Kyrel couldn’t describe it, but he could feel something radiating from the depths of the complex. Something important was here but what he couldn’t quite understand. All he knew was that he was compelled to seek it out in the name of the Maw. He could feel others close by, and the Maw’s Wrath didn’t dare lower his own guard down for just a moment. Even standing in front of the tentacle faced taskmaster who found his presence a reassuring one. Unfortunately while Kyrel valued his expertise in keeping the Maw war machine running, he couldn’t say that he felt reassured by the being. Instead, memories of his maker and the horrifying mantra of “Consume, devour, destroy.” Played over and over inside of his own head capable of sending chills down his spine.

“We shouldn’t waste anymore time, we must seek out what’s inside before anyone else.” He said with urgency, as it seemed he couldn’t stand the thought of being denied any Imperial secrets Sidious had left behind. Even eight centuries after his black bones were nothing but dust, and his name all but legend, Darth Sidious left a trove of powerful secrets tied into his own empire from magnificent wonder weapons, hidden projects, to dark Sith secrets only the strong could access. Kyrel given his past as someone forged from such a dark legacy knew that finding any Imperial secrets were grave importance to achieving his plans, yet his hunger threatened to consume him and the entire galaxy.

When the foliage was cleared, and the doors had opened the hiss of air sent chills down his spine. The promise of what lied hidden within the darkest depths of the complex made him all the more eager. He began to take the first couple steps, yet as he did so he felt a tremor in the Force and turned his head only to feel the impact of shrapnel. Unlike the taskmaster Kyrel stood as motionless as a statue, some shrapnel would pierce into him, and vile black ooze slowly poured out of him in steady drops. He didn’t cry out, or seemed phased at all. Even when the taskmaster recovered only to yell out more orders.

Kyrel scowled in annoyance at the shelling. “Simple minded fools…” he spat out. His gaze shifted towards the darkness among the loud retaliation of the Maw’s own artillery pieces firing back. He turned to the taskmaster his blade ignited in a crackle of unstable crimson providing some illumination in the ancient opening. “Taskmaster we must be on the move, we cannot afford to be distracted by pests.” He urged the taskmaster as the hulking behemoth that was the Wrath ventured slowly into the depths of the unknown.

OBJECTIVE: CARRION RAID
LOCATION: ARGOVIA ORBIT, aboard the captured UES Drakon
TAGS: Jas Katis Jas Katis Gwyneira Krayt Gwyneira Krayt Hand of Judgement Hand of Judgement

:: Any Enclave and Argovia personnel listening, we have received your broadcast. ::

"Attention, unidentified vessels. This is the FDS Allegiance of the Final Dawn Navy, identify yourself and state your intentions.". Just as the transmission would be sent to the Tython, the crew of the Allegiance would begun rushing towards their Battlestations with the entire Vanguard Fleet on high alert ready to engage the fleet in orbit of Argovia if necessary.

Kybo paced the bridge of the newly-acquired Drakon. The situation had developed rapidly. He had expected ships of cruiser-weight or below to respond to the distress call, but 3 Star Destroyers and 6 corvettes from an unknown force was far more than he bargained for. Of course, that worry was alleviated by the sudden appearance of a Task Force of the Final Dawn. Now it was closer to a fair fight, especially if the captured Mandalorian Drakon could be put to good use. The Stranger was still out of sensor range, using passive sensors to keep a general look-out on the situation. The Heavy Cruiser could flank the possible hostiles once the Final Dawn engaged. Put together, there was about even odds; a chance Kybo could do some damage and play it by ear after.

But then, when would a pirate ever accept fair odds?

"Bridge to engineering, how are the explosives work going?"

"Almost complete, Cap'n. About ten minutes left."

"Steady on; once y're done, get to battlestations."

She noticed another Enclave ship in the system, an MNV-17 Kyr-am. Assured that at least one ship was also on her side, she reached down to the comlink to make communication effort, before the Force strongly warned her against it. Gwyn blinked, looking over to the ship and then closing her eyes. The image of a helmeted Knight Of Ren, a red blade, and fallen vode entered her mind. She gasped, "No..."
A presence in the Force. Were their presence known?

Kybo reached for the communicator. The ship had broadcasted the Enclave's communications codes for long enough that every Maw ship in-system for the past half an hour could verify, and so he had stopped it. Now it was time to move on to the next step. He opened a tightbeam to the Allegiance.

<"Drakon to Allegiance, we are flying under Maw colours. If ye wish to cross cannons wit' th' enemy, I suggest ye bait them towards my ship; we're playing at requiring assistance. Be ready to fire at any moment.">
The Drakon had indeed sustained sufficient damage to be noticeable outside. With its engines cut to allow it to drift and minimal internal systems running at the moment, Jas Katis Jas Katis ' fleet would easily buy that this was an Enclave frigate left for dead by Maw attack.

The transmission encrypted with Maw codes. The enemy ships might be able to get some 'back-draft' of the unidirectional tightbeam transmission, but only faint and scattered garbage; not enough to extrapolate data from. Besides, they would be too focussed on the actual open broadcast:

<"Unidentified Flagship,"> She spoke with some snark, before completely turning serious, <"This is the Tauntaun. I am Gwyneira Krayt of Clan Krayt, House Vizsla. I have come here on behalf of the Mandalorian Enclave to investigate the Maw's presence so close to our borders.">

She contemplated for a moment, looking up at the massive fleet of Maw ships, <"Promise you are enemies of the Maw and not me, and I will come. I want to kill Mawites, not squabble elsewhere. And... you sound familiar, captain.">

:: Attention Final Dawn vessels, this is Hellion Naval Vessel seven-zero-one, you are trespassing on private prospective space under ownership of Hex Incorporated. Remove your soldiers from the surface, turn back around, and leave the sector immediately, or we will be forced to take lethal action against you. ::

Well. Now this was getting interesting. If they did not want to take the first move, that was up to them. And fortunately, the non-responding freighter had changed course.

Kybo tabbed an open channel and broadcast to the Hex ships:

<"Mayday, mayday, this is UES Drakon, we require assistance! We are dead in the water, repeat, engines are non-functional! Maw ships are hos-"> Kybo switched the communicator off.

<"Drakon to Allegiance, ah strongly suggest ye fire now.">

"Then you will." Acherus stated and strode forward into the battle-ridden streets of Argovas City.

Bodies, ensnared with stun nets, were dragged mercilessly through the concrete street by the raiders. One marauder would be gunned down, another would immediately rush to claim their trophy. The Mawites pushed ahead, aided by the Vagaari mercenaries Acherus had hired; veterans of the Chiss Genocide. Years had passed since the Brotherhood had revealed itself to the galaxy. Their appearance may still look the part of riff-raff roving bands but their experience in war was no less than that accrued by the Alliance or the Empire, while their adaptability was unmatched.

No fighting force adapted as quickly as the Brotherhood.

A hail of blaster fire showered Acherus and Ada's position as they reappeared on the battle. Bolts scorched through the dark robes before his hand snapped forward and an invisible force froze the upcoming rounds in mid-air. The physical momentum borne of the law of nature struggled against the chokehold of the Force. No laws existed that could not be bent by the power of the Dark Side.

The Sith clenched his fist before throwing the bolts back at their owners. "Our wishes have been fulfilled." Acherus remarked, eyeing the Mandalorians deploying ahead of them. "You will be generously rewarded for each Mandalorian captive, Ada Infernum."

The one whom she had fired a gun, but nothing seemed to happen at least not on any visible level. Tegan however felt the link between the bomb collars and her mind crown die, the Mind crown would have allowed her to detonate the collars with a simple thought but now the link was gone. The children however still caught in the fear were not aware the bomb collars had been separated from the detonator just stood there unmoving as Mandalorian flew down to them to face the diminutive woman in white. Under her mask Tegan had a wicked smirk crossing her face as the mandalorian came to her.

"Really, sis? Bomb collars? What's the matter, too afraid to take on a proper challenge?"

Only a few meters away Tegan could smell Shai now. Only a few meters away Tegan could feel them on her invisible web now that continued to grow out across the landscape allowing Tegan to feel more and more. Orange eyes stared at the adversary, right through the Shistavanen like they weren't even there. Tegan's eyes burning sulfuric orange flared for a moment. "Everyone and everything is weapon to be exploited. Where you brandish a blaster or rifle, one could say you are coward for not charging in with your knife first. Hell lets go back to fist, sticks, and rocks. In war you use anything, anyone, and everything Mandalorians use to understand that."

Tegan spoke out from her mask her voice calm and oddly sweet and soft. Even the children gave her an odd look earlier she came off as a raving lunatic that blew out their father's brains and laughed now, she spoke firm, but her tone made her look less intimidating. To Tegan though it was all game, even if the one before her knew who she was and what she was capable off, she played at getting them to underestimate her. Her tone of voice and her height all played into it nothing so small with a meek tone could possible be as Evil and cruel as she truly was.

"By the way, you look familiar. Did I spoil a tea party of yours somewhere?"

Tegan snorted a bit at that. "I am The God of Destruction, Kad Ha'rangir in your tongue. You have lost the way and forgotten now following Arasuum." Tegan Tone abruptly changed as she right hand came up and the Lanvarok on her wrist launched six razor sharp disks in Shai's direction. Two of the disks were explosive the other four would easily bounce off the Shai's Mandalorian armor barely scratching it but that was not their purpose. The four disks would continue bounce and return to the armor putting tiny scratches into the armor in attempt to scratch small symbols into the armor. The discs were being mentally controlled by Tegan's mind crown. "Also I just don't like dogs." She quipped as with her left hand she pulled on of her sabers free and ignited it with a snap -hiss freeing the red energy blade. "Heel, Boy."

There were three problems with Kragr's plan to sneak up on Kralmus from above.

The first was that jetpacks aren't exactly silent. The trademark whirr-whoosh of upward propulsion instantly alerted the Mawite Mando that his foe was on the move. The second was that, as soon as Kragr moved, it became immediately obvious that his shatter guns were no longer covering the street. Mawite marauders began advancing once more, blowing away the ramshackle little town's scattered, disorganized defenders. The people here had no hope except the Enclave warriors who'd happened to be here; on their own, they were all but helpless against the Maw. A little frontier outpost where criminals went to hide couldn't stand up to a galactic great power.

The third was that, by the time Kragr threw his grenade and leapt down from the roof, the cannibal was already on the move.

Kralmus had charged around the corner as soon as the flash rocket had detonated, while Kragr was still sneaking across the roof. The flash-bang that the Enclaver threw smacked into the alley near where the Mawite had been standing, but around the same corner that Kralmus had used for cover from his own rocket. As a result, he was facing completely away from the flash and had most of a wall between him and the bang, though the latter still set his ears ringing. It even threw him a little off-balance, causing him to stumble sideways as his equilibrium was sent off-kilter... but that worked out just fine, because his sudden leftward lurch moved his body just in time.

Kragr's hammer whistled past his head, and Kralmus Orr just barely avoided being pulped.

"Heh. Copycat," the cannibal sneered, whirling to face his foe. "Is this the height of Enclave strategy? 'No, you can't flashbang me, I flashbang you!' Like a child on the playground's version of a clever comeback." He shook his head and clucked his tongue like a disappointed schoolteacher. "I do hope you can do better than that going forward, or this is going to be dreadfully boring." Taking up his mighty axe in both hands, Kralmus charged forward, raising the weapon for a powerful overhead swing. But at the last moment, just before he got into hammer range, he broke off the attack. The axe dropped back into guard position, and he twisted sideways.

The axe attack was a feint... one intended to disguise his real attack. For as he suddenly twisted to the side of Kragr, Kralmus triggered his kneepad rocket dart launcher, firing it toward his opponent at close range. It was one weapon that might actually have some chance of penetrating his foe's armor, unlike the flamethrower or whipcord that the cannibal also carried, and failing that it might at least knock the armored giant off-balance and open him up for an axe strike. It also left Kralmus's hands free, so that he could make an effort to parry the next hammer strike that came his way with his songsteel-alloy axe haft. He wasn't looking forward to that, though.

This guy was big. Intercepting a swing of that hammer was going to hurt.

But not nearly as much as actually getting hit by it.

"Then you will."

Oh dear, he had some kind of drama complex. She snickered as he swept past her and into the street.
"Yes, oh great King of All Beings." she said, voice dripping with sarcasm as she followed after him, still slightly unsure why she was listening to this brash and overt man. Curiosity, maybe.

And they walked into a hail of blasterfire.

Like a shawody flash, the Ember positioned herself so that his tall frame could take the brunt of the bolts and let him do something about it. When he sent the bolts back at their owners, Ada was moving once again, silent as night.

His words of reward met only empty air while the Vahla was already darting through passages, the occasional blur of red hair the only thing visible.

Before long, she was behind another Mandalorian, but this time, the armour-wearing brute turned around. In a flash, she lashed out with the Force, suspending him in time. Like a swift shadow, she was behind him, hand snaking out to a very specific pressure point in the underarm to drop him to the ground, unconscious.

Conjuring a flame, she transferred some images of what had just transpire into it before she sent it toward the very pompous Acherus. The message in the images was clear.

Your Mandalorian is alive and sleeping - come and get him.

Acherus glanced at the sky as more Mandalorian dropships pierced the atmosphereen route to the surface. He wondered what in the galaxy was that space-faring Ren, Kybo Ren Kybo Ren , was doing. The Enclave's response was swift but the skies should've remained clear. If he could only reach for the Ren pirate's throat...

Kybo's malarkey in space nearly detracted him from the Vahla's sarcasm-soaked tongue. Perhaps the wench needed a lesson too... no, it would be a shame to waste her skills when they could be used to further his own agenda. Not everyone could slink into the shadows and reappear with the incapacitated body of a Mandalorian warrior. The flames carrying the message were a clear penchant for the dramatic but such rough edges could be smoothened out, carved to his own liking and pleasure.

Acherus would know.

The cross-guard saber was lit ablaze to deflect another salvo of blaster bolts as he marched forth towards where the knocked-out Mandalorian was. "Forward -- with me." he growled an order to the marauders behind him as he led the way.

There's more coming from that landing zone, he stated telepathically, intruding the Vahla's mind, flank them as we take their attention from the front.

Bring me more barbarians to collar, Infernum.

There's more coming from that landing zone.

Ugh. Why'd he have to do that? So intrusive.
Flank them as we take their attention from the front.

Did she look like a front-liner?
Very well oh King of Kings.
Sarcasm, all the way through the telepathic message.

She had better tread lightly and make herself scarce before the day was out - the chances of that Sith attempting to wring her neck were getting all too likely. She'd rather fade back into the shadows than risk her neck for a bit of curiosity. She had other ways of gathering information.

For now, however, she circled and dashed through the streets toward the LZ Acherus had spoken of.

Upon seeing the area, the assassin circled around it and remained hidden until the Sith's diversion was caused. That should be something to see. She had definitely felt some power that had seeped from him as he had turned those bolts back to the attackers. Would be something to see when that is completely unleashed.

It will definitely please Vahl.

Khael scowled in response to Volo's admonishment, thankfully hidden behind his buy'ce. Not at the Guildmaster, but in frustration at his own naivety. He had let his excitement get the better of him, and so took Volo's words seriously. This was no easy raid for the Mandalorians, Khael noting the similar scolded shifting of the other Mandalorians around him as the Guildmaster tried unsuccessfully to open the blast door ahead of them. Khael almost laughed when Volo said he was going to lift the door. It was made of what looked like solid durasteel, who knows how many tonnes of metal held up by one, while large, man? Not a chance.

The groaning of the metal resounded off the cavern walls as Volo levered the door open with his beskad.

"Well smack my shebs and call me a di'kut," Khael muttered under his breath just before Volo regarded him, then grunted two words. Before Khael could even respond the Guildmaster dropped his blade and caught the massive blast door in his hands, hefting it higher. Khael suppressed his amazement, instead rolling underneath the gap almost as soon as the door slapped into Volo's hands.

He switched his helmet's HUD to night vision mode even as he sprung to his feet, scanning round the walls for any sort of access console. In that instant, when the life of the Guildmaster rested on his swift actions, Khael was rooted to the spot. Images, sounds and emotions coursed through Khael's mind, almost too fast to follow, the darkness of the complex and the import of the moment entirely forgotten.

Howls of pain, flashes of a crimson blade, roars of anger all shuttered in Khael's mind's eye.

A rough shake tore Khael from his fantasy, briefly stunned and blinking stupidly.

"What are you doing, vod?" A Mandalorian demanded, one hand on Khael's shoulder and another on the butt of a holstered pistol, T-visor staring directly up at him. Khael batted away the warrior's arm instinctively. Another pair of Karjr had slipped under the gap still held open by Volo while Khael had been dreaming, finding the console and locking the blastdoor open.

"I'm - I saw...something, I'm not sure..." Khael growled. One word remained from his Vision, lodged in his thought-cage like an infestation.

"A'den..."

Solus was close to the ground, much closer than he wanted to be, but one of the forces was shooting the bolts of his comrades right back at them. In order to avoid them the warrior had to keep his head down and let gravity pull him below. A bolt barely grazed the side of his helmet.

“WAAHOO,” he cried out as he ignited the jet pack.

It was going to be close, and Solus was likely about to end his own life by missing the landing, but it would be a sure way to go out. His eyes fixed on a group of warriors under attack. His boots hit the ground and before he could think about how lucky he had been, Solus opened fire.

Was it futile? Perhaps it was, but the stream of steady fire was designed to get the attention away from others.

“Pick on someone your own size,” he shouted to the Sith.

The cross-guard saber twirled in half-circles repelling the hail of blaster fire coming in his direction. He stepped forward, marching on as a mobile cover for the marauders behind him.

A sulfuric glare greeted the Mandalorian's challenge that pierced through the tumult of battle. Foolish, but bold.

This one,
he telepathically stated to Ada before one hand left the handle of his blade and hurled telekinetically a dozen random items from his surroundings to bury the Mandalorian. Steel crates and barrels, loose speeder parts, and a plethora of construction materials lying around.

So much bravado.

More Mandalorians touched down, one almost overshooting his landing. But the arrogance with which that particular one arrived with was oh-so perfect.

"Pick on someone your own size,"
Really shouldn't have done that, Mando.
Ada watched as the taunt was only met with the fiery glare of the Sith, a smirk on her face.

This one

Oh yes, there we go. She thought it would be. Just sucked that he had to be so big.
Of course you'd want the biggest of the lot. It will be done.
With all the chaos on the landing area and Acherus drawing most of the attention, the Ember moved unnoticed by most around her. Like a cat from the shadows, she came close enough to the big brute of a Mandalorian that she attempted a leap toward his back, whipping out an elctro-prodder as she did so.

But unbeknownst to her, more warriors arrived to the scene in that very moment...

Shai had an unimpressed glare behind her visor as she watched the woman. Her only reaction came when she proclaimed herself to be ‘Kad Ha’rangir’ for them, a scoff as she idly tapped her pistols against her legs.

”Lady, you sound and look like you’re somewhere between your thirteenth birthday and three months overdue on a mortgage. Settle down.” She quipped, weighing her options. She needed to get the kids out of the way. The Sith finally made the first move, launching six little sawblades at the Wardog.

In response, a dozen whistling birds erupted from her boots to blow the blades apart. But she didn’t waste a second, raising her vambrace to fire a powerful burst from her repulsor. It wouldn’t do much against the Sith, but it would launch the kiddies a fair distance away. That was all that mattered. Finally her pistols came to life with a volley of particle bolts as her jetpack picked her up into the air.

"Heel, Boy."

”You got a lonely brain cell up there, schutta?!” She barked as she continued to fire explosive bolts at her, hovering around the woman. Her whipcord shot from her wrist in hopes of entangling her prey. Even if only for a moment.

To say that Volo, in his decades of wandering and roaming the galaxy's most nefarious and treacherous reaches, should have known better than to trust his gut was about as plain as saying that sand was coarse. He had thought that, with the boys' history, the newly redeemed Vhijaric Boy would prove to be an apt pupil. He had even thought of taking the boy to train himself.

It was all the Guildmaster could do not to scream at the prospect as he stood there, still as a mountain, whilst he himself kept the door from the floor as a mountain might keep the sky from the ground beneath. Yes, the exoskeleton was more than capable of holding the weight of the door a few moments longer, mayhaps a few hours, and yes, he had a way out should the circumstances become dire.

Had it not been for the Karjr, initially wary of the new recruit's hesitation, who had followed him and engaged the manual release... there was no telling whether the boy would have come to his senses before the door became too great a burden. As those locks found their grooves, and Volo found the weight shifting from him, he took a exploratory step forward; steadying himself whilst he stretched his arms.

Moving past the Karjr gathered on the other side of the door, he clapped the vod who had taken the initiative on the back, a soft thwack of leather on metal echoing a short distance through the ruins. Giving the hunter an encouraging push on the shoulder, he moved them along; raising his hand to for the others to move in, two to every corner and six serving vanguard just before the blastdoor.

He turned his attention back to the tag-along, regarding him once more through the visor. Though his buy'ce[1] filtered it out, even the typically-composed Guildmaster could not hide the single, visible heave of the chest that accompanied a sigh. Resting his hand on Khael's shoulder, his gaze seemed to soften just a little.

"Prove to me you're good for more than giving others the chance to better their ego." he spoke, his usual stoicism dampened by a brief moment of sincerity, "Tell me what you saw, vod[2]."

Of course, Volo could not ignore what he felt. A spirit broken and reforged. Power as raw as a freshly-skinned Nexu. It was a feeling he wasn't, all together, unfamiliar with... all the same, the amulet tucked beneath his gam[3] did him the favour of hiding his own Force Sensitivity; and he didn't intend to break the secret till it suited him..

Even so, whatever moment the two vod might've shared would be cut short. A faint tremor swept through the ground around them, loose stones and sediment falling from their perches in the roof overhead, as the Guildmaster pulled his hand away and uttered a curse.

"Mortar fire... Rosum!" as he called out for his demolitions expert, there was a noticeable quickening of pace amongst the hunters, each and every one steadying themselves. Some even drawing arms already. "Get the charges set, double time. I wanted to be off this rock before the fighting found us, but it looks as though the fates have bested me."

The infallible Rosum was already about his task, directing explosive-carrying Mandalorians to various structural points, even as he laid out his own charges. To their credit, the Karjr were acting almost as one; moving even before the words had fully left their senior's mouth. A rare moment of pride for the Guildmaster, but a moment he would have to savour at a later date.

Whilst his vod and verd[4] busied themselves, Volo had... suffice to say, different ideas of preoccupation. Turning on his heel, he held his sword-hand out to the side and, as he knew it would, his I'dadr soon found itself back where it belonged. Already he was walking, barely within earshot by the time he remembered to call for the aspirant.

"
Come, Khael, lest you want to be relegated to watching explosives laid. Hukaat'kama[5]."

With luck, the Chiss would be able to atleast live up to his minor fame as a warrior. Manda[6] knew he'd need every bit of skill, if the Guildmaster's guess was correct. With only the one, long hallway separating the segment of the ruins they were in from the rest, he hoped to catch whatever abominations the Maw sent off-guard; the darkness his ally.

Tegan's eyes closed and her feet planted firmly in the ground as Shai's vambrace was raise and the repulsor weapon fired. Tegan's feet slide back across the ground, yet her body remained up right as the children flew backwards. Tegan could feel the children fly away from her and she reached out, her right hand shot backwards from the forward position it had been in when it fired the Lanvarok. The Boy who had been right of her slowed and stopped as if caught by some invisible arm. Tegan left hand went in front of her saber with it's red blade out horizontally.

As Shai opened fire the boy came flying around his body used as a shield as the Mandalorian lifted off into the air firing. The boy's body went lifeless in moments as the particle bolts exploded into the body ripping it apart. One of the bolts struck the collar though deactivate still had explosives in it. As the whip cord was launched at Tegans feet danced around using the boy as a meat shield. The explosion sent meat chunks of the remain corpse all over and dust flew up in the air obscure direct sigh of the Tegan for a few seconds.

The whip Cord however caught and wrapped around Tegans left leg stripping her up knocking her to the ground. Her head slamming off the ground causing her to be dazed for a few seconds. Her saber fell from her hand and went bouncing across the sand. The whip cord pulled at her leg as Tegan sat up quickly and grabbed unto the cord her white gloved hand wrapping around it, she discharged a full charge from her eltro life gloves. The shock would kill her left Grav boot but that was a lose she was willing to take if it even shorted out the whip cord bracer, but Tegan wasn't finished as she even added a burst of Force shock as well to make the effect more likely amplifying the burst of electricity going up the whip cord.

"Mandalorians always getting the innocent killed. All helmet no brains!" She yelled out through the quickly dissipating cloud of smoke from the explosion giving away she was very much still alive.

Jas blinked as the freighter’s pilot answered back with a very familiar voice. And soon her name was made clear to him, earning a groan as he looked away. ”Of course it’s her.” He grumbled to himself, away from the microphone. :: Tauntaun, this is Hellion Naval Vessel seven-zero-one… I am commander Jas Katis. We are here to respond to a trespassing entity in this sector, it seems we are here for the same reason, then. :: He explained with a stern and professional voice, though he suspected that she would remember him from their short stint in the Nether.

:: Gwyneira, those vessels will tear you apart in moments, I highly advise you to dock on our ship until the situation has been dealt with. Our port side hangar is open and ready to receive you. :: He continued as he glanced at the Final Dawn vessels. They needed to get past them and get to the surface. The destroyers would deal with them.

”Herrix, you have the bridge. I’ll lead the landing party.” He marched off towards the port side hangar, where numerous soldiers were boarding a corvette along with a massive landing party of tanks, trucks and gunships to carry them all. Though he wasn’t going to wait for the snarky Arkanian to dock someday. Herrix could entertain her. Sliding his helmet on, he stepped up to the bridge of the corvette as it took off through the open hangar bay, blasting towards the planet’s surface.

The moment they entered the atmosphere, several gunships took off from its hangar towards the small mining town.

:: Alright greenies, remember! Mawites are kill on sight. Make sure your IFF’s are set to friendly, we don’t want another Lyran on our hands. :: He ordered his men as they tore through the air in their gunships. Soldiers checked their rifles and crewmen fired up the engines of their tanks and trucks. It was a horrendous waste of resources, but the last time they faced the Maw in close quarters without armour was a very bad day for the Hellions. Some were still recovering from Mustafar.

The gunships swept low and the troopers disembarked, immediately pushing up with weapons at the ready to engage the encircling Mawites. And their entrance was as bombastic as one could expect.

Thunderous booms and the crackling of repeaters was complemented by volleys of blaster bolts as they made first contact with the Maw. Jas was right in the front, only breaking off with a squad to clear out an alleyway. His gaze shifted to a Mandalorian coming down with weapons at the ready, though it didn’t feel like he encountered a bunch of Mawites.

He could feel their darkness.

Jas broke away from his group with his rifle at the ready. His force signature was masked as always, so for all intents and purposes he was just another mercenary. Though he had a feeling that it was going to change very soon. He finally found the Mandalorian squaring off with two Sith. He didn’t waste a moment to flick his rifle over and fire a hail of particle bolts at the two Sith. ”Aren’t you punching a little above your weight class, Mandalorian?” He spoke up as he ducked behind cover, firing another volley at the pair.

The ground by which Kragr's judgement impacted, sundered an incredibly large area around the impact, into pieces around them. Not only did the Warhammer sunder the ground it hit, but a shockwave of a sonic shattering boom filled the air as the very ground cracked with long winding scars beneath their feet in every direction. The moment the giant ginger-haired warrior had missed his ambush, he immediately turned. "You talk too much aruetii" stated Kragr with a chilling stare of death and bull-charged Kralmus with a roar, seeing the other Mandalorian going in for a powerful overhead swing, but also extremely telegraphed.

With an internal curse by falling for the fainted attack, he had too much speed to break it off in time and twisted round instead to face Kralmus' real attack with particularly clever use of a kneepad rocket dart launcher. Out of pure reflexes, he activated the Energy shield function on the vambrace just in time to get hit by a salvo of Kralmus' rocket darts, knocking Kragr off balancing causing him to hit a wall.

Seeing the incoming axe attack from Kralmus, Kragr with a low position of his hand, launched a wrist rocket on point blank range at Kralmus. Either it connected directly into the red-clad Mandalorian's chest and explode with a powerful ball of fiery death or Kralmus would dodge the rocket and have it explode behind him and hit his back.

Nevertheless, Kragr raised his energy shield, preparing for getting blown back through the house he currently was crashed up against, or use the opportunity of distraction to take a ruthless swing of his mace at Kralmus.

"Wait, Lesha, these things have a limited—"

Much as he wanted to save the fuel in his jetpack, it was no use, as their method of rapid response was quickly decided upon. He shook off Lesha's grip, his own pack activating as soon as he was clear of her to cover the ground quickly even as he hoped he wouldn't end up wanting it any time soon. Upon arrival, of course, he started to think he'd definitely be wanting it soon.

Not that he had much time to voice that thought, or even ask why in Hell the Maw was on Argovia, before a mortar shot was loosed and the battle begun. "Sithspit," he muttered to himself, watching one of the two leaders fall away with the blast and shrapnel, the other standing utterly unperturbed. "I hate it when they do that." When small artillery units turned to face them instead, he quickly grabbed a thermal detonator off his belt, slamming it into the mag sling on his left vambrace and sending it rocketing towards one of the speeder-mounted launchers.

Before quickly rolling back down the small hill he and Lesha had crawled up, to avoid the retaliatory explosives that started landing around them. "Kay!" he growled into his commlink, getting his droid's attention. "Come to my position, by the old sensor complex. I need you to make a strafing run and come blast some Maw speeders into the dirt!" His droid burbled back an affirmative, and before cutting the comm feed he could hear the rumble as the ship started to quickly blast through the atmosphere. It'd be a few moments before it could arrive, but hopefully they'd be able to take care of the ones making the barrage before that.

If Sars' team had any snipers that could take out the ones manning the technicals, then Kay could blast them before they were up and running again, setting off their explosives in the middle of the Maw forces and clearing a way for the Mandos to run in. Great plan, if it worked out that well. "Lesha, Sars, you got any identification of the two in the lead there?"

The transport swerved to a stop, hovering over the landing zone. Juno leapt from the mouth of the debarkation ramp, jetpack roaring as she soared up and towards the Sith, hooded cloak fluttering wildly, satchel tight to her hip. Her taozin amulet was warm against her chest. As she gained height, she surveyed the battlefield.

Commandos gathered in bunches behind what cover they could. Solus Beroya eschewed cover, however, sending a storm of blaster bolts down range. Another man joined him, Jas Katis Jas Katis , particle bolts spewing from the end of his weapon, providing Solus with some much needed cover. He definitely wasn't a Mandalorian, she noticed- the armor wasn't right.

One of the Mawites, Darth Acherus Darth Acherus , a tall, sharp faced man, parried and reflected every blaster bolt sent his way, dense lines of marauders marching behind him. Definitely a high value target. His saber was a blur of solid, streaking red, and he looked completely and utterly unconcerned. Beneath her buy'ce, she grinned. This will be a worthy fight. She could feel it in her bones.

...one hand left the handle of his blade and hurled telekinetically a dozen random items from his surroundings to bury the Mandalorian. Steel crates and barrels, loose speeder parts, and a plethora of construction materials lying around.

Fething hell! Guess this lot aren't playing around. She flew closer, over the heads of her vod, keeping a steady height of about twenty feet up, then slipped her Verpine shatter pistol free from its holster. She aimed carefully, even as her right dipped into her satchel.

...the Ember moved unnoticed by most around her. Like a cat from the shadows, she came close enough to the big brute of a Mandalorian that she attempted a leap toward his back, whipping out an elctro-prodder as she did so.

But unbeknownst to her, more warriors arrived to the scene in that very moment...

Juno hadn't even noticed her creeping up, too busy watching the other Sith. She frowned at herself. Focus, Juno! She'd gotten lax after capturing Gorba and defeating Karkosuchus and Sars Sarad. The lapse was unacceptable.

Quickly, she adjusted her aim and squeezed off a shot, the rapport more quiet than a whisper, but she already knew the shot would go wide. It smacked the ground beneath the leaping Ada Infernum Ada Infernum instead, kicking up a geyser of ferrocrete dust.

The moment Shai realized what the woman was doing, it was too late to alter course. Her particle bolts tore into the poor boy, shredding his little body with explosive power while she yanked him about with the Force. Her eyes went wide as her heart sank, memories of long ago flooded into her mind like starship fuel, sparking a feral hatred that had grown cold in the past few months.

A vile snarl rumbled from her throat as she felt her whipcord find its mark, and without skipping a beat she spun around as her jetpack roared against her back. With inhuman strength she flung the Sith head first into a wall before disconnecting the cord, just as she felt a tingle building through her vambrace. The Sith could electrocute herself if she wanted. The Wardog’s mission had changed.

Using the momentum from the swing, she blasted off and grabbed hold of the little girl, disappearing around a corner as she carefully removed the bomb collar. :: Baby, on me! :: She called out as she flew over the carnage in the town. A howl rumbled overhead, signifying her Basilisk’s arrival. ”Take her away. Keep her safe.” She ordered, resting the traumatized child in the cockpit.

Her attention shifted back to the Sith. Rage boiled inside her as she zoomed back, firing her last missile at the Sith as she rapidly closed the distance. ”You’re in for it now, lady!” She barked, firing at her with sonic bolts from her two pistols.
