Dominion The Reclamation War: Fanning the Flames | Mandalorian Enclave Dominion of Pzob

pzobheader.png

SEASON UNENDING: EPISODE V

KEEPING MOMENTUM...

They struck first and shocked the Galactic Alliance. From their territories in the Expansion Region to the Core Worlds. Victory belonged to the Mandalorians after years of being dormant, and their success has driven them mad with confidence to press on with their momentum. A task force of Mandalorians regrouped and launched another assault.

Vandelhelm.

A neutral world at the frontier of the Alliance. Rich with deep deposits of ore, titanic shipyards, and serves as a great trading center on the Rimma Trade Route. Word has it that a delegation of Vandelhelm politicians and monarchs are looking to persuade Galactic Alliance leaders to welcome them into the Alliance fold. If so, Vandelhelm will know what it means to deal with the likes of the Alliance.

Today the subjects of the Galactic Alliance may rest from the wrath of the Mandalorians although not too far from it; however, Vandelhelm will suffer and grieve the consequences for associating with the Alliance.

Let this serve as a message to the wide Galaxy of what it means to dream of brokering pacts with the Starbird.

Merchants are caught in the crossfire of the Enclave’s onslaught and now preyed upon, stuck in an interdiction field. The lives of the aruetiise will not be wept by the Mandalorians. Do what you will to them. Board their vessels, take what you want and give nothing back. Let them know that trading with the Alliance brings consequences.

pzobobj2.png

The wealth of Vandelhelm is a reflection from their shipyards. Render the use of their shipyards, capture engineers and mechanics, steal their ships and whatever important blueprints that will serve us instead - Rothana and the Enclave could benefit greatly from it.

pzobobj3.png

Every corner of Vandelhelm will hurt from our righteous crusade. There are a great many tasks to spread out between ourselves. Sabotage their paramount infrastructures such as their manufacturing facilities that are the bedrock of their wealth; loot their mines of endless deposits of ore that will serve our war efforts; or hunt down the delegation and the monarchs of Vandelhelm that are looking to join the Alliance.

Apply whatever tactics that are efficient and convenient for you.

You know the drill.

M2I6OdH.png
Artemis Verd, descendant of Isley Verd need only to speak with him about what it meant to crusade. After all he led the Mandalorians to glory time and time again, and so it seemed once more that a Verd would embark a not-so-different crusade. The family lines had been quiet since the patriarch had left for parts unknown. Their numbers while great were scattered far and wide. The woman considered what her mother wanted from her and what it meant to be named Artemis. Perhaps her mother had forgotten that Artemis Lux, her namesake, had been among the best of the Mandalorians of her time. She considered the current path of the Enclave's Mandalorians to be just that, a great crusade one that had sorely been needed.

Vandelhelm was simply there, had simply associated itself with the Galactic Alliance. Artemis' ship was on approach to the system she paged on Mandalorian comms, "it's been a long time since a Verd joined in with Mandalorians, but consider this one on your side." Now it'd depend on if anyone was the welcoming sort when it came to the Verd name or if they were the let bygones be bygones, and not punish you for your ancestors' past. Although some might say, transgressions, Artemis preferred the term shenanigans. Who hasn't gotten up to a few shenanigans in their day. Besides, the old man was much too busy making sure the moon wasn't haunted, whatever that meant.

mDqOaGU.png

She went over the 'list' of available things to do, burn, sabotage, loot, all of it was just a standard raid as far she could tell. All of it was simply boiled down to hitting the system hard and fast, a Mandalorian specialty. Artemis adjusted the course and set the autopilot on as she got up from the pilot's chair and grabbed her helmet from the table in the galley. There were others with her, those wanting to prove themselves worthy as Mandalorians. Admittedly to both them and herself, she wasn't anything more than someone's granddaughter and had yet to earn the title for herself.

The engravings on her helmet were a mix of things, some of it Nabooian and others from the expansive regions her grandfather had gone off to. Artemis, with her helmet secure slid back into the pilot's chair and maneuvered her ship, turning the autopilot function off.

It was supposed to be another routine business discussion with the guild representatives of the World of Vandelehlm, nestled close to the borders of the Galactic Alliance and supposedly free of pirates and other vagabonds that prayed on shipping lanes nearby.

The neutral planet certainly had wealth such as rich ore deposits, titanic shipyards and serving as a trading center along the Rimma Trade Route. Rumors leaking from the Office of the Chancellor indicated that a group of politicians and monarchs were asking for membership into the Alliance, and if such rumors were correct then it was a perfect time to wrestle control over the resources before alliance regulations kicked in.

So it was during this brief loophole, that the Trade Federation of Planets had sent a small task force to the world in an attempt to intimidate them into submission, sending the Minister for the Federation Herwig Grimminger to oversee the exchange personally in order to report back to the Director-General who was busy entering discussions with the Sith Order on Eliad regarding the Sith-Imperial Banking Clan and extensions of economic lifelines to keep them afloat given their infighting tendencies.

On the bridge of the Tambor-Pattern Lucrehulk Class Battleship "The Compound Interest II" there was a soft glance behind round tinted sunglasses as they moved from one area to another, scanning the hyperspace spirals. Herwig had only recently been chosen to be the Federation's Representative in the circus that was the Senate, and there was a distinct lack of political power that he actually held unlike his predecessor Rulonom Laborr. This assignment was supposed to give him some more clout, but it would seem that the powers that be would disrupt this idealism.

"What is going'on, OM-11." Came the voice of the Neimoidian Captain to the head of bridge operations as the ship began to buckle and be pulled from hyperspace by the presence of interdiction class vessels in orbit around the planet. "We appear to be caught in an interdiction sphere, Sir. Trying to triangulate coordinates as mass objects can be seen on the monitors." The response came a while later, which alarmed the Alliance Senator for a brief moment of time. It was unusual for the Alliance to test interdiction technology outside their borders, strange indeed....

The small task force would emerge from hyperspace, as merchant ships of all types and sizes were also seen as they had been pulled as well. The Flagship would crawl to a halt as the other Lucrehulk Class Bulk Freighters came to as well,
surrounded by other merchant vessels pulled. "It seems we have entered unfriendly territory, Captain. Shut down any non vital systems as to hide our presence...We can ill afford for our cargo to be assaulted by vagabonds and pirates of all people." Herwig had known that no pirates had access to this kind of technology, only one of the major powers and it was likely suspect that came into view...the Mandalorian Enclave.

"FOR MANDALORE!!!"

Just like that, a platoon of Mandalorian warriors burst into the cargo bay, Mevia Vizsla amongst them. Kranak Vizsa's granddaughter held her rifle in hand as she burst through, seeing red. Every person not wearing beskar'gam she saw, she killed. No time to hesitate, no time to regret anything. She was going to do whatever it took to bring her people back to glory - regardless of the cost.

The squadron of Mandalorians worked well together, wiping out every soul - workers, droids, merchants - and clearing the cargo bay. This particular cargo bay, at the far outer edges of the shipyards, was quite decently sized. It was not massive by any means, but it was not some tiny freighter hall either. Soon enough, the squadron was gathering at the doorways again, having cleaned house on the bottom floor. The room with the buttons and gizmos above was not yet secured.

The squadron leader spoke into his buy'ce's com channel, "Everyone set?"

Mevia was one of the first to respond, "Kark yeah."

As the others responded with their own confirmations, the commander responded, "Alright. Now all we have to do is take this bay's command center, then all these merchant ships are ours! Vod-"

Then, it all went wrong.

Suddenly, the blast doors the group thought they were guarding flew open. In a flash, a group of unfamiliar opponents ran in, rushing the group. It was blurry, what happened within those next several seconds. Mevia could make out her partner telling her to take cover beneath the nearest ship. But there was so much smoke, and she heard nothing but hellfire in her comlink. But as the worst of the noise settled down, she heard one voice through her coms, "Ambush! They have-"

The deafening sound of death was all the followed.

Heart pounding, Mevia was left to wonder what the kark was going on. She tried her coms again. "Is anyone there? Anyone!?"

She only heard the loud crackling of her comlink being hacked, then an unfamiliar voice.

"Ah, yes, you have fallen right into my trap. My my, look at you proud and mighty Mandalorians."

Mevia gritted her teeth, grabbing her rifle, "Why you-"

She pulled herself out from the ship's underbelly, ready to unleash the wrath of Mandalore. But she only saw a group of mercenaries standing over her fallen comrades, and several rifles pointed right at her. Rifles which sent chills down her spine.

Ion disruptors...

Mevia's heart pounded in her chest as the voice spoke into her coms again, "Welcome to my cargo bay, 1397, Mandalorian. You are the only one left. All it took was some planning and hired help to trap you all. And now, watch your might warriors be felled by aruetiise, my vode. Watch, and remember that you are no better than the rest of us."

Unwilling to fire their ion disruptors so close to a ship, the bounty hunters all waited for Mevia to make her move. But for now, all she could do was stand there... and bite her lip until it bled.

The landing pad was a bustle of activity, Mia and two other mandalorians stood watch, tracking their cargo as it was loaded onto a small cargo ship of Mandalorian make. Metal ore from the local mines, among other building materials. Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel was inside, finalising the deal with the merchant, opening channels for future business. It was no surprise just how many aruetiise were interested in supporting the rebuilding of Mandalore, if they were successful, there would be good exports to be had. Mia had questions about reaching so far out of Mandalore space, especially this close to the sith, but she trusted Ijaat.

Clad in black and sand-gold armour, her buy'ce clipped to her waist she stepped forward as the sullust foreman approached them. "That should be the last of them." He handed her the manifest "Do you want to-"

His words were interuppted by distant sonic booms. Cold ran through Mia as she looked up to see mandalorians descending onto the planet somewhere, deeper into the city and alarm began to blare. "Kark!" She slapped the manifest into the chest of her comrade. "You two, get that ship back to Manda'yaim in one piece. Go. Now!" They hesitated but only for a second before nodding.

"You! Get your people off this landing pad." the sullust moved away shouting for his people. Mia settled her helmet on her head and stayed where she was, watching hell descend upon Vandelhelm.

"Ijaat," she said softly into her comms. "The Enclave is here." Missiles descended, lighting up the area in orange and yellow plumes. "Crusading. Di'kute. We need to leave."

He looked up, and cursed. A touch of his head as Mia radioed moments later. The olive drab and protector colors were suddenly complimented by the white-cheeked helmet with blue highlights hissing closed, sealed air running. He turned to the merchant who had a few hired muscle and attendants, and barked orders to his and Mia's men.

"Copy Mia. You two, get this man to our ship and see him to safety. We need that agreement to hold. Don't risk your neck for civilians against the code, but keep them and yourselves safe without hesitation."

Turning without waiting, he heard rather than saw the two supercommandos paying heed. Watching contrails in the eyes through a mirrored visor, he sighed. For a moment, just in sight of Mia, he sagged at the certainty and likelihood of spilling his vode's blood. Then he drew the short, curved beskad he had forged after re-awakening. It was simple beskar, a veshok and leather handle studded with electrum. Nothing fancy. With that, he checked the ammo counter on his Shacklebolt and rammed the beskad into a crack between deck plating, droppoiing his rifle on it's sling his rifle and waiting, HUD flashing distanced and IFD tags.

Slowly he reached to his waist and removed something, treating it with the reverence of a lover and the repugnance of a snake. It borre scars from the last time he had seen it, and it took him a moment before he lifted the reforged mask to his buc'ye. With a click and further hiss, ,the ancient war-mask sealed to his helmet, and after adjusting to both a spiritual and physical weight, he spoke into his comms again.

"Mia, we're evacuating the merchant. He can't put us in contact with his Corellian friends if he's dead. Also means he owes us one. Might want to fall back to me so we can hold this space until the men have him aboard..."

Raising the rifle to scan the horizon, Ijaats posture snapped to and he scanned for targets, the claim having been made the moment he put the Mask on. He wouldn't stop his brethren from their Crusade. They had that right, though he might need to find his son and the few friends he had in the Enclave to make sense of the why. And hopefully, refocus their war machine to a better target.

He had made the claim, now to see how he would be received. Though his ideas were different perhaps than history and how many would think they would be.

The roar of the engines and the kicking up of dust was music to the ears of the Saxon Rallymaster a convoy of heavy vehicles trundled down the road towards the mine. Preliminary bombardments had taken out defensive position and the pair of basilisks had gone ahead and reported back that the miners and surviving defensive troops had largely abandoned their posts. Celt had let them flee, they had access to the valuable mine and its ore. Even better they would be able to use it as a staging post to control the surrounding area. Two tanks, several heavy transports and a trio of MRLS launchers made their way down the long winding road. Outriders were checking for ambushes along the way and Celt sat in the passenger seat of the lead transport, just behind one of her tanks.

<<Saxon advanced, this is Saxon one, I'm detecting a service yard about one click up the road, some heat signatures, care on approach>> she spoke into her comm, they knew their jobs, but she wanted to make sure she had oversight of the whole battlespace. The engine of her truck roared again as they hit a hill in the road. The tank in front of them bounded over first, followed by her lorry.

STILL COUNTING

Things were going according to plan.

They had hit the Alliance hard. Intelligence read that rebellions were cropping up across some Alliance systems. It was exactly what the Enclave needed. Their message rang harder than ever.

And now another raid on a frontier world that looked to join the traitorous democracy.

Gail was both fired up and exhausted from strain. It was good to be on the frontlines, but just sometimes he missed home. The moments he could steal with Yael Kandar Yael Kandar were far too short. It was one op following another.

His heart was being torn in two.

"Keep close, but stay overhead, Boy." he told Mouse.
://: Course I will. I can usually blow stuff up when I stick close to you. ://: the Basilisk said.
"Gee, thanks." Gailen said, rolling his eyes.
The droid gave a rumbling chuckle before shooting into the air.

Overhead, the sky was alight with laserfire from ships. On the ground, it wasn't much different. For every Mando'ad trying the non-violent approach, three others took their place to deliver a message.

Gailen drew himself up to his full height before looking at the one accompanying him and the rest of the squad. He just couldn't get a handle on the Zeltron, alluring as he may be. As long as the guy stayed away from Yael, though, the Alor'ad could work with him.
"The Capitol building is to the North-East of our position. That's where our targets are. Orders are to capture first, but if that fails, to kill. You up to the task, Swynol?" he asked the enigmatic man.

<Alor'ad, ship just landed. Verd by the smell of it. How'd you like to handle it?> Kahma Saxon's comms rang in his ears after the short discussion.
Gailen's jaw clenched. Clan Verd wasn't exactly friends of the Enclave. Or didn't used to be. He didn't know about now. He'd leave that call up to Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla and Vren Rook Vren Rook . For the time-being though...
<I won't turn down an extra gun. Send them our way.> he said. He then glared at Rhys from behind his visor. "Try to keep your smell in check until after we have the politicians locked up, allright? Then you can have at the newcomer."

With that, he motioned for his squad.
<Start clearing the way, Vode. We'll be right behind.>
Being the responsible rank sometimes sucked. The amount of waiting you had to do for people, was incessant.

Hopefully this Verd was worth the wait.

There would be no survivors under his shadow. Compassion and mercy was not something to stretch out to foreigners, especially those making pacts with the Jedi and their Alliance. Their insolence will be a perfect example of the consequences to their plots and schemes.

His aim was for the trading hub, an important center to Vandelhelm and other systems within the Expansion Region. The last bit of order before venturing out to the lawless Outer Rim.

Chaos evolved from their violent entrance, civilians trying to run away with their dear lives only to prevail or be killed for sport. Only ones with discipline to brave the storm was armed militia and the planet’s garrison. Soon the fighting reached the trading hub, heralding Vilaz’s presence and his warriors. Everyone would be shot on sight and their assets robbed to serve the Enclave.

On one of the many pads, however, caught his attention. What appeared to be a group of Mandalorians aiding merchants. Probably business partners of theirs. He’d find out soon this group of Mandalorians and know their intentions, before raising blasters and spilling Mandalorian blood.

The former Akaan landed gracefully on the pad, a great many meters between his host and the unknown Mandalorians. <“Be prepared for anything,” warning his warriors who’s accompanied him.

<“Su cuy’gar,”> extending warm greetings to his brethren, <“I am Vilaz of Clan Munin. There’s an important operation going underway in the name of the Enclave. We do not wish to spill Mandalorian blood and request you come with me to know the nature of your business and give you safe passage out of the system.”>

Artemis set her ship down somewhere out of the way, it was hard for to say if people knew who she was. Verd was an old name, and one that was as numerous as the legions of stormtroopers or perhaps just Zambranos, although keeping up with those in numbers was a challenge in and of itself. One that her grandfather felt the need to try and compete with, or so she had been told. It was harder, for her to say, if people knew she had landed. Then again short of having a ship that looked her dead in the eyes on the way down, of which, there had been none. Therefore she felt confident that not many were aware of her landing, considering everything else that was happening on the world.

The young woman's feet settled onto Vandelhelm's turf just outside the loading ramp. The mostly Nabooian-raised Mandalorian had but few memories of Concord Dawn, and fewer still of Mandalorians. Her helmet concealed her features as her armor kept her prepared for whatever might follow. Harder to say where she felt her place was between the cultural group of nomadic warriors. Even as Vandelhelm suffered under the Enclave's Crusade. Part of her, the Nabooian part wanted people to have their right to choose and be at peace with the greater galaxy for it. The other part though, knew the rumors of the Galactic Alliance's interference on Ryloth and Rodia which led to one thing that led to another.

Equipped with the traditional Verd tomahawk, and a beskad at her side. Artemis checked her wrist rockets, although those were usually reserved for those who got on her nerves. Whatever peace the world had longed for had not arrived on that day. As the woman's cloak fluttered in the wind, Artemis headed toward the remnants of civilization. Gold armor with a dune secondary trim, and where it complimented a dull, pale rouge such as the one that lined the T on her helmet.

Just another Mandalorian.

What they had plotted was extreme, perhaps too extreme to the taste of other radicals in the Enclave. Their intention here was to cripple Vandelhelm, make them a burden should they be annexed within the Alliance.

What Munin and Beroya planned, however, was to send them into a cataclysmic state that would take years for them to recover. Years that would afflict many generations. They would destabilize the immense shipyard above Vandelhelm’s orbit and send it spiraling down into Vandelhelm.

<“The others better hurry to complete their tasks cause I’m not gonna wait to blow this queen down,”> he exclaimed to his counterpart.

They had reached one of the many hangars of the shipyard, both leading one whole unit away from the others. They’d help the others if they could, but ultimately set in accomplishing their goal. Something that would send the Alliance and other neutral systems into shock, really delivering their ultimatum to the Galaxy.

No man would claim ignorance as an excuse to not know what it meant to make deals with the Alliance.

We do not wish to spill Mandalorian blood and request you come with me to know the nature of your business and give you safe passage out of the system.”>

Mia laughed hard. Never had she expected to run into him, never had he been so cordial. In fact, every time Vilaz had greeted her in the past, it had been with a bullet or an explosive. It took her a moment to get a grip of herself, shaking her head in disbelief as she settled her helmet into place.

<"Ahh, Vil'ika, its been so long."> She stepped forward. <"I honestly thought you'd have been killed by now. Two things though, the first is that when have you ever cared about spilling a brothers blood?"> she stepped forward a glance in Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel 's direction, they both had bad blood with the old man but she wanted this, she was owed this.

Mia drew the beskad from her back, it twirled breifly in her fingers. <"Second thing,"> she said turning her attention back to Vilaz Munin Vilaz Munin <"I've been dead sometime so memory can be a little bit hazy in places but I'm pretty sure, that this is the nicest greeting you've ever given me. In fact, I'm pretty sure you tried to kill me for attempting to unite our people. How did you fair under the Death Watch leader puppeted by a sith?"> her voice was losong its amused tone, darkening with anger. <"How many did you lose for your treachery?">

The landing platform beneath her feet groaned as she drew the force into her, tugging at many metal panels that interlinked. With a flick of her free hand a dozen came free, moving forward with each steady step forward she took. <"Remember me yet?">

The panels sailed forward, shot like bullets aiming for the men he'd brought down with him. They aimed for necks, upper thighs and lower abdomens. Anywhere that she knew their armour would be weakest. Mia had, and always would be ruthless, these men stood with him, they were her enemy. No exceptions. The red haze of anger descended over her. The whole enclave would be her enemy if they stood with him.

Stealthed and hidden, Elise Vizsla crouched in wait behind a boulder. The moment she found out that the Enclave was here, she came to fight them. Her bitter betrayal was fully realized, and she still felt the shame hugging her like a blanket. And yet, this was what she had to do. The Enclave had fallen, becoming nothing more than pirates and thugs. Oh, how the mighty fell. Right now, she had come to the mines to help evacuate the workers from an incoming convoy of tanks. Her hope was to delay their coming, to buy the civilians more time. If she had to, Elise would even stop them permanently.

Then again, this was war. She knew all too well that the lives of her fellow vode would be on her hands.

She hated it.

But she had to do what she must.

Nestled behind a large boulder, Elise had set up a silent killer on the road. A gas canister, meant to release a short lived gas into the air. This gas would painlessly send anyone who breathed it in to sleep. Then, the gas would shut their vital systems down. As far as chemical warfare went, it was a merciful and painless death. Sneaking from one side road to another, the Dreamseer noticed an outrider of the convoy speeding towards a road Elise had not trapped yet. Silently, she pulled out her bow and aimed a physical arrow at the Mandalorian.

<"I'm sorry.">

Her aim was true. The high velocity arrow pierced a weak spot in his beskar'gam, causing him to panic and drive his speeder into the ground. As the explosion sounded, Elise grimaced. She did not want to reveal herself yet. Not without preparation.

Keeping her stealth technology up, she put the bow away and slipped to another side road. Her HUD flashed, letting her know that a second Outrider has fallen into her chemical trap.

Swift and with poise, the Ajayid crept towards the main road, sensing the heightened awareness of the main convoy already. Elise hid at a high vantage point, looking down at where the convoy was approaching. Two heavy tanks, three Launchers, and additional outriders trying to brainstorm on what happened to their two fallen. With her physical body, technology, and Force Signature all stealthed, Elise pulled her bow from her back once again.

She had one chance to make this fight easier for herself.

She knocked three arrows, explosive arrows, from her nanonite quiver. Pulling the string back, she targeted the three launchers. She loosed the arrows, and the three MRLS's were targeted at their computing systems. The explosion caused by it all swiftly overtook a tank a well. While the vod inside was unharmed, and the tank was not destroyed, the large vehicle was overturned. Elise could not help but grin. That went better than I expected!

But even with all her cloaking, she was unable to hide the visible location the arrows were fired from. The remaining outriders activated their jetpacks and flew towards the boulder Elise was nestled in, and she acted.

Cover blown, she uncloaked. Her red, hooded kama covered her armor and helmet as she pulled her bow back again and fired another explosive. The explosion managed to make a vod lose control of his flight, and he fell to his death.

The other landed atop the boulder above, and he gasped at what he saw. Her armor...

<"Traitor!">

Elise gritted her teeth beneath her buy'ce. She lifted her vambrace and fired a Charric round, which did nothing to phase the Mandalorian. But Elise had only meant it as a distracting shot. She launched her fiber chord whip with her second vambrace, coiling it around him and yanking him from his perch. As he fell, Elise extended her hand and performed a Force Push, launching him clear across the road.

This entire time, she felt her guilt buried under a wave of calm action. She was numb to her shame, for now, and doing what needed to be done with calculation.

Putting her bow behind her back again, she activated her jetpack briefly, landing on the road. She needed to take out one more tank. Could her jetpack's missile launcher do that. Her red hood fell, revealing her white and red buy'ce immediately. Still in the cruel war game, Elise, knelt and prepared for whatever attacks came for. It would be simple to weave about, firing her missile when she had the chance. But how much longer could she stay so unnaturally cold?

APOCALYPSE

A new hit.

It was a good thing - keeping the momentum. Jan didn't know who she needed to thank for this offensive move, but she was happy.

Everyone had their objectives for the op on Vandelhelm. Some weakspines calling themselves Mando'ade were doing it their way, but they were delivering the wanted message all the same by just being here. Everyone would fear the Mando'ade again, whether some Mandalorians want it or not. It was perfect.

Typical to their dynamic, the Munins and Beroyas once more banded together to go the extra mile. Do what they were supposed to do, but some extra credit didn't hurt.

<"The others better hurry to complete their tasks cause I'm not gonna wait to blow this queen down,">

Jan rolled her eyes behind her visor as they all reached a hangar.
<Do you have one patient hair on your head, Munin?> she quipped at him. <If there's stuff that can be of benefit to us, then we grab it before dropping this yard, Smart Guy.>

She moved ahead with her team.
<Plant some packages, but if you see any documents or something that looks like it can be of value to us, then grab it.> she told them.
"You two still on Clan-name basis? I thought you got past that the other night back home?" Evelyn asked her quietly.
Jan smiled behind her helmet. "I doubt we'll ever stop, even if we did." she said.
Nam gunned down a security guard that appeared in their way. "Can you two talk boys later and focus, please?" he quipped.
"We multitask." Jan quipped back.

After her team planted a few explosives in the hangar, Jan looked at Adenn and his team.

<All right, Princess, we moving ahead?>

Ijaat snorted, and his only response to Vilaz Munin Vilaz Munin would be the rasping of a short, gleaming beskad and a spin of a bes'manda smithing hammer at his left hand as the weapon was drawn and leveled at the long despised man before him. Slowly, the hammer began to glow softly, as if bleeding heat from the forge, Mando'a glyphs along it beginning to blaze white-hot. His stance would drop, ready, and he would simply spin the new forged blade in his hand, testing the weight and balance as he began slowly to circle to Munin's left.

Finally he spoke.

<<Barking at the heels of your betters again, I see. Not surprised the Enclave sends a dog for this mission...>>

Artemis approached the area and noticed a group of folk, Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel and Mia Monroe Mia Monroe on one end and Vilaz Munin Vilaz Munin on the other. She was still far enough away to be out of sight and that's what she planned on doing, for now. Staying out of sight, getting into cover she got a set of binocs and zoomed them in, the binocs scanners identified people. Names she didn't know except for Munin and nothing good came from it, the scan over Ijaat and Mia revealed nothing but ancient history. Not to say that Munin wasn't exactly history himself, hell to her all three belonged in a museum, then she wonder if her grandfather Darth Metus Darth Metus had known any of them. Probably did, and probably more than she knew.

There had been civilians in the area, it looked like they'd been cleared out. Steadily, she watched the interactions, hoping to keep not only keep a safe distance but come to help just in case it was needed. It was starting to feel like a scene out of a holo, if Artemis was going to be honest with herself. All the more reason to keep out of it, of course, any sane person would but then again she was a Verd... Sanity and Verds didn't always go hand in hand. Shuffling out of cover and steeling her nerves she continued toward the group.

At that point she was close enough that either someone was going to notice, or she'd be able to slip right on by because they were all too busy giving each other oogly eyes.

Hostile data started coming in from her outriders and Celt's hud switched immediately to combat mode. She was always ready for battle but the explosions that rocked her world still caught her off guard and she was forced to steady herself as the blast from the MRLS vehicles to her rear exploding, her truck and the lead tank was caught in the shock wave but survived fairly unscathed, but Celt would not be awaiting a second volley. She lept out of the truck and jumped onto her repulsors to head in the direction of their assailant.

Celt's HUD tracked the red and white clad woman and immediately identified her as a known traitor. "Vizsla! You've made a big mistake" she called out with her voice enhancer before activating her shoulder mounted ripper and sending a stream of particle at the woman in beskar armour. She added to the volley with a small blast of her own wrist mounted charric, hoping to give the opponent something to help her consider a last minute surrender.

Another explosion rocked the ground as one of the large missiles in her launcher detonated I'm the fire, silloetting Celt against the small mushroom of fire and dirt behind her.

"Vizsla! You've made a big mistake!"

<"Tell me about it!">

Elise's self loathing seeped out as the sinister survivor of her attack made her move. Elise's Force Sense warned her of the barrage of shrapnels fast enough for her to lift her vambrace over her neck, protecting it. The metal shards tore into her, bouncing off her beskar plating and vambrace's plasma shield. Some metal flew into the armorweave over her stomach. Some shards bounced off, some more managed to pierce the weave without cutting her. But a couple pierce cut into her stomach, drawing blood. Thankfully, nowhere vital was hit.

The Force induced alert of a second ammunition type came, and Elise jumped out of the way of a charric round. As Elise landed atop one of the wrecked tanks, she hissed. Looking to her bow, she saw that the string of the weapon was cut due to the ripper assault. Additionally, her red kama lost two inches from the cutting attack, save for the one corner of the cloak still clinging to the top. The Ajayid folded her bow in a fluid motion and hung it on her back.

She ripped the loose bottom of her kama off and clenched it. She could have sworn that it represented the new blood on her hands, and her anger swelled. Shouting at both her opponent and herself, she let go of the cloth as she screamed, <"But I already made my choice!">

The scarlet cloth flew away in the wind.

Vizsla pulled out her AP-25i and fired a particle round. The exile counted the ammunition in her head. Fifty nine.

From her left leg, she fired a barrage a whistling birds at her opponent. Standing atop the tank, she awaited her enemy's next move.

The woman opposing her took some hits and changed position, unfortunately not going down in the barrage. Celt spun in the air as Elise Ahana-Gwyneira Elise Ahana-Gwyneira changed position. <<But why? You are Vizsla! Your clan know the results of mandalorian betrayal." she activated her energy buckler just in time to receive the particle shot, she felt the impact of the dense bolt of energy against her forearm. She was then peppered with whistling birds. The micro-explosives caused a shower of sparks where they hit solid beskar and her HUD flashed with a warning from her gatling gun that the traverse mechanism had taken a hit and been damaged, preventing her from aiming it at her foe.

An explosive dart fired from Celt's knee towards Elise, it was unguided but aimed squarely at her feet to try where it would detonate on her or on the roof of the burning tank. Most of the rest of her convoy had no dismounted and were now tending to the wounded from the vehicles that had taken hits. Celt could not stand this betrayer in front of her, but she hoped at least her shattered honour at least kept her from targeting the wounded and their rescuers. Whether the rocket hit or not, Celt pulled out her own hybrid pistol and sent a couple of shots down range, they were not as aimed as Celt would have liked but she needed to move position, trying to draw Elise away from the remaining convoy crew, just in case.

<<But why? You are Vizsla! Your clan know the results of mandalorian betrayal.">>

Elise hissed, rage flooding her veins. Clan Vizsla knew all right... for they themselves were traitors. Shameful history played back in Elise's mind as she dodged the explosive shot, activating her jetpack and landing. Elise made no efforts to finish the wounded and rescuers. They were no threat now, and it was dishonorable to slaughter a wounded vod. And so, dodging the blaster fire thrown at her, Elise followed her opponent instead.

<<"You're right, I come from a line of traitors and demagolka!">>

She ran closer to the Mandalorian, firing more rounds from her pistol. Fifty eight, fifty sever, fifty six. The rounds were merely distracting shots as she used her jump boots to help close the distance. With her other hand, she ripped Copad'kal from its sheath.

<<"Ra Vizsla was a monster! He sided with Sith, helped contribute to Mandalore's destruction, performed a genocide on Force Sensitive Mandalorians, and took countless lives to the grave!">>

Fifty five, fifty four, fifty three, fifty two, fifty one, forty nine.

<<"And the Sith, dishonorable and vile, only repaid his loyalty with their own treachery! The thanks he got was death! And he deserved it!">>

Skidding to a halt as she turned a sharp corner, chasing her opponent, she hissed, <<"You think we would have learned, but no! Mandalorians will keep living by the blade, and they will keep dying by it! Guided by malice and darkness, uncaring of the innocents they butcher in the process!">>

She kicked up rocks and dirt as she gave chase again. Forty eight, forty seven, c'mon! Let me close the gap!

<<"I stood on Mandalore's surface! I saw the endless expanse of its defiled wastes! The strip mines, the pollution! And I saw what true cruelty was! And I could not stand it! I knew, I knew the moment I saw my ruined home, that I would not stand by as this sort of thing happened again!">>

She felt herself draw close enough to the enemy, attempted a slash, only to fall back again. Now, they were far off from the wounded. The Enclave Mandalorian's plan to draw her away from them worked. Then again, she never even had needed to. Still attempting to fall into melee range, Elise shouted with such conviction and sorrow, disgust and rage. Forty six! Forty five!

<<"So imagine my disgust when the Enclave starts down this path of Crusade and destruction! Is there honor in attacking civilians, pillaging goods, and sacking the defenses of worlds that never wanted it!? Is there honor in degrading yourselves to mere barbarians as you take pleasure in the work of thugs and thieves?! Tell me, where is your honor?!">>

Elise activated her knee rockets, aiming them for the warrior as she made another attempt to get in with her kal, <<"Ra Vizsla took a path of treachery and bloodshed, and I will not make the same mistake! I am a Mandalorian, who practices honor and justice, not a brutish pirate!">>
