  • Hierarchy:
The Lady of Secrets - The top of the organization, the Lady of Secrets known as Taeli Raaf controls the organization. Her word and ideas are law.
  • The First Daughter - The apprentice to the Lady of Secrets, Eldaah Aderyn acts as the second in command of the organization. But as the members know, where the First Daughter is, their master is also watching.
  • Paradox Adepts - Paradox Adepts are Sith Masters that serve as overseers of the organization, answering only to the Lady of Secrets and her apprentice. Each one serves a different role, with some masquerading in other positions both within the Lady of Secrets' power base and elsewhere.
  • Enigma Adepts - The core Sith that serve the Lady of Secrets, they make up the bulk of the organization and typically are the agents encountered by the Jedi. Trained on the level of a Sith Knight, several specializations exist among their number (Beastmasters, Alchemists, Dark Consulars, Blademasters).
  • Shadow Legion - Trained on Carida and Thyrsus at her personal request, the Shadow Legion are non-Force users in the Order of Shadows that serve as security and a trained army for facilities and operations.

[*]Membership: The number of Adepts in the organization can vary between several hundred to two thousand, while NFUs within the organization number in the tens of thousands between soldiers, scientists, engineers, and other research positions. Although the numbers of the organization swelled in the aftermath of Endgame when roughly half of the Galactic Alliance personnel defected. To join, one must catch the attention of the Lady of Secrets or one of her Paradox Adepts and then go through a rigorous vetting process and swear their loyalty through the use of a spell created by the Lady of Secrets.
[*]Influence: Besides Valrar, the organization does not outright exert influence over a particular area. They are more covert, working more towards spreading the influence of the Sith Empire.
[*]Climate: While not as cutthroat as other Sith organizations, there is a competitive environment between cells and Adepts that can sometimes result in a suspicious death or two. The Lady of Secrets encourages this competitiveness as she believes it is a cornerstone to the mission of the organization.
[*]Reputation: To the citizens of the Sith Empire, especially to those diehard loyalists within it, the organization and its members are heroes, faceless heroes besides the Lady of Secrets, but heroes nonetheless as they were responsible for the downfall of the Galactic Alliance. Other citizens respect the work the organization had done on the Sith Empire's behalf. To others outside the Sith Empire, the Order of Shadows is the boogeyman, hated and reviled for their role in Endgame.
[*]Rules: The organization follows a modified set of the rules espoused by the Brotherhood of the Sith within the Sith Empire. The only tenet changed is Taeli encourages her Adepts to challenge each other and compete for power and prestige.
[*]Doctrines: The Order of Shadows follow the tenets of the Sith Order, with the Lady of Secrets' word being absolute law. Power and knowledge are important structures within the organization, with the Lady of Secrets actively encouraging her adepts to push the boundaries of their understanding of the dark side.
[*]Goals: The organization's goal, now having destroyed the Alliance, is serving the Lady of Secrets' will and mission, striving to push the boundaries of science and Sith knowledge beyond their current limitations. They will not be satisfied until the entire galaxy is dominated by the dark side of the Force and the Sith, with the knowledge of the ancient Sith enhanced beyond anything previously seen.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

As Taeli Raaf, known among the One Sith as Darth Arcanix, began plotting her departure from the slowly crumbling empire and how to best accomplish her mission of infiltrating the Jedi, she had to figure out how to move her power base out of the Core covertly. She couldn't throw it away, she was Sith after all, but she couldn't exactly be seen among them at this beginning stage of her deception. To that end, she had many of her followers moved to various facilities, both within her company of Aurora Industries, and within neutral space. Coordinating with them from a base in the Unknown Regions, with a faux headquarters on Byss, the Order of Shadows was officially formed.

Initially, the Lady of Secrets kept contact with the organization at the barest minimum, letting her apprentice act as her intermediary while she established herself with the Jedi, aiding in their war against the One Sith as both a part of the Republic and the Galactic Alliance. As the years continued, she slowly started to expand the operations of the organization, directing its efforts more closely as she was allowed greater freedoms to move about the galaxy as a senior Jedi Master.

The Order of Shadows began its task of infiltrating the Galactic Alliance shortly after the Kaeshana Incident that sparked the First Alliance-First Order War, slowly suborning Jedi and members of the Alliance to their cause, the Lady of Secrets personally teaching them how to maintain their facade around their erstwhile comrades.

The Alliance became aware, at least slightly, of the organization after discovering a Sithspawn creation lab on Xagobah and a rakghoul outbreak during the Atrisian Crisis on an Alliance world. The New Jedi Order initially believed the sect was rogue Sith leftover from the broken One Sith Empire until the New Sith Empire attacked and devastated Thyferra. After the scorching assault, Alliance Intelligence and members of the New Jedi Order discovered the faux headquarters of the organization on Byss after it was determined the Sith assault fleet had been able to obscure part of their movements into First Order space because of jamming technology on the planet.

An assault was launched by Omai Rhen and the New Jedi Order on the base, encountering fierce resistance in the form of Sithspawn, Shadow Legion soldiers, and Engima Adepts throughout the capital city and the rebuilt fortress of Emperor Palpatine. During the fighting, Omai Rhen was separated from the rest of the Jedi and engaged the supposed leader of the group, with Taeli Raaf arriving shortly after.

In a shocking betrayal, Omai was killed by the Lady of Secrets, his spirit destroyed by a dark side tendril, and a convincing act was made for the other arriving Jedi of her being on the brink of losing her life as well. The Order of Shadows was forced to abandon the base shortly after, and Taeli Raaf became the new Grand Marshal of the New Jedi Order. With her acting as the new leader of the Jedi, she was able to cloak the activities of her organization reclaiming the base on Byss surreptiously, as well as the establishment of a staging point on Coruscant for her coup de grace.

On Fleet Day, the day the Galactic Alliance was to officially unveil their first Vanguard-class Super Star Destroyer, the Lady of Secrets activated Operation: Eclipse, otherwise known as Endgame. All across the Alliance, the agents that had been infiltrating for near ten years now all activated, turning on their comrades, sabotaging defenses, and otherwise throwing the Alliance into chaos. The bulk of the activity was centered on Coruscant, and to make matters worse, it was revealed it had all been a coordinated campaign with the New Sith Empire and its Emperor [member="Darth Carnifex"] to tear apart and burn the Alliance to ash. The Alliance fell that day, the Lady of Secrets revealing her true allegiances as the New Jedi Order's temples burned, their order shattered and the remaining Alliance loyalists fleeing into the Outer Rim.

With the Alliance destroyed, the Order of Shadows' headquarters was relocated to Sith space, their facilities across the galaxy now turning to the research of the dark side, discovering old secrets and creating new aspects of the dark side never before seen, all in service to Taeli and the Sith Empire.

Hello there,

For the most part, this looks good, just a few things to address. First, link all canon worlds and locations in the location field. As for major events, if you're referencing any specific threads (e.g. Atrisia Crisis), then please hyperlink where appropriate.

Realistically I don't see the Shadows, an extension of a totalitarian regime, being universally revered domestically outside of loyalist factions. However, I could certainly seem them feared and/or respected on the whole.
