STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Fast and Agile: The Anooba is both very fast and highly agile, enabling it to intercept fast moving, agile targets.
  • Small Sensor Signature: The Anooba's small sensor profile afforded to it by it's low-profile engine, reflec coated hull and electronic warfare suite allows it to potentially sneak up on unsuspecting inbound hostile craft, as well as potentially avoid a majority of incoming fire.
  • 'Manda' Tactical Battlenet: The Anooba benefits from having the fighter based version of the 'Manda' tactical battlenet, allowing it to benefit from sensor and targeting data from not only its fellow fighters but from the rest of a deployed naval formation. Additionally, the pilot can benefit from the system's threat tracking and analysis features, allowing them to potentially gain the edge over an enemy combatant in a dogfight because of the system's potential analysis of the other pilot and craft's capabilities and its following recommendation on how to counter both.
  • Versatile Armament: The variety of ordnance that can be loaded into Anooba's two repeating heavy mass-drivers and ordnance launchers allow it to engage a variety of targets, shielded or unshielded, heavily or lightly armored.
  • Advanced Sensor and Comms Suite: The Anooba has an advanced and long range comms and sensor suite, ensuring effective coordination and target acquisition.
WEAKNESSES
  • Large: The Anooba is larger than the average fighter, making it an easier target to hit at closer ranges where its electronic warfare suite is rendered ineffective and it's small sensor profile isn't a problem.
  • Boom: The Anooba carries a lot of ordnance, if a shot penetrates the armor and reaches the ordnance storage with enough energy left to detonate something, then it's very likely that the fighter will be destroyed entirely in the ensuing detonation of that ordnance and the following sympathetic detonation of the remaining ordnance.
  • Devastating Overload: Should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion is nothing short of devastating, completely and utterly annihilating whatever craft or vehicle it is mounted on.
  • Ammunition: Both the craft's main guns and its ordnance launchers have a finite ammunition supply, limiting the craft's ammunition supply
  • Tractor Shroud: The interceptor's tractor beam can be rendered ineffective by tractor shrouds that see increasing deployment on fighter sized platforms in contemporary times.
DESCRIPTION
"If I catch any of you di'kute kriffing around with the SLAM system before you get flight control basics down, I'll make you wish you were splattered across an asteroid."
-Strill Securities flight instructor to Scarif PDF pilot trainees.

The Anooba came out of Breshig War Forge Consolidated's commission from Viceroy of Scarif Hester Shedo Hester Shedo to modernize Scarif's PDF. Designed to be very fast and highly maneuverable, whilst packing a respectable armament and being reasonably resilient, the Anooba is very much the spiritual successor of the ancient Mandalorian Davaab starfighter of ancient times. The Anooba's speed and maneuverability is augmented by its powerful and versatile weapons loadout which can load a variety of different ordnance to enable it to engage a variety of different targets and also includes a tractor beam to potentially deny hostile craft the very same advantages it enjoys.
The Anooba benefits from having the fighter based version of the 'Manda' tactical battlenet, allowing it to benefit from sensor and targeting data from not only its fellow craft but from the rest of a deployed naval formation. Additionally, the pilot can benefit from the system's threat tracking and analysis features, allowing them to potentially gain the edge over an enemy combatant in a dogfight because of the system's potential analysis of the other pilot and craft's capabilities and its following recommendation on how to counter both.
Additionally, the Anooba's small sensor profile afforded to it by it's low-profile engine, reflec coated hull and electronic warfare suite allows it to potentially sneak up on unsuspecting inbound hostile craft, as well as potentially avoid a majority of incoming fire.
There are a few issues with the Anooba's design, and the most obvious among them is its large frame which makes it an easier target to hit at closer ranges where its electronic warfare suite is rendered ineffective and it's small sensor profile isn't a problem. The Anooba also carries a lot of ordnance, if a shot penetrates the armor and reaches the ordnance storage with enough energy left to detonate something, then it's very likely that the interceptor will be destroyed entirely in the ensuing detonation of that ordnance and the following sympathetic detonation of the remaining ordnance. While extremely powerful and fuel efficient, should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion will utterly annihilate whatever craft or vehicle it is mounted on. Should enemy craft employ a tractor shroud, an increasingly prevalent technology on the contemporary battlefield, the fighter's tractor beam will be rendered ineffective. Additionally, once the interceptor runs out of ammunition for its mass-driver cannons and ordnance for its ordnance launchers, it will have exhausted all its offensive weaponry and will be forced to return to base to rearm.
Nonetheless, the company is confident that Scarif's PDF will put the interceptor to extremely effective use against whatever foe dares to threaten them.

Listib Hibin Listib Hibin The intention is that it is meant for the sole use of Scarif's Planetary Defense Force, which is a CIS world. So it's for a smaller part of the CIS technically. That's the reasoning. Should I link the CIS, but specify that it's specifically for Scarif's PDF?
