Faction Harrowed March | Chaos Undivided {First Order + Request}

CU_chapter_1.png

The FIRST ORDER suffered several defeats at its northern rimward front! Several outposts and an important listening post have been destroyed by the assaults of EKADDON THE ARSONIST, infamous Mawite Dark Jedi and his brutal coalition of misfits. They are hardly pressing the new regime through raids and swift attacks.

Under the personal command of the SUPREME LEADER, the First Order assembles both frontline units to combat the marauding forces and eventually try to push them back as well as logistical forces to rebuild what has been lost. Further contacts with local industry and nobility have to be rekindled to incorporate the resources into the regime.

The first stage of this operation aims for the valuable world of LORARDIA and its deposits of Maranium. A portion of the marauder fleet is known to operate from there and holds the local mining guilds under their cruel rule. Therefore a unit of the PRAETORIAN KNIGHTS is dispatched to find the guild leaders and their resistance and help them while the IMPERIAL FLEET has to try to lure out the enemies before a new outpost can be constructed in the system.

Chapter_1_find_and_protect.png

For: Imperial Knights, Agents, Special Operations
  1. Find the leaders of the mining guilds. They went undercover to hide from the marauders and are protected by private security.
  2. Bring them to the table with the First Order and either secure dependency, ownership or a contract beneficial to the regime.
  3. Protect them or the one who decides to side with us against the marauders who have discovered the hideout.

Chapter_1_seek_and_destroy.png

For: Fleeters, Ground Pounders (boarding, capturing the base)
  1. Locate the marauder fleet base in the asteroid belt.
  2. Engage the fleet and destroy or capture the base. Be mindful, the Marauder ships are fast and hard hitting but cannot take a punishment. Most of their ships are Frigates and Cruisers able to quickly move through the dense asteroid belt.

Chapter_1_gather_and_rebuild.png

For: Politicians, Industrials, Diplomats, Engineers, Soldiers
  1. Contracts with several companies have to be arranged to both meet the supply requirements of the expanding First Order and to support rebuilding processes in the regions devastated by war.
  2. Several outposts along the northern rimward border have been lost, rebuild them as well as a vital listening post.

LORARDIA SYSTEM, FOS FURIOSA,
COMMAND CENTER

The Marshal Commander stood in the Command Center of the Resurgence-class Furiosa together with his senior staff and some of the Imperial Fleet officers and discussed the coming parameters of their deployment. The ship and squadron were in hyperspace en route to the Lorardia System to battle the advances of the Mawite marauder remnants which were targeting the First Order. Talos was aware of the prowess of some of their units and was actually quite eager to cross blades with them, having a worthy adversary was what he longed for.

Meanwhile though they were checking on scan-docs and reports, former about the system and latter about the attacks which happened. This was a joint operation and his troops were deployed to assist against boarding operations as well as do them, suspecting an enemy forward operating base in the system. It would mean hard hand to hand combat, difficult and taxing, but the First Legion was ready and they are eager to get engaged again.

But for that they had to find the location of it first. There was an extensive asteroid belt in the system and the marauders were witty enough to do hit and run tactics so far and not engage in a head-on fleet battle with the Imperial Fleet. Not that it was Tassar's strong suit to evaluate naval tactics and operations, but he could add one and one. The fleet guys were quite focused on options to lure the enemy out and make them attack to spring a trap somehow. Fine by him as long as his deck was not blown away under him, he and his men would fight were they were, patiently waiting with their trigger fingers ready and the blades loosened in their sheathes.

My task is not yet complete. Did I expect to have it accomplished at an extravagent party? No, I am not that naive. The party was but a stepping stone. It had allowed me to be introduced to this new Empire's Supreme Leader. And not just one of his assistants mind you, but the Supreme Leader himself! I am quite certain that my parents will be most pleased when they hear this news.

Following that introduction, I had been invited to stay a little longer for a proper meeting. That was something that I could not turn down! And so I remained in close contact until such a time that the meeting shall take place. My time in between was well spent with a little bit of shopping and touring so that I can get a better feel for the area and anticipate it's needs. Not to mention where New Cov's biomolecules and their products can be utilized the most.

And like any proper Lady, I attend the meeting in elegant style, with my head held high and my shoulders back. Patience is a virtue. Luckily for me I carry it in spades. I have been brought up well. I know in my heart that this meeting will prove successful for NCBC and for New Cov.

It only needs to start.

SERENNO, THE CITADEL,
OWN SOLAR

Other than at the gala where he was polished and neat like the ruler he was supposed to present himself as, Trajann usually wore a simple black uniform with dark grey and wide riding trousers and high black leather boots. Not ornaments, decorations, fancy epaulettes or anything, only the maw of the First Order on his left arm, embroiled into the sturdy textile. He was in fact looking a lot more impressive, his quite flawless physique being more highlighted by the simplistic dress.

The door to his solar, his front office so to speak, was opened by one of the Praetorian Guards, an anonymous warrior in red armour and a brutal looking melee weapon in his hand, letting the woman in and alone with the Supreme Leader. Trajann was indeed sitting there, relatively relaxed in the high-ceiling room with large windows, in a large armchair with his backrest. There was a pair of them standing in front of one of the windows. He would rise from his seat, laying down the datapad he was studying and looking at the woman with a gentle smile.

"Lady Terallo, correct? My pleasure to meet you again so soon, you look as stunning as before if I may say so." He was charming and he was genuine. A strange combination for this absolute ruler who rose through pure willpower and military might. "Please, take a seat." Trajann would gesture to the empty armchair opposite of his.

The Imperator was not only forthcoming and charming, he was observant and study every movement or gesture of the female. Not out of biological interest, but political and security. This was not a pleasure meeting, but business and every business could always lead to the inevitable occurrence of opposition, competition or outright hostility. Trajann looked for opportunities to serve his cause and NCBC might be one.

"Can I offer you some tea?" He gestured to a tray nearby where a cup of his own was already steaming.

The guard standing before me opens the door to allow myself entry. I cannot help but take note of his intimidating stature. I need not look to my ring to discover if the guard is a Force wizard. That fact is spoken about amongst some of the populace.

I step further inside with my attention focused solely upon the Supreme Leader as he sits--no rises from his desk. I return his smile with my own, dipping my head in acknowledgement of his compliment. "Lord Vemec, if I may address you as such, the pleasure is all mine. I thank you for the invitation in a more quieter setting." Indeed his office is both more quiet and private. That in and of itself is what I can only hope for. Afterall, the whole Galaxy need not know of all that NCBC has been up to as of late.

Like a gracious host a seat is offered, as well as some tea. I round one of the chairs and take a seat. My feet are crossed at the ankles and tucked underneath the chair while my hands are folded lightly upon my lap. My back is poised and straight for a Lady never slouches! My posture and my manners are not dictated by his charms. It is known that the man is married, afterall. Instead I act based upon my upbringing and years of training under the tutelage of New Cov's finest educators.

"I would be delighted to have some tea. Thank you." As I wait for it to be served, I take the moment to speak up first and initiate the meeting to go beyond smalltalk. "As you may well know, New Cov is a hidden jewel among the Galaxy with a rare commodity that will be most beneficial to a rising Empire like your own. How familiar are you with biomolecules?"

Within the confines of her ship, Yuna paced the halls, contemplating on her next move.

The asteroid belt proved to serve as an...acceptable place to hide from Imperial search parties, but a lone ship in the middle of this belt...it would prove to be a death sentence soon enough, especially when she had found signs of other craft in the area. It was for that reason, her ship had remained entirely deactivated, life support on bare minimum, with the dim glow of terminals serving as a guide for any inside.

With her bridges burned on both sides of the firing line now, she found herself in a strange position.

She'd dealt with this sort of thing before, but...it felt different this time around.

So, until she had an answer, she would continue to pace. As if that would make her feel better.

(OOC: So sorry, I thought this was a thread looking for pvp partners at first, don't mind me.)

He would pour her the cup of tea and then took his own, sitting down in his armchair opposite of her. He would leave it to her if she would want to add citrus, milk or sugar, all were on the tray and readily available for anyone to be used. The tea was still hot and he held the cup relatively close to his chest, enjoying the gentle steaming of the brew rising into his nose.

Trajann was not surprised for her to take the reigns nor did he mind. It took some work off of him to be more passive and allowed him to relax his thoughts while steering to the necessary conclusions or connections whenever necessary. Her question was very gentle, trying to figure out on which level of professionality she could converse with him. It even made him smile slightly which quickly disappeared behind him sipping from his tea.

"I am aware of New Cov's unique biotope and a variety of possible applications for the biomolecules you are harvesting but I would overstep my understanding if I would say that I know all its possible applications, practical, theoretical or hypothetical."

The man would place his tea back on the saucer and offer a question. "What are some of the practical and working usages of the biomolecules?"

I add a little milk to my tea, giving it a gentle stir of the spoon. I am mindful not to have the spoon clink the edges too much. There are some that find such a sound to be quite irritable. And just as quietly I set the spoon on the saucer.

My attention is fully on the Supreme Leader as he speaks. His answer is unsurprising for there are many that have given me a similar response when a meeting like this has taken place. I have a small sip of my own tea before I answer his question in kind. "There are quite a bit of uses for our biomolecules. One of our medicinal applications is a gel-like substance that works faster and better than bacta. In a practical sense we are working with a major station to create a steel infused with the biomolecules that is quite remarkable. The bigger the force that hits it, the stronger it gets. Terra-forming is another of it's practical uses. We also have military implications whereas we have created blades with paper thin edges that can cut unlike any other. Our armor is both light and strong. And for a unique application--" I hold out my hand towards him and allow him to look upon my Covines ring. "--we have jewelry that specializes in detecting Force wizards and which side of alignment that they fall upon." However for me and my colorblindness the distinction that my ring reveals is indistinguishable.

Of course there are other projects that the Covie are working on with biomolecules. But I am not at liberty to divuldge them just yet. The studies are ongoing afterall. And not everyone would find those studies to be moral or ethical in nature.

I draw back my hand and take a sip of my tea. "Do any of those applications hold value to your growing Empire, my Lord?"

He listened. He listened intently. And then he smiles.

"All of them."

The multitude of applications was incredible for any usage. The gel sounded very promising for civilian and military use alike, a quick bacta replacement just applied seemed like an undeniable asset in nearly any situation, be it improving quality of life or patching up wounded troopers. The armour and blade applications had its obvious benefits and would certainly need to be explored and tested by the First Orders arms industry. But the construction and terraforming were highly intriguing. A substance getting harder in relation to the energy that hit it, it was to be seen if it had a military application, but for production and construction it be invaluable.

"In what way would the biomolecules support or enhance terraforming?"

Then the ring. That made him smile again and a curious and even more intrigued expression ran over his face. "May I?" He reached out with his hand.

My eyebrows lift in surprise. Most of our customers focus on just one aspect of our biomolecule production. And yet here the Supreme Leader is interested in all of it. That in and of itself will generate great profit for NCBC should contracts be created and signed.

A question about terra-forming is brought up. It is a common one to be asked in these types of meetings and so my answer is well rehearsed. "The biomolecules are in every sense of the word 'natural'. There is nothing synthetic about them. They are harvested from the flora of New Cov which thrives and rules the world in it's own right. They have their own intelligence, if one can call it that, and when introduced to a landscape, they duplicate and spread themselves quickly, enriching the soil and inundating the landscape with similar flora to what thrives on New Cov." I hope that my reply didn't feel too rehearsed. But one can easily assume that I have been to these types of meetings many times.

I set down my tea cup onto the saucer as the Supreme Leader asks to view my ring. I hold out my hand to him to inspect the ring for himself. I do not remove it. That is for him to do if he so chooses. "Yes you may, my Lord." I cannot help but keep my focus on the crystals to see if there is any hint of a glow as he draws near to it. I do not expect that it will glow, given what I have learned of him so far. And I certainly hope that it will not.

The Recluse remained invisible at the edge of the asteroid belt, where it had remained for several days already. They had been tracking the movements of Ekkadon The Arsonist and his despicable warbands for what felt like an eternity since leaving The Enclave's sphere of influence, Having gone renegade and declared Akaan'gaan- "The Search For Battle"- for the second time in the fleet's shadowy history.

By all rights, this was another Unsanctioned black op.

But Aloy Vizsla, Duchess of The Black Fleet, wouldn't have it any other way. While true that she spent the entirety of the War against the Maw in a cell, It was Apollyon The Betrayer Apollyon The Betrayer and her traitorous Mandalorians who were responsible.
She had been hunting Death Watch since declaring the
Great Shadow Crusade against her in 863, and the fact that Ekkadon employed Mawite Death Watch remnants made this personal. Thus, the hunt began.

Her plan was simple: Wait for one of the Mawite vessels to become isolated, and catch them unaware in an ambush. Then they would simply call in Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil 's "Golden Dragon" to cover their retreat with the captured vessel, which they would later retrofit for use in the upcoming war against The Sith.

With The Golden Dragon
ready to exit hyperspace at a moment's notice, they would surely see victory on this day and perhaps even capture multiple vessels for the growing fleet.

Or destroy more Mawites. Either way was fine to the old Vizsla.

However, there was one variable they weren't quite expecting.
The First Order had planned a grand purge of the system today.

They were Unaware.

Kaleigha stared at the holomap projected before her, leaning on the table heavily. It was a map of the Lorardia system, where they would be popping out of hyperspace in a minute or so. A red dot pulsed at the edge of the map, indicating the point where the FOS Furiosa would exit hyperspace. The admiral had decided to have the battlecruiser and its escort enter realspace farther out from their original entry point, lest they want the Mawites to have an ambush ready for them.

"First officer! Prepare the ship for combat," Kaleigha ordered, turning to look at the man standing rigidly against the bulkhead across the room. He saluted, then turned on a heel and exited the room, headed for the bridge.

She turned back to look at all of the senior officers surrounding the map, all studying it thoughtfully. "We need to find a way to bait the Mawites out of the asteroid field. And that may mean sacrificing one of our own. The bait must be enticing enough, otherwise, the enemy will believe it is a trap. So, we must send the Reaper."

Around the table, there were gasps. "That is too far, Admiral! My frigate? You're out of your-"

"Silence, Captain! For your own safety, speak to me with a respectful tone!" Kaleigha snapped, piercing him with a cold glare. The old man straightened and apologized.

"Good. Now, as I was saying, once the bait is deployed, then we will wait until the Mawites jump for it hungrily. Once we do that, we will move in. If they have a line ship, say, a frigate or higher," she turned to Talos Tassar, "I will need you and your team to board the ship, capture its leader, and find out where the forward operating base is. Is everyone clear on this plan?"

Ships in Flotilla: The Golden Dragon

Chapter_1_seek_and_destroy.png

Leenic stood quietly in front of the holotable in the center of the Golden Dragon's bridge, watching the passive sonar signatures of space debris floating past the ship's hull in a pattern that looked something like the northern lights of Hoth, whisps of color splashed across the otherwise bland image of the Dragon's exterior.

The galaxy was silent in this moment, and the dark red glow of the ship's general quarters lights gave Leenic a momentary feeling of peace as the bridge officers did one final systems check before reporting to the Lieutenant that the ship was prepared for combat.

"Captain, the Dragon is fully operational." The Mercenary said, looking at Leenic from over the holotable. "Engine room is reporting that the hyperdrive is fully spooled up and Nav has the coordinates locked in for our insertion."

"Fully operational, aye." Leenic replied, standing up straight and giving the Lieutenant a nod. "Send a recorded message to Alloy informing her that the dragon is ready to jump when she gives the word, encryption level 3. I don't want anyone to know we are here yet."

"Aye, sir."

As the man walked off towards the comm room, Lennic moved his attention back to the table in front of him and swapped the view to a tacmap of the battlefield. When the flotilla had arrived several days ago, Alloy had reviewed the battle plan to quickly swipe a maurauder ship from the nearby asteroid belt before using the Dragon's superior size, armor, and firepower to either distract the enemy long enough for Alloy to flee or completely wreck the hostile fleet.

Leenic intended to destroy the hostile fleet.

And so here he had sat for seven days, waiting in deep space for Alloy to give the signal to attack while the Dragon herself seemed to eagerly wait for the chance to be used. Just yesterday, a few of the Gunners mates had reported that the autoloader in gun five had begun loading an energy cell into the battery in spite of no one touching it. The Machinist mates had chalked it up to faulty wiring. But Leenic was still convinced it was the ship letting everyone know she was ready for bloodshed.

Several minutes ago the general quarters alarm was sounded in response to Alloy's alert of hostile ships approaching. And now, the Dragon sat quietly just out of view of anyone that might be looking for her.

Waiting to hunt her prey.

Trajann is intrigued by the small precious object. He leans forward to inspect the crystal and pewter, observing and inspecting from an arm-length away for a moment. Then he gets closer to try it, curiosity triumphant, as he approaches to see it from close up and if it would react to him at all.

While an extremely potent Force user, the Supreme Leader has avoided everything Light and Dark sided so far, his heart is clear of affiliation but the duty and ambitions of the First Order. He is ruthless and brutal but not for pleasure or for the sake of it, but because when he is, he has to. When he can, he is fair and even kind and seeks the most productive outcome for any side.

Thus he would observe the rings glow . . . .

Before leaning back and nodding at her. "How high is your production output for the med-gel? Other than that direct buy-interest, I would like to propose the possibility of raising sites in First Order space, one for research and at least one for production if your board is interested. We would be willing to contribute to it with funds and location if you deliver expertise and samples and of course, products ultimately."

Talos did not have the chance yet to work alongside Admiral Makani but he definitely commended her decision. Why playing chasy-chasy catchy-catchy in an asteroid field when you could lure the enemy out for relatively little effort and losses. A frigate was a valuable asset and warship but it was also not comparable to the value of the system and what a swift victory would mean here. He understood the disbelief of its captain but was also understanding shutting him down immediately.

The Marshal Commander would not doubt the command. He loved his troopers but he loved the greater good more and would serve it with flawless distinction and unwavering determination.

His head dipped as the Admiral addressed him. "Absolutely Admiral. My entire Legion is at your command and we will board anything which comes into range. Just get us close enough and wear down the fighter screens so that at least some of us make it." He said it as dryly as he said anything, it was a form of gallow humour and cold realism, he hated to waste opportunities.

No! This cannot be! As the Supreme Leader gets really close to my ring I can see the tell tale sign of it starting to glow! Why must everyone be a Force wizard! I am surrounded by them whenever I step away from New Cov! And here I had thought that the First Order held their Force wizards in check! But no! They are led by one of them!

It is difficult for me to hide my disappointment and distress at such a revelation, however I do my very best. I draw back my hand and use it to pick up my tea and have a good sip of it. I cannot allow my personal feelings or thoughts get in the way of a contract. That in and of itself is strictly forbidden. It is one of the cardinal rules in business.

So I focus on the purely business aspect of this meeting, reminding myself to not allow it to become personal. This deal is for the benefit of New Cov and the people that our products help, afterall.

"Our production levels are quite good, my Lord. Our technology may be a bit behind the rest of the Galaxy due to our isolation, but that does not hinder the quality of our products. Your proposal is sound and beneficial, however extra security measures will need to be in place for any shipments of raw biomolecules into First Order space." New Cov has a history of being raided by pirates and the like for the precious biomolecules, most especially in their raw form. Any shipments being sent on a long journey would also be in danger.

Kaleigha Makani Kaleigha Makani Leenic Ellsil Leenic Ellsil Talos Tassar OPEN

"Daimyo,"

Aloy looked up from the ship's holotransceiver as a Mandalorian called from the nearby command bridge.

"Something has left hyperspace in our vicinity!"

"How many?" She pushed away from the map and marched into the bridge, earning the abrupt stare and silence of her officers as they eagerly awaited orders to engage the enemy.

All in due time.

"Can't say, ma'am, these asteroids are limiting scan-range. But it's off port-bow at some distance" The armor-clad officer answered reluctantly as the two arrived, their crew in a flurry as the engines were prepared and scans closely monitored.

"I see... Mister Harrow, prepare battle stations but hold your fire. Inform The Golden Dragon that we copy, and are investigating an unidentified hyperspace exit with results to follow shortly.

Move out!"

The Recluse began to move silently through the asteroid field, it's most basic shields diverting the smallest of asteroids away harmlessly, while the crew took special care to slip the largest without collision. It was an uneventful and brief trip, all things considered, and the various sensory countermeasures and the cloaking device ensured that they would pass through undetected. Even to the naked eye.

But then they encountered something in between them and the signal's source. A ship.

"Vessel on scan, approaching visual range"

"Bring it up" Aloy examined the holographic image closely as the scans came in, a dull golden light beginning to form in the approximate shape of The Reaper. To everyone's surprise, there were no others within range.

"Hm... Imperial or First Order make, Arquitens-class I believe? Stolen by Ekkadon's pirates, no doubt"

There was no other reason to send a cruiser like that by it's lonesome. Not into Ekkadon's hornet's nest of marauders and Sorcerers. If this were to be a First Order vessel, it would be suicide! If they were anything like the Imperials she had faced before, then even they wouldn't be so cruel.

"Very good. Prepare a jump once we're in range, and Someone tell The Dragon that we're engaging a stolen Cruiser. Give them coordinates nearby, wherever they can fit the beast. They'll have to wait outside the field where they can't hog all the kills for themselves!"

The crew laughed with her, though they were keenly aware that their target was about Three Times their size. Still, they had boarded bigger under her command and lived to tell the tale. They were ready.

Soon The Recluse Micro-Jumped behind
The Reaper, with only a few hundred meters between them, which put the enemy within range of their Advanced Jamming Field, capable or nullifying communications and scanners alike.

"Decloak and ready a warning shot!"

The cloak dropped, allowing the vessel to be seen by the naked eye as their image faded in, The vessel looking as if it was spat out by The Nether itself as they began to rapidly close the distance.

"Fire!"

Their appearance was immediately followed by two shots from the twin Ion-cannons at the ship's bow, then a message.

If The Reaper were to accept to their hail, Then a simple message would play:

::Recluse to Unidentified vessel: Be you Maw or be you First Order, We have you right where we want you. Stand down now and prepare to be boarded, or you will be fired upon. Consider this warning carefully. It is your only warning::

Any attempts to respond in kind would be met with silence and jamming, leaving The Reaper with few avenues of communication with The Recluse other than compliance or resistance. And in the event of battle, they were prepared to strike at the engines first. Hopefully they wouldn't have to, But the crew was ready to fight for this ship even if it meant taking losses against superior numbers on board.

POV: THE REAPER

Captain Lathesema fumed in his command chair. That Admiral Makani thought she was so clever... What beef did she have with him that she would send the Reaper out as bait? He commanded a frigate, a respectable warship. Why not send a corvette out? Sure, she said a corvette wasn't enticing enough, but Lathesema was certain that this was personal.

Suddenly, a transmission came on the bridge.
::Recluse to Unidentified vessel: Be you Maw or be you First Order, We have you right where we want you. Stand down now and prepare to be boarded, or you will be fired upon. Consider this warning carefully. It is your only warning::
"What is that?! Where did it come from?" Captain Lathesema yelled to the sensors officer.

"Sir! They're behind us! A few hundred meters!" the panicked young man replied.

"HOW DID THEY GET BEHIND US? ARE YOU BLIND?!" Lathesema raged, standing up from his seat.

The captain hustled to the scanning console and looked at the live image of the aft recorder. A corvette. The captain scoffed. A corvette. Threatening a frigate. Suddenly, two ion cannon shots lanced out from the smaller vessel and struck the frigate's bow. Immediately, the bow's recorder feed turned to static. "Kriff! Turn the Reaper around, helm! All men, battle stations!"

This corvette truly thought it could take on a First Order frigate? Fools. Lathesema would show them the might of the First Order (and show Makani that he would not appreciate being bait.

POV: ADMIRAL MAKANI

Kaleigha glanced at her chrono...it had been a while since the Reaper's last check-in. "Comms, attempt to hail the Captain Lethesema," she ordered.

Most likely, it was just the captain being stubborn. He probably thought Kaleigha had a personal vendetta against him, but that would be very far from the truth. The admiral never liked to bring personal "baggage" to work. Hell, she barely even knew that guy.

"Nothing, Admiral. It's like the Reaper is being jammed!" the junior officer reported.

So it wasn't the captain being stubborn. What a genuine surprise. It seemed her trap had been sprung. "Helm, move the fleet in on Lethesema's path. We will find him eventually. Also, reconfigure the fleet. One frigate in front, the other three corvettes defending the rear." She turned to Talos Tassar. "Any suggestions? Concerns?"

"Captain! Comms says they got a response!"

Leenic's frame went rigid as the Lieutenant ran into the scanner section of the bridge, the man visibly on edge from the sudden update of their alert level.

"Well?" Leenic said expectantly, tapping his right index finger against the durasteel frame of the holotable. "She say anything? Or did the Recluse just open a comm channel for the hell of it?"

"The Recluse reported that they were engaging a hostile Cruiser, sir, Nav says the updated coordinates are locked in and we are cleared to launch." The Lieutenant quickly responded a breathless excitement hanging off of his voice like a sheet of ice on the side of a building. "Give the order and the Dragon will move into position."

Leenic felt an uncontrollable smile appear under his helmet, this was how Mandalorians were meant to enter the field. Alloy's stealth tactics, useful for piracy, would do nothing to intimidate an enemy force into surrender, and the Recluse would do even less to cripple a fleet on her own.

It was time for the Dragon to rear her head and show her teeth.

"Get us in there Lieutenant," Leenic said, swapping the holotable to the tac map view and opening up the PA comm channel through his headset. "All stations, bridge, prepare for battle. Sound general quarters alarms, raise all shields, charge weapons, and ready the point jump drive. We will be going in blind, so all unknowns are to be considered hostile until otherwise stated."

Leenic paused, feeling the hum of the ship as her hyperdrive and engines roared to life and she began to get underway.

"Once we are inside of the AO, weapons free."

As the ship jumped to hyperdrive, Leenic listened silently as the various stations sounded off in confirmation of his orders as the blaring of the general quarters alarm sounded throughout the ship, bringing all crew to full alert now that their mettle would be finally tested in (at minimum) a very strong intimidation maneuver against a far inferior force.

"Lieutenant, keep me in the loop with Comm. I want to know exactly who we are facing once Alloy is within range." He said, feeling the ship's pull as she fell out of hyperspace just behind the asteroid field. "If she needs help, I will be the first to know. Understood?"

"Aye, sir." The Mercenary said, giving Leenic a quick salute before walking off at a brisk pace to the Comms room.

After returning the salute in kind, Leenic glanced over at the various crewmembers moving about the main control room, each double and triple checking their stations as the ship fully slowed to a halt and pulled its large sensor suite online. As scanners and radar rapidly blinked to life, the Tacmap quickly lit up with real-time updates on the moving asteroids, space debris, and various other objects in the system before registering its friend-foe marking system and calibrating it to the ships within the system.

Leenic saw the outline of the Recluse, only visible on their scanners due to the friendly channels they had open, then the hostile cruiser it was pursuing, and then...

"Son of a bantha," Leenic said, eyes going wide as several other signatures popped up on the long-range scanners. A first order Battlecruiser, unknown design but the triangle shape gave off its allegiance, and the small frigate escort accompanying it certainly seemed to fit their naval doctrine perfectly. Feeling slightly panicked, Leenic clicked the PA system online with a direct channel to the Comms room. "OPEN A GODDAMN COMM CHANNEL WITH THE RECLUSE, NOW!"

As the channel opened, Leenic wasted no time with greetings before speaking to whoever was listening on the other end. "Recluse, this is the Golden Dragon, you dumbasses are engaging a First Order scout!" He said frantically. "They have what looks like a battlecruiser and several frigates approaching your position as we speak, advise a full retreat if you can't nab that thing within the next 4 minutes!"

SERENNO, THE CITADEL,
OWN SOLAR

"Good. I want to trial it on several Legions before we are addressing the possibility to supply it armed forces wide, to see its effects and benefits in action."

His eyes set on her and did not change throughout the conversation, he was genuinely welcoming and friendly but determined, even though he saw and sensed the tension in her once he checked on the ring and it was glowing. There was no secret to him being the leader of the Praetorian Knights and he would not react to her reaction. It was not necessary and not in any way productive.

"As for the transports. We can agree on escorts and guarantee security on our end of the bargain. If your board prefers and can offer a more reasonable and mutually beneficial deal by expanding not here but on New Cov, forward it to me."

"We are definitely interested to forge a good working relationship with yours truly. Difficult times call for strong bonds and mutual aid."
