OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Shipyards Name: Nathema Orbital Complex
  • Classification: Planetary Shipyard
  • Location: Nathema
  • Affiliation: Sith Empire(Greater Maldrood, Defiance Consolidated Multipurpose Manufacturing)
  • Population: Heavily Staffed
  • Accessibility: Guarded, but not at all difficult to find given the location in orbit of the planet below
  • Description: The Nathema Orbital Complex has taken over most starship manufacturing on behalf of DCMM for the Sith Empire. It is a complex mishmash or fighter and bomber assembly lines, with drydocks capable of working on multiple new ships up to Star Destroyer class. Several smaller drydocks can handle anything up to the size of a heavy cruiser. A section of the shipyards are dedicated to the refitting and manufacturing of prototype Imperial warships, such as the Silencer-class Dreadnought and the "Sun Crusher."
OPERATIONS INFORMATION
SECURITY
Maximum

The facility features an array of long-range sensor beacons utilizing a crystal grav-field trap, along with magnetic, image distortion, thermal, and gravitational sensors to detect cloaked or stealthed ships attempting to clandestinely enter the facility. Multiple Silencer-class Dreadnoughts, in concert with an Attrition IIL-class Light Star Destroyer and several standard Attritions, provide the garrison for the station alongside the Invictus II-class Star Battlecruiser Myriad. The station itself carries multiple fighter and bomber wings of various Sith classes, primarily Forge and Vornskr-class Interceptors. Several wings of Detritus heavy bombers and TIE/HV Fighter-Bombers are carried for anti-warship duty. The facility is always patrolled by several wings of TIE/D Droid Starfighters that are regularly rotated in and out and refueled, having a preprogrammed patrol path around the outpost.

The Complex itself fits a variety of anti-fighter weaponry - seeker cluster missiles, flak guns, and composite beam lasers. It is expected the immense amount of fighters the facility possesses, in concert with escorting warships, would be able to handle any enemy complement.

As well, given the facility is the central hub for Maldrood fleet operations, also serving as a manufacturing yard for Sith warships, it is likely that one or more Greater Maldrood or Sith Empire fleets will be present at any given time to assist in defending the facility.

POINTS OF INTEREST
The shipyard is divided into primary units and subunits. The primary units consist of small craft(fighters/bombers), small warships(corvettes and frigates), medium warships(cruisers/heavy cruisers), and heavy warships(Light Star Destroyers/Star Destroyers). The yard is subdivided into Sith, Maldrood, and general purpose manufacturing facilities, signifying products manufactured for use either for the market, for the Sith, or for the Maldrood. A subsection of the Maldrood and Sith yards are reserved for the creation of prototypes - a single large manufacturing yard in each that is only used for prototypes when they are being created.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Upon her ascension to a position of influence within the Dark Magus, Vanessa Vantai utilized the resources allotted to her to, using immense quantities of Magus-affiliated manpower in concert with her own corporation, craft the Nathema Orbital Complex. Initially manufacturing only fighters and bombers, multiple additional yards were added within months and construction seemed almost never-ending. As it currently exists, the shipyard is a manufacturing facility that sustains the Greater Maldrood and provides the Sith Empire with a wide variety of starship classes.

Hello there,

Please link to the Sith Empire page in the market field.

I'll also need you to go back and hyperllink all the weapons, ships, and other items mentioned in your sub for reference purposes before I can proceed with my review.

It's fine if you have some measures in place to improve the chances of detecting stealth craft, but this reads like like it's a sure thing. Please soften the language here.

How do the image distortion sensors work?

Edited. Given that canonical examples of stygium cloaks for moving objects or ships produce optical distortion when active(as was showcased by the Republic stealth ship in Nu-Canon and the various stealth field generators of KOTOR in Legends), the optical distortion sensors search for optical distortions caused by a cloaking field. Given that gravitational bodies have the ability to create optical distortions at range, it is not a foolproof method of detecting such a cloaked ship.

Alright, that's fine.

Its composite beam laser complement is somewhat thin - it is expected the immense amount of fighters the facility possesses would be able to handle any enemy complement.
Are you suggesting that the facility can field these weapons? Even at maximum rating, I think this is a wee bit overkill for shipyards, on top of having your advanced detection suite, the protection of local fleets, and whatever operational ships and fighters may be running through the shipyard at the time.

It's the only shipyard currently in use by the Maldrood and is of vital tactical importance. I can remove the super-heavy beams, I guess. [member="Jyoti Nooran"]

Please do. I'm fine with some minor emplacements like laser cannons or ant-missile octets. You already have a large dedicated fleet patrolling the space, so you're not missing out on much.
