STRENGTHS
  • Skinshifter: A natural ability for her species, she is nonetheless a prodigy when it comes to changing form, especially humanoids. She can imitate any creature regardless of size or coloring, and for an indefinite amount of time. (Though spending too long in the same form can make it more difficult to change, and adjusting her mass a significant amount is incredibly taxing.) She can enact such a transformation at will so long as she is able to concentrate, and she will not revert into another form even if she is knocked unconscious. Her body is her greatest weapon - literally.
  • Limited Telepathy: This is directly tied to her shapeshifting abilities and allows her to cover up inconsistencies in her physical appearance which would tip more observant people off that she isn't what she seems, such as smell or pheromones. It has little to do with the Force and functions more like a primitive hypnosis. She can only control what others see, not what they think.
  • Telekinetic: Inanna has been practicing telekinesis ever since she was a kid and has gotten pretty good at it over the years. While she can't bring whole buildings down (yet), she can move small and medium sized objects using the Force.
  • Writer: Writing is one of her talents and a hobby of hers. That's not just me blowing smoke up my butt - ask her to pen something, whether it's a speech, a report, or a full-length novel, and she will do it exceptionally well.

NEUTRALS
  • Soft-hearted: Both a blessing and a curse, she is more likely to help those in need, but is also easier to take advantage of.
  • No Fool, No Fun: Inanna is playful and has a mischievous sense of humor. She often plays pranks and jokes around in an attempt to lighten the mood. Some may find her behavior childish and annoying.
  • Seductress: Inanna can use her shapeshifting and telepathic abilities to appear very appealing to others, but it is a superficial charm. She doesn't necessarily enjoy doing it and derives no sense of empowerment from seducing others. It is simply a means to an end.
  • Wants to Be Liked: Inanna cares too much about what others think of her and will strive to please them, even to her own detriment. She is also easily embarrassed and will feel intense humiliation or shame at the slightest social misstep.
  • Stubborn, Splendid, Adorable Fool: Inanna is extremely vulnerable. She's not very smart, can't really think on her feet, and is easily bested both in a physical fight and a battle of wits by stronger and craftier foes. But every time she stumbles, she manages to bounce back again. Her rage at her failures and her desire to make things right keeps her going. That said, some day she's doomed to fall and not get back up...

WEAKNESSES
  • Scatterbrained: It is extremely easy for other Force users to read her unprotected mind, but they will typically find her thoughts chaotic and hard to follow. She can also be influenced by Mind Trick/Dominate Mind, if you wanna be a jerk - but if you're opting for Drain Knowledge, you'll have to have considerable skill to navigate the mess.
  • Failed Jedi: She spent one year at the Jedi Academy on Coruscant many decades ago, and came away having learned nothing. This failure still haunts her today; it is what ultimately sent her on a downward spiral in the first place.
  • Low Self-esteem: She doesn't think very highly of herself and therefore has made few attempts at improving herself or her skills. Should she find herself in a bad situation, she will rely heavily on the assistance of others and "friends" to help her.

APPEARANCE

june-jenssen-tanith-finishedsmall.jpg

As a Shi’ido shapeshifter, Inanna’s appearance is subject to change, but she generally cycles between only a handful of default forms depending on what the situation calls for. She usually speaks with a seductive, honeyed, sultry feminine voice. When under stress her Shi'idese accent becomes noticeable. Should you manage to make her blush (or bleed) you will notice her blood is black in color.

BIOGRAPHY
"I’ll be whatever you want me to be…"
-Inanna, "Once Upon Another Time"

Born on the remote planet Lao-mon, Inanna Hoole grew up far removed from the rest of the galaxy. She was the seventh of eight children and the only daughter in a family which had a history of producing scientists, anthropologists, and other such scholars. But Inanna had little interest in science. Her true passion lay in storytelling, and she hoped to one day become a novelist.

While the stories she told were grand adventures populated by dashing heroes and dastardly villains, Inanna herself was unadventurous. Timid, withdrawn, bookish and shy, she had simple dreams. She was content with the excitement of her stories and would have settled down and stayed on her homeworld, if circumstances had been different.

Inanna was a solitary child for the most part, with her siblings serving as her primary playmates, but she did have one very close friend from outside the family. A boy named Arimanes Bosch, whose brilliant mind seemed destined to take him far, was mentored by the Hoole clan’s elders. Arimanes liked Inanna very much, but he became particularly fascinated by her Force sensitivity, which he did not share. While he was keen to study the biological aspects of the phenomenon and discussed what he learned with Inanna at length, he had no patience with the teachings of the Jedi or the Sith, viewing them as warring religious sects who did more harm than good. Inanna wasn't sure how she felt about the spirituality of the Force, but her fear of being sent away if her power was discovered prevailed. She kept her power a secret from everyone except Arimanes, only practicing basic telekinesis in private.

Inanna and Arimanes went on to have a youthful romance, but it didn't last. She lost contact with her beloved “Ari” shortly after he left to attend a prestigious academy on Chandrila. He seemed to have forgotten all about her.

Since home harbored only sad memories and bitterness, and her family members were urging her to explore all her options, Inanna decided to seek training from the Jedi on Coruscant. She packed her bags and left Lao-mon behind. At the Jedi Academy, she was unprepared for the difficulties she would face. She understood the Jedi philosophy and could follow along with the lessons, but her lack of discipline soon became a hindrance. In her own words, she “burned out” and eventually dropped out of the Academy.

This failure led to a downward spiral. Unwilling to return home and face the questions and disappointment of her family, she remained on Coruscant, struggling to make end’s meet. She discovered that changelings were considered incredibly useful, albeit for very unpleasant jobs—she was approached by spies, assassins, thieves, and prostitutes, all of whom hoped to exploit her.

Inanna found steady work as a prostitute at the Harem Club in the Uscru Entertainment District, run by Tahiri Levine. To avoid association with her old life, she started going by the name “Maetel”. Because she could literally be whatever her clients desired, her services came at a high price. But no fortune could wipe away the stain of shame. She hated what she was doing, and hated herself for doing it anyway.

Forty years later, Arimanes came looking for her and found her at the Club. He too was going by a different name, hiding his identity in an effort to outrun his past. Decades had passed since they parted ways, and both had become very different people, but vulnerable as she was Inanna jumped at the chance of escaping the abyss she had fallen into. But the deal he offered her ultimately fell through, and the two once again parted ways.

On the other hand, Inanna found a new purpose. Having discovered a Sith plot to abduct and experiment on children in order to give them artificial Force sensitivity, she has begun devoting her time to tracking down those involved in hopes of stopping the mysterious "Lord of Doubt" behind it all. Her investigation led to her joining the Sith Empire, taking a job working in propaganda as a cover for her investigation. But this brought her more trouble than ever before, as Inanna was wheedled into helping a defector escape, unaware that he was carrying vital stolen data. The theft and disappearance was traced to Inanna, who was forced to make a choice with dire consequences both for the future and the state of her soul...

Known Associates

  • Jacen Nimdok Jacen Nimdok - Shi'ido, male, same age as me. My ex. Argh.
  • Anse Baenshaol Anse Baenshaol - On a whim (okay, so alcohol had a lot to do with it...) I bid ten thousand credits for a few hours of this man's time. I lost to a droid, but Anse was happy to chat with me simply for trying. He's a charming and lovably hairy mechanic working for the Agents of Chaos, though he seems to be far more, erm, sane than some of the other members of that faction.
  • 5U-K5 5U-K5 - The droid who outbid me. It was wearing a dress for some reason...
  • Alyosha Drutin - I briefly encountered him during the festival on Ord Mantell. His Wroonian friend was starting to get annoying, but he was able to rein him in.
  • Subject 73 Red Subject 73 Red - A Jedi vigilante with unmistakable bright red hair, he was experimented on in his youth, granting him many superhuman abilities. In a weird twist of fate, he and I were paired up on the dating show. Red has been pursuing Nimdok ever since encountering him somewhere in the Unknown Regions. We've agreed to work together to stop the Lord of Doubt.
  • Ayreon - An HRD I bought from my boss. He used to be a police detective. I'm hoping I can use his sleuthing skills to help me with my investigation.
  • Ishani Dinn Ishani Dinn - Biot, female, age unknown. Nimdok's wife (although since she was dead, would that make her his ex-wife? Or would they be considered estranged? I dunno.) and Miri's mother. Another victim of Arrius Messala. She was also involved in the plot to rescue me from Vanessa, though I didn't interact with her too much.

The Sith Empire
  • Aerarii Tithe Aerarii Tithe - A Moff in the Sith Empire. He offered me a job. I worked for him for a little while, but had to quit due to difficulties adapting to my duties, as well as a few personal issues that came up. He was always pleasant toward me, and I had no complaints against him.
  • Adrian Vandiir - The Dark Councilor of Scientific Advancement. This bastard drives a hard bargain. He's spoiled, opportunistic, selfish, manipulative... and to top it all off, my work is his hobby. Working with him will certainly be interesting, if nothing else.
  • Onrai Onrai - Triumvir of Power. My former master. We are no longer on speaking terms, to say the least.
  • Quinn Varanin Quinn Varanin - Princess of Eshan and a Sith acolyte. Was introduced to her by Vanessa, who apparently knew Quinn's parents years ago. She seemed kind of bratty and stuck-up, but then she is royalty, so that isn't too surprising.
  • Arrik Zarr - Sith acolyte and Changeling mutant. Weirdo who really likes knives. And I mean really, really likes knives. As in, his nickname in college was probably "sword-swallower". I enjoy annoying and provoking him, regardless of the danger.
  • Natima Vando Natima Vando - Sith acolyte and fellow Shi’ido. Got stuck in the bathroom with her, so we busted the door down. She's all right in my book.

NPCs
  • Messala - Half-Bothan, male, around fifty. The Sith Lord who ordered Miri's abduction and experimentation. I won't rest until I see him defeated.https://www.starwarsrp.net/threads/tammuz-hoole.141486/
  • Tammuz Hoole - Shi'ido, male, around four centuries old. My father is a famous scholar and scientist on our homeworld, as well as a retired Jedi Master. Because I consorted with the Sith and chose to destroy evidence of their crimes, he disowned me.
  • Lilith Hoole - Shi'ido, female, around four centuries old. My mother refused to disown me, but we would now be considered estranged. Our relationship is quite tense due to the friction between me and my father.
  • Tahiri Levine - Human, female, late thirties. The owner of the Harem Club, a casino/brothel in the Urscu Entertainment District on Coruscant. She was my former employer, and later was part of the plot to help rescue me from Vanessa. I owe her one.
  • Miri - Near-Human, female, child. Nimdok's young daughter spent a few weeks in my care while we were hiding on the Scintilla. The effects of trauma and experimentation which I observed in the girl during that time left a strong impression on me. I decided to seek justice against the ones responsible.
  • Thetis Suzerain - Human, female, mid thirties. Messala's minion. She was directly involved in Miri's kidnapping and oversaw the experiments. I've been trying to track her down.
  • Pygar Hoole - Sith Changeling, male, early twenties. One of Vandiir's Sithspawn creations, I helped him defect from the Sith Empire. He was later formally adopted by my parents. Like the rest of my family, he is now estranged from me.
  • Faya - Sith Changeling, female, early twenties. Another of Vandiir's Sithspawn, she attempted to betray Pygar, but her plan backfired. We don't like each other very much.
  • Paul Dimiter - Human, male, early thirties. One of Aerarii Tithe's minions, and my former supervisor. A very unpleasant man whom I hope I will never meet again.
  • Hal Yomin - Zeltron, male, late 20s. My uptight secretary and close friend. He used to work for Aerarii Tithe, but he quit after one bad day at the office. After all that he's survived, he either has very bad luck, or very good luck.
  • Martin Hyde - Human, male, early forties. Main manager of Euphoria. My current boss.
  • Ishtar Mina - Biot, female, age unknown. Was sent to kill me. Defeated by Ingrid L'lerim.

A Very Sensitive Matter - After the dating show, Inanna arranges to meet with Red at Istabith Falls. She tells him everything she knows. Realizing that something more complicated is going on, the two team up to launch an in-depth investigation into Miri’s abduction. They split up, with Red looking for Nimdok and Inanna trying to track down Thetis. COMPLETED

Wondering About Wonders - Inanna visits a pair of psychic conjoined twins, Willow and Ivy, and asks them to use their powers to find Thetis. To do this, they use Inanna’s memories, then trace them back to Nimdok and Miri. Using Miri’s fragmented memories of her captivity, the twins successfully track Thetis to Dromund Kaas, where they witness her being punished for her “failure” by her faceless master, the Lord of Doubt. The twins and Inanna have a hostile mental encounter with the Lord of Doubt, who senses their presence. Inanna attempts to protect the twins from the Sith’s wrath, and in return they rescue her from him. Inanna decides to go undercover in the Sith Empire. COMPLETED

Seeking Employment - Character introduction. Inanna visits an employment agency on Telos, apparently seeking a job in the Sith Empire. COMPLETED

Shoring Up the Front (TSE) - Inanna applies for a job on Telos and is promptly contacted by Moff Aerarii Tithe, who places her in the Office of Imperial Truth, TSE’s propaganda division. COMPLETED

Night of Passion (TSE) - Inanna approaches Pygar and Faya, two Sith Changelings created by Adrian Vandiir, at Vandiir’s nightclub. Pygar hates Vandiir and wants to defect from the Sith Empire. He asks Inanna to help him. Inanna is automatically suspicious—and rightfully so, because Faya apparently set the whole thing up in an attempt to get rid of Pygar. After the convoluted situation is resolved, Inanna reluctantly agrees to help Pygar escape, sending him home to her family on Lao-mon, far from the reach of TSE. Unbeknownst to Inanna, Pygar and Faya break into Vandiir’s private residence, where Pygar steals data from their creator’s personal computer on the various Sithspawn he has created. This prompts Vandiir to send a Doppelganger and death squads after him. If Pygar hadn't stolen the data, Vandiir would not have cared about his defection, but now the Changeling is a liability... COMPLETED - INTRODUCTION OF PYGAR AND FAYA

ACT II - Bad Company

Spirit of Adoption - Solo thread. Inanna never actually appears in person. Having defected from the Sith Empire with Inanna's help and carrying a stolen datachip full of incriminating information, Pygar makes his way to Lao-mon and introduces himself to the Hoole family. His arrival just so happens to coincide with the return of Arimanes Bosch (aka Nimdok) who is also hoping to place Miri in the hands of the Hoole family. It's just bad luck that both men are being pursued by the Sith. COMPLETED - REWRITTEN EDITION. OLD VERSION HERE

After the Twilight (TSE) - As the Sith Empire seeks to retake Ord Tiddell, Inanna is caught up in discussions with some potential colonizers and investors. She is out of her element and knowingly has the colonizers sign misleading contracts. COMPLETED - INTRODUCTION OF HAL YOMIN

Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome! (AoC) - After receiving a mysterious invitation to the grand opening of the Red Lady, a brothel on the Scintilla, Inanna attends accompanied by a reluctant Hal Yomin. PRESUMABLY ABANDONED

The Silver Tower - As new information comes to light, Inanna arranges a meeting with Adrian Vandiir. He demands that she destroy the data Pygar stole, but holds out on giving her the security footage of the Lord of Doubt in hopes of getting more in return. She attempts to convince him otherwise through seduction, but is rejected. Suitably chastened, Inanna leaves for Lao-mon. COMPLETED

Unheard and Unspoken - Solo thread. Having been tasked by Vandiir with destroying the stolen datachip, Inanna returns home to Lao-mon for the first time in over forty years. After destroying the data, Inanna is disowned by her father and leaves her home planet, possibly never to return. COMPLETED

ACT III - Dangerous Game

Club Euphoria - After getting a job as assistant manager at a nightclub/brothel on Zeltros, Inanna descends into alcoholism. Then a woman shows up claiming she has news from Red, but something seems sketchy about her. The woman, a biot manufactured by Arrius Messala, lures and attempts to murder Inanna, damages Ayreon, and is eventually defeated by Ingrid L'lerim. COMPLETED - INTRODUCTION OF AYREON

(TSE) Apprentice Tryouts - A very drunk Inanna auditions for a master. She draws the attention of Vanessa Vantai, Triumvir of Power, and agrees to become her apprentice. COMPLETED

Confessions of An Alcoholic - Accompanied by Ayreon, Inanna travels to the Nathema Orbital Complex for her first training session with Vanessa Vantai. Vanessa "breaks" her after whipping her into a frenzy - literally - then subjects her to a highly unorthodox rehabilitation treatment in order to cure her alcoholism. Finally, Inanna is pitted against a Dark Trooper, which she telekinetically disassembles. Her three trials are thus completed, but Inanna is left deeply disturbed by the experience. COMPLETED

Camp: Tree Eater - Inanna travels with the other Sith Acolytes to Ossus, where they must face a forest of deadly wildlife and dangerous plants. She initially tries to avoid the Sith Changeling Arrik Zarr, but then decides it would be more fun to be his cabin buddy and provoke him until he attempts to murder her. A female Sith Pureblood named Jonu watches from another bunk as the tomfoolery plays out. IN PROGRESS

The Shi'ido Are a Silly People - Set during the events of the previous thread, Inanna bumps into fellow Shi'ido and Sith acolyte Natima Vando in the middle of a restless night. The pair become trapped in the bathroom and must break their way out, then have to face the murderous plants outside on their way back to their respective cabins. IN PROGRESS

My Heart is a Hollow Plain - Unbeknownst to Inanna, a concerned Ayreon and Nimdok launch a plot to end her apprenticeship by having Nimdok impersonate Adrian Vandiir and offer to become her new master. The treachery is discovered by Vanessa, however, and things quickly go off the rails. Nimdok and co are imprisoned and Ayreon's body is seized as proof. When Vanessa threatens to experiment on the prisoners, Inanna finally snaps and betrays Vanessa on her own, though she is no match for her former master. The Triumvir decides they are more trouble than they are worth and banishes them from the station under threat of death should they ever return. COMPLETED

Lady of the Tower - Inanna does not appear in person. Vanessa Vantai brings fake evidence of Nimdok's and Ayreon's demise to Tower Vandiir, intending to speak to Adrian Vandiir about the incident, but Adrian is not available. Instead Vanessa winds up speaking to Ingrid L'lerim, Adrian's fiancee and a secret agent. Ingrid sees through Vanessa's deceit and urges her to tell the truth about what occurred, but Vanessa remains firm. COMPLETED

Cocoon - Solo thread. After suffering from recurring nightmares, Inanna abruptly disappears. Her friends go looking for her. COMPLETED

The Coronation Ball - While searching for Erictho, Witch Queen of Ambria, Inanna encounters Arrius Messala himself. He gives her a chance to kill him, but she finds the cost of ending him at the ball in front of the guards is too high. Erictho doesn't prove to be much help, and then Inanna gets stuck in the lift. COMPLETED

Remember to Adrian - While watching the memorial services for Adrian Vandiir, Inanna Hoole receives a visit from the man himself... well, not exactly. COMPLETED - SINGLE POST

Nobody's Fool - Inanna travels to Atrisia to cure her Sith poison. The ritual fully purifies her of the Dark Side and gives her a boost of power. But that hardly matters - she can live her life now, retired, married, and settled down. COMPLETED - FINAL THREAD
