SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Nebulous Cloaking Device - eschewing the use of stygium, the Avata-class is equipped with two linked Nebulous Cloaking Devices to create a stealth field on par with normal stygium cloaking devices.
  • Gravastar+ Reactor - To give the ship enough power for all of its systems, a Gravastar+ Reactor was installed on the ship, with the extra capacitors tied into the engines and stealth systems.
  • Other Stealth Systems - The Avata-class makes use of a gravitic modulator, TibannaX modified engines, thermal dissipator, and sensor negators to complete its stealth suite
  • Advanced Sensor and Listening Array - Allows the Avata-class to monitor activity in the system it is in
  • Other Standard Ship Systems - Navicomputer, life support, comm array
Strengths:
  • Stealth Systems - Due to the various stealth systems included, the Avata-class is mostly invisible to many types of sensors and to the naked eye, able to slip past both allies and enemies.
  • Advanced Sensor and Listening Array - Is able to eavesdrop and monitor activity in a given system the ship is in.
  • Stronger Shields and Armor - While average at best, they are still better than the Avata-class Infiltrator's forebear, the Phasma-class.
Weaknesses:
  • Armament - The ship only has four laser cannons and two torpedo launchers, meaning in a combat situation, it is not going to be doing much beyond what a starfighter can do. Against larger ships, it won't last long at all.
  • Offline - Nebulous Cloaking Devices deactivate upon the weapons being fired, and communications cannot be sent or received when the cloak is engaged.
  • Don't Break the Crystal - If the crystal at the heart of the reactor breaks, the ship will disintegrate rapidly.
  • Overload - If overclocking feature is used, the stealth systems will be disabled completely to protect them from possible damage until the ship returns to a base.
Description: Commissioned by Taeli Raaf after reviewing the old schematics for the Phasma-class Infiltrator, she ordered a team of engineers to improve upon the old design to create a new stealth infiltrator for use by those who could pay for one... but more importantly for a more secretive clientele. Developed in secret at Aurora Industries's hidden Pluthan shipyards, a small select team that included members from the original design team began work on the new ship. The resulting ship was named the Avata-class Infiltrator, and it was an improvement over its predecessor in just about every way.

The first thing to be replaced was the vastly expensive and harder to develop stygium cloaking device for a linked pair of Nebulous Cloaking Devices, utilizing adegan crystals to create an on par stealth field with the stygium of the previous model. Additional stealth systems were added to the gravitic modulator and TibannaX engine from the previous design, those being sensor negators and thermal dissipators to fill in holes in the stealth suite against detection. To power all of those systems, a Gravastar+ reactor was installed into the ship, with the extra capacitors tied into the engines and stealth systems to make sure plenty of power can be provided to all systems.

The ship's armor and shielding were enhanced to be on a standard grade, making use of the additional power of the Gravastar+, while an additional two laser cannons and torpedo launcher were added to give the ship a slightly increased armament. The ship was also once again given an advanced sensor and listening array for spying missions, giving the pilot the ability to monitor and eavesdrop on activity in a star system. The ship has room for an additional two crew men, along with storage compartments for droids and other supplies the owner wants to store. It also comes with a small area where a starfighter up to thirteen meters can be stored and launched from.

The ship does have weaknesses though. The armament is on par with that of a starfighter, meaning against any larger ships, it will get obliterated quickly. The cloaking field is disabled upon weapons being fired, and communications cannot be sent or received when the cloak is engaged. The Gravastar+ Reactor is also a weak spot as if the crystal powering the reactor breaks, the ship will disintegrate rapidly. A failsafe was also installed that if the pilot of the ship uses an overclock from the reactor for the engines, all stealth systems are disabled until they can return to base, so it is advised that this only be used in extreme cases.

OOC Note: Sith models are only usable as either a Lord or as a reward from one of the Sith Lords

Hangar: One Starfighter of owner's choice
I'm not sure I'm comfortable with a ship this small being able to fit a starfighter (Which by definition can be anywhere from 1 to 50 meters in length).

Would you be willing to remove this?

I was going off the idea of the Jade Shadow from Legends as Luke keeps a starfighter, I believe it is a Headhunter, in the ship, and his ship is only 55 meters long. Would you be more comfortable if I put a size restriction on the fighter that can be put inside it?

Actually yeah, that would work. Thanks for showing me a source.
