STRENGTHS
- + Strong Dark Side Connection - As a Nightsister Vytal grew up bathed in the Dark Side of Dathomir. She learned to embrace it without becoming consumed by it; it is as much a part of her as any limb.
- + Power of Compulsion - A particular 'Force' art she spent years developing on Dathomir. Using ichor as a focus Vytal touches a person's head and can compel most to do as she says. Her exposure to outsiders is limited, so she arrogantly assumes it works on everyone, but eventually she'll come across someone that spent time honing their mental defenses enough to resist.
- + Ritual Magic - Multiple Nightsisters can focus on bolstering the strength of Dark Side energy used collectively or by an individual. This results in a far stronger reaction than that one person alone could manage, or in accomplishing feats few have ever born witness to before (such as the dead rising).
- + Adaptive - Vytal strongly believes in her people, but has chosen to step outside the familiar to become even stronger. She is willing and able to do whatever a situation calls for to accomplish her objectives.
- + Driven - Or bullheaded depending on your point of view, Vytal may regroup for a time, but does not surrender. The truly worth while secrets of the galaxy do not give themselves up easily.
- + Loyal - To the select few worthy of her loyalty, no one and nothing is more important. A good way to find out the depth of a Nightsister/Fate's rage is to threaten harm to someone Vytal cares for.
- - Superiority Complex - Dathomiri Women (specifically the Nightsisters) are the strongest and wisest when it comes to the Dark Side. Everyone else wastes their time fighting for scraps of land, gaining just enough power to find a comfortable spot to die. Vytal is out in the galaxy ensuring her kind does not fall prey to the same mistake.
- - Overconfident - Dathomir's relative isolation has kept Vytal and the other Sisters from experiencing the complexities and dangers throughout the galaxy. As a result she may mistakenly believe herself to possess sound footing when nothing could be further from the truth. After all, she did grow up on the same planet as rancors -- what beasts could possibly be worse?
- - Protective - If you threaten harm to someone Vytal cares for she will drop everything in order to protect them. If it came down to saving a planet or saving someone important to her, she'd chose the latter every time.
- - Ruthless - It doesn't matter how important someone is, how innocent they are, or whether they mistakenly believed Vytal was on their side; she will do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Vytal stands five feet eleven inches tall with almost bone-white skin. The Fates of Midnight seek to stay true to their heritage, but have adopted aesthetics of offworlders to better blend in. Consequentially, black facial tattoos adorn her face and extend over the top of her head beneath the white hair grown out since leaving Dathomir.
She also has traded Nightsister garb for that of slightly revealing, form-fitting material. Slivers of belly, upper arm, and upper legs can be seen between the various pieces of her black outfit. A cape flows from both her shoulders and waist, the material thin yet durable to withstand physical altercations. Gold bands or circuit-like shapes line the forearm globes and thigh-high boots, severing to warn people not to fall back on what they believe to know of the Nightsisters among them.

BIOGRAPHY
In The Beginning...
As a Nightsister of Dathomir, Vytal's drive toward self-improvement was commendable by her mentors. She was outspoken and fought to elevate the sisters around her to their potential; not to attract notice, but to bolster the clan's overall strength.
As Vytal grew older she became aware of increased offworld presence on Dathomir. The existance of other races and planets was no surprise, but their impact on the planet for better or worse did not go unnoticed. Even whispers of others able to use the so-called 'Force' reached the young Nightsister's ear. This strange knowledge and the technology used by these other species were dangerously foreign, but she was confident it could be harnessed for the clan.
Whenever she possible, Vytal scouted the far reaches of the planet in search of contact with the offworlders. In time, after amassing a first-hand understanding off several creatures or groups, she presented new ideas to her elders. Her overconfidence that such ideas would be embraced blinded the young Dathomiri woman to the possibility of backlash. Fortunately, none questioned the 'foolish notions' of a young Nightsister; educational 'correction' was expected to set Vytal straight. However, Vytal's commitment to learning more of the offworlders only deepened as a result of their efforts.
Several years passed as she slowly found other Nightsisters that believed or came to believe in the benefits of the offworld knowledge and technology. It could be used to benefit their world, not destroy it as the Traditionalists saw it. Banded together, their small group lay siege to a rare vessel that had come to pilage their world led there by rumor, tall tale, and blind luck. Using their magic to influence the Captain of the ship, their number soon flung themselves into the stars.
The Five Sisters that left everything they knew behind soon found themselves thrust into a far more foreign world than they expected. What danger lurked in the shadows were not monsters they'd spent their lives hunting, but creatures of deception and betrayal. After several close calls, however, Vytal was able to take command of a local, small underworld organization and establish a stronghold to ensure their survival. Only once they'd avoided becoming slaves or fodder for any number of creatures of the galaxy could the newly named Fates of Midnight focus on uncovering offworld secrets.
The Confederacy of Independent Systems...
After reuniting with her fellow Nightsister, Pom Stych Tivé, Vytal learned the ways of the Mandragora would not demand surrendering her ardent belief in the Fanged God or the Winged Goddess. Where before she expected to be an Archivist studying artifacts, now she began to explore the ways of Magick and the Force those of the Confederacy used. The two Nightsisters along with Bedrovelse Hevn soon began to uncover several mysteries of power together; and later the two Witches would even brave the perils of the Nether to learn of Vytal's secret patron of magick.
With time, and with several missions and military actions under the Mandragora banner, the Witches were assembled by Rience, head of the Knights Obsidian. There Vytal availed herself to the spirits in attendance. Though such an act placed her very identity in great jeopardy of being lost among the endless spiritual voices, the Dathomiri woman clawed her way back from the brink; and on that day she became recognized as the Nightmother of the Mandragora.
Since that time she has sought to educate the ignorant of the existence of magick and that Witches and Warlocks are not to be feared. They have no philosophical difference demanded any such crusade for purity. Their efforts are toward unraveling the countless mysteries in the galaxy and ensure order between the Mortal and Spiritual realms.
