I read on their FAQ that Shadow of Revan will be released free to play on the 27th October, but then I read that you're allowed early access beginning on the 20th if you've been a subscriber between the 10th August - 19th October.

You had to be a subscriber through each of the times necessary to get the associated unlock. So I believe Nico Okarr was like, August 10th? You had to be subscribed on that day. And then if the next was September 30th, you had to be subbed on that day, too. Didn't matter about in between. But those days specifically. You can find it here. If you nailed all those dates, you got early access. Has it on here.

But specifically

Choose to be a Subscriber from August 10 to October 19 to receive the Early Access Bonus Reward!
Also, I'm Ebon Hawk, Wesslie/Wesslee - Sniper/Powertech respectively.

I usually mute gen chat because it's usually nonsense, but thanks for the tip!

And...there's an update in 8 hours too. Hopefully it will just be a small one.
It was a tiny one. Got back all my useless protocol droids which had been missing. Lol

You enjoying KOTFE? What' did you pick as your start on level 60 character?

So far the KotFE has been pretty good. A few bugs here and there, but nothing I couldn't get past. I'm now scouring the galaxy looking for companions new and old. Darth Marr delivers a Killer line at the End of Chapter 9.

Update!

Ebon Hawk:

(Republic)
Emiery - Level 59 Sentinel
Ibaris - Level 23 Sage - Not accepting play partners.
Evest - Level 15 Guardian

(Empire)
Hrethir - Level 29 Operative
Hrethik - Level 19 Sorcerer

Shadowlands:

(Republic)
Meeristali - Level 15 Guardian

I don't think that is a very good development. One of the biggest problems with the 12x thing they did this year was it created an abundance of 60s that are undergeared and don't know what they're doing because they leveled so fast. In fact it's one of the major reasons why I stopped playing (aside from nothing else to do). It was incredibly difficult to find a group of 60s for Hard Mode FPs that were actually geared properly.

All bad developments, in my opinion... all it does is continue to over-saturate the endgame with level 60 noobs (for lack of a better term, not to sound like an elitist).

They need to get rid of the 12x thing, and the insta-60 certainly doesnt help this problem, even if it's just one character.

What they need to do is actually reward you with relevant gear in FPs and Operations that will actually prepare you for the next level. For example, why do HM FPs drop garbage 184 gear, sometimes 192 if you're lucky? Chances are if you're in a HM to begin with, you're already geared well beyond this (or at least you should be). What we have now (at least last time I played) is that Flashpoint drops are almost completely useless. NPC them, maybe give them to a companion at best.

Instead of rushing people to 60, they should instead fix the glaring problem of gearing. Make drops actually useful rather than handing out levels like they're Halloween candy.

You do sound like an elitist.

I can tell you, I'd have never gotten to level 50, let alone 60 without the 12x levelling up for 5 of my characters. For people like me without as much time I do not want to spend months levelling like I did with my Knight and Warrior. That's what made me stop subscribing.

But then, I don't do Ops, Flashpoints (except plot ones in forged alliances) or PVP...so I don't really care.

We each play it in our own way, and my way involves enjoying being able to level without endless grinding of mobs to de-noob me.

[member="Valiens Nantaris"] You're calling me an elitist while also presuming that your time is more valuable than mine. Being that you've never experienced endgame content, you've never had to endure the following scenario on repeat, ad nauseam:

>Wait 30 minutes in queue for HM FP to pop
>Finally get a group, however with a bunch of people way too undergeared for a HM
>Spend 30 minutes making it to the final boss, only to wipe repeatedly because the group is too weak
>Everyone drops out, you get nothing but an hour of wasted time, frustrating play and 30k in repairs down the drain

My issue with "noobs" is not because they're a lower level. It's because they waste everybody's time when they're too undergeared for endgame content and yet queue anyway. Play how you want, but at least have the decency to not screw up the game for other people. Instead of fixing this, it seems BioWare is instead doing the exact opposite of what will fix the problem.

My time is more valuable. :p
(That was a joke...)

You're right, that's never, ever been a problem or a concern for me.

I get that if you do that sort of thing...IE use it as a MMO rather than a singleplayer RPG...that it might be a problem. However, from my perspective I could not care less.

Besides, the 12x didn't cause that issue. I remember back when I first subbed in 2012 that people were complaining about noobs then. People in multiplayer games are by definition elitist in that they only want people as good as them to play. Everyone starts low however.

Should they increase rewards to allow getting more stuff? Sure. That's not a panacea though, this is TOR's chance to reclaim some subscribers, and they'll only do that and keep them if they can easily keep people hooked.

[member="Valiens Nantaris"] 12x definitely exacerbated the problem. There was a noticeable change in the queues in the months after 12x took effect. As more and more people rushed to 60, you started to see more undergeared toons in queue, sometimes entire groups, and as a result FPs became harder to complete. Specifically HMs.

I see this new development as only making the problem worse. If you want to make it easy to get to 60, fine. But at least change the drops in FPs or give players gear in quest rewards that will actually be viable in endgame content. Being level 60 isn't much good if you can't properly do any of the level 60 content.

My only disappointment with this so far is that I did every single companion romance available to male characters, and then I don't think you can get any of 'em back, now...

Gotta say, my Wrath asking the emperor if he was trying to come onto him made me giggle.

Yes, I've recovered none of my Agent's crew yet - but I can get Lokin when I complete that quest.
You receive the same recruits regardless...except in the case of Pierce/M4 in which case you get the one tied to your faction.
