[Republic Remnant] Safe Harbor

The idea of an Imperial incursion was somewhat silly, but the man had a point. If the Imperial of the Restored Galactic Empire or even that of the Sith Empire had heard of this, an invasion was defiantly possible. The intelligence community that they had must have had some interesting cards up their sleeves. His own Intelligence contacts such as the Dia Shadow and his buyers on Kamino had sent him no warning. Thus the man decided to laugh the idea off as the mandalorian was hoping for.

"Well this would be the best time to rebuild for the Republic, most opposing parties are currently off fighting in the Wars and the Mandalorian Crusades of our blood occupy worlds from this corner of the galaxy."

Jaster and the Force user [member="Mereel Vaun"] were interrupted by yet another Force User. The air around the man was that of the righteous and it was easy to tell by the Lightsaber hanging from his waist. The man seemed like a fun yet easy fight, but he was trying to be an example for his clan and was too old for that stuff now. "The Chancellor and Senator are in the meeting currently, go ahead and take a seat," Jaster kicked out a seat for the man to join them at the Bar. The man would not join them for a Drink, not that Jaster could even if he wanted to. "I am negosiating the joining of the Dominion Army Loyal to the Old Republic as well as support of the Awaud Clan, so far it looks like the Republic will have a decent sized army to protect itself,.... with training of course." He looked to Vaun as he said this like he was wishing that poor sob good luck.

Not exactly what he was expecting but in the end this was the main reason that he was trying to avoid fighting bandits on muddy hellholes. As he took a seat he decided it would be bet for him to drink also... it was not exactly something that he usually did, not so much out of a sense of code but most of the time he simply just didn't have the time. Usually most of what he drank was water that was treated in some fashion. It's not exactly like you get paid in his line of work.

"Do you have Tarisian Ale?" he said to the bartender, who shook his head. 'worth a try' Belizarius thought as he went on to order the cheapest ale that was available. He got a datapad out and starting to read, the movement of his pupils quickly skimming over the screen before he was moving to the next page.

"Well guess all I can do is be patient" in many ways [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] was correct though it wasn't so much righteous but a somewhat idealism quite often found in the youth which helped motivate Belizarius. He wasn't a Jedi who was fighting for truth and justice in the galaxy... but he would be happy to fight for trying to get people some sort of bright future to look too out in these regions. He has seen the refugee camps littered across already poor planets, nomadic fleets of people constantly trying to flee further and further way from the next warzone.

Even his home of Taris, sure it was not a pretty sight even when he was a child (destroyed buildings and half-repaired buildings do that) but last time it was there so many people had already ran from the planet to get away from a possible attack by the Sith. He couldn't help these people as just a lone-wandering Jedi, travelling and taking out the occasional raider gang... but maybe he could help people by putting his skillset where it could be better utilized.

Kolab likewise gave a quick glance around in search of the one who was supposed to be in command of common cannon fodder like himself. Spotting no ground commander the Barabel sought out anyone who looked to hold some sort of position above the average grunt. But, sadly, no such person was found. Although this was to be expected for such a time of turbulence between the shattered fragments of the old Republic being swept up and attempted to be repaired by these new comrades of theirs. Most of the pieces were there, true, but exactly who would be putting those jagged [pieces together had yet to be determined. Or better yet, everyone would be expected to pull some of the weight of this burden.

“Where is the commander?” He mumbled before giving that forked tongue of his a click or two. Giving up on this pursuit as quickly as it began, it was figured to be a lost endeavor. Either a commander would show up top rally the troops or they wouldn’t. Time would certainly tell.

In the end Kolab turned his full attention back to Ever, snapped a quick salute that left much to be perfected in its form, figured to get introductions entirely wrapped up. “Kolab Shansaash, reporting to...the only person who seems to know what is going on. Ready for reassignment to whatever battle group needs the most support. Vanguard? You got it. Marines? Who doesn’t enjoy the risk of getting spaced? Artillery? Boom-shaka-laka!”

Having been lost in that ramble, he’d not noticed Priscilla had left until after the fact. Yet he still raised one scaled hand and gave it a broad, energetic wave in the direction she had moved off in. His best guess was that was where the higher ups were having their meeting. Not something he’d be sorry to miss. Lots of talking. Lots of massive egos. Very, very little action. The most interesting thing that were likely to happen at talks like those was one of the diplomats spilling water on the freshly pressed suit of another. And -that- would be the most interesting event.

Ever could only blink when Kolab came up to her. Why did everyone assume she was in charge of everything. She didn't understand it, save that it might be because her people were mostly still securing the area. That being the case, she was still confused because Nadiem wasn't officially part if the Republic yet, she didn't think, which meant that she and her rangers werent even part of the Republic military yet. But oh well.

"Nadiem isn't even part of the Republic yet. I can't really direct you," she said, looking around for Priscilla but not seeing her. "I'd suggest you'd be good with the Marines, though. Would scare me to have you running down a tight corridor at me."

She hadn't said that to be mean or anything. It would be frightening to have him come after her in tight quarters. Not that she meant it with xenophobic connotations, but she waved her hands all the same.

"I don't mean anything by that for the record. Just meant you're quite imposing. Good to scare the enemy, right?"
