TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD FEATURES
  • Full medical bay capable of treating and otherwise being able to handle whatever injuries any of the crew might have occur while on missions. This includes a variety of burns, amputations, shrapnel and other wounds.
  • Fire suppression systems across the entirety of the vessel allowing for fires to be handled safely and remotely, without risking naval crews.
  • Remote Weapon Control Stations offering the crew the ability to be able to centralize fire control systems and have back-up stations in case those fail.
  • Atin Class Isotope-5A Reactor to power all weapons, shields, and other systems aboard the vessel offering plenty of power to supply the ship's various power needs, including her main armament, the Mjolnir Mk. 1.
  • Luft Class Life Support Systems offers the best in class atmospheric management system for the vessel, making it able to support and house various species of all different kinds without needing to utilize environmental suits.
  • Three hangar bays are separated between the various types of craft, with one set being dedicated to fighters, one to bombers, and the last two bays being for the support craft.
  • Armor plating has been laced with Phrik-A lattice allowing the overall weight and size to be decreased while offering the same level of protection of standard hull armor plating.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Primary weapon system of the vessel is a single Mjolnir Mk. 1 Variable Warhead Mass Driver. This weapon system offers unparalleled power, range and damage capabilities compared to any other weapon system in the field. This mass driver is capable of hurling warheads at extreme ranges with lethal efficiency, making this support cruiser a veritable mobile artillery piece, allowing it to pummel foes from far away with sledgehammer blows.
  • Eagle and Hawk Eye Targeting Systems increase the accuracy and adaptability of various weapons, making this ship even more deadly at range.
  • Secondary weapon systems are 12 Dual Paladin Turbolasers, backed by another 8 heavy Ion Cannons. This makes the ship no slouch in medium ranges against other vessels, though it would be quite outmatched by sheer rates of fire and weapons numbers on other vessels of similar sizes.
  • Tertiary Weapon systems are the Deimos laser cannons, offering good fighter and munitions protection, while the MLMS Launchers give the ship options both in the offense and defense. This gives the ship better point defense and star fighter screening capabilities than most other vessels.
  • Power system has been reinforced and allows for the vessel to shift power away from the main cannon, and into the engines of the vessel, giving it increased mobility and speed.
  • Svalinn Class Shields offer good protection from a variety of threats in a smaller package than standard capital class vessel shielding. This allows for the generator to be placed inside the hull in a spot that is difficult to locate without scanning the hull.
STRENGTHS
  • Long range artillery: The centerpiece of this ship is the Mjolnir Mk.1 Mass Driver. This weapon offers best in class power at extreme ranges. Combine this with the MLMS and ability to launch fighters and bombers allow this ship to be extremely mean at ranges normally not associated with cruiser level combat.
  • Hit the gas: This ship has the ability to shift its power systems into its engines, giving it increased power and maneuverability when it needs to get into position or otherwise get out of trouble.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not as much medium/close range weapons: This ship has a much less amount of closer range firepower compared to other standard vessels. This means if the main weapon is taken out of play, this ship has lower firepower than standard cruisers of her class.
  • Overdrive for engines brings main weapon offline: Bringing the power systems into overdrive to shunt power to the main engines brings the primary weapon, the Mjolnir, offline. This brings its firepower down much lower than standard vessels.
  • Primary Weapon is a big target: The Mjolnir Mk. 1, while still being much safer than its prototype of The Mjolnir, is still a very large and volatile weapon system. This makes it a prime target for enemy vessels and small craft with anti-capital ship weapons.
DESCRIPTION
One of the first vessels designed for a more massive deployment from Freebirds Industries, the Longbow is something of a quite focused if flexible answer to support craft. Carrying a mighty Mjolnir Mk. 1 Mass Driver as a primary weapon system, this heavy artillery gives the ship incredible range and firepower for her size. This backed up with an assortment of Turbolasers, Ion Cannons and even several fighter and bomber wings make this vessel truly well deserving of it's designation. An Artillery Cruiser. Meant to stand out of the main fray of the fight and fire long range sledgehammer blows with its Mjolnir Cannon, using its other weapons to assist it in closer combat but being less effective at closer ranges. This is part due to its relatively low weapon count especially when it comes to Turbolasers and Ion Cannons, but as long it can keep its foes at range the main gun will certainly do a number on them.

This ability to put down very effective fires is made even more effective by the ship's ability to move when it needs to get into position. This is achieved by the vessel directing all main power to her engines, taking her primary weapons offline but giving her a massive boost to speed. This makes her vulnerable while in this state, but allows for the ship to reposition to get better firing angles, attack angles, or even just get out of dodge. This ship is a feat of engineering from Freebirds Industries, utilizing their advanced material and power generation technologies to make a vessel capable of raining down unholy hellfire on her enemies, at ranges most would consider obscene. If that strikes your fancy then I suggest you saddle up and take the seat captain. The artillery is known as the king of battle for a reason, remind your enemies why.

The Monster The Monster , this looks pretty solid.

Hangar Allocations:

This is kind of a weird area, because while you can add fields to a template (in this case the "bomber" field), we don't really allow people to split up a field that's being used for balancing purposes (in this case, the number of starfighter squadrons). Could I trouble you to move the B-1 Bones to the starfighter section?
