STRENGTHS:
  • Stealth technology, powerful shields and weapons, extensive communications and sensor capabilities, and exceptional speed and agility in air, in space, and underwater make the Tiburon-class an amazingly hard to kill, tough, and versatile battlecruiser.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Requiring intense power supply systems operating at optimal levels, system-wide damage or malfunction to the power system aboard can expose the ships and their crews to potentially catastrophic conditions, particularly if the hydrostatic shields fail while submerged.
  • Despite its advanced engines, which capitalize on supercavitation technologies to enable speed and maneuverability underwater, the sheer size of the vessel limits performance while submerged, reducing speed and agility by as much as 13.47%.
  • While submerged, the Harlequin Cannons and Orbital Autocannons cannot be used, dramatically reducing its armament.
DESCRIPTION:
Wanting a capital ship which could bring to bear an incredible array of offensive and defensive weapons, shields, and other systems in the air, in space, or even undersea, the Tiburon-class Amphibious Battlecruiser was designed using Kaminoan, Quarren, Gungan, and Mon Calamari technologies. Fast and maneuverable, the battlecruiser is surprisingly nimble, albeit less so while submerged, and its potent weapons are immensely powerful. Working in tandem, a small squadron of these ships could swarm and enemy SSD, overwhelming its shields with their lightning guns and eventually could possibly destroy it. The cloaked ships are impressively stealthy, even underwater, and come equipped with a powerful sensor array.
While submerged, speed and maneuverability are somewhat lessened, and the Harlequin Cannons and Orbital Autocannons are offline, making it far less potent in battle. Yet, it has TALS-43 launchers, located two to each side, capable of unleashing barrage after barrage of powerful Limpet-class torpedoes while submerged. Further, its lightning beam cannon can send a widespread EMP effect, capable of devastating effects against enemy ships and weapons. In all however, the Tiburon-class is one of the most versatile, powerful, and dangerous opponents an enemy captain or admiral might encounter.
