SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Provides excellent protective resistance to a number of damage-types, making it an incredibly resilient material, especially for starship hulls, aquatic vessels, and other vehicles.
STRENGTHS:
  • Impervious to rust and natural corrosion (not acid-type weapons) it is ideally suited for amphibious and aquatic weapons as well as starships.
  • Extreme resistance to EMP/Ion makes it almost impenetrable to these kinds of weapons and effects.
  • Strong resistance to heat and cold, pressure, sonic weaponry, kinetic damage, and blaster-type weapons provides good all-around protective qualities in a lightweight alloy designed for rugged use in a variety of environments.
WEAKNESSES:
  • No protection against lightsaber-type weaponry.
  • No protection against biological entities such as metal-eating fungi and similar creatures.
  • No protection against Force-based attacks.
DESCRIPTION:
Designed originally for starships, Pearlskin harkens back to the impressive royalty of Naboo and the clean, modern looks of Kaminoan technology. Incredibly resilient against a variety of damage types, it was soon found that this durable, tough, and long-lasting material had other uses, especially for vehicles and aquatic vehicles, as well as aerial vessels and starships. Able to withstand the depths of the ocean, the frigid cold of ice planets, the sweltering sands of desert worlds, and to offer defense against blaster-type and kinetic damage, sonic weaponry, extreme pressure, natural corrosion, and to ignore EMP/Ion-type damage altogether, Pearlskin is easily one of the toughest and most enduring alloys in production anywhere today.

That is not to say it is without its weaknesses. Lightsaber-type weapons, biological entities which prey on metals and alloys such as mynocks and metal-eating fungi, and Force-based attacks can all make short work against it. Yet for these limitations, Pearlskin is still the ideal material you have been looking for use in your next dream vehicle.
