- Built to serve as a main line boarding armor for Jaeger affiliated customers, the "Mars" is a powerful asset in Zero-G environments; but added to that, it even has the possibility to lock itself into an 'atmosphere reentry' mode. This secondary mode allows it to drop from orbit, lock the armor joints, and provide the wearer with a specialized energy absorption liner that will allow them to survive the impact. This allows for powerful, immediate infiltration of targets reachable by orbit.

- Along with its powerful flexibility in both naval boarding and orbit to ground infiltration, the armor itself is highly resistant to all conventional forms of damage - meaning that a squad of 'Mars' equipped soldiers is a force to be recked with, especially considering that armor is often only given to special force commando units.
- Backdoor -
- While the system can fight off most standard forms of combat, the lack of any onboard AI limits its ability to fight off hacking attempts. Generally, this isn't an issue in most situations; but using the backdoor in its operating system can have disastrous effects on its electronic systems, or even its own communication assets - assuming nobody realizes what happens.
- Eat The Bones -
- Due to the lack of 'particles' in the atmosphere, the paint used on the 'Mars' was not built to resist corrosive agents. While normal ones may be shrugged off before damage is done, advanced weaponized agents can melt through the armor - nullifying its vaccumn seal and destroying any integrity it still held.
Following a number of foreclosures on IGBC space assets, including freighters and shipyards, Maliphant required a measure to take back these liens and reinstate the IGBC’s power over those that borrowed money from it. In this, he had the IGBC Security Bureau turn to the Jaeger R&D department in the hopes of creating a set of armor it could give to its ‘Repo-Men’. It was through this the SA-18 ‘Mars’ first found traction.
Built around the concept of naval boarding actions and en masse capture of space assets, the Mars is a monster in the close confines of ship hallways. Able to resist atmospheric venting, generalized radiation, and nearly impervious to various forms of small arms fire, the SA-18 works exactly as it is meant to; to cripple enemy ships with little casualties. Even when faced with the legendary Lightsaber, the SA-18 can go toe to toe with the users, maximizing their ability to fight back with the likes of its exoskeleton and powered joints.
All in all, this makes the ‘Mars’ an exceptional model for naval combat, and for the IGBC it also looks to be the answer to their repossession problem. While Blackwell Security Forces can provide general muscle and security for corporate locations, its the Hell Jumpers in the ‘Mars’ that will truly cement the IGBC as a bank you can not turn your back on when the bills come due.
