Four Silver Jedi Regulars in training

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

[*]Vehicles:

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Availability: Common
  • Deployment: Mass
  • Strengths:
  • Versatile: Can adapt quickly to a variety of combat situations as appropriate for infantry: crowd control, urban warfare, unconventional warfare, and so on, so forth
  • Ammunition: slugs cannot be deflected by lightsabers
  • Weaknesses:
  • Lack of heavy firepower: without support elements, a unit of Silver Jedi Regulars is going to be vulnerable to vehicles, be it artillery, aircraft, armor
  • Limited ammunition: a standard infantryman is issued two drum magazines of 120 rounds each as a standard combat load, which can be a liability in prolonged firefights or if units are indisciplined with their triggers
  • Description: The Silver Jedi is surrounded by enemies by the very nature of being overtly aligned with the Jedi and, as such, needed a standing army capable of engaging Sith factions without having to rely on the Sith proper, especially in the wake of the Sith Order failed invasion of Midvinter, where, despite being a victory for the Silver Jedi, deficiencies became apparent, such as relying too much on the Jedi proper to fend off Sith and other Force-powered special operations forces. After several engagements against different Sith factions, whose special operations are spearheaded by the Sith proper, it was decided that the risk posed by the Sith was sufficient to warrant issuing slugthrower weapons to its standard infantry over blasters. Unlike some Imperial factions, whose line infantry is either drawn at an early age (First Order) or cloned outright (Galactic Empire), the Silver Jedi Regulars are made up of volunteers, with many of the recruits coming from radicalized war-displaced refugees in recent times.

Due to the open-door recruiting policy, the Regulars comprise a variety of species, such as Mirialans, humans, Sephi, and even the more exotic such as Mon Calamari, with nearly every species across SJO territory being represented. Boot camp for new recruits take them across several planets for training in different types of warfare, on different types of terrain; at the onset of boot camp, recruits are screened for particular skillsets, with outstanding recruits in particular areas being invited to specialize and thus taken out of the regular infantry training lines and into specialty training, as accessible to raw recruits without combat experience. At the end of boot camp, they come out as serviceable combatants but nothing exceptional: elite training can be accessed once recruits prove themselves.

Standard and versatile line infantry. Weaknesses include limited firepower and lack of logistics in prolonged engagements.

I see nothing wrong here.

Approved! Pending secondary approval.
