Dominion Red Dead Slaves - SJO Dom of Myrkr

Silver Arrow

Guest
S
Myrkr has become home to slavers and smugglers working with the Sith and need to be stopped, the Silver Shadows have located the major slavers and smugglers working with the Sith have been located in several locations for where these criminals might be hiding. Around the planet is plant life that is new to the SJO gardens and there are rumours that some might contain healing properties that could be ideal for Jedi Healers to study and understand their properties for taking back and growing in the healing gardens on Kashyyyk. Another rumour that has reached SJO ears is that the infamous K Kaine Australis has been found lurking on the planet. Diplomats have been dispatched to find a peaceful resolve to the recent issues between Mandalorians and SJO.

Objective 1: Discovery of new life, picking up of companion Ashlan Wolves (reward). There has also been word a new plant has been discovered that aids with healing. However, it is only a rumor and no proof has been put forward.

Objective 2: Search and destroy any of the settlements that might remain of these unsavory groups. Word is there are still slavers and smugglers here and working with the Sith Empire to get “goods” to them. Investigate the area and find out if the information is accurate.

Objective 3: Find Australis and his people. Perhaps an agreement can be made with them. Arrest or pacify them.

Objective 4: BBYO

Objective 2

A deep breath. That was the only sound he made at first as the dropships began to come down. Slavers? They were his specialty. And he had very good reason to hunt them down and bring them to justice. The sooner they were behind bars, the sooner those they had held hostage could be returned to their families instead of being sold like cattle.

Josh tugged on the top of his robes a bit, rubbing the scar on his neck. It didn't physically hurt, but something about places like this always made it feel... Sore? Not physically, but it was a like a phantom pain and he found himself always habitually rubbing at it as if it were causing him such. While he knew it was psychological, it still bothered him. He knew why. Could he wipe the memories associated with them to end this bother? Oh, easily. But to do so would rob him of part of that passionate motivation to do this. And that was more important to him than some bad memories and some mild discomfort. He would turn his own suffering into the liberty and end of suffering for others. It was the Jedi Way.

That passion had brought him here to lead the search for the remaining settlements on Myrkr. While some had been dispatched, the remainder needed to be dealt with. He had been tempted to go with the group that was to hail Australis, but knowing the others... They would want to reach an accord. Josh had no interest in reaching an accord with the remnants of those monsters who had hurt so many, all to earn some brownie points with the Sith Empire, so... The decision was an easy one in the end.

"R4, have your sensors picked up anything?"

A few beeps on his communicator indicated that indeed, one of the settlements had been found. "Good. Send me the coordinates and I'll ensure the dropship takes the group down."

Once the coordinates were sent, Josh would approach the pilot of the dropship. He addressed them calmly and curtly, with a ginger bow before handing them a copy of the coordinates.

"Here. We have a lead. It's not guaranteed, but... It's a start on where to look. Let's get this party started."

The two of them had been together long enough for both of them know they were each against slavery. How each of them went about helping slaves was different, but Ra had adjusted to what Josh did and they worked together as a team. This went beyond being partners and she wanted to be with him, lend a hand when she could and make sure these slaves were taken care of...to the best of her ability. Now all she needed to do was remember to not go with her knee jerk reaction to some things and everything would be fine.

She knew about his past as a slave and had learned that during their first mission together. They both knew he could easily have those memories taken away, but he chose to keep them. Those memories made him who he was and without them, he probably wouldn't feel as about slavery as he did. Accepting this about him, she had her own quirks too.

Looking at R4 when he answered Josh, she nodded. After working with droids for so long, Ra had picked on most of the common languages used. Leaving Josh to go inform the pilot, she gathered up what gear she had brought with her and was pretty much ready when he returned.

"Have you ever been to Myrkr?"

A small, furry, blue head perked up from her shoulder at the mention of her home. Reaching a hand up, she silently communicated with her.

"Once we get down on the planet, Lya will be assistance. She can talk with the other wolves and lead us right to where we want to go."

Varindar was most irritated by the lead of slavers on Myrkr. After all, the place was brimming with ysalamiri, which meant that she couldn't use the Force on-site. Also, it meant carrying Quesh venom grenades as well as another weapon she was most uncomfortable with: an electromagnetic plasma heavy repeater (an old Furutaka used on Kintan as part of some sting operation). With that said, she will, once again, reprise her old cover, a procurement agent for the Ta'jar Blood Gang, ostensibly there to buy slaves, and claim that, after the events of Bimmisaari, the Sith needed to replenish their supplies. Hopefully they won't realize that I am, in fact, the Hotelier, which is my codename among the galactic criminal swimming circuit, but Myrkr has never been a hot spot of competitive swimming, criminal or not, unlike Manaan or Rishi, she thought, while preparing for their insertion.

Commander Valkren Calderon grunted while shrugging the shoulder plates of his katarn combat armor, shifting the weight before activating the load-bearing system to make himself more comfortable during the dropship's descent towards Myrkr. All around the troop bay of the transport were a herd of rangers and specialists alike. Each man and woman of every race was busy tinkering away at each others equipment, being sure to make their last checks before their insertion.

Valkren gripped a gloved hand onto a rope to assist the katarn-clad commando up and onto his feet. He'd shift his assault blaster and sling while he moved towards the front of the transport, letting the weapon hang across the small of his back for now, just below the kit that rested on his back.

He'd make his way closer to the cockpit, patting rangers and checking over them as he moved to assure that his strike team was in fact ready. Twenty hardened warriors, and they were all prepared.

Nothing satisfied the commander more than a full ship of pipe-hitters, ready to take down sith-favoring parties and slavers alike- whatever the target may be he knew they were ready.

During his journey to the cockpit of the transport, he'd give a nod to a familiar face- Beltran Rarr Beltran Rarr . The hitman-turned specialist had been one of the commander's closer friends during recent times, and with his return to the Silver Jedi after going missing for quite some time came some extra confidence in Valkren's rangers now that he knew an experienced killer was among their ranks.

Eventually, he'd reach the cockpit. After removing his helmet, he'd access the communications system between the pilot and co-pilot. He'd practically butt-in to what the two were trying to accomplish.

"Ranger strike team is following close behind- just give us the word and we'll begin our insertion." The ex-republic commando ended the communication directly after, moving back to the troop bay to finish preparing himself.

Beltran returned the nod from his Commander before affixing the helmet to his own set of Katarn Combat Armor in place over his head. He sat mixed in with several other Antarian Rangers; just a sea of helmeted heads and armored bodies. The only thing that would mark Beltran as different from most of the soldiers boarded in this craft were his unit markings. Unlike most of the soldiers here, Beltran was not, in point of fact part of Commander Calderon’s personal unit, the Radama Raiders.

Officially, Beltran was attached to some recon platoon with the Third Infantry. Unofficially, he worked for the Rangers’ Intelligence Division and generally operated alone. Needed to stall an advancing force by suddenly having their General take a header off a cliff while taking a piss? Beltran was your guy. Wanted an up-and-coming Warlord wannabe to end up skewered on a vibroblade in a barfight before he had a chance to do any actual damage? Beltran was your guy.

Asymmetrical warfare, special operations, black operations, that was what Beltran was good at. That being said, every now and again, it was good to get out into the field and put some boot to ass on some Slaver scum. Obviously, given Beltran’s job description (or lack of one in his official file), Beltran wasn’t really a man to judge another man for doing what he needed to do to get by. Except slavers.

Feth slavers.

Once his helmet was on, he did a quick check of the rest of his weaponry. While he’d opted to wear the standard Ranger combat armor on this mission, that was where the similarity of his loadout ended. His weapons were entirely his own. Most manufactured by his personal arms company on Denon, while others were procured…elsewhere.

“Raider one,” Beltran called over the commlink. “This is Bogeyman-3-1 performing coms check. How copy?”

Family, star had a hell of a family, her clans had become a important part of her life. In recent years her alliegnces to the clan and the jedi have mix and complicated everything, no more shall they, after the betrayal of the Sith she swore to remain by her family unto death, now the jedi had come to mykyr.

Securing the left cauldron she heard kaines voice as she turned, smirking to hin she grabbed her helmet

indeed, but first vod let me see if I cant come to a agreement at all, I can only hope they'll see reasoning and work with us

She put he helmet on, lekku armor extending and seeing as she spoke, voice modulated out and looked to him again

trust me on this brother, itll be a way to avoid more needless killing...and if not well...I know the clan will already have their sights set on targets

With that she turned, calling out for a speeder bike to be prepped immediately, once she exited to the outside she mounted up and took off for the edge of the forest, hoping to be the first they contact...

You ever get the feeling that the universe has stacked the sabbac deck against you? That Fate has a couple shifter cards up her sleeve. And you ever notice that anything inanimate that breaks or goes wrong is always “her” fault? Because women were the succubus of a man's destiny. They found those tiny crevasses in a man's life and shatters them. But regardless it still comes down to a simple truth.

You can't live with them and you can't live without them.

And that's why Carbonite freezing was a thing.

Moaning as he sat up to the memory of sharing the very same thing to a table of ladies, vode through and through, Abel recalled the many keldabe kisses he had received. And they had their full armor on while his buy'ce had hung from the netting at his belt. Raising his hand he tentatively felt the bridge of his nose before twisting it from the odd angle it was at. Felt like a hot poker shoved into his face. Oddly enough he knew exactly how that felt. Now that he thought about it, that memory was from a few Mando ladies as well.

Grunting he swung off the table top and stretched, the sound of slugthrowers going off from the popping sound of joints. A message flashed on his comlink attached to his left gauntlet. Grunting he slipped the helmet over his head and played the looped recording. Kaine was saying something about Invaders, probably one of his war games. The man loved him some war games. But as Abel slipped his gargantuan frame from the mess hall he saw the scurrying vode and came to a realization.

This wasn't a game.

“Solus Centuria, load up and get to the hangar nearest me. I'll see you there.”

His words rang out as the busy traffic in the hall moved to either side. You would too if a giant Mando ran down the hall while wielding a beskar trident. Jogging through just one of the entrances to the hangar he watched as the exotic twi'lek master flew off on a speeder bike. Seeing his brother standing near one of the entrances he sidled over as Solus Centuria began congregating as they arrived.

“I hate to see her go, but I love to watch her leave. Who we kicking in the teeth today?”

Life day celebration had come and gone, Sukai having spent the last month home celebrating the holidays with her family but sooner or later work called and once again it was with the Mandaloirans. Despite her dedicated life as a warrior coming back and immediately getting involved in some sort of possible conflict didn't Sith well with the Knight herself instead opting for the more exploitative approach to the planet. While most of the drop ships would proceed towards an assigned slaver target her own would stay back, landing closer to the dense forests near the outskirts.

With such a rich history dating back to the days of the old republic Sukai was certain the planet was teaming with interesting artifacts and lore. It almost felt like a small jungle holiday instead of a series mission, that is unless she bumped into some unfriendly individuals. From her personal experience and that of her families Mandos were very unpredictable. For all their talk about honor and respect they certainly knew how to trick, back stab and surprise their enemy something which was never known. With all the clans running about it was hard to know which Mandos would leave you alone and which ones would blast you full on holes on sight.

At the very least she was confident in her healing ability to a least survive any sneaky sniper and have enough strength to get away but worrying about ifs and maybes wasn't going to do much. The young Knight had a job and she was going to enjoy it the best she could, her blue gaze shifting to the lush green canopy, stretching as the eye could see. "Time to get down to business".

He did his best to quell the knot of anxiety that had risen up in his stomach while the shuttle rattled around him as it broke the atmosphere. Once again checking the integrity of his armor. Aaran refastened the gauntlet around his hand. Flexing his fingers once before letting them rest. Considering the intention of this little outing was one of diplomacy. It initially seemed counter-intuitive
to be wearing armour of all things. But these were Mandolorians he was going to be dealing with. Showing up armed to a talk was a sign of strength. Not open hostility.

He let out a sigh as he rested his head back against the seat. This was probably the first time the Order had sent him out on something of critical importance. Old wounds needed to be healed. People needed to be rallied together against a common enemy. This was about unity. Not extending conflict. Now he just had to convince a clan of warriors to align themselves with an Order of Peacekeepers. When both of those organisations had some bad blood.

But that is why he was here. He was fresh, new. Unstained by the sins of the past and carrying no bias or leftover resentment. As far as Aaran was concered. Clan Australis were simply people. Dangerous people certainly. But not unreasonable monsters. Hopefully an agreement could be made. Something could be hashed out. Or at the very least, a hatchet could be buried and the Mandalorian clan would not interfere as the Jedi attempted to deal with the local slavers and pirates.

As the shuttle finally landed. Aaran let out another breath. This was going to be a doozy. Standing up from his seat, the Padawan patted himself down once. Readjusting his robes over his armor. Ensuring at the very least he looked presentable. Before striding out of the shuttle. Centering himself and focusing on his objective. Find the Mandolorians, if they were not already on the way after noticing the shuttle. Open communications with them. Find some way to put an end to the bad blood between both sides.

"No pressure." He grumbled to himself. Leaving the shuttle and beginning his trek towards the where his intel told him the Clan Compound was.

Myrkr, Adenn hadn't ever needed to be there before, other than to meet with Clan Australis, one such meeting was why he was here, but never to fight. That ended today, jetii were coming, SJO jetii at that. Adenn didn't have as much bad blood with them as other Mando'ade did, not even as close as he had bad blood with certain other groups. That didn't mean he appreciated them coming to Myrkr in such a show of Force. He didn't know why they were coming, nor did he care, he'd help defend his vode however necessary.

That all said, Adenn didn't know where the enemy was, nor when they'd get here, So it was good that he was near Kaine, with his friend Gunner, and their best vode at their side. All 20 Beskad Elite were here on Myrkr with Adenn and Gunner, acting as security for them, and company. Marching over to Star and Kaine as they spoke, Adenn heard the tail end of the conversation, before watching Star rocket off to try and intercept anyone coming. Shaking his head slightly, but smiling, Adenn turned his attention to Kaine and spoke then.
"As much as I dislike the jetii, we probably don't have the numbers to fight them all for now. Besides, from the looks of things, they aren't here for us ner'vod." Patting Kaine on the shoulder, he nodded his head in Stars direction. "Let her try what she will, but let us be ready to meet these jetii with blade and laser if need be."

His part said, Adenn crossed his arms over his chest, even as his vode spread out around him, each about 5 meters away from him, ready to move in any direction should it be needed. Gunner himself was at his side, a comforting presence for Adenn. Smiling grimly behind his helmet, Adenn turned to face the direction that the ships were, silently watching and waiting.

The dropship dipped and rocked as it flew through the lower atmosphere of Mykyr over the lush canopy. Dagos was on a mission for the Silver Jedi. He had barely landed on Kyshyyk before boarding another ship and coming to Mykyr. He’d left his homeworld almost a month ago and had finally made it to the home of the Jedi or a home for some Jedi, he wasn’t entirely clear and had been at the temple for less than a week when a call to action came.

There were several dropships bringing several groups of Jedi to several different places on world. Most were going to deal with slavers and some others still were off the hunt after some Mando warlord or something like that. Dagos however was headed to some remote forest. He was one of the few who had chosen to go in search of a plant rumored to have great healing properties.

Some day maybe Dagos would be among those bringing evil to justice but today he was only a 15 year old boy with no training, no lightsaber and not even so much as a padawaan braid. He hoped if he did well here, maybe someone would take him on as an apprentice.

There was someone else in the dropship as well but Dagos kept to himself, he was still in a bit of awe of the actual Jedi.

Yuroic arrived to Myrkr with very little armour, he didn't want to come across as someone in full war gear with several weapons. All he had his Lightsabers, some light armour with his robes. Looking around, he stretched out on the dropship. It was interesting turn of events, the Mandalorians were finally willing to talk after all this time, something Yuroic had sought for since day one. It would be interesting to hear what the Mandalorians had to say about the situation that was occurring now. Yuroic had offered to help them fight the Sith from taking Mandalore but he was denied access, so now that they were scattered he was curious to see how they would be coping.

He stretched out as he wandered from the dropship, looking around, Yuroic moved forward as he looked to other Jedi that might have joined him on the mission. "So, today is a peace attempt with the Mandalorians, we know that they won't like the Jedi presence on the world and the concern about the Sith would be looming. If we can assure the Mandalorians following Kaine, that we mean peace and want to ensure the peace for the planet, perhaps everything can be resolved without conflict?" Yuroic stated optimistically.

At the sound of Yuroic's voice and reiteration of the mission objective. A knot of worry disentagled from Aaran's stomach. Closing his eyes for a moment as he centered himself. Pausing in his stride. Reassured by the presence of a senior member of the Order. "Aye Master Xeraic. Hopefully they're in a talking mood. That's half the problem solved if they wanna talk things out." He said, a small bounce now in his step as some of his usual cheer began to flow back into him. The fact that he was not alone made the challenge in front of him seem a little bit less daunting.

Falling in step beside the Jedi Master. Aaran turned to look to his elder. "Master Xeraic." He began, somewhat hesitant. "Have you dealt with this clan before?" He asked, head tilting to the side ever so slightly. "Cause uhh....." He said, hand raising to scratch his cheek. "I never really met a Mandalorian before. Not really sure what to do when we start talking."

"Dont suppose y'all have any advice for me?"

The speeder slowly came to a stop, she shut it down and hopped off grabbing a war banner off the speeder she had placed on, the sigil of a boar in the colors of the clan waved in the wind as she started walking towards the edge of the forest each step was followed by the banner end hitting the ground. Calculated steps to be formal as she would begin to appear into the light holding the banner and standing tall beside it

She was their only hope of a peaceful resolve, she would not fail her family, her clan, her brothers and sisters

Peace, that was the agenda for today's meeting. Peace between Jedi and Mandalorians, two groups that have been at odds with each other for longer than most could remember. Up until now peace seemed like nothing more than a farfetched dream. Now, however, with the threat of the Sith looming and the lose of Mandalore, maybe it wasn't so farfetched after. Perhaps all both sides needed was a common enemy and hope, lots and lots of hope.

Milla let out a sigh as the shuttle finally touched down on the surface of Myrkr. Sure she was excited to finally be on the ground, but at the same time she was nervous. After all, it wasn't everyday you got to go on a diplomatic mission to meet the leader of a Mandalorian clan. She had to admit that her diplomacy skills were....lacking quite a bit. Which is exactly why she had been sent in the first place on the behest of several Masters. They wanted her to learn from the experience, so luckily for her it was more listening and watching then actual speaking.

The young girls bare feet hit the cold metal floor as she stood up. Stretching her arms above her head and standing on the tips of her toes, she worked the stiffness out of her muscles. Her tail swung lazy from side to side as she listened to Master Yuroic give a run down of the mission and his hope for the end results, then seeing if anyone had any questions. Aaran was the first to ask, mainly just about the clan and basics of formalities. Millahad questions, lots of questions, but they weren't very important and could wait till later. For now, she opted to remain silent and learn by observation.

It was a new world for Kat to explore and she was curious to see what this supposed new healing plant could be, what properties it contained as it had been rumoured to be a decent healing medicine. Kat had been improving her healing abilities and spent more time working at the hospital with other Jedi healers and normal healers, she was finding that aspect of the Force very interesting and her growing skills in healing meant that she was growing in confidence to try new Force powers in other areas.

Kat landed on the planet, she was wearing tight jeans, black combat boots, thick jacket and had fingerless gloves on. She didn't look like a Jedi bar her Lightsaber pike that was strapped to her back. Her hands in her back pockets as she looked over to the two people who were joining in on the mission. She recognised one but not the other. "Hey, I'm Kat. So where should we start looking for this new plant?" Kat asked, not sure where they needed to start on the mission.

The two had talked a bit in the past but Suaki could not fully remember if they were very close, not that it matter. The other man though was a new face, a food thing as it meant the order was continuing to grow and attract new members.

She quickly cleared her throat, pulling up a data pad before speaking to the small group. “Greetings to you all, I am Jedi Knight Sukai’ito, I look forward to working with you on this mission”. ”Speaking of which that is correct Kat, but so far all we know are rumours, it may be hard to find them if they are real, possibly could search for them using the force”.

She passed the data pad to the cyrberntic women before continuing. “Other then that we are alask tasked with finding out about new species if we come across them as well as any historical artefacts“. “The more we add to the archives back home the better“.

Hopefully the contact information the old owners of the hotel obtained from the Myrkr guests while I was still a slave is still current, she thought, while advancing through the Myrkr wilderness with a belt of Quesh venom grenades in tow, with a remote-controlled detonator. What they don't realize is that she will cause the grenades to cook off shortly after she's gone. For now, anyway, meeting in a seedy cabin in the jungle with these suspected slavers was the order of the day, and in an area where ysalamiri abound, she was grateful for the remote, since she couldn't use the Force here as she normally would. Upon arriving on the premises, the security guard was questioning her as to why she was here.

"We have little patience for your kind: state your business and quickly!" the slavers shouted at her.

"I am Allison Barnard, On behalf of the Ta'jar Blood Gang, we need to replenish our slave supplies. After Bimmisaari, and Kadavo before that, the Sith have been buying at higher prices than normal: they suffered heavy losses there"

"I'm sorry, miss. But we are out of stock so you need a rain check and this means a security deposit must be paid now!"

Specialist Rarr's voice reached his ears via the communications system within Valk's helmet, "Bogeyman Three-One, Raider One-One: I hear you loud and clear."

He'd pull himself back into bay of the transport, glancing to Beltran while he spoke and readjusted his blaster. Valkren stabilized the assault weapon in front of himself with his right hand, making use of his sling to keep the weapon in position and pointed at the shuttle floor beneath them. His left hand went above to grab hold of something for stability during their descent with the drop group.

"You ready, killer?"

He had no hesitation that his friend was ready- as a matter of fact he hadn't known a time that the specialist wasn't ready. Ever since their initial meeting on Alaris Prime, the contract killer had always answered the call to action when the rangers were deployed. Even after his return from an 'extended absence,' the silent warrior was always there.

A reliable asset to have in combat, but a better friend to have watching your back in a firefight.

But even Valkren knew he couldn't hog the man's talent to his own team's needs.

"How do you feel about taking over 2-1's position today?" Valkren referred to the second five-man squad that was usually on the commander's notice at all times during combat. It often helped to have another squad of shooters close by when clearing out tight quarters, and with Beltran leading them he saw an advantage with his 'abilities.'

The commander had seen what the 'man' could do in a tight situation. His hand-to-hand was impressive enough to knock an oversized trandoshan off its feet, that's for sure.

The pilot and co-pilot within the cockpit of their dropship received the coordinates that were extended by the strike team's group leader. The two worked together to align their flight path and descent with those that were also apart of their strike team. The descent towards the planet was felt suddenly within the troop bay- the posture of many of the rangers changing drastically as they gripped onto their seats and any usable handles.
