What else really was there to talk about here. The populace knew they were coming, were not out to harm them, or rally anyone. It was something that was worth exploring, but at this point was there really a point to standing around here and talking more about egg hatching?

Alright… so… what’s next? As far as Connel was concerned, they could be well enough left alone, but the Force brought him here, and Lira had the curiosity of a baby Nexu.

She looked at Connel and was moving as going back outside there was something she hadn't seen before. Crystalline with inflated bladders. The jedi master moved around it and was going over it in her mind. "Kyberite frame with air bladders so it can go over terrain quietly." She said it like a question as the two went into it and bowed. "Please come, we can explain more. The matrons sensed you here and sent us. This far out and close to one of the guardian beasts." Matsu moved to sit in there as she had the bunny-caat and gave it a small look. "Guardian beasts?" The question was there as the one spoke. "Oh yes, there are four on the planet, they protect it from dangerous elements and are large enough to lift a mountain."

Connel could see where this was going, and he did not like it. He had been trying to keep his head down, but the thought of what they were talking about was making his skin crawl. “Guardian Beasts”? Sure, they were no doubt powerful, and he had no doubt that they could be useful in protection… but…

When was the last time they had eaten? As Buster knew that word, he was expecting a treat and nudged Connel’s hand with his nose, the Shadow pulled one out and fed him as Lira was a bit concerned as well. Nothing personal, but I’m not putting him in even nominal danger.

There seemed to be some debate. "The closest one to here ate this morning. It lives under the ice and there are large fish under there. The mountain that walks doesn't eat as far as we know and the flying beast can eats large creatures that come from the sky." Matsu was listening and she looked at connel with a shrug. "The leviathan is the sea I am guessing for now and we might be too small if this flying one goes after space flying insects. Could be grunchin or colossal wasps either way we are tiny compared to them." She thought about it though and looked at them. "What about the fourth one?" There was a look. "The fourth one was destroyed when something happened. The planet moved one day, the star no longer our own and the guardian beast of the moon was lost."

”’Moved?’ ‘Destroyed?’ When did this happen?”

Connel clearly agreed with this question. He was still trying to figure out why they were there. This was not simply a tour, that was not Matsu’s style, no there was something else to all of this and while it was not due to a lack of trust, he wanted to know why. Perhaps this might partially be why they were here, to investigate.

She looked at Connel and spoke while her hand was moving more. The vehicle they had brought softly moving over the kyberite fields now. "The planet moved, we did see the celestial event as the planescape." She said it and it had been an interesting shift... some worlds were in entirely different places and the borders within the galaxy had drastically changed. "It was easier to chart the shifts herre cause we had models of how the worlds had been but facinating." She tapped her chin while being there. "There could be other planets from other galaxies shifted throughout. This could seed entire species across multiple galaxies and have diverging evolutionary lines. It is a fascinating possibility to monitor and a geometric leap for the understanding of evolutionary biology across entire galaxies as opposed to just a handful of planets."

Connel was often one who was intrigued by scientific thought when it came to the Force. Not that he was some science nerd, but he was always curious about the unknown. This was not one of those times. This was one of those times where he wanted to throw his hands out and look up at the sky and yell “why am I here?” However decorum did not call for that.

He was not the only one. ”’Jedi Science Class’, great.” The smirk on her face was proof positive that she was clearly only teasing, but there is always a hint of truth in jest. She was not going to hold anything back, but this was clearly something she was not going to be able to keep up with.

Connel just rubbed his eyes and sighed, trying not to laugh, but he had trouble with meditating, this was “meditating cubed” to him.

She looked at Connel and Lira with a small look. "Well yes, this is something we should be excited about. If there are worlds throughout galaxies like this aligned with the lightside it could hint towards something larger. Worlds like Korriban and the sith worlds became beacons of the darkside through conquest and death, there is a balance in this galaxy. Imagine a galaxy where lightside worlds might have flourished and are untouched. I'll have to make some notes when I return to the temple. We have a whole new goal in mind and if we can expand on it or understand it. This could go a long way towards restoring worlds corrupted by the darkside. Imagine being able to clean Lake Naath finally or therapy to the genes to try and return sithspawn to what they once were not violently but it would take time."

Lira understood the look, but didn’t back down entirely. ”’Didn’t mean to offend, but this is not what I imagined Jedi to be.”

Connel just finished rubbing his eyes and sighed again. I’m with her on this one. Don’t get me wrong, I know what you are saying and understand it, but does this not run the risk of replacing one form of tyranny with another? He tilted his head.

Not tyranny in the sense of oppression, but tyranny in the sense of control. Not to mention a lost sense of purpose, and suppression in the name of order? He was not trying to be confrontational, but he was looking at this from a philosophical standpoint. I don’t want to look at anyone in a judgmental fashion, but I can’t help but feel that this is not what the Jedi are meant to be. Should we not be about “balance”?

Matsu looked at him and raised an eyebrow but she didn't rebuff him or argue it. "You are not wrong though balance can mean many things. In some cases some would want light and dark but we also know the darkside is a corruption of the natural. Some worlds like Dxun can evolve naturally with the predators that ware there but it also had the dangerous of the sith tombs that were on the world." She said it but tapped her chin for a moment. "And from some of the things I have seen there are some things more questionable. A number of other things in the galaxy bring questions. For as much as they seem to talk the jedi orders barely seem to try and study or dissipate the blackwall. Studies into more lightside applications and places could aid in trying to solve a problem that isolates worlds.

Now it was Connel’s turn to give her a look.With all due respect, don’t look at me like that. You know what my motivations are, and you know that I am not going to go against my own code of ethics, let alone our beliefs. He put his hands on his hips.

You also know that I will speak my mind, if I see something that bothers me I need to say something. Otherwise I’ll never look myself in the mirror.

NOW, who was he starting to sound like?

All I am saying is that if there is too much of one thing or side,... what do they say about “absolute power”?

"There there is always one stronger." She said it more in amusement to him but nodded her agreement and she respected his speaking his mind. "The danger of something being absolute is always there and with few exceptions anyone I would trust with that much power and that includes myself." She shrugged as the vehicle they were in was slowing and the two were there as they bowed. "We are here." They spoke and the jedi master turned her head to look as the mountain was there for a moment but then she could make it out. "Well that explains a few things." She was looking at it and glided out moving to the side to find it. "It is harder to make out but the mountain is in the ice. Without knowing where to look most would like fly right over it."

She gave him a look while she moved towards it and stayed over his shoulder as her hand came out. "See the mountain? They carved into it so from any other angle it will look like the mountain is all that is there. It is smart, from most sides you see a large mountain, and if you notice the oblong shapes the mind will register it as mountain. There is no banners, no moving parts. Most species their brains first react to movement to alert them. There is no smoke visible so sensors wouldn't be able to pick it up and no motion means scans for movement, thermal from space would like pass right over. It is minimalistic in ways but smartly made."

Enough of the looks already! As he looked, he let himself calm down. While he did not appreciate the situation, he did blink at what he saw. Even Lira walked over and looked as well, she was a little less patient and did not really see it, but she knew Connel was frustrated, probably because he was feeling protective of her. While it made her feel bad, she knew he wanted her here too, so it was a good quandary to have. Buster of course was just happy to be here.

She looked at him as she was moving but followed as the one who took them forward gave more information. THeir voices coming aas there were others around. "The Khaevor are represented by five, we are the veilborn, seekers and speaakers. The Matrons rule and blood braid protect. The cantor forresse and the stormborn live." She said it and Matsu waas looking at the different ones. THeir sizes were built but the glowing tattoos were what she could see and she observed it more on some of them. "Hmmm kyberite marking... decorative? No." SHe looked at Connel and Lira while they were going but she could see the larger warriors and their hair was thicker braids. The ways into the area revealing falls of some people but also smaller crystal pets, moles and birds adapted to the cold. "When we left our ancient home we traveled and found this world now we just live and try to do as we were taught."

Matsu gave a nod as going through it. the veilborn speaking. "It is in many ways, when we are born we are sometimes better are different things. I lack the muscle mass to protect for longer periods of time. We are not forced, there are plenty who do other things and the stormborn are from different parents. It makes their connection to the force chaotic but are beliefs are in preserving the heart of our world. We have seen destruction of our homeworld before and it is known we do not wish such a thing again but we have no ships. THey were turned into cities long ago, we have no arrmies the world itself is peaceful and we live off of the crystals on the planet."

It sounds like a utopia. Connel nodded as Lira beat him to the proverbial punch. It was an amazing place really, and now that he was getting a better understanding it was making more sense as to why Master Ike wanted to come here. It’s sad that he basically proved that sentients often attack that which they fear or don’t understand. .

Aside from us, how are you on visitors? He would not want them to be found out by those who would wish to destroy their society.

"We have not received any since long ago." The voice came as they entered the inner room. The chamber filled with several as Matsu looked up. "She is big." SHe said it and the veilborn were moving. "THe iron Matron." The woman rose up as it was a small trick when she approached and stepped through a small threading of crystal lens. She was big like Caltin, broad shouldered, her torso making Matsu look like the smallest one there but the crystal lenses had worked like a magnifying glass. Making her appear twice the size. She offered a warm smile though. "When the stars changed we could feel more people out there but since the pius dea you are the first to come here."
