SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Sonic Shield - Not only capable of protecting its wearer’s sensitive ears from sonic attack, the Starlight Dress has a transparent shield weave which is tuned to defend against sonic waves, especially those which might otherwise cause organ damage. In this regard, while it is not immune, the Starlight Dress offers a very robust defense against sonic weaponry, allowing the wearer to withstand these attacks to a limited degree.
  • Storm Dancer - The Starlight Dress is hardened against Ion and EMP-based assaults, allowing it to maintain a high degree of reliability under conditions of interference which might otherwise disable much of its electronics.
  • Energy Aegis - The Starlight Dress is very resistant to energy weapons.
  • Crimson Chroma - Owing to the incorporation of Norris root dye, which gives the Starlight Dress its matte crimson coloration, the outfit offers a high degree of protection against lightsabers.
  • Kinetic Armor - In spite of the Starlight Dress’s graceful appearance, it is quite robust in defending against kinetic attacks, owing to the transparent shield weave and and the Anti-Shank Cloth.
  • Electromancer - First Sister’s affinity with Force Lightning and other electricity-based manifestations of the Force was a major element in the design of the Starlight Dress. As such, the outfit is very resistant to electricity, providing the wearer with some peace of mind should her powers be turned against her.
  • Night Lightning - Featuring an integrated Taozin skin nodule, Sith Runes, a cloaking device, a stealth polymer coating, along with other systems, the Starlight Dress offers its wearer an unparalleled degree of stealth, allowing her to in many respects, hide within plain sight.
WEAKNESSES
  • Bone Chill - The Starlight Dress's performance in defending its wearer from weaponized cold leaves much to be desired. While its protection is better than nothing, the wearer is better off depending on an external system to defend against this class of weapon.
  • Acerbic Affliction - Unfortunately, acid weapons are very effective at eating through the protective material to harm the wearer directly, potentially inflicting a host of dangerous effects.
  • Mechanical Mutation - While lacking some of the more demanding systems present in most First United Astral Engineering armor models, the Starlight Dress still has a degree of advanced technology and automation. A skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru could feasibly disable these systems and put the wearer at a disadvantage, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the bodysuit.
  • Inflamed - The Starlight Dress provides less than adequate protection against heat and fire-based weapons. Unfortunately, this is a weakness that must be managed or accounted for, especially given the ubiquity of flamethrower weapons in many types of gauntlets.
  • Neck Piece - The neck piece houses sensitive electronics, defensive projectors, targeting assistance, sensors, and other support systems. While resilient, damage to this part could compromise these functions, leaving the wearer deprived of head protection, sensors, and other utility functions.
  • Weaponized Radiation - While the Starlight Dress is capable of protecting its wearer from background radiation in the environment, it does a poor job in protecting its wearer from weaponized radiation, due to it being far more concentrated than radiation in an environment or a vacuum.
  • Force Nullification - The Art of the Small Runes can be nullified or reduced in effectiveness under Force-neutral or Force-dampened conditions.
DESCRIPTION
Christened in reference to the nickname given to her by Tara Willows, the Starlight Dress is First Sister’s combat ensemble—a protective outfit equipped with a veritable horde of features and systems designed to enhance its wearers capabilities in the field. An array of Feilong Repulsors not only enhance mobility, but also utility in granting First Sister a wide range of options which take advantage of their capabilities. Stealth is enhanced by a cloaking device, a stealthy polymer coating, integrated Taozin skin nodules, and specialized Sith Runes which minimize the Force presence of the wearer and the outfit. In spite of its appearance (especially pertaining to the wearer’s ‘exposed’ midriff), the Starlight Dress protects every part of First Sister’s body, with the ‘exposed’ areas being covered through the transparent shield weave and the energized neck piece. Finally, the wearer can control the outfit’s functions via the neural interface, allowing her to react to incoming hazards during fights at the speed of thought.

All in all, the Starlight Dress is hoped to serve as an advanced combat ensemble, designed to protect the Black Iron Tyrant’s favored electromancer as she carries out her duties in furthering the Eclipsing Mission.
