SPECIAL FEATURES
  • When a focusing laser is passed through a shard of the crystals, it creates an immensely powerful source of energy that rapidly shifts the crystal towards an ionized gas that shifts into plasma. All states of the substance are usable for an energy source, although the crystal themselves will likely need a specially designed stasis field or reactor to prevent their transformation into plasma.

STRENGTHS
  • As a branching evolution of Aurora Industries' Sianium technology, Sianteria produce an immense amount of energy, twice that of standard Siaber Crystals and ten times that of standard energy sources like plasma or hypermatter.
  • The three stages of the material, the solid crystals, the energized gas, and the charged plasma are able to be harvested and used for a variety of different power sources and technologies.

WEAKNESSES
  • When in crystal form, Sianteria is susceptible to sonic weaponry, causing the crystals to shatter easily. Anything requiring the proper size crystal would be rendered inoperable until a new crystal is installed and the smaller shards removed from the containment field.
  • Equipment has to be specially designed to accept the material as its energy source due to the amount of power being released, if installed in a system or weapon without proper modifications, the piece of technology will burn out in seconds.

DESCRIPTION

Development of what would become known as Sianteria began alongside the creation of Amaranth Crystals at Aurora Industries' FrostGem Facility on Mygeeto, albeit without the application of Sith Alchemy in its creation. The lead scientist for the project, a Doctor Hyrit Colso, wanted to achieve the same level of energy created by the Amaranth Crystals, but through the use of pure science.

Colso began his team's work by treating kyber crystals found on the icy world through a newly enhanced Sianium process he had theorized and developed. By utilizing isotope-5 through a nucleosynthesis forged by massive amounts of energy and radiation on par with the forces within a star, the resulting material would have immense energy generating capabilities. While it meant the death of the kyber crystal, it was a small sacrifice for the non-Force Sensitive Colso was willing to pay as he began subjecting the kyber crystals already put through Sianium through his fusion process.

The resulting material was initially seen to be crystalline in nature, but when even a small focusing laser was passed through a flake measuring a microgram, the energy output was beyond anything Colso had seen. The crystal went through a rapid sublimation, ionizing in mere milliseconds to a potent but stable plasma state. Colso realized that both the crystal state, if properly designed for a reactor, and the plasma state, could be used for a variety of products for the company and he took his research to Ary Jaxson, Chief Project Overseer for Aurora Industries, for final approval and production.
