-Considerably Crippled Without the Force - a fault of his nonhuman genetics. Much of what he is capable of (such as the reduced need for sleep, the height of his power, his self-control, etc.) is possible because of the uniqueness of his species connection to the Force. To lose it would be a significant detriment to his whole being. It would be… ugly.
APPEARANCE:
Ilias is a tall, broad shouldered man, of fair skin, red hair, and blue eyes, with the highly athletic musculature of a hunter and warrior… yet, the manner of a gentleman, and a persistent aura of calm and peace.
BIOGRAPHY:
Jefsran Hallas, the elder in a set of identical twins with his younger brother, Jeric Hallas, was born some fifty-one years prior to the Battle of Yavin to the Jedi Master Oriadne Hallas, a Morellian who, due to the declining numbers of Morellians in the galaxy, was free from the vow of non-attachment. She held out on procreating for almost two centuries on her dedication to the Jedi Order and the Jedi Code, living with the thinking that she would only allow herself to bear children if she were to meet another Morellian, as this was the entire reason for her not being bound to the vow, but a fault in her contraceptive and an unforeseen bond, a flash in the pan, with man she knew as Grypphin Whyte resulted in the conception of twin boys that, in the case of one, would long outlive her.
Knowing her duty as a Jedi upon realising that the elder of the two boys was Force-Sensitive (mandatory midichlorian testing would thereafter confirm it), she gave him into the care of her own master, the half-Shi’ido Adathar Nytrau, who in turn settled Jefsran with the caretakers of Jedi younglings. Unlike when Adathar and his master, Szal Murn, discovered Oriadne as a babe, and Adathar (a padawan at the time) felt a strange connection to her fate, this time Adathar could be present as an instructor of Jedi Initiates, his ‘retirement’ after many decades out in the field. Maybe this was part of that strange connection, too.
When Jefsran was old enough to understand his background, and the vow of non-attachment, he chose to take the name of Ilias Nytrau to put down separation between himself and the woman that birthed him, but also honoured the man that had ultimately been a father to her, and him, in the Jedi way.

Ilias had to fight a battle for control of his mind and body, and thankfully, he succeeded. This control is paramount, and he cannot live in civil society without it.
He trained almost ceaselessly, becoming a strong warrior and valued healer for the Jedi Order, until the Clone Wars, and the fateful Order 66. After this, he went into hiding, making a life for himself far from the reach of the Galactic Empire. For most of the following eight-hundred years, he worked as he had been raised to do, ever upholding the tenets of being a Jedi, despite having to bury family and many friends over the centuries.
He traveled far and wide, eventually coming to the planet of Tyntia, almost beyond the reach of the galaxy, electing to settle in one place for a while, on the basis of the peace he felt there. Ilias founded an academy in the mountain ranges of the world, remained on Tyntia, instructing generations of adepts, and gained membership among one of the tribes of the planet. He learned their ways, adopted much of their religion as his own, and was content. Until, that is, the day came that he felt it was time to travel once again. The Force, it seemed, had called him out into the galaxy, as it pulled itself from the ravages of the Gulag Plague. A Jedi's work is never done.
Nowadays, Ilias is simply a representative of the Jedi Academy Network, and is likely to appear wherever Jedi congregate, to train, advise, and render aid.

FORCE POWERS:
The strengths of Ilias Nytrau as a Force user have always laid in the area of control and derivatives of meditation. He is an innate healer, this being the apex of his skill in the Force. Through dedicated, unwavering focus and mastery of himself, he accesses other skills. The fire-haired hybrid is also a skilled combatant, an end to which he is predisposed by virtue of his genetic makeup.
He has no talent for Mind Trick and its derivatives, nor is he a reliable teacher of them beyond his own conceptual understanding of how such things work. However, his mental barriers are nigh impenetrable. Furthermore, there are abilities within his skillset that he does not use lightly. He is a man of consideration, and conscience, always aware of the potential consequences of his actions. The Force is his guide, an old, trusted friend, and a tool to be used wisely. To that end, he is also very selective in who he teaches certain abilities to. He is a fair judge of character, and will take the measure of another individual with great consideration before imparting particular sets of knowledge.

COMBAT:
The overarching ‘purpose’ to the life of Ilias, as he would say, is to serve others, in the capacities of save, protect, prevent, and defend. As a healer and a warrior, primarily, he accomplishes these things well.

OTHER TALENTS:
Being a Jedi is not the be-all and end-all of who this man is. He has acquired many other often supplementary skills, but these are the ones that stand out the most.
Hunting and Tracking: Initially a skill born of tracking dark-side adversaries in times long past, it has become a skill more defined by his time amongst the tribes of Tyntia, where he learned to track and hunt a quarry, time after time, in support of the tribe in which he had become a member.
Mastery of Self: This is borne more of a requirement of his genetic makeup, but he knows himself, and has a masterful control of himself, to the depths of his being.
Methods of the Kill: With his knowledge of the physiology of countless species, he can heal to an exacting degree… but there is always another side to this coin, one of which he is deeply aware, and does not violate lightly.
Unwavering Focus: Was it the Chicken, or the Egg? Does he have unwavering focus because of his habit (and skill) in meditation, or is he accomplished in that area because he has unwavering focus? We will never know. Suffice to say, he is not the easiest to distract... or sneak up on, for that matter.
Auras: Not only can he discern alignment to miniscule detail, auras also give him an impression of the health of the person before his eyes. Between his memory of faces, and auras, he can also discern the parentage of an individual, with the right prior knowledge.
Eidetic Memory: Remembers everything acquired with his physical senses, as well as with his Force sense. He can retain and recall the particular nuances of another person’s signature and presence in the Force. Basically, once he has met you, he does not forget you.
Medical Knowledge: He has over the years enhanced his knowledge as a healer in the Force with more traditional means of healing the body, without the Force. To this end, he has acquired vast knowledge of medical practices, and has to an extent dabbled in herbology - though this particular end tends to benefit his tea-drinking habit, more than anything else.
