- Even more so than the previous iteration, the Avata-class Infiltrator, the Lumiya-class Infiltrator has an extensive stealth suite to allow agents serving the Lady of Secrets to move about the galaxy unseen. The newly improved Eligor Cloaking Device, already a combined stygium field and Force dampening field, is complimented by a gravitic modulator, thermal dissipators, a sensor mask, thrust trace dampers to limit even more so the emissions from the TibannaX coded Crest Drives, and a signature modulator.
- Similar to the Avata-class, the Lumiya-class is equipped with advanced communications and sensors arrays along with an enhanced signal interceptor to allow the agent to eavesdrop and observe activity within whatever system they are stationed.
- The Lumiya-class is equipped with Aurora Industries' new shield system, the Xandret, giving it an impressive ability to reflect or absorb incoming energy fire such as lasers, turbolaser bolts, and even solar ionization blasts if they are attacked.
- Equipped with an A-EX 400 Shiftdrive, the Lumiya-class can make jumps into Otherspace if they need to escape from a situation where they have been discovered.
- Much like the Avata-class, the Lumiya-class is able to house a single starfighter for the agent or one of their crew to utilize.
- While equipped with four Leamonde Laser Cannons and two proton torpedo launchers, the Lumiya is not designed for offensive action, and while it could engage fighter craft and lightly armed corvettes well enough, larger ships or more heavily armed similar sized vessels can outgun it easily.
- The Xandret Shield System gives the Lumiya-class Infiltrator superb protection from energy attacks, however kinetic weaponry such as a mass drive, will pass right through the shields and the Lumiya will only be able to rely on the single layer of hull plating to protect itself.
- While the stealth suite for the Lumiya is extensive, magnetic tracking torpedoes and magnetic sensors can detect and track the ship for brief periods of time.
- Sabotage can be detrimental to several systems of the Lumiya that could cripple it such as the reactor and the engines. Sabotage of the preservation field in the reactor will cause the Sianteria crystal within to turn into its gaseous state, rendering the ship powerless until repairs are made and a new crystal is installed. Sabotage of the molecular furnace of the Crest Drives will cause a the furnace to start consuming itself and then explode, destroying the engines. Sabotage of the Shiftdrive will tear the ship apart by sending parts into Otherspace while leaving others in realspace.
With a definitive shift occurring within the galaxy, Taeli Raaf recognized a renewed need to enhance the resources available to her agents while they perform operations for her plans and ambitions. With Aurora Industries in the midst of a massive modernization and upgrading program, to go hand in hand with their expansion plans, the Lady of Secrets commissioned a design team to look into improving upon the Avata-class Infiltrator, itself second generation stealth ship from the company. Dissecting an Avata at the hidden Pluthan Shipyards, the design team began working out how they planned to improve upon the ship, even coming up with a new hull design that was nothing similar to the Avata or the even older Phasma.
The new ship, dubbed the Lumiya-class, is a vast improvement on the previous model. Not only were design features able to be carried over, such as the advanced comms and listening array, but the design team added some of the new technologies developed by the company into the ship. Leamonde laser cannons replaced the standard lasers and the new Xandret shield replaced the old deflector sheidl systems, a A-EX 400 Shiftdrive became the hyperdrive, an Aetharstar Reactor designed for corvettes was installed to replace the old Gravastar+, Crest Drives replaced the older modified standard engines, and the crux of the new systems, the Eligor Cloaking Device. Complimenting the Eligor was a more extensive stealth suite to fill in even more holes that were found in the Avata's, and the hull, much like a StealthX, was given a matte black finish to help the ship hide against the darkness of space even if the cloak isn't engaged.
