his peers and melee combat is not his forte- he might be able to hold his own- but he can outwit, out think, and outlast an opponent to win.

+ Genius at a Distance: Taku's singular gift was his critical eye. He carefully examines everything, and looks at the world from a wide variety of angles. He sees things other people miss. Even more so, his vision is impeccable- he can see fine detail at a distance, and with assistance, he can hit a bullseye at about 60 meters.

+/- Just doesn't want to be a bad guy: If only because he's stubborn, Taku does not want to fall to the Dark side. He'll do practically anything to fulfill that purpose- his mother's last wish.

Conversely, his fixation on the darkness borders on obsession. He distrusts all things regarding the Sith and vehemently rejects those who sympathize with it in any way.

+/- Hates Losing: If nothing else can get Taku to act, not wanting to lose to anyone brings out the fire in him. He was always mediocre at best in physical competition and never excelled above his peers. He was great at games that required thought or strategy, but it never leveled the playing field. That said, he refuses to give up when his pride is on the line, and he'll go the extra mile to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

- Scars from the Past: Taku was a middle child of no great or impressive talent. When compared to his elder brothers- which he was, often- he was assessed and treated as a failure. Because of this, he suffers from feelings of inadequacy and often downplays even great praise.

Others may see this as humility, but he is incredibly harsh toward himself. It is extremely easy for others to miss this and for him to go down a path of isolation and self-loathing.

- Grudges: When his father left his mother to join the Sith, Taku watched his family break apart and his mother's heart followed soon thereafter. She fell ill and made him promise never to be like the man who destroyed their happiness. Taku harbors a lot of resentment, and because of it, he is susceptible to bearing grudges against people.

APPEARANCE: About average in almost every way, Taku does everything he can not to stand out. His clothes are generally iconic for his culture, but his hair and his eyes are uncommon in color to most people.

BIOGRAPHY: He was born into a family of six, three brothers and two sisters. Taku was the fifth child with three elder brothers, an elder sister, and a younger sister. They lived a mostly peaceful life with a businessman father and a doting mother, until the Sith came.

His father, easily swayed by the promise of power, influence, and money, became corrupted by the darkness and joined the Empire. When that happened, chaos descended. His Eldest Brother who revered their father followed him to the Empire, while his two other brothers left home to pursue other things. One of them was killed in a conflict while the other all but disappeared. His elder sister stayed with their mother to care for her, and his youngest sister, still a child remained as well.

As their mother took ill, she pleaded with Taku not to become like his father, and implored him to do something of meaning with his life. They had never expected great things from him: of all the children, he was the least motivated and the biggest dreamer. If he could have gone through life without ever working hard, he would have.

Alas, his dream of an easy life was not to be. When his mother died, her final wish burdened him so deeply, he made his decision. He would become a Jedi.

Even if he was the worst Jedi that ever lived.
