Skirmish Battle for Kessel | Bryn vs SJO

Location: Aboard Starfighter
Gear: Rebuilt Lightsaber, Shield
Intent to Engage: Tathra Khaeus Tathra Khaeus

There was more than one person in the Galaxy looking for the red Titan.

Clad in new scars, Weyland sat in the cockpit of his X-01. A ship he'd technically stolen from Peace Station when it had been repaired, he'd spent hours sitting - watching. Allyson, Loske, Maynard. They'd nearly all died and for nothing. The weight was unbearable, the guilt crushed him. He couldn't endanger them, not again.

Master Quill had been right, without their fancy suits no one would've walked away from Honoghr and now the Bryn'adul had the planet. The Jedi Knight felt it in his heart that Tathra would be here, and this time he doubted the Titan would come to him. Honoghr had been a boast, a message sent that they were simply incapable of beating him. This time would be different, this time - he was going to take that bastards head in front of all HIS people.

His grip tightened on the joy sticks of the X-O1s interior controls. A shallow breath escaping his lungs as he waited in stealth mode; a warning had went out and Weyland answered the call.

"This is Jedi Knight Castril, if anyone can hear this; I'm alone but I'm here to help." Weyland sent out the encrypted message to all the Silver Jedi and Alliance frequencies logged on his ship.

Master Vurel Dardec, Jedi General

The sighting of the Bryn battlecruiser didn't confirm Tathra's presence, but was a strong sign.

Good enough.

The stealth drone finally spun up from its near dormant state to issue a single heavily encrypted psychic comm burst to its handlers in the Maw. Following the brief transmission, it went cold again after repositioning.

Minutes later a single sleek Star Destroyer reverted into Kessel's orbit, flanked by several supporting craft. Using the telemetry from the drone, it had carefully emerged behind the debris field of the broken Garrison moon, creating an obstruction between it and the much larger Bryn mothership and its escorts.

General Dardec wasted no time, springing to action moments after reversion. The window for a successful attack was slim.

"Target the Bryn construction zones and their orbital forces," the Khill ordered his ship's combat supercomputer. "Then follow up with the deployment of mines and anti-beam canisters."

Within nanoseconds, the automated systems of the Insolent Mare crafted a strike package. Dozens of missiles ports opened, spewing hundreds of missiles over the span of minute. There was a slight staggered release, jammer missiles launched as the first wave, creating interference and ghost signals to fool the Bryn. Next came the long range concussion missiles for the real damage.

From their current position, it would take several minutes for the missiles to reach their targets. More than enough time for enemy early warning systems to notice the missile launch and the big loud Star Destroyer now literally raining on their parade.

Perfect.

Dardec wanted all the attention, so that the Bryn forces didn't notice the small stealth warship creeping away from his formation, the frigate on a trajectory for low orbit, and the true mission.

Off with the head.

-------------

Fleet Comp (I don't mind being hilariously outgunned by my opposition. Asymmetric conflict is great.)

- 60x Bobcat Interceptors, Interceptor Configuration

Fleet actions:
  • Fleet arrives behind debris field of Garrison moon.
  • The Insolent Mare fires missile salvos against the construction sites in and around the incomplete Military Super Structure, and the enemy Bryn fleet in orbit to soften the targets for further assault.
  • The Nightshade uses the distraction of the flashy missile attack to move into position for an orbital drop.

Forces: Sariya Fenni, elements of a Kwookrrr Assault Regiment

Sariya and the admiral walked through the old mine corridors with the partially moderated unease of veterans knowing that they'd soon likely be in combat. His stomach always felt different, smaller and tighter than normal. A cold film of sweat typically enveloped his skin as well, but his newly acquired armor was quickly wicking it away from most of his body. If anything, the simple walkthrough of the base was allowing him to get adjusted to his new equipment. He silently thanked his luck that at least he had time for this. Sariya tapped him on the shoulder.

"Did you hear that?"

Gir shook his head, "No, what was it?"

She frowned, "I don't know...something."

"I don't doubt you," said the blonde man, "let's go to the command center and see what's going on."

The two made their way through the corridors of the base, which seemed to becoming more alive with activity as its personnel prepared for possible battle. Soldiers of the Silver Jedi Regulars were mustering with arms. Awakened from long sleepless slumber, the two also ran across the biomemetic Arrichit series Synthetic Soldiers grabbing their heavy personal arms and readying for eminent battle. There should be an actual wookiee among them somewhere...His eyes finally settled on a colored mark on one of their pauldrons - the traditional mark of a Kwookrrr hunting guide and symbol with the Kwookrrr Assault Regiment of some sort of NCO. He approached the wookiee and flipped open his helmet visor in order to reveal his identity.

"You and your troops, come with us sergeant," said the blonde man, "if there's any issue with your superiors, they can always call me."

The wookiee gave him a curious look before offering a quick if exaggerated nod in understanding. He barked a quick growl, which brought several dozen of the fake wookiee warriors with him. Sariya's silver eyes met his for a second, and he knew instantly that he was being judged, and not for the better. Should I bother to explain it to her? He hadn't quite figured out where to place her in his mind, as either a strict subordinate, or as a personal friend. Without that framing in place, he briefly hesitated before launching into a full stride.

"I'll explain later," said the man, "but after we know what the hell is going on at the command center..."

So much wasted. Artificial Technology, Biological Technology, and everything in between seemed to be well within their grasp. They knew the ease of weapons, and armor. Firing Needles that could punch through armor with relative success. They could power themselves off of the many creatures at their disposal. there was potential within them. Killing all life, would provide little sustinence for those who ate upon prey. The Predator knows that killing all of his food source, would only end his own existence.

Then why?

The Brynadul and their incessant need to genocide systems they come across. Merely feasting upon them as crops, yet didn't seemingly think to farm them. Make subservient Near-humans for which their children can provide those with true strength and power with the continuation of life. Killing our own for heresy or actions or even any sign of weakness. Yes, the strong should be the ones to not just survive, but thrive.

It was a personal crusade to make my kindred brothers and sisters to see that there was so much more to this galaxy than just consuming it all.

Holding the human made shotgun in my hands, a cannon strapped to the back, and a couple pistols with a sword for those who thought about getting too close. I was prepared to fight my kin. I knew many would not accept my sudden enlightenment to our weakness as a race, species, and as a galactic power. They needed to see that the technology, and the humans were worth more to us alive, servants, and pets, than simple dead bodies to feast upon.

Maybe, just maybe I could get one to join me, Not just one, but others as well. What if I could get this group of Jedi to trust me? What about others to aid me in the crusade against my former brothers so that we would thrive above all others?

The sight of a Byrn'dual battlecruiser unnerved Denerian. It was a mass of pure ugly, designed only for war and conquest. It was the embodiment of evil.

As the Ki-Adi-Mundi sliced into real space followed by several Destroyer's and Fleet Carrier along with an assortment of other warships he couldn't help but rralize how serious the thrrat of the Byrn'dual was. Denerian himself last cross legged on the bridge, preparing to initiate Battle Mediation before abruptly changing his mind instead standing and contacting his padawan, who had command of his own warship.

"Tharr, prepare for battle. All ships join General Vurel's barrage. Target the Byrn construction sites and orbital defenses."

Tharr was feeling excited just before the hiper-jump. His first command would most likely define his future missions and taks within the Order.
He would not disapoint his newly apointed master by letting the monsters defeat him.
And then, they jumped.

"Tharr, prepare for battle. All ships join General Vurel's barrage. Target the Byrn construction sites and orbital defenses."

Tharr saw the Byrn'dual battlecruiser. A machine made for destruction, nothing else, and he became a uneasy. The Zabrak was still confident of his skills, but he respected and feared the enemy now.

"You heard the admiral. sound the alarm, all heads to battle positions. This isn-t going to be an easy trip."

HIs officers got themselves ready unter the watchfull eye of Captain Oh, Tharr's military advisor. The pressence of the experienced soldier made him calm down. And he remembered that his master was leading this fleet, so the odds wheren't half that bad.
One by one all stations from his ship, The Scout, reported back to the bridge and finally they where all ready.

"Hail Admiral Denerian"

He waited for a bit until his master answered the call.

"The Scout is ready for battle Master, Sir, awaiting futher orders."

Caedyn Arenais stood within the Hangar of the "The Vagabond" Heavy Cruiser alongside his Padawan Kyra Perl Kyra Perl as the Destroyer shot through hyperspace enroute to the World of Kessel; Reports of Bryn'adul activity had sent alarm bells ringing out down across the line, X-Ray Outpost beginning to see contact and requesting reinforcements. Nearby their ride to the surface was being readied, the troop transport being boarded by several squads of the Antarian Rangers ready to reinforce the Military Base the Order held in place on the ground, the Silver Jedi to be a supporting role in deterring the Bryn'adul from devastating and terraforming the world to their means.

This was to be the second mission that he and Kyra had undertaken in their Apprenticeship together. It was set to be quite a jump from the last experience they'd shared in tackling piracy in Silver Space. From what reports and military intelligence had on the Bryn'adul, suggested that their tenacity for ferocious close quarters focused combat was immense to say the least. They had a heavy war-time presence and like many others had troops ready for all aspects of war, yet they were large and face to face confrontation was something Caedyn himself was very apprehensive about leading his Padawan into. Like any Master would be, he was concerned and reluctant to bring her into a situation where violence was so very likely to be the outcome...

ZhUyygm.png

The Vagabond arrived in the Akkadese Maelstrom overlooking the world of Kessel. Alarms rang across the Heavy Cruiser and issues were ordered across the intercom speakers, the crewman within the hangar all rushed to finish their duties as their Transport engines kicked to life, Caedyn and Kyra being given the go-ahead to board the vessel bound for the surface.

Stepping up onto the deck, the smaller crafts doors closed in behind the pair of them, a loud hiss sounding the doors sealing them in and readying them for space flight, as well as entry into the atmosphere.

"How're you holding up?" He turned to Kyra now that they had a moment to reflect and talk. Previously Caedyn had been busy with the crew aboard the bridge, Kyra being exposed to the fact that Caedyn's position over the Vagabond wasn't simply that of a Passenger but the fact that the Senior Officers and the vessel as a whole operated under his command. Much as the Judiciary did under Veiere.

Their descent down unto the surface of Kessel was mere moments away.

Tathra was already in route to his Gunship when the ship shook. Some of the missiles had been destroyed by the Phedrak Fighters around them, but they'd mostly hit the ghost missiles. His heat jumped in his chest when he heard the all too familiar sound of missiles exploding off the broad-side of the Conquester, the Divine Brutality didn't take long to respond; a moment later its Ballista's were opening fire at the Star Destroyer in orbit. Tathra stopped in his tracks for a moment, raising his gauntlet.

"Stonesinger! Report!"

/A small group of enemy ships have begun to attack us and the Construction site. Our carriers have already scrambled Phedrak Squadrons to engage. We're still whole, Sire/

The Titan's sole response was a lazy groan, sounding more like an offended growl from his gravely deep baritone. Tathra lowered his gauntlet, the Divine Brutality did not need his direction. The Artificers worked as one whole, and would co-ordinate with their Carriers to deal with whatever was in orbit. However Tathra assumed there was a link between whatever disturbance had been felt on the planet and this sudden and bold move. Perhaps the Jedi Knighs wished another opportunity to die.

He raised his gauntlet once again; "Warriors, deploy to the surface. Fear not pain nor death. I, will be with you."

Tathra reached the first deployment hangar. There was Reosyvern, a specialist Brute warrior of the new division. Crossing Ravagers with Special Operations was.. interesting. But the massive Baedurin was known to be effective.

"Syvern! I want you on the ground at the location of the reported technological disturbance. Find out who's hiding from us!"

With that, Tathra entered one of the many Orkale Gunships departing the Conquester alongside several new Heldrak Droships and Dispersal Pods from the two carriers.

Kyra glanced up at Caedyn, trepidation bubbling behind the look she leveled at him.

"..."

Well at least she didn't lie about it this time. If the last few missions had taught her anything, it was that she was most decidedly not ready for her trials. This was as much a balm as it was a stressor. Sure, she still had plenty of time to train and remedy her situation. But she also had to ... train. And try. And fail a lot to do so. Caedyn had insisted field work was the best way to bridge the gap between where her training should be and where she actually was. She had wasted too many lessons goofing off, and now there were more rough bumps to her techniques than there were polished edges.

Some of the basics still hadn't been mastered at all.

It was daunting. But for the first time, she was addressing it. Which was why she did not let a lie pass between her lips as he asked how she was. He'd feel it. If not in the small empathic-based aura of emotions she emitted around her, then in the tendrils of a force bond they had begun to form. She was frightened. Not of getting hurt. Not even for her own life. But of death itself and the concept of failing.

Kyra was growing brash in the assumption that she'd always make it out of tight spots alive, and the idea that today would be any different was as laughable as Acaadi trying to dance to techno. Wasn't happening.

Her fear steamed from seeing death again. Feeling death again.

She rubbed at her goosebumps as they landed and looked away, her attention going to the bodies that lined up and prepared to deploy. Would this dock have less bodies on their return?

"I don't understand," she finally said, her hand griping her saber tightly. "We evacuated this planet. Why come--they could die."

"Cap, we might have a problem here..." Quinn Morre's voice came from atop the peak overlooking the vast 'abandoned' spice mining facility. Watching through the scope of her Chalacta-II anti-matériel rifle, she had spotted movement from afar.

Abbie Parker and Odyn Tarsi exchanged glances as Captain Joshua Harris left them to double-time it to their impromptu Sniper's nest, eventually appearing beside Quinn crawling on his front to get up beside her. "Take a look at this.." She offered him a pair of binos so that he could spot for her.

"Shit, I think we got a scouting party on our hands...-They're too damn close for my liking..." Harris grumbled under his breath; "We need to move, put some distance between us and X-Ray. If they catch wind of us here, it's only a matter of time" Joshua handed the spy-glass back to Quinn before roughly patting her shoulder and drawing back.

Meanwhile Tarlou Losi held a wild glare about her as she seemed fixated on listening through her headset, staring down at the ground. She was crouched behind the cover of debris just a little way from where Odyn and Abbie were positioned, yet even from there Odyn could tell she wasn't pleased with whatever was coming back through the transmission feed.

Before long, a low whistle from Captain Harris called for the groups attention and they all met together ahead of the Outpost's entrance; N'vortau none to happy about being ordered away from the defensive position he had built up around the facilities mouth.

"Tarlou, get on the horn and inform Command we've got Bryn Force's in approach. We're going out to intercept them, try to throw them off from X-Ray. Have Kyule ready the ACAV in case shit goes south".

"That's pretty deep karkin' south, Captain" Odyn remarked pessimistically.

"This ain't basic rook, you're in the shit now" Harris replied before looking back to Quinn, "Take point, eyes on at all times". He then motioned to the rest of the Squad to form up and from there they sought to move low and quick across the land on an intercept path for Kyrim Tenebris Kyrim Tenebris and Adrian L'lerim-Vandiir Adrian L'lerim-Vandiir ' suspected recon party.

Their Transport came down low over the spice mines of Kessel, near skimming across the dunes of the temperate world in order to avoid possible detection from the approaching Bryn'adûl forces, their smaller craft would be piloted to the surface some distance from the hidden Military Outpost; From where they would set down, the pair would make the trek the rest of the way accompanied by the soldiers on-board. There's was not the only vessel to commit to a similar tactic, several others would come down as discretely as could be to reinforce the position with further troops and Antarian Rangers.

"I don't understand, we evacuated this planet.
Why come--they could die
".
His Padawan Kyra Perl Kyra Perl posed a perfectly reasonable question, the Order of the Silver Jedi having evacuated as much of the civilian populace from the World of Kessel as had the Alliance from other worlds in light of the Bryn'adûl's violently growing presence across the Galactic Map. "We're here to protect our own people this time, Padawan" Caedyn informed her as they began to make the journey fourth to Outpost X-Ray, south of the position where Lykos Squad was holed up and reporting enemy activity back to Command. Word that had yet to reach their group.

"We have a number of Military Outposts stationed on numerous worlds, some of them larger and more active than others. They serve as listening posts and intelligence gathering in the case that we start to see signs of war nearing our borders..." Caedyn explained, offering what little he himself knew as he held no position of authority or superiority within the Order unlike his Father had within the Silver Assembly some time ago. He alike his Padawan wasn't privy to all the details..."As you know, there are millions of citizens living within Silver space. All of them rely on us as a means of safe-keeping and security, and in turn the Governments of these worlds help keep us afloat financially while offering further assignments for our Masters and Senior Students".

Caedyn frowned as he looked ahead, his mind reflecting upon what he had learned thus far of the Bryn'adûl; "This group that's landed upon Kessel is a hostile presence, and reports so far have suggested that every place they've set foot upon, they've invaded and attacked. We can't leave our own people exposed to that sense of danger, but we also can't show weakness to the Bryn'adûl who seem so intent on bringing harm upon others. The Order's been evacuating civilians from nearby worlds, but sooner or later the Assembly expects confrontation to break out and if we don't meet strength with strength, they may be encouraged to try to overrun our borders. It's unfortunate, but the hope is this may serve as a deterrent as well as safeguarding our own".

"It's so much bigger than that though..." Caedyn added with a sigh, thinking about the world's already overrun by the Bryn'adûl and those lost in the fighting; "The Galaxy wants justice...-And protecting our own people won't be enough to stop them from targeting other worlds. To be honest with you Kyra, I'm concerned...-Much like the Sith Empire, the Galaxy and we ourselves cannot afford to ignore them".

"What was that?!" The Brute staggered, grabbing onto the spire railing as seemingly handfuls of dozens of missiles crashed throughout the massive construction zone. The Sentinels and Phedrak Fighters compiled with the Bound Debauchers caused some of the missiles to be destroyed in the air, however nearly a hundred or so seemed to have broken through.

Galak raised his gauntlet, speaking into the communication module attached to it. As soon as he was brought into the Bryn'adul Battlenet, his mind was flooded with dozens of reports. Damaged systems, the Servitor awakened and quite angry. Casualties, but also reports of sufficient repelling forces. The Divine Brutality and its convoy were engaging the enemy in the sky.

Perhaps the disturbance had been a distress call from a hidden enemy? Mere coincidences like these were unlikely. The Emissary had to get their forces in one piece; though to none's surprise the Brutes of the 10th Regiment revelled in the warfare, they were ready. All hundred and twenty had taken shelter in their drop ships when the Missiles, came and all of them were ready for a fight.

"My brethren! Prepare to crush some alien scum into the dirt! They love their orbital bombardment but they won't last long against the Divine! All infantry, prepare for combat! Shamans, release the beasts!"

Next Galak switched channels, contacting the Shards flying on patrol. In particular, Tenebris. A Zealot he could at least trust.

"Kyrim. I think we're about to be attacked, I want your Shard patrols to sweep the Super-Constructs immediate vicinity. Open fire on anything that isn't ours."

Throughout their boring flight, Kyrim mentally questioned the idea of spice. What was its purpose, other than tasting weird and why did the weak love it so much? Before moving on to the next mission, he promised himself that he would take a sample and send it back to Draemidus Prime for analysis by the aerevallin scientists.

These surprisingly peaceful thoughts were quickly interrupted by an incoming alert. New orders from the Emissary Galak. Continue their recon but sweep around and destroy anything that was not theirs if within immediate vicinity. But Kyrim would be the one deciding how close was too close. That much he was allowed.

Even before the words had left his mouth, one of the aerevalin gleefully started giving a report. "We've got movement on the ground, heading towards us" Then one of the baedurin piped up and throatily exclaimed about what seemed like a single female was standing atop a slight ridge to the south-east.

The orders were well-timed, but would never beat an unplanned encounter in thrill. Rhivak Squad was competent one, and as with every single one of their brethren, war was something that they relished.

With the command out of his mouth, he and the baedurin who had spotted the lone figure swerved to the left and began to take potshots at her, sending burning plasma in calculated arcs towards the enemy. As the arcs started hitting close to the figure, the baedurin started flying too close for Kyrim's comfort, forcing Kyrim to respond and mentally push the craft back into position, fighting ever-so-much against the manipulation of the female on the ground. The only thing that could possibly be used as rationale to explain this would be an autocorrect system in the ships as Kyrim was a Force Void and as minuscule in the force as the baedurin, who was not Force Sensitive in the slightest, beside him. It would take hard proof to pinpoint the movement on Kyrim, especially from an outsider. Hard proof which he was willing to offer, especially with there being another Force Sensitive being nearby, a more worthy target.

The Force Void and the baedurin zealot, zooming in towards a target for sheer sport while the young zealot Reidun would become blooded and earn her permanent spot in Rhivak. And if she failed to survive the attack then she would be dead, and the Bryn'adûl will have lost a weak zealot. Kyrim hoped she was strong, for her attitude covered a young baedurin who could ascend to greatness. She just needed to fight.

They had spotted her.

Her manipulations were making an impact, but only enough so to make their aim a bit off. It hadn't been as if she'd fully expected to bring the two ships into contact with each other. That had just been her desire. Putting their aim off was good enough for the moment as it kept them focused on her, but kept her from having to move out of the way. It also drew them into the field of boulders that had been lying between them. Sometimes you need only wait and what you wanted would come to you. This was one of those occasions. She was fully aware she was going to end up having to fight these beasts herself, but that was quite alright. Better her than someone else.

"Hunter One, bring him out and begin moving towards the enemy position while keeping the ridgeline between you and them," she commanded through her commlink.

"Confirmed."

Behind her position, the Hunters began moving. They blended in well with the environment of Kessel, which hadn't been intentional but was welcomed. The second container that they'd brought with them was opened and a giant hand reached out, followed by another as the Monsterjäger pulled himself free of the confinement of his drop container. She'd only brought one because she hadn't wanted to call too much attention to herself and because they were quite expensive and she didn't want to lose several of them if they ended up facing off with numerous large beasts that the Bryn'adul could field. They'd only figured that one large worm was present but that didn't mean that there weren't others lurking.

The droids moved off, which left her alone with her foes. They continued towards her, their fire coming ever closer, but she lifted both of her hands towards them again, preparing herself. Two of the greater boulders shifted in anticipation as the two ships approached her position. With exertion she yelled and lifted both of the great boulders straight up from below, intending to catch the ships directly as they passed over them so they couldn't slice through, but would hopefully get smashed off course and brought to the ground where she could face whatever was inside of them on her own terms.

No more fighting from the sky. They could fight face to face.

The elevator grinded to a halt as a rumble shook through the Super-Construct. It was all too familiar, he recalled the warhead bombardment at Kesh. Not a pleasant memory. Though once a few moments had passed, the elevator started moving again. A few moments passed as it began moving downward again. He felt trapped, concealed from reality in this tiny stone cylinder.

Even as the force flowed through everything around them; it was still suffocating for the short time he was withheld from movement. When the door opened into the Shaman chamber; Drek'ma heard the tail end of the Emissaries command. The majority of them were already up and preparing. No doubt the missiles had put everyone on alert.

Drek'ma stepped out of the elevator, watching with his typically unblinking gaze as he looked about the several dozens of Shamans of varying rank within their chambers.

"Prepare our beasts! I want the full garrison at our Emissaries command, focus the Sentinels on the ships in the air and have the Debauchers find anything hidden through technological means. I will assist in our neighbouring skies."

Drek'ma turned his attention away from the others and to the Ra'maks with the Carrier directly above the Construct. His mind shifted, some of the Shards had engaged an enemy. Two of the Ra'maks would assist.

Forces: A good few Baedurin infantry setting up a perimeter around the drop Pod used to get to the planet.

Reosyvern's strides were fast and purposeful, his armor plated body clacking as the boney plates clattered against each other, his large tail lethargically swaying in a drawn out wave. He had been summoned to Tathra Khaeus Tathra Khaeus 's presence and the dutiful Baedurin Mutant would heed the call.

It was just as he arrived that Tathra barked his orders to Reosyvern, "It will be done."His voice rumbled out in a clicking, doubled tone, as the odd gills on his neck flexed with each word. As a mutant there were several operational differences from the standard Baedurin line, but also his physical appearance had been altered by the genetic mutations that he possessed.

Reosyvern watched as the patriarch of the Bryn marched off to his vessel. His multi-eyed head turned and then resumed his purposefully marching. His head tilted upwards, his large jaw opening as he let out a roar. The voice began deep and then broke into a higher pitch, the doubled tone harmonizing with each other in an unnerving way. At this call several low ranking Baedurin turned their heads to see their much larger superior, they grabbed their gear, and then formed up around Reosyvern. "The Chieftain has tasked me to solve the disturbance on the planet. You will aid me in my mission by securing the our landing site. Go."

At his final word the Baedurin lumbered off quickly to gather whoever they thought would help fill out the Heldrak Dispersal Pod that awaited them. After the time passed Reosyvern watched the group of thirty Baedurin enter the pod. It would have to do. One of the Baedurin offered Reosyvern a commlink and a holographic map of the planet. Reosyvern pointed towards a location known only as the 'technological disturbance', though known to the natives as Outpost X-Ray.

The dispersal pod left, joining the rest of the drop ships and vessels heading planet-side. The Dispersal Pods boasted an extremely durable exterior, though little to no offensive capabilities. Those within knew they would reach the ground in relative safety, but that was the only guarantee they had.

The pod roared through the atmosphere, a bright comet-like form that rocketed towards Odyn Tarsi 's general location. The roar of re-entry was unmistakable and easily heard from a great distance away. Then the pod made contact with the ground causing a great cloud of dust and pulverized rock to explode into the air a hundred meters, give or take, from Odyn Tarsi.

He may be able to see Bryn heavy infantry forming a perimeter around the vessel, funneling out from multiple orifices of the organic drop pod. If he was observing them, he'd notice a much larger and much more reptilian Bryn exit the ship last. The being was covered from head to toe in what appeared to be bone-white organic plates, most likely attached directly to the flesh. That being then dropped to all-fours and lunged towards X-Ray and those (Caedyn Arenais , Amani Serys Amani Serys , etc.) who would be within. Each lunge covered a handful of meters and within seconds Reosyvern would be out of sight of the sniper.

They had landed off to the side, as not to reveal the hidden underbunker of an outpost. But they were all the Bryn could see, and so they were who Reosyvern Reosyvern ran towards.
Frighteningly fast, Kyra was left with no time for words as the creature sought to overwhelm them before they could fully unload.

At that moment, the hidden mouth of the bunker opened, and what reinforcements had been laid in waiting started to pour out. Men and tech alike sought to dot the other side of this now battlefield, creating a pincher of sjo men on both sides of the intruders. But that hardly helped Kyra, For Reosyvern Reosyvern was running towards them.

She gasped, unable to stop herself from taking a step back further into the ship. Acaadi would have already drawn his saber and ran forward, but Kyra couldn't help that spark of fear that went shying back as the speed of the white creature was realized.

Guess the battle was started. She pulled her saber, a flickering glance shot up to Caedyn. He was worried? She was worried. But there was no turning back now. For the first time in their apprenticeship, he would feel her reach out on her own, her mind seeking his.

Help her.

Seemed she was finally keen on that new training method of his. Her fear of death was evident, the padawan finally taking things seriously.

"What do we do?"

More troops were mobilizing. Apparently whatever Bryn forces they were concerned with were quickly becoming an immediate problem. Amani stopped in her tracks and slowed her breath for a moment.

Curse you moral compass.

No more running. Part of being a Jedi was taking control of one’s fears. She couldn’t hide while others risked their lives. Amani turned on her heel and trailed behind a group of soldiers to their destination. She rounded the corner and skidded to a halt as she saw the hidden entrance open… and something very big very quickly running towards the direction of the base. Reosyvern Reosyvern would see the sudden mounted defense, and a small green padawan looking like a deer in headlights, caught in the middle of it. Amani gripped the hilt of her saber tightly, holding it up without having yet ignited it. No backing out now.

"What do we do?".
As the words left his Padawan, Caedyn's right hand was already reaching across his midsection for the hilt of his Force Imbued Blade drawing the sword from it's sheath with every intention of defending themselves. "Remember our training, Kyra, you can do this" his response was quick as he moved to drive himself forward with a Force propelled leap to put distance between himself and the two Padawan, Kyra as well as Amani Serys so that the Bryn'adûl would be forced to engage him first and they would have the time to steel themselves.

Whatever their dropship was made out of, it looked like some sort of amphibian creature, the thing of nightmares or something that lived in the depths of an ocean. From out of it, the Bryn'adûl heavy infantry had come and among them was a significantly larger one whom seemed to be in the lead of the attack. Reosyvern Reosyvern was easily pegged as the largest threat among their forces and so that's who Caedyn would seek to take on.

Despite the horrific scene, Kyra Perl Kyra Perl would sense an unusual sort of emotional distance within her Master from the immediate situation; The Jedi Knight seemingly pushing his emotions to the back of his consciousness and relying not upon mind but his instincts while the Force flowed to him and influenced his strength, stamina and form.

He landed some few meters away from the Bryn'adûl, his steps light and moving swiftly to continue to rush forward, the Force Imbued Sword being drawn back over his right shoulder, both hands tightly gripping the hilt as the two sides came clashing against one another.

The trio arrived in the command center just as the orbital strike occurred against the Bryn'adul's base. Murmurs from another section announced that the Echani queen and her droids were in the process of starting an engagement with an enemy, even as a squad of Antarian Rangers appeared to be approaching the enemy's base, though they were now moving towards their CAV. The admiral crossed his arms, causing Sariya to perk up.

"You don't like this, do you?"

The wookiee offered a growl in support.

"I can't say I like the Bryn'adul in general," said the blonde man , taking a brief step backwards, "but I definitely do not like them riled up. Now that they know we're here, it's only a matter of time before we are in a pitched battle."

The echani woman nodded, "That's probably true."

The man briefly looked around the room, "This place would be great defense against most enemies, but I'm not sure if it will be against the Bryn'adul. They supposedly employ burrowing worms."

"And facing them outside is any better?"

"We at least have air support."

She shrugged, "And so?"

The man stared at the holo-map briefly, "I think the answer is obvious. We start moving outside with a group of the Kwookrrr warriors. We can either move to cover the movement of that advance squad of Antarian Rangers, maybe even reinforce them to take the base, or we can aid Queen Raste in her fight."

"Or something else could happen."

Gir nodded in agreement, "War is unpredictable."

"Time to go then."

Gir turned to the wookiee, but the sergeant was already uttering into his comlink to mobilize his troops. The trio began walk out to join the troops and exit the base.
