She’s a big’un… Again, Lira beat him to the proverbial punch. Connel was a little more tactful in his headnod, but he did not hold it against her. She was more amused than annoyed by her bluntness. He appreciated her directness, even if it occasionally disrupted the flow of conversation. Their dynamic was one of mutual respect, with each bringing a unique perspective to the table, which often led to productive and insightful exchanges.

Connel was busy measuring the height difference between the matron and Matsu for only Lira to see, and giggle at.

You have quite a society. He was not going to be negative and mention the potential for invaders. Now was not the time.

The woman seemed to laugh with that and she looked down. Seeing buster with a tilt of her head that was more curious before she looked at Connel. "Thank you, we have tried to live how we once did but legends are difficult, the jedi who taught us gave advice and direction but we do not have more then their views of the order. You are not like they described." Matsu looked at the woman and gave a nod of her head. "A lot has changed among the jedi and if hey were from the pius dea era there is a lot that has changed." She said it but was floating around as she took in more. "BUt we are happy to see things here, when I felt the world I had not been expecting anyone to be here so this is a great rediscovery."

Buster sneezed as he happily looked around. This was a place that had not seen “society” in “quite a long time”. They were their own, and literally a living breathing testimonial to the past, it was a historian’s dream if they looked in the right places. They had living proof of how life was at the time. The remnants of the past were preserved in the architecture, tools, and even the air of the place. Lira marveled at how this sanctuary offered a rare glimpse into a bygone era, providing invaluable insights for those eager to understand history's unfiltered narrative and its enduring impact. Buster was just as happy with the treat that she gave him.

Are you open to Jedi of today coming here and examining your society? He was trying to be polite and civil, but Connel could not keep from the threat analysis he lived by.

It was a good question and Matsu was looking at them as the woman spoke and her laugh was deep. From the chest. "I don't know how to answer that, I don't know the difference and the other matrons are unlikely to as well. We like to reach a consensus when there is a gathering." She said it and was looking at them but motioned for them to be able to come. Tables spread out with some food, different khaevor moving around and there were small differences but their sizes were more obvious. "How many others are there?" Matsu asked it with a shrug. "There are twelve and that is including myself. Across the planet and within the caves." She said it and Matsu raised an eyebrow as she spoke. "Twelve, interesting." She mostly motioned for Connel. "Older versions of the jedi order would have twelve councils for various purposes with the head forming the grand council. THe jedi influences might have ran a little deeper then just the light." She tapped her chin and there was plenty to explore and observe but also learn.

Connel didn’t respond immediately, his gaze lingering on the diverse assembly. He did not want to cause a problem or negate any progress made by Matsu, just that the times had changed and unfortunately so had the jedi for the most part. This was a society that was, in his eyes, more and more in need of being left alone. They are perfect and happy the way that they are. Sure, there is something to watching and learning about how they have evolved, but there is also something to be said for letting them live their lives without interference. To bring them out into the open would change them for the worse.

That would, to him, be the epitome of selfish behavior, even if well intentioned.

She was thinking about it but spoke moving more. "What are you thinking?" She asked it looking at Connel and Lira. "There is a good amount here, allies, true potential allies are rare you know that. How many worlds seem friendly today and tomorrow will have new leaders overnight that want to reverse everything?" She said it but was looking at it as she brought her legs up to sit there and hover like she was meditating in a circle. "Hmm." She said it but was looking at the bunny-cat with some of them as it seemed to be following the kyberrite markings on their bodies... being able to take in the look of them with a small smile on its face as they fed it... bribery with food was the best way after all to anyones heart. "Bringing padawans here instead of Ilum that everyone knows its location now would be safer."

Connel and Lira looked at each other with a silent understanding for a moment, they had not debated the issue themselves but were clearly on the same page. Master Ike was clearly good intentioned, and would not harm these people in any way if she could help it. However the same could not be said for others, even if unwittingly. Master Ike… these people have lived untouched for however long they have been here. Do they really need to be exposed to the outside galaxy? Or do we really need it?

They’re walking history books, yeah, but is that their fault? Is it anyone’s?

If you want to do gatherings here, then few should know the location of this place, only those most trusted. That is a poor choice of words, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

There was no judgment on his part, either of them, but she did ask.

She gave him a nod while she was thinking about it. "I am not sure." Largely with all of it, she knew there was a danger and they didn't need to throw them at the galaxy though she was thinking about the planeshift and all the worlds that had been flung around and it had exposed some worlds and changed others. "The world is here, others can find it and even with all of my knowledge moving planets is still beyond my capabilities." She said it as she was tapping her chin and tapping for a moment. "But trusted people with the location would be good. These guardians on the world might need more research. If they are like the ardana I found it means they have a controller or something able to awaken them. There are some other devices and constructs like that across the galaxy." SHe thought about it though and ones whom she would trust with such a location. "I trust the matrons, and you two... and buster."

Buster of course heard his name, perked up and looked around happily, his tail going a sector a parsec. Just saying that we risk doing them harm in trying to help them.

Like they would be tainted by repeated exposure to other cultures coming to see them.

Yeah, they run the risk of losing pieces of themselves if that makes sense. This could happen if their unique traditions or values are overshadowed by external influences, leading to a loss of cultural identity. It is crucial to approach such interactions with care, ensuring respect for their autonomy and minimizing the risk of unintentionally eroding their heritage or way of life. This risk is particularly significant when external groups impose their norms or exploit the community for profit. To prevent this, interactions should prioritize mutual learning, where both sides exchange knowledge without one dominating the other, preserving the integrity of the community's cultural essence while fostering respectful engagement.

SHe looked at him. "It does and I have no intention of trying to lose what makes them different... THough I am not sure what that is yet. We don't know anything major about them yet... or how these guardians will respond if there are people here. So If you could we should make sure the coordinates are protected. Maybe bring someone who can be trusted but I do not know many jedi in the high republic and Romi while she is around usually only comes to me when she needs me to build her another station she sadly will never use." She looked though and turned her head down to Buster with a nod. "Though you seem to not be tense so for the moment at least things seem to be going well."

Buster just looked up, happy to be acknowledged. Connel meanwhile spoke into his comm-link. [Hey BRAD, could you do me a favor and lock the coordinates of this place into the secure server back home?]

BRAD’s response was quick and simple. [Boop BEEP! - [Translation- Sure thing! Will be done in just a moment.]]

[Thanks buddy.] My cousin Michael could be trusted.

Michael? You mean the short little sweetheart that flies like a Hawkbat out of Mustafar?

”Sweetheart”? He looked at her as Lira just grinned triumphantly.

You’re so cute when you’re jealous.

Smirking and turning away. Anyway… Romi Jade has been through… a lot… and this was the last time I had seen her, which was some time ago. I don’t know if she would be one to be involved. Ala Quin would, but she has enough on her plate. Thurion Heavenshield definitely… but I don’t want to ask because he has responsibilities as well. There were probably a few more but he did not want to mention them. There was no shade to be thrown, everyone had their own path to walk and deserved that respect.

There were also some who would look at this planet for strategic purposes, as good a people as they are, they could not be considered. He felt ashamed to think about how the Jedi as a whole had changed.

She gave him a nod to that. She knew Thurion could always be relied on and Ala. "Whose Ala?" She asked it with a look more but didn't deny it, if Connel thought they were good then she wasn't going to say no. They would be able to do a lot more though... and a lot less. Securing it while she knew where they were. "The benefit is most don't travel to the edge of the unknown regions let alone the edge of the galaxy itself." She was thinking about it. "I can think of one or two others, The coorrdinates being locked away and secured will be important and with the location not near anything we'll at least have something unless there is a massive push into the unkown regions."

As Lira gave Buster some attention, throwing treats to the Bunnycat too, Connel answered her. Ala Quin Ala Quin . She’s the Grandmaster of The Jedi Order. Her and my father were close like brother and sister for nigh over nine hundred years, so where Thurion’s decree about my father being a “brother” to him and made him my “uncle”, Ala was always Caltin’s “little sister” even when she didn’t need it which if you ever asked him, was when she stopped wearing a pendant… long story… she is my “aunt”. There was a flash of appreciation in Connel’s eyes as he was able to say that without stumbling nervously, but there was still reticence.

She would probably help, but I think it would be a heavy load right now, not because she couldn’t handle it, very much so… but there is a lot on the Order’s plate.

I have access to ships, just like I know you do..

She listened and gave him a nod of her head. "And I thought I had a large family... I do, the Ike clan as I learned spans nearly seventy worlds, clan offshoots and splinters and on Atrisia alone has several million but you always have a new family member when I turn around." She said it but had a grin for the humor of it. "Though the High Republic's jedi do have a lot on their plate. I saw the expo and it was quite a showing." She said it and didn't comment either way, most on display had been frrom companies outside of the High Republic and they didn't give much inpur on any of it... at least the ginkie bustin had gone over well... riding a gonk into play battles is important.

You must have amazing birthday parties and family gatherings. I just have me and my parents… and will my boytoy here. She grins as Connel walks over and slips out a little black box from his pocket, opening it to reveal a stunning diamond ring. Stunned, she just covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes.

I’ve been wanting to for a while now… I don’t really know how to ask you right now… I just… I want to be… I want to be better… and you… I … I wish I was better at this…

YES! Jumping into his arms and wrapping hers around his neck, after a few moments of kissing she pulls back to look at him and then Matsu and the others. Sorry… heh…

I’m not. Standing up as Lira was just all too happy, Buster doing a little dance as he jumped up and down.

Forgive the interruption… this seemed like the right place… everything just seemed right.

Ohhh it was… Lira starts getting her mom on the holo showing her ring.

She was about to answer and then... oh my. Good thing she had a force enhanced memory that kept knowledge of everything that she saw... this would have been a hard moment to capture and now she was already preparing for the day they tell their children about it. 'We proposed on an ice world surrounded by females on the edge of the galaxy while exploring.' She waas saying it to herself but snickered a little with a small clap of her hands. "Congratulations both of you." SHe was looking at it though and the bunny-cat was on the table with more fruit and there was some meat as she looked at buster but was holding a hand up to form between her palms a steaming hot rib bone covered in meaat and the size of a smaller rancor. "If they are happy you might want something as well."

It’s just… I knew I wanted to, but I didn’t know how… and this place… it gives me hope that there is a life… a galaxy worth fighting for… hope… She just looked at him while running fingers through his hair as if to straighten them and fix his collar.

Buster just happily trotted up, oversized bone in his mouth and plopped down at their feet, just happy to be here.

"And I am glad you have as well." A thought came to her and she brought a hand up as she focused on it.. the palm of her head showing blue energies while she was speaking. "I think I might have an idea, a small middle ground." She said it while sending a message. "Wandering Mountain." She knew many of the masters she had recalled from around the galaxies and there was more from them. "One who I know would be good for this place is sadly lost. the Sarzana may need you and your team to aid in finding them. They went missing on a mission to the vong's galaxy.

It took him a minute to understand what she was asking, but once he pieced it all together things started to make more sense. So, we go to the Vong galaxy…

It wasn’t completely thought through, sure, but there was never a thing with him. It was the “Vanagor” in Connel, his father made it a tactic. He had always leaned on that legacy when making bold moves, even if they seemed impulsive. The Vong galaxy was uncharted territory, but it held potential for discovery and advantage. His instinct told him this could be a pivotal step, despite the risks involved.

She gave him a look. "Not right now, not today though travel there is much easier with our hyperdrives and gates. I am speaking for something later likely after all of this and a few other things. AA venture to the vong's home galaxy is not something for a whim there are dangers there many are not ready to face." She said it and shook her head. she waas mentioning it not preparing it. SHe was going to spend a lot to get Wandering Mountain here but he would be able to help them in a lot of ways... also there was a benefit aas he would fit right in with the other mountains and ardana sized things. "I'll have a plan by the time we get outside it might not look like it but I think I know what we can do."
