SWTOR

Who's tried The Fallen Empire DLC yet? All I can tell you is that it's mad. Cutscenes are awesome too. I've only played the the first 3 chapters of the Outlander story and so far have been impressed. For Early Access subscribers you get one free start at level 60 character which you can make as anything. I've picked Jedi Sage. I've already upped to level 61. Character name is Kixi-rajki. :)

Hmmph, still downloading it (and the inevitable file repairs) on my crappy link. Going to be another full 24 hours before it's finished downloading. -_-

But then I'll be able to play it and tell you!

How're you finding the gameplay changes, [member="Kixi Rajki"]?

[member="Slice Spiralflame"], [member="Valiens Nantaris"]. I'm in Australia too. Internet is mega fast if you already have NBN (National Broadband Network), like I do. Eventually all Australians will have it once it's fully rolled out. The problem with SWTOR is their servers. With everyone downloading the fallen empire around the world at the same time, it slows everything down. This never happens with the even bigger parches/DLCs for ESO however. That's cos they use megasevers perhaps.

Anyway I already knew that in Australian eastern standard time the downtime for all swtor servers yesterday was between 8:30pm and 2am. I also knew that pre-patching would probably begin 2 hours before. This was important cos not many people know about that. I started downloading the fallen empire patch at around 12:30am. Because most people would've waited until after 2am, or whatever time that was for them in their part of the world, I was able to initially download most of the 8.64 GB patch at over 2mb/s. It did slow down once others started downloading. In fact the last 1 GB took 3 hours! Ironic when the first 7 or so GB had taken less than 2 hours. Lol I just went to bed and it was ready in the morning when I woke up.

Valiens as for the game changes. Haven't really looked too much into it. Probably because I was playing only the story part or the Outlander part. I have noticed changes however. Like when you press N to bring up all your companions it's different. Btw you are gona laught at this. When I loaded 2 of my existing characters, Kira the companion to my Jedi Sentinel Rajki had no pants on. Really she didn't! Same was the case with my other companion the Doc. And same was the case with Mako when I loaded my Powertech Kixi-Ratnik. I didn't load the other 2 characters I have, the Sith and Gunslinger, but I reckon it's the same with them too. Also for both my Jedi sentinel and Powertech, my protocol droids were gone. Not that I cared as they were useless. Ive never used them.

-_- You and your NBN....

I'm on the outer verge of Sydney and there is no planned date to get it installed for us. Grr.

Still, not like I can play much on the week nights anyway.
You gotta hate politics. They promised, that's the Gillard government that if they won, which back then they did, that the nbn would first be rolled out in country rural areas and outer city areas where connections were worst. Well I had cable which was just as quick as nbn before I had to change to nbn. So why did I get it before you? Flaming lying politicians! They're all Sith Lords without the Force if you ask me.

So I bought subscription for SWTOR around a week ago, mostly so I could continue my Sith Marauders story. On the first of subscription I did the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion straight away and had that done within two days. After that, I realized Shadow of Revan and Rise of the Emperor expansions had to be bought on top of the subscription, which I thought was a liberty.

So the new Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion is meant to make all of the expansions free to play. I've just done the Prelude: Shadow of Revan stories (Forged Alliances) but my character never went up in level.

I read on their FAQ that Shadow of Revan will be released free to play on the 27th October, but then I read that you're allowed early access beginning on the 20th if you've been a subscriber between the 10th August - 19th October.

I'm bare confused because it's not giving me the early access. Other than the weekly heroics/tactical missions, it looks like I've done everything with my class. So the only thing I have left to do is my normal class stories for my other characters. But I'm kind of pissed off because I wanted to continue playing my Marauder into Shadow of Revan/Rise of the Emperor and then into the newest expansion.

Is anyone else having the same problems? Not picking at you specifically Andy, but you said that anyone who subscribes early gets everything (according to EA) and I haven't got it, so what's going on? lol
I asked this question on another forum I ask, but I'll ask it here as well.

Bet you're in a swing electorate.

I'm in one with a 30% Liberal majority, so no one needs to buy my vote.

*Bitter*
Actually I am in an area dominated by labor. Too many ethnics like me where I live. Everyone mostly votes for Labor. Although me personally, I don't care. They're all the same liars if you ask me.

Btw with SWTOR KOTFE, I just played it for a bit. A bit buggy. I had to go back to the med droid after I lost a fight against a big boss too many times. It put me in an area where I was locked out! An area that I could only or supposed to go into after beating this massive bug creature boss. Couldn't even reset the mission. Luckily my Strongholds for my other Jedi Sentinel Rajki is accessible to all my SWTOR characters. So all I did was got my Jedi Sage Kixi-rajki travel to the stronghold, then travel back to the mission and it took me back to the start. Then I defeated the boss and moved on. Lucky I knew how to think outside the square otherwise I would've been stuck. This was the Chapter 4 Graveyard mission.

Btw I noticed something else. I went through to all my existing characters. All the companions were without pants. Corso Riggs my Gunslinger Ratnik's companion was totally naked! All companions were also without weapons. Anyway good thing is that you can put it all back on them. There stuff is just in the inventory. Also there is a bonus. For all my existing characters, all their companions now have been given around double the XP or health that they had before. This is awesome. Out of nothing, all my companions are now double as strong than previously.

I'm all good. I have been a subscriber since early 2012 or when the game first came out. I had no problems with early access. If you are supposed to have early access and stuff is missing, I would suggest to contact their support.

I dunno - I kinda liked it better when the sith Empire was the big bad evil, now its just blur again.
Yeah it's a blur alright. I'm a Jedi Sage and i fight along side Darth Marr against a common foe. Another Sith Emperor. Already forgot the name. He kills Darth Marr, and then that emperor dude's evil son kills him and blames me. I get put in carbonate and then have a Sith called Lana Beniko, and apprentice of Darth Marr rescue me. So then it's me and her, Jedi and Sith fighting together side by side. I like it don't get me wrong, but it all sounds messed up to me this Jedi-Sith ally stuff.

I'v actually played to chapter nine. However its hard to review or talk about it, without give away any important spoilers, as a lot happens in this story line.

Have to say, when it comes to game features, I'm really liking what they've put in. Might just convince me to continually subscribe. In fact, my server, the Harbinger crashed early. I assume from the high influx of players.
