PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Visanj T’shkali
Affiliation: Closed-Market
Model: Maneuver Operations, Navigational Assistance, and Reaction Control (MONARC) System
Modularity: Yes; can be sized and configured to different ship sizes, types, and classes.
Production: Mass-Produced
Material(s): Collision Avoidance Software, Maneuvering Thrusters, Electronics.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Enables pilots to execute complex and precision movements and maneuvering ranging from very deliberate, slow, subtle, delicate adjustments such as complicated docking platforms or movement through restricted space like flying through the interior of larger vessels or stations and traversing proximity minefields; to full-blown aerobatics and exacting navigation through dangerous or crowded space/skies such as asteroid belts, debris-ridden fields, evading pursuit or enemy weapons fire, etc. even at very high speeds.
STRENGTHS:
  • Being mostly internal and hardened against EMP/Ion threats, this system is much more difficult to damage or disable.
  • Allows for increased agility and handling, making it possible for skilled pilots to safely execute often difficult, complex, and severely aerobatic maneuvers while still operating at high speeds.
  • Enables subtle navigational aid to allow ships to traverse through obstacle-ridden space nimbly and quickly, avoiding potentially disastrous outcomes that other ships may face.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Operates less efficiently in hyperspace due to the nature of hyperspace travel, and fails to provide the same precision movements and agility there.
  • Only as good as the ship it is used on – meaning it can’t make a bulky, slow freighter move like a sleek starfighter; the MONARC allows a ship to maneuver and handle at optimal performance but doesn’t give that ship capabilities it doesn’t already have.
  • Only as good as the pilot using it – meaning a novice pilot won’t become an ace overnight with the MONARC, and while it can provide enhanced maneuverability, agility, and technical action, it still requires a solid pilot to use it at its most brilliant. Furthermore, the same applies to auto-pilots, where rudimentary flight assistance programming or similar automated systems may see some improvement, only the most advanced programming and systems will get the kind of performance the MONARC is truly capable of giving.
DESCRIPTION:

The MONARC is a streamlined reaction control system and maneuvering thrusters set which can be configured for use in a variety of starship sizes and types, and enables pilots to execute complex precision maneuvers and navigate their ships with ease through difficult conditions, including combat. Using the MONARC, pilots are able to operate their vessels to their maximum capacity, flying at peak efficiency, executing nimble, quick movements and complex, precision actions with ease.

While it won’t offer much while traveling in hyperspace, when it comes to realspace and atmospheric aeronautics, the MONARC is unsurpassed. Even at high speeds or when traveling through difficult and dangerous conditions such as navigating one’s way through a minefield or asteroid belt or else engaged in a frenzied ‘dogfight’ where one false move or slow response can mean certain death, the MONARC will help you to operate at peak performance levels. No, it won’t make a Star Destroyer handle like a starfighter, and it won’t help that rusty old freighter held together with bailing wire to move about like a brand new corvette, but whatever you have, it will make it the very best it can be. With a good ship and pilot, the MONARC will enable improved performance, handling, and an easier more capable experience able to enhance survivability, decrease travel times, and elevate overall functionality to it utmost potential.
