Complacency. Incompetence. Laziness. These were the downfall of many organizations and were quite often the main source of exploitable weaknesses within any group. People got cocky and began to relax, believing themselves invincible. That was when disaster almost always struck.

That the upper echelons of the Confederate Navy were infiltrated by kidnappers who managed to somehow bypass the strict security protocols that were in place, was a very serious problem. It meant that someone, somewhere, had become complacent, incompetent and lazy.

Darth Tacitus, Confederate Lord of Admirals and Eternal Emperor of Nelvaan, despised complacency, incompetence and laziness. Once he got off this blasted rock, someone, somewhere, was going to have a very bad day. One that will end in a swift and sudden way.

Those were the first thoughts that crossed the bestial Sith Lord's mind once he took note of his situation and surroundings. Whoever had abducted him, had thought of slapping a Force-dampening collar around his neck and removing all of his weapons. In fact, they had gone so far as to remove all of his clothes as well, leaving him with a set of plain trousers and a shirt, though he was not completely disarmed or helpless.

The silver-haired warlord's unnatural eyes scanned the environment with a scornful gaze. Slitted pupils dilated and contracted, swiftly adjusting to the light as Tacitus flexed his taloned fingers, as if testing each muscle. Within moments, his sharp mind took note of what could be turned into a weapon or a tool, as well as his companion.

He wasn't alone. A rough-looking woman he did not know, was with him, one who seemed like the type that was used to harsh conditions. He could not quite decide whether she was a potential ally, or a threat. So he let his instincts take over, every muscle in his body tensing up like a coiled spring, like a predator about to pounce on his prey. If she did anything to indicate a threat, he would be ready for her.

The one thing that rivaled the pirate's loathsome fear of Force sensitives was -you got it- slavery. Inked digits felt the collar as if it were some strange accessory with brows stitched together. I can do this. Luna had effectively staved off any power she had on purpose for years and for the first time she was free to breath. With the restraint came a sense of relief. While this had been an obstacle for most, it was normal for Vega.

It was very much so her life- or had been and history was often hell bent on repeating itself.

Luna sighed heavily, albeit dramatically and scratched the side of her neck. This could be a cell and worse, she decided. It was as if the mere thought roused the woman and she found herself moving to stand. Near-silver pools strolled down to her not-quite-hand-picked attire and then to the foreign man just to the left of her.

Stripped of her weapons and booze caused her gaze to sharpen, both studying and observing the near nude man and their shared surroundings. "Och...calm doon," the spacer drawled with a bit of a lilt, using her hand to point out their obvious mirrored fate, "wee're obviously on the same side." Side being a loose term. She canted her head skyward, letting the dozens of tiny blue braids fall back while looking for a glimpse of a moon or oddity that would offer a sense of...direction.

Nodding at the siblings as they took off, Rylan grinned to himself darkly, having head the Dominus' orders, he nodded at Alora and pointed to the entrance and stalked off in that direction silently, giving no clue to his partner on how they may both act in this situation, only that it was time that they do the job at hand.
As he approached and broke from cover, he smiled and waved at the guards "Hey there, can you give me an idea where I'm at? I seem to have lost my karking way in this jungle...", they turned on him quickly, whatever weapons they had raised at him, the smile twisted, it became a very hostile grin, "Oh boys... You just know how to make my day...". Before anyone could react, the sabers sheathed on the back of his belt launched into his hands, dark red blades, the color of freshly spilled blood came to life, as he launched forward with a deceptive speed and strength, impaling the, eviscerating the first guard, followed by a quick sweep of his blades at the next nearest guards men, slashing through and destroying any weapon they had drawn before they could stab or shoot at him.
The carnage about to be unleashed by the revitalized Sith Lord would be one he hadn't unleashed in centuries, blades sweeping and carving dispatching any who came too close, his plan, this distraction, was to try and bring as many of their enemies from inside the fortress to the outside, into the crimson haze of death and destruction, none of his compatriots would die here, not today. He didn't count how many he killed, it didn't matter, he would be a plague of sheer horror and death to these cowardly cultists, he'd buy as much time for the siblings and the Dominus with the blood of these fools, even if it cost him his own life, but he didn't see that as a fate not today.

The Sith Lord silently regarded the woman as she spoke, the look on his face plain and unreadable. A tense silence seemed to linger in the air as he contemplated a response. "That... remains to be seen," he finally spoke in a harsh voice which sounded like grinding rocks.

"Looks like we're supposed to make our way eight miles to the north. I suppose whoever put us in this situation will be waiting for us there," the warlord said, anger dripping from his voice, a cold and seething thing that was as alien and frightening as his feline eyes, the kind of thing that was carefully nurtured by a Sith, only to be unleashed in a sudden explosion of violence at some later point.

Eight miles. It wasn't even that far, especially for someone with Tacitus' experience. Before walking the path of the Sith, he had been a mercenary. He had seen his fair share of rough terrain and made sure that he and his followers trained for situations such as these. Wardens of the Shroud frequently trained in Ysalamiri-equipped chambers braving the wilderness without any tools was part of each Warden's initiation into knighthood.

Eight miles until whoever had the stupid idea to drop him into the middle of the jungle will pay.

"Look for a long, straight branch and a sharp rock," he instructed the woman. "I am going to get our bearings," he said as he turned to one of the trees. With sharp, deadly claws digging into the trunk, he swiftly made his way up in a manner that could only be possible for one with the kind of peak physical condition that came from iron discipline and hard work.

"Touche," the woman snorted derisively at the Sith, even though her eyes had gone a little wide. At least he isn't oozing with power. The collars saw to that and again, Luna was more grateful it was in place at that moment. However, she was annoyed at their current situation given the silence of the Force.

Irritation, not anger was painted clearly upon the pirate's visage. "Perhaps, or perhaps not," intoned the woman, having been used to this sort of setting. "We very well might never know who and for what purpose..." If this was a training exercise, she had not been informed. At the very least, whoever had abducted them could have left her flask. It was more being with out that and her machete that made her feel naked and she gave a tug at the plain white shirt.

And afraid.

Vega chanced a quick glance to the massive man and went about doing as told. It was better this way, she decided and let her storm-gray eyes wander the fauna and the forest floor. Venturing further from their drop, she knelt and wiped away fallen leaves that revealed a jagged stone near the size of her hand. Which to say, wasn't overtly large, but big enough to work with. The same could be said of the way she procured a straight branch.

As silently as he had climbed up, the Sith Lord jumped down, landing in a three point position that not only absorbed the impact of his fall, but also muffled the sound. By now, it was fairly obvious that the collar around his neck was no impediment to his ability to survive these conditions. He had, been through far worse situations, with far less at his disposal. A certain nameless arctic planet came to mind.

"Correction. You may never know who dragged us here," the enigmatic warlord spoke in his unreadable flat tone. "I, however, have both the means and the resources to track them down," he said in a bone-chilling way which made it clear that, whatever fate he had reserved for the perpetrators of their current situation, it wasn't anything pleasant.

"I see you have procured the items I instructed you to," the Sith Lord commented, seemingly satisfied with the results. "Good. Use the rock to sharpen the branch into an improvised spear," he instructed as he scouted about for a good, sturdy length of vine, which could be used as a rope.

Having gathered that, the next item on his agenda was to fashion some makeshift sandals out of some tree bark, twigs and plant fibers, which would give him improved mobility over the rough terrain. All the while, he took care to scratch a distinct pattern into every few trees, using one of his sharp claws, probably to mark the places where he's already been, a smart precaution in case they ever ended up walking in circles.

Treiades heard the terentatek lay chase upon someone else. By the sounds of the voice, it was Gruff McGee. Rhou took advantage of this wide opening to study the form of the creature. Surely something that had been out in the wilds of a jungle for so long would have had to have been in several gory fights. Peering out from his cover, he watched its gait, studied its armored plating, and looked for weaknesses. As it ran, he noted that there was a limp to its gait. Something off about its right leg. He couldn't quite tell from here, but there might have been a breach in its armor from an old wound - and if there was, it would make things infinitely easier.

Deciding it was time for action, and with an actual target to strike instead of thwacking at it and hoping for the best, the man stepped out from cover and darted toward the beast. In the time it took for him to reach the terentatek, the man-formerly-known-as-Gruff had inflicted some damage to the creature and caused a whole lot of rage. With his smaller size, Rhou was better able to throw himself around in this environment. He played on the fact that the creature was distracted and in pain, and nimbly scaled the tree into the lower branches.

Spear in hand, Rhou maneuvered to the rear of the beast whereupon he spotted his mark. Across a natural plate of armor on the back of the terentatek's leg there was a scarred gash from an old battle. In truth, it looked bad enough that the creature was lucky to still have its leg. Fortunately for them, it was an excellent weakness to limit its mobility. He hopped down from the branch he'd been perched upon with the pointy end of his spear aimed for the gash.

He hit his mark, but only just. Only about six inches of the tip of the spear managed to wedge in before the terentatek instinctively lashed out and sent Rhoujen's form rolling across the ground. It shrieked in obvious pain, but the spear hadn't penetrated far enough to do significant damage. If he, or someone else, could get to it and plunge it in, it could potentially cripple the beast's leg. At the very least, they'd have a mobility advantage over the thing.

"Gods damn," he muttered and pulled himself onto all fours, struggling to regain his breath. He forgot how hard those things hit.

When the beast spun around and hit the man, he took his chance and grabbed two halves of a large branch from the floor, that was shattered by the Terentatek, making them about as sharp as the one before it. He then ran at the beast's back, and grabbed the spear's handle, shoving it in, then jumping up, and using it at a temporary foothold for his right foot, which he then used to propel himself up more, from there he stabbed one half of the branch into a crack in the beast's armour, presumably from past battles, and hauled himself up, grabbing the other branch and stabbing it into the beast's back, inbetween the plates of armour, hauling himself up more, the wounds leaking blood slowly. He then pulled the first half of the branch out of the beast's back, and the crack in it's armour, and pushed it over a spine on the beast's back, then grabbing the other side with his free hand, and pulled himself upwards onto the beast's back, and pulled the second half of the branch out of the beast's back, both of the wounds began bleeding heavily.

Next, he started climbing up the beast's back, from spike to spike, he then finally reach the beast's head, and stabbed a branch into the beast's right eye, and pulled it out, blinding the beast in that eye. He then climbed back, and smashed one half of the stick on the beast's head plate, making the stick extra sharp, and then climbed back a bit, onto the beast's largest back spine and stabbed the smashed stick into the beast's neck, pushing it in quickly, the pulled it out, blood gushing it. Finally, he climbed back onto the beast's head, and stabbed deep into the beast's head through it's right eye, throwing the un-smashed stick away, and focusing on using all his might in driving the remaining spear-stick into the beast's head.

Time: Late Evening

He’d heard about force users but he never expected to run into one himself, how three of them taking out his droids and he had only his personal training to keep him alive. Edren was a skilled Trandoshan warrior but even she wasn’t experienced in fighting powers like telekinesis and lightning. More droids approached and fired at the dark disciples who dodged with such extreme speed it was hard to keep his eyes on them. Edren and OOM-255 fired at the one on the left, the cultist force pushed them back sending both Trandoshan and droid commander flying back up against the wall together.

He fired his blurrg at the head force user, the force user leapt forward with arms outstretched and sparkling. Rolling to the side again he fired for the beings back as it passed him. His shots hit the cocky darksider who collapsed to the ground eliminated, the hood fell back to reveal a tattooed Twilek. His victory attracted the attention of the other two who had already dealt with the remaining droids who hadn’t retreated. Taking the opportunity Edren used her Trandoshan reflexes to jump up and charge at one of the force cultists backs, she bit into his neck as he screamed spinning around in a new attempt to break free only to reveal his front to OOM-255, the droid commander fired his E5 blaster leaving a smoking hole in the sentients chest. Edren stepped down and elbowed the dark side user to the ground and let out a roar.

The final opponent took off his hood revealing the face of a black and red Zabrak underneath. “Fool!”

“Gotta hand it to you guys, you’re good with the theatrics.” Vildarn charged toward the dark side force user as he hopped back shooting lightning at the oncoming naval officer.

Vildarn pummelled into the dark side cultist with his elbow, the Zabrak stumbled back in shock and pain, gripping his chest, a moment later Vildarn’s fist landed in the beings face knocking his enemy to the ground. “Again, you’re under arrest.”

“Die!” the Zabrak roared using both hands to discharge lightning straight at Vildarn’s face, the discharge of the Blurrg blaster brought an end to the duel.

“I don’t like these guys.” Vildarn said standing over the corpse of his enemy as he tried to ignore the pain of excess energy flowing throughout his body.

“Commander, orders?” Edren asked approaching him.

“We go upstairs and find out what they did with the prisoners, take whatever droids we have left and eliminate their remaining soldiers.

No point in sticking around anymore, whatever glory or thrills there was to have had been taken by the man she didn’t like. Wasn’t focused enough to truly catch his name, or just wasn’t listening. She had something better in mind:

Just like the big monster with the hammer, she mirrored that old encountered and just put her stamina to use. Running like all hell out of her hiding spot the second the beast let out it’s pained roar...lost glory. She’d make up for it one of these days.

Wearing: Black & Dark Gray helmet Acolyte Mask, Black and Dark Gray, tight, silent, cortosis and mandalorian iron hunting armour.
Wielding: Wielding: 2 lightsabers, First black with red core, other red with black core. Cortosis dagger, cortosis rope.
A large, muscular figure was already upstairs, his cloak flowing around as he moved, deflecting each and every blaster shot that was likely to hit him, slowly walked up to the Dark Akh soldiers, slicing one in half, threw his lightsaber at one, cutting along the wall as it flew, with his free hand he started lifting the other up by the neck, crushing it. He then caught his lightsaber as it came back from its path of decapitating multiple Dark Akh, who were stupid enough to not move, and rather stand in a straight line, he then threw both of his lightsabers down the hall like throwing knives, cutting everything up in it's path. With his free hands, he punched into the chests of the Dark Akh, cracking their armour, he then blasted a group of five with force lightning, burning them to death, and when he was done with that, raised his hand, creating a wall of lightning infront of him as he walked towards the remaining Dark Akh, blocking every blaster bolt.

When his lightsabers returned to him, after killing a decent few Dark Akh, the wall of force lightning dissipated and he started blocking and slicing again. When he stabbed through the chest of the final Dark Akh, slicing outwards, slicing the creature in half, he walked through a door, into a large room where a group of five force users in gray robes and armour waited for him. He stared the figures down, his lightsabers deactivated, his black cloak around him, it's hood up, the mask on, suddenly, two of them rushed at him, activating white lightsabers, he force choked the one on the left, and grabbed the blade wrist of the one on the right, twisting it, the lightsabers dropping from their hands simultaneously, clanking to the floor, deactivating. He pulled the one he was force choking in by the chest, releasing the hold on the man's throat, then slammed him backwards into the wall of the large training hall. He then let go of the one he slammed into the wall, leaving cracks and a dent in it, the man dropping to the floor, he turned his attention to the woman on his right, twisting her right arm to the point of breaking it, then right as it was about to break, he twisted the other way, sending a surge of sudden pain up the woman's body from her wrist, causing her to drop to her knees, he then let go of her wrist walking over to the remaining three force users, when one ran at him, he simply smirked.

As the man swung his blade at Astrale's shoulder, he shrugged off the cloak from there, the blade of the saber hitting the shoulder, then bounced back, stuttering it's life out, before finally deactivating, at which point the force user put it on his own belt, and swung a fist at him as he pulled his cloak back onto his shoulder, and caught the fist, squeezing it, causing the man to hunch over in pain. He then let go of the fist, and lifted the man up with the force, and threw him to the side, marching onwards to the remaining two force users, two females. He grabbed one of his lightsabers, and activated it, force leaping behind the force users, swinging at them, luckily for them, they raised their sabers in defence, like he expected, though it took both of them to hold his blade where it was, and he smirked grabbing his second blade, and pushed it to the neck of the female on the left, and activated, killing her, he then deactivated it and put it on his belt, and pushed his blade down on the remaining female, her arms collapsing under the force, cowering in fear, when he brought his blade up above her head, she quickly punched him in the chest and gut, but as her fists met the metal of his armour, she pulled them back in pain, as he stabbed down through her head and neck, deactivating his saber, as she fell forwards. Then, a door at the centre of the chamber opened, and a man wearing black and maroon armour, a dark red cape trailing behind him as he forwards to Astrale.

He deactivated his saber, straitening his posture, staring at the man as the man unleashed a deadly storm of force lightning at him, which he simply walked through, his own eyes glowing red and purple, he then raised his hand, as the man attempted force pushing him, deflecting the force push back at the man, which flung him at the wall, but the main recovered quickly sliding back on his feet as he walked forward drawing his lightsaber, which was purple, and then started slicing at Astrale in rage. Astrale then grabbed his own blade activating it, and blocking the opposition's attacks with ease, when he reached for his second blade the other man did so aswell, and they ended locking blades with each other, then Astrale kicked the man in the gut, making him stagger back, breaking the lock. Then as Astrale sliced at the man, across, upwards, down, forwards, diagonally, the man just side stepped and dodged narrowly, then Astrale deactivated his second saber and put it back on his belt, raising his hand as if to force choke, but surprised the man by grabbing him and choking him properly, lifting him up, then slammed him into the ground, making a crater. He deactivated his primary saber leapt back as the man kicked upwards, landing on his feet, and then grabbed Astrale with the force.

He then started squeezing him, attempting to crush Astrale, but Astrale outstretched his arms, sending a force wave in every direction, breaking free of the grab he then grabbed his saber, and jumped forward, missing a few swings, but finally cutting the man's left arm off with one swing. He then grabbed the man by the throat and threw him at a wall, force leaping over to him, pulling his secondary saber out, as the man spun around, pulling out his own lightsaber, Astrale was already there. As he stabbed into the man's chest, killing him, the appearance failing, revealing a droid, then a man easily in his late 70's to mid 80's walked out from another door, leaning on a wooden walking stick. He raised his hand in greeting, an older version of the man he had just killed, he expected kindness from Astrale as he had put his sabers away, instead as Astrale got closer, he snapped the man's neck with the force, then, he pushed the man back with his hand. Turning around, pulling his cloak around him, he walked to where Vildarn's forces would appear if they went upstairs.

Lab just kept silent for the remainder of the talk, knowing full well this man would no longer listen to reason, if his feeble mind was incapable of seeing past face value and knowing problems couldn't be solve with a simple snap then so be it. She just hoped said man would not be in her company any time soon, mainly due to the fact if the chance presented itself she'd not hesitate to give him a black eye.

A large sigh escaped her lips as the 'Viceroy' left the complex, Lab pulling up a holo projector of the fleet captain in charge of the small defensive force, "Marcus what is the situation on the ground"? "A governor Mordulla, good to see your not dead... anyways so far they have continued to land more and more troops near the cult outpost, do you want us to support their attack"? "No, they should be done soon if the rumors about them are ture, keep on stand by and make sure non of the enemy ships escape, if they have any, but afterwards I need you in my office to talk military, the CIS seem to want outpost on this planet and I need your know how". "Of course governor, I will see you later then, over and out". Turing back around the Twi'lek looking out the window over viewing the jungle landscape.

With his shoes newly cleaned he turned to offer the chieftains a smile that didn't reach his eyes. The elders of the rishii nests entered and looked upon Gort laying upon the ground groaning. The spears and axes within their hands belied the pacifist nature that existed for the rishii. Though that knowledge was lost on the pirates at that moment. Which worked to William's advantage. Perception was everything.

A younger rishii stepped from the chieftains and looked at Gort before turning back to the others and chirping her response. The brief conversation lasted less then a minute, however the saddened yet steely eyed gaze spelled the trandoshan's doom.

Moving to stand above the fallen pirate leader William looked at the rishii and gave a short nod. Then he knelt down and pulled the long tongue from the maw of the pirate, pulling until he uprooted the tongue which came free with a wet rip and another keening moan from Gort. Swiftly William wrapped the tongue around the trandoshan's throat and pulled back, planting a shoe on the man's back while strangling him with his own appendage, as per the agreement with the rishii.

Most people don't realize that strangling someone isn't a quick affair. Depending on the tool and leverage you most likely just cut off the air ways which causes asphyxiation. Better tools or methods also cut off the blood supply to the brain which leaves the victim mercifully unconscious. But William was neither merciful nor benevolent. He wanted the pirates to understand what he was, what he was capable of. And he wanted the rishii to know that he was a man of his word, and not someone you wanted to cross.

Six minutes later he released the corpse to the ground and moved to the rishii chieftains. Respectfully he gave them a short bow before straightening.

"You will find that there will be no more grievances from the smugglers and pirates as they will be working with me and under the Confederacy. And as I have completed my side of our bargain I will see to it that the supplies are brought to your villages in exchange of the exonium. Have a good day."

With that William left the building and began the short trek to his ship, Doggo keeping pace with him as he walked. Another business transaction completed, another planet brought to heel for the Confederacy. It was looking to be a profitable day indeed.

As agile as she was the tree was somewhat difficult to climb. The adrenaline rushing through her system made her hands feel shaky and useless, it was awkward relying on them to pull her weight up the bending branches. Eventually she hauled herself up next to Mandalena with a sigh of relief that she hadn't slipped and plummeted down to the solid ground. The moment she had settled into her seat Maddy's gentle voice invaded her ears, at nothing more than a soft whisper. Honestly, she could have kissed her right there and then. Mandalena had a mind for brilliantly wild plans and Dianah loved her more with each one.

Every step the beast took shook the tree violently underneath them which was completely unnerving, but Dianah wasn't concentrating on that. Her twinkling eyes were fixed on Madalena, gazing at her with a healthy dose of amazement. Stone or beskar could work but she was a little hesitant about the idea of being crumbled into nothing by the beast's giant jaws. When she made mention of diamond she gripped Maddy's arm tightly, it was all Dianah could do to keep herself from falling out of the tree with excitement. If they weren't in their current predicament Dia would have hugged the life out of her.

'Yes! Maddy, that's such a good idea! I haven't tried a solid material yet but it can't be much harder than a tree right?'

Dianah glanced down at her own hands and set a look of concentration on her face. Skin-shifting was getting easier and easier with each new form she tried, but it was still a slow process. Sharp sounds filled the tree as her skin bubbled and cracked as it changed slowly into unbreakable diamond. Slowly but surely every inch of her caramel colored skin morphed into the familiar white-blue glow. She still wanted to be able to move though, so her tendons and muscles were still visible behind the opaque material, it looked rather grotesque but Dianah was more amazed by the fact that she could actually do it.

Where there used to be curves there were now deathly sharp angels of rock solid diamond. If she weren't already made from the stuff Dianah probably would have sliced herself open once or twice in the last few minutes. She cautiously shifted herself away from Madalena and Jaron, if he was ever going to get his shebs up here. Both of her arms had changed into the shining gem and the shift was slowly making it's way through her core as she spoke.

'Careful, you don't want to be touching me right now.'

While they had little to no time left the skin-shift was taking longer than she thought. Pressure was often an excellent environment to learn as it forced you to do things you weren't comfortable with, but it didn't speed you up. Dianah would need at least five minutes more for the change to reach her feet. Maddy had come up with a plan of distraction so Dianah scrambled back down the tree in preparation for her moment to dive.

She reached the ground just in time to see Rhou drive a sharp wooden spear into it's hind leg. Dianah let out a celebratory whoop at his success, even though it was only a partial one. Her noise alerted the great beast, who snapped it's massive head in her direction. Though it was clearly in pain she could see the cogs in its head whirring. Dianah was on the ground and close enough to be charged at. She froze to the spot for less than a second before she glanced up at the tree with a wide eyed look.

'Maddy, Jaron... now!'

Alora followed Rylan without question. He was clearly better equip to handle the situation than she was, both knowledge wise and combat wise. When they moved closer to the entrance they were faced with a group of guards, all holding what Alora now recognized as lightsabers. All of them were ignited in a rainbow of dangerous color the moment the guards realized they had company. For some reason the prospect of trouble made Rylan smile, which Alora found rather appealing in a man.

He charged forward without a moment to lose and Alora was hot on his heels. Her silver sword made an impressive sound as she pulled it from its leather prison. The weapon itself was just an ordinary beskad, but if your enemy was smart they didn't fear the weapon. They feared the person behind it. Fortunately for Alora they weren't that clever. The first grunt to come at her did so with relative confidence which made her laugh softly.

A hum sounded out as the opponent's blade cut through the air toward her but she was far too calculated for it to come anywhere near. Her fighting style was a combination of subtle steps and aggressive attacks. Alora never seemed to move an inch more than she had too. When the swing missed and fell short Alora wasted no time bringing her own weapon down to taste its first drop of blood. The sound of flesh, cartilage and bone being sliced to shreds had never exactly pleased her but there was some satisfaction in knowing she'd been victorious.

There was little time to celebrate as her next adversary came charging forward. In the breath of space between the death of the last and the attack of the next Alora could see the heavy doors to the fortress creaking open. The ruckus they'd caused brought more guards streaming out from its depths. Their distraction had worked at least. Now it was just a question of holding out long enough for the others to do what needed to be done.

Bait and distraction, that was all Jaron would be useful for without much by way of any significant weaponry. He wasn’t concerned about whether they could kill this thing, but Jaron was trying to ensure the cost of doing so was minimal. Knowing that Dianah had been nearly taken out by the beast it made something in him rise to the surface. Jaron refused to be over protective, especially of a woman raised as a Mandalorian, but he also would sacrifice himself before letting anything happen to Dianah, or her friends. Maddy was clearly one of them.

He sighed as they climbed the tree. The others around him were doing a good job of doing something, and as he climbed, one of the others managed to actually cause some helpful damage to the massive creature. Jaron nodded when the vine was handed to him and looked over his shoulder as Dianah began to shift. A knowing smirk tugged at his lips.

“She is certainly the best weapon we have. This beast will not sand a chance now.”

Jaron knew his job was simple at this point. Like a toy being dangled for a cat, Jaron was the thing to be batted at in order to provide the time and distraction needed for Dianah to kill the beast. Only she could bring a blow damaging enough to sink into the gapping would in a lethal manner. How Jaron wished he had his lightsabers about now, but he did not.

Before leaping, Jaron nodded his forehead to the diamond clad woman he loved. He called out to her.

Be precise ner cyare... and don’t get distracted by my shebs...”

The banter should have been employed from the start, but now it was a must. Besides the strong feelings they had for each other, it defined their relationship, and Jaron wasn’t about to jump into harms way without reminding Dianah just how much the banter was theirs. A small grin and wink followed his words, and when Dianah gave the signal, Jaron leaped.

What was the saying, "by the force!"? Nonsense, with Ka's usual intense dislike for almost all force based anything she mentally went with the far more flowery phrase of "Cay tytung bu kark sea!", the Sephi had realized she was the only one running and deciding it was better not to make a break for it on her own thing time around as quick to turn herself right around: still half a grumble about losing the fun of being able to have her go at the, Tenererererdak? Gods she hated these names.

Spinning around on her heels with a usual headstrong manner she ran her way right back along, weapon in hand in case anything actually went poorly. It'd probably go poorly, but it was always funny enough: the Confederacy really had changed the woman since her recruitment.

Who knows, maybe it was kicking enough that she could just go and let out some anger on it.

One moment she was handing Jaron the vine, the next moment it seemed everyone was moving. The scene became chaotic, and though she could still follow the movements of others, it was much harder to plan when she didn’t know where the patterns would lead them. While she, Dia, and Jaron had been planning, some of the other people of the group had already started attacking the monster, and he was visibly injured by now.

Madalena took a step back from Dia, balancing herself on the branch they were standing on, doing her best not to fall. Becoming the monster’s food for the moment would go against all the not-so-careful planning they’d been doing. Her eyes didn’t waver from Dia though, looking at her insides as the outside turned to diamonds. They were really going to have to experiment with the scope of the Shi’ido’s abilities when they could afford the time.

Given the signal, both Madalena and Jaron jumped off the vines. Two of the people in the group were already busy with the beast so it wasn’t too hard to angle around it, confusing its eyes.

And it was time.

With Trevethe still on his back, the monster charged at Dia.

Time seemed to freeze as Madalena, still swinging on the vine, looked at it happening. Dia was ready, was in position, but what if it didn’t work? What if the diamonds weren’t sharp enough? What if her great plan would end up with her friend shishkababed by a Force eating monster?

There was no time. The monster was getting split by Dia’s diamonds, but Trevethe was still on him.

Kicking a tree, Madalena dove straight for him. If she succeeded, he would be pushed off the terentatek. If she did not… Potentially, both of them could end up cut by Dia.

However, before she could do as much as push or kick him off, Madalena screamed as one of the back pointy things of the beast cut through her thigh. It didn’t hurt her angle though.

He saw Madalena flying at him, and got pushed off the beast, back first, smashing into a tree behind him. The impact leaving a slight dent in the tree, he then looked at his left arm, it had to scrapes on it from the Terentatek's claws. His vision was blurry from hitting his head on the tree, and his mind was racing, it took him a minute to realise that Madalena had pushed him off the Terentatek's back, and saved his life, and the Terentatek had slashed his arm, it took him a moment longer to realise that Terentateks have venomous claws and fangs, then when he looked at the wound, he calmed, realising that it was a small scrape, not a cut, meaning the venom hadn't got into his body, he then rubbed the arm downwards, removing any venom from it.

Then he looked around for where Madalena was, his face growing into a small frown of worry. When his eyes settled on her, he quickly looked over her body to see if she was alright, and noticed the cut on her thigh. He got up to go check on her, but the Terentatek fell, and knocked a branch off a tree with it's hand, and that branch then flew and hit Trevethe in his right side and leg, knocking him over, he quickly lifted the branch off of him, he was the closest to her, and she'd somehow ended up knocked down by the cliff edge, he tried walking forward with his right foot, by pain shot up through his leg and side, and he gripped his side, walking forward with his left leg, with an obvious stumble and limp, as he was injured heavily from being knocked of, 'Better than dying' he thought. Eventually he got over to her, and grabbed his shirt, which was now empty after being used as a carrying sack, which was also surprisingly clean, he then wrapped it around the cut on Madalena's thigh, tying it in a tight knot on the other side of the wound, preventing blood from flowing out as much, he then went to pick her up, and carry her away from the cliff, to a small, but clean, pond hidden behind some trees that he'd noticed.

The door to the security terminal gave off an off-setting bang. This bang echoed briefly through out the room as Cardinal planted the tip of his blade into the surface below him. Cardinal reached out with The Force, calling on to his senses and amplifying them many folds until they all had delved into the deepest reaches he could strive for. His senses amplified, the elder man's ear twitched softly as the rapid pacing of feet echoed outside the door. One, two, three...… He counted eight enemies in total, first catching their rapid movements and then deciphering them to find the number of enemies that lied before him. Next his nose would take to the air, a deep inhale drawing in the surrounding scents in a single moment. The scents that flowed into the man would make a normal being shutter, yet none were unfamiliar to him. Ichor, blood, decay, and the stinging stink of blaster fire. Yet behind all of that was the smell of.....fur?

The smell of the Lupine siblings was not easily identifiable, however it was rather hard to miss it as well. The Lupine had a distinct scent that followed them even in their transformation into their bipedal forms. Cardinal would have appreciated more time to take in his situation, but he had taken all the knowledge that he could manage in such a short time. His eyes refocused on the door before him, another hard slam left the blast door with a noticeable dent that threatened to sever under much more stress. "Cheaply made." Cardinal noticed, holding a hand out towards the door and calling onto The Force once again.

He stopped and waited, waited for the rapid movements of footwork to come to a cease, signaling the next blow to the door. That was when he tensed his fingers, The Force exploding from a singular point in his palm. With his command the telekinetic force was thrown forward and into the blast door. Having suffered so much abuse already the door was freed from it's host and immediately rolled over all that stood before it.

Loud, guttural, groans cried out as the door slammed two green skinned abominations into the ground. The creature's gave a wretched wail as their last breaths were stripped away an replaced with the soft settling of their metallic prison that trapped their bodies onto the ground. The rest of the creatures wildly charged towards Cardinal but the man moved far too fast for them. Closing the short distance between the door and where he stood, a loud clang could be heard as metal impacted metal. The tip of his sword slid into the floor, right in the center of the doorway. Just as the creatures rushed the doorway, Cardinal turned the hilt to his sword, a small metallic mechanism moving freely as he did. The large blade gave off a soft click before setting off a white light from the base of the hilt. almost immediately the hilt produced a ray shield, small enough to fit within the doorway, yet large enough to halt the creature's assault.

Cardinal called out to his allies, knowing they would understand his plan, or at least hoping. "Now would be the time to kill them!" He called, his eyes staying locked on the ray shield that he knew would not last long.
