Faction Happy Birthday with a Twist (RHA, and guests)

kaboom-1170962-1982802-regular.jpg

Happy Birthday to Queen Faith!!

Alderaan usually always peaceful was now in full swing of a celebration. The main passages to New Aldera were decorated with lights and banners. Faith looked out the window to once more take notice of the banners fluttering effortlessly with the breeze all proclaiming Happy Birthday to the Queen. The island in the middle of the lake would play host to those sailing and flying into the Capital City of Alderaan. Security was tight as concerns were always high at large events. Faith made sure Ikenna Tahj Ikenna Tahj and Kilij Qel-Nosh Kilij Qel-Nosh knew her plans for the most part. The Order of the WolfCat was on hand mostly ceremonial, as well as the Alderaan Knights whom Ike Commanded. In the skies about Andien Gale Andien Gale and her son Theo patrolled to ensure Alderaan was safe.

Everyone had been invited once again. It could have been a private affair but Faith did not think that when it came time celebrate it should be a small event. Therefore it was decided that using House Vereen, and House Organa funds they put together the party. She would not spend Alderaan funds on this, it felt like a misuse of funds. She would want to avoid that. She had to be careful with the House funds too afterall they were not excessively wealthy. Though she still wished Draco would let her sell that painting of Ra Viszla and Isley thankfully it was locked in a deep dark vault.

Happy Birthday. Faith's eyes grew wide for a moment as she contemplated that sentiment Happy Birthday, it was to mean a party fun, dancing so many activities to wish her well on adding another year to her age. She was another year older.

A deep sigh escaped her lips as she slumped down to a chair.

Becca was standing nearby, "Happy Birthday Faith"

"thank you" she whispered in return as she slowly turned her head to look at her Aide. Secretary. Confidante.

"Becca I have invited several Senators to Alderaan to take a tour of Sanctuary City with me at some point during these celebrations. Please make sure there is a conference with all security measures in place. I don't want anything to happen to them while here"

Becca nodded, "it will have to be the opening ceremonies. You requested no gifts only contributions to the refugee fund so we don't have the presentations to go through."

"Thank the goddess for that, nothing more I hate than sitting still for long periods of time while making everyone thing of some bauble to have brought me for adding another year to my age." She was rambling she glanced to Becca, "Yes. That would provide plenty of time. Can you make sure Blu is on hand tonight, and if Tia would bring Edee I think. No...maybe not Edee but Blu I would be glad to have with me tonight."

Her family would be there who could arrange to come. Her sister Arabella and her husband Muad Dib would like not be there. Theo and Garith also would not....Her mother might show, Tia said she would stop in. Theo would be there. The problem you see was this was a public event and all the wishes her family had would come in private this was for everyone who wanted to celebrate. Her father would not be there. Oh that was another story all together.

Faith wasn't sure she was celebrating another birthday.

Oh Claire and Alicio Organa Alicio Organa might stop in but it was also noted that she had the young count extremely busy these days.

The meeting at Sanctuary City might draw his attention. Faith realized she was wandering in thought.

"Ok Becca let's get me trussed up to show off"

Fresh from her apparent fight on the Starways express, Xasha was looking forward to something much more relaxed and chilled. Her Government had lauded her approach towards the starways legislation but her campaign advisors did suggest she tried to make at least some friends. So here she was, a birthday party for a fairly excellent human being by all accounts. The other members of her bloc were also here.

The outfit she had chosen was something fun and bold, mirroring her own personality. The short ra ra skirt and crop top showed off her trim figure but the wings, she loved them, they were a lighter than they looked and they moved beautifully as she walked into the gala room and hopefully right up to the birthday girl. She had received the memo about gifts and had chosen to donate several large advanced clean energy power generation units. Its the gift she would have enjoyed herself, she respected the woman's dedication to her cause. The reason Xasha was in politics was because of her own environmental causes and she loved fighting for them. There was a couple of politicians in the FAC she felt she was on a similar level with, provided they remembered to keep their affairs intact.

She looked around for Queen Faith, had she arrived yet? No doubt she would have a gaggle of well wishers around here she wonders if her small constancian frame would get lost, but oh yes, the wings.

The Senator stepped into the large Gala, a sense of immediate nervousness creeping up her spine at the sea of faces, the light laughs, and the bustle of activity. Ever since the incident at Fondor, she had struggled with attending events like this. The experience had been rather traumatic and had truly rattled her. But she reminded herself that this was a safe place, and Faith knew her situation all too well, so security was at an all time high. She could let herself relax.

She gripped tightly onto her forearm with her hand as she looked down at her dress once more, making sure that everything was in order. good.

She wished that today was as simple as being a wonderful celebration of a remarkable woman, but there were other pressing matters that needed immediate attention unfortunately a well. Faith Organa Faith Organa had offered to host the Free Alliance Coalition on Alderaan under the cover of her birthday celebration, and so her mind was very much distracted and in the realm of politics as she ventured towards the horderves. In typical Kobitana fashion, she skipped the food items and quickly found the beverages, accepting a glass of wine into her hand and taking a quick sip as she turned back around and began to survey the room. Her eyes immediately locked onto the flamboyant Senator of Constancia, a smirk immediately crossing her face as she made her approach.

"Senator Callisto!" She said lightly as she stopped and nodded with approval of her outfit, "You know how to make an entrance, my dear!"

With some small commotion a grey uniformed individual in a dark beret pressed through the crowd, gently, with her comrade by her side. Their arms were outstretched, and soon another pair came into view making a corridor - a rather wide one - which at once was followed by the large serpent of Eclipse. Several hundred pounds of muscle and hardened scale slithered over the polished floors with a heavy rustling sound. Foot after foot of Sssar Taszzn came into view "Make way - excuse us." said the four Constables "Make way for Senator Taszzn." the entry seemed more for utility than appearances. Having someone as commanding of space as Sssar enter a room as occupied as this great space was bound to be clumsy otherwise.

"Greetingssss" Sssar hissed towards the crowd in general as he continued his way towards familiar faces of Xasha Callisto Xasha Callisto and Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix "Thissss issss party issss rather lively. Much different than the gatheringssss within Eclipse Ssstation." he admitted as his large head turned towards Xasha, his eyes the size of small plates examined her up and down "Interessssting." he had never seen an outfit as avante garde as hers. Then his attention turned towards Tiresh "Newssss for the fearlessssss leader." his tone was at ease though his way of speaking always seemed to have a predatory tinge to it "I have been ssselected asss the Chair of the Committee on Judiciary, Minisssstry of Jusssstice, and Marshallssss. Of which you are alsssso a member. You may refer to me assss Chairman Taszzn furthermore." it was clearly a joke though his delivery needed work.

Sssar looked side to side, then turned his head completely around - or more precisely turned his body in such away only a snake could "Ah... there isss the ssspecial woman." he said looking to Faith from far away "Later, perhapssss, I will give her my besssst. To be frank her and I have had little direct interaction in all the time we have both ssserved. Different interesssstsss perhapsss?" he turned back to the present company .

Becca brought out the dress, "Claire sent this over, she hoped you would like it. " Becca took the dress from the cover and laid it onto the bed. "She said it was your birthday and you are Queen you should wear something regal."

Faith looked at the dress, "That is beautiful she's outdone herself. We'll put my hair up please. " Becca sat with Faith doing her hair, make and then dressing her. Faith's hair was perfect for such an occasion.

"Well my dear you have all made me look wonderful I don't know what to say really, other than thank you"

Faith headed out into the hall way headed to the grand staircase standing at the top she waited a moment, the guards standing at attention waiting. She had been told that Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix , Sssar Taszzn Sssar Taszzn and Xasha Callisto Xasha Callisto were here. She wondered where the others were Donavon Arturo Donavon Arturo Dracken Pryce Dracken Pryce Madelyn Lowe Madelyn Lowe Eboi Seth Eboi Seth Maesr Elastren Maesr Elastren Shran Shran and Auteme Auteme .

And where were all the guards where was Ikenna Tahj Ikenna Tahj Jax Thio Jax Thio and Kilij Qel-Nosh Kilij Qel-Nosh lurking about perhaps watching from a distance to ensure nothing happens here as had happened to the other Senators currently in the building.

There was a concern that someone had slipped through the security. There had been a few glitches in the system as they adjusted the cameras for tonight least that is what she was told.

Anyhow a couple of drinks, a dance, and then a meeting with the Coalition Senators.

She looked down the hall Draco hated parties, but she had invited Ijaat Mereel Ijaat Mereel and Runi Kuryida Runi Kuryida to come to Alderaan and have a drink. She smiled and walked down into the crowd of well wishers.

if they're watching anyways

image0_3.png
Auteme's youth never allowed her a proper primary or secondary-school experience, but as she prepared to enter the royal palace's main hall, the sense that she was a drama kid floated through her mind. Attention was addictive, just as it was powerful.

If they're going to watch...

She'd spared no expense. Refurbishing her old dress to be a touch lighter for the occasion had been a long visit to her tailor, as had the discussion regarding her... additions. The tailor was not the only one experienced with threads. At its base, though, it was a shortened dark blue ballgown with lighter accents. She complemented it with white gloves and accessories -- the hanging silver earrings were simple, yet some of her favorite jewelry. A dully-glowing hairpin kept her modest bun intact.

Her heels clacked against the palace floor, ringing loud as she approached the door. The guards started towards the great handles that would allow her to enter, but she smiled and waved them off. Her slender hand rose, and with a mere push the doors flew open.

...do something extraordinary.

Despite being inside, a great gust of wind roared into the main hall, sending with it a flurry of starblossom petals. The petals were a stark white, and gave off a subtle glow. Many of the petals stayed up, floating and flying easily to lend their glow to the whole hall, yet once they touched the ground they dissolved, leaving no trace.

Just as the wind rushed past, some of the petals swirled around Auteme, before falling in place onto her. They seamlessly blended into her outfit, expanding it further -- the dress became extended down to the ground, and a silky, ethereal train followed her, making her glow even brighter. Her dress now hid her feet, and she seemed to glide across the floor.

She moved towards the Senators gathered near the great serpent, greeting the few she recognized on the way. It was only when she arrived among her fellows did a truly bright smile come to her features.

"Senators -- a pleasure as ever to see you. Senator Callisto, Senator Taszzn, you stand out even among this esteemed crowd. Senator Kotibana, you're radiant as ever." Her gaze lingered a moment on the last, and her expression sobered. "I heard what happened on Fondor. I'm glad to see you're alright. It shows your courage, to continue after that -- but don't hesitate to rest, if you need it."

After she let the feeling hang for a moment, her bright smile returned. "Business should wait, I think," she said, her eyes wandering to catch their host on the way down. "Best to not keep the Queen waiting."

Just as she'd arrived, she turned, her train following as she glided towards Queen Organa. Many courtiers had come to give their well-wishes, and Auteme was patient, only addressing the Queen once she was noticed.

"Your Majesty," she said, curtsying. "I confess, I don't think you've aged a day since I first saw you -- but I would hate to miss such an event."

FAC Meeting,
Alderaan

-

There were festivities on Alderaan, and Madelyn was glad. Amid all the fear and tension and war there was still time for celebration and happiness, and that meant that things were still holding together somewhat. For the assembled Senators, however, there remained urgent work to be done.

Tonight, Madelyn had foregone the usual trappings she usually favoured for such events, and steered away from the bright and flowing garments of her fellow revellers. Instead of the gowns she had worn in previous years, previous regimes even, Madelyn had donned a dark, fitted two-piece suit accented by a crimson shirt. Her visage was stern and serious, a model of the upstanding imperial citizen she sought to embody to the people of the Alliance, free from the excesses of her former Sith benefactors and the unchecked ambition of the First Order.

At least that is what she hoped to embody. She didn’t doubt that most people just saw a suit.

Her simpler attire had allowed Madelyn to mostly avoid the typical greetings and socialising of the event. It wasn’t a task that would be wise to avoid forever if she wished to continue in a position of influence in the Alliance, but for the moment she felt comfortable and confident enough to forego the usual small talk. As the guests filed in, Madelyn stuck to the edge of the room and sipped her drink, occasionally leaning in to speak quietly to one of the pair of aides who hovered around beside her. When it seemed that most of the guests were present, Madelyn meandered to the centre of the room, joining the gaggle of FAC members assembling there.

“Yes yes. The party is very pleasant, but let us use the time we have been given to discuss the issues at hand.” Madelyn's voice was not loud per se, but projected in such a way that those not absorbed in their conversations would hear her. The FAC allowed a refreshing degree of open communication and collaboration. It was Madelyn's goal to ensure it did not slip into the excesses of high-society Alliance politicking.

"Despite the happy occasion, I understand that we have a number of things to go over, from recent distressing events to our next moves as a coalition. Senator Kobitana, if you're willing, could you please share with us the points for discussion?"

Another year rolled past as so many had before, at least that is how it felt to his joints. The old man was stiff, achy on colder days. He was not surprised when his last checkup the doctor had told him he had no cartilage left in his knees. His injuries had mounted throughout the wars against and for the One Sith, brutal battles across the stars on Coruscant, Byss, Atrisia. The wars against the first Republic and for the Galactic Alliance lay long behind him, barely a memory anymore, but not the scars. Those still clung to his body and he felt them each time his hands ran against his skin in the morning and at night.

The old Dragon popped a pair of painkillers and stood from the sofa he had claimed as his own, standing with a groan, let out from his own age. Despite all the physical ailments that plagued his body, he was still strong, still powerful enough in his own right. The Force had been kind to him, the Manda had seen to it his retirement felt like a blessing. But there was a deep hurt within him that would never heal, the throbbing scar left by the Dark Side and his addiction to draining the life of others during his time among the Dark Siders. It had felt exhilarating at the time, his muscles and bones had never felt stronger, more sturdy. But they never tell you that with each victim so goes a piece of yourself.

The Dragon was just lucky he had stopped when he still could, that he had found someone that pulled him back from the beyond. Redemption was beyond the Dragon, and he knew that he would never be able to give back the lives of those he took during his service as a mercenary or his time among the sith, but perhaps his children might set right his legacy. He was not quite the hollow shell of a being like had befallen so many others that used those fell powers of evil and hate, but he was not whole either.

He would never be whole.

The middle-aged man took a deep breath, staring at himself in the mirror for a moment. His beard was trimmed, but never shaved, stubble rose from his neck and cheeks from the last time he had straightened it up a few days ago in preparation for the party. Perhaps he should have again, but Faith did not seem to mind his look. He pushed his hair back from his scalp, happy to have all of it as far as he could tell. Greys poked through his beard and his hair, but they made him look distinguished, or so Faith had told him. The suit he wore was well fitted to his muscular frame, his shirt was a little wrinkled from having laid down and taken the pain off his knees for a while, but as he pulled on the jacket nothing seemed obvious and so he ignored the minor unkempt appearance. Luckily, there was no tie to go with the silken black two piece suit and red shirt, the small saving grace.

Satisfied with his appearance, the tall man strode from the suite and made his way down the hall. “Nine hells,” he muttered to himself as he realized that he had missed his deadline and Faith had already escorted herself to the public event. But then, he was surprising her with a rare public appearance of the King-Consort of the core’s jewel. He smiled, perfect ivory teeth peered through his lips as he took the stairs behind his wife. With a hand, he waved off the announcement and descended the stairs hurriedly, but not hastily. He had appearances to keep up afterall.

His hand wrapped around Faith’s waist, pulling her to him as he stepped along beside her. She was speaking with a youthful woman he had never seen before. It would be surprising if he did anything but lurk around the palace and send messages to his old friends in Bothan Space. “Good evening,” he said in greeting, his smile widening. “I must agree, she’s not changed a day while I waste away a little each year.”

The Prime Minister was beyond nervous tonight, not because she didn't feel welcome here, after all, she had gotten to know Faith Organa Faith Organa and had worked with her on several times. She was a good woman, a real positive influence on the galaxy at large and she was honored to be a part of her celebrations. No, what she was nervous about was people becoming aware of something she and Tiresh had thus far kept private. She was more worried for a Tiresh than herself. From what she had heard, the Alliance senate was an unforgiving place.

The two women had decided to arrive separately, no big entrance or announcement. They weren't trying to make a fuss, but they needed to be in public together for their future.

Isla looked at her red dress, it was pretty, not a patch on the beautiful blue number Tiresh was wearing. She smoothed her dress down, grabbed her bag and walked towards the ball room, here goes nothing. The room opened in front of her and she saw all the well wishers. A waiter handed her a glass of champagne and she sipped it. Already a little tipsy herself from drinking in her room as she got ready. She spotted her girlfriend across the room, her beautiful blue dress starkly contrasting with the bright red winged attire of the ginger she was talking to.

The Ashlan crossed over the room and stood next to Tiresh, smiling at her and she gently ran her fingers up and down the back of her hand and lower arm, before interlacing their fingers together. It was a subtle gesture of intimacy with their hands mostly covered by their dresses neither of them were exhibitionists. "no going back now," she quietly whispered so only Tiresh could hear.

"Thank you senator Kobitana, I do enjoy this dress, you look beautiful as always." she was trying to be friendly tonight, she genuinely liked the Senator from Lujo, despite her concerns. "I've never been to Alderaan before, its very pretty, I heard it got destroyed once. That is crazy."

She didn't get a response before she saw the a face she had not met, but oh boy she recognised it. As Draellix walked over and slid her hand into that of Senator Tiresh her eyes widened and she looked at Tiresh and mouthed "wow" silently, raising her eye brows."so this is a thing now then is it? Well let me congratulate you both i guess. I still have my concerns, what with the Corpos already trying to take you out, but you are a good woman Kobitana, you deserve happiness." she felt like she might lose her tongue if she bit it any harder, but she would excuse herself for now. "Have a lovely evening both of you, and we will chat privately later senator, lovely to finally meet you, Prime Minister." and she walked politely away.

Faith laughed softly, "Thank you Auteme Auteme its genetics really" She heard the comments from Madelyn Lowe Madelyn Lowe down to business she wanted to be that party had just started and already..well perhaps she did not like the celebration. There were those that could not find time to relax and enjoy themselves perhaps she is one of those.

Just as she prepared to say something familiar voice filled her ear she looked over her shoulder as his hands slipped to her waist. "Drahr" She smiled broadly at him, "you made it." She was very happy to see him.

"Everyone I'd like you to meet the elusive Draco Vereen, my husband."

This was wonderful she was not complete. So many times she attended functions alone well not exactly alone with Becca, or Ikenna Tahj Ikenna Tahj or Kilij Qel-Nosh Kilij Qel-Nosh , and a couple with Jax Thio Jax Thio all to keep her safe and talk shop sometimes.

She looked at the others who had looked her way.

"Have you all had a drink of the emerald wine?"

She wanted them all to have a good time.

She smiled and chuckled softly at Sssar Taszzn Sssar Taszzn 's joke regarding his new title and his expectancy for her to refer to him as such. "Of coarse, Chairman Taszzn!" She bowed slightly, "But in all seriousness, I am very much looking forward to the good that will surely come from your appointment." She smiled warmly at the Senator. He was the perfect fit for such a role, and his new appointment was a major win for the coalition.

Regarding his lack of interaction with Faith Organa Faith Organa up to this point, Tiresh took a sip of her wine and looked over towards the Queen. She looked stunning. "I'm sure you two have much in common." She offered. It was a tedious balance that the Coalition had struck… one that must be upkept with careful attention. They were all truly as diverse as the planets they represented, and while such diversity could ultimately sway in their favor, it could also be marred by divisions if they focused on their many differences. She looked up again at Sssar and offered an elegant laugh as she attempted her own humor, "I must say, you always dress so appropriately for every occasion! I think I might envy you in that regard, Senator!"

As Faith Organa Faith Organa made her entrance officially into the hall by way of the staircase, Tiresh turned her full attention to the Queen. The hall began to fill with soft applause as Tiresh joined them, smiling and nodding warmly at the Queen as she descended, clapping her hands elegantly together. What a wonderful dress she was wearing! She looked absolutely fabulous.

She wanted to congratulate the queen, but she was quickly met with many who desired to do the same, and so she opted to wait until the crowd began to dissipate a bit. A gust of wind caused Tiresh to turn towards the main doors of the hall, where she witnessed a very elaborate and stunning entrance from Auteme Auteme . Tiresh couldn't help but smile as the pedals floated through the air and dissolved against her dress and the floor. She looked stunning indeed.

In the back of Tiresh's mind, she was growing suspicious of the Senator. Whatever trust had been built between them had quickly dissipated when Auteme went behind the FAC's back by going public with the group on her own terms and for her own political gain. It was a bold move on her part to say the least, but Tiresh was not convinced that it was a wise one, considering she might have just ostracized herself from the Coalition… and she surely did not have much support from the Corporatists. In the end, you need votes if you want to make a play for Chancellor, which it was blatantly apparent to Tiresh that such ambitions where what lay underneath her recent actions. And Tiresh simply did not think that she would get many votes… not after what she had done.

Tiresh had not considered herself as even a possibility of being nominated for Chancellor until more recently. The Assassination attempt on her life had really galvanized the public's perception of her in a very positive light, portraying her as the underdog standing up to the big bad wolves. She was becoming more comfortable with the idea, however she knew that there were some others titans within their ranks that would make excellent Chancellors as well. Ultimately, she would support the majorities nomination, because if they fractured their votes on a new chancellor while the Corporatists remained united, then they would lose. And that was unacceptable.

But of course, the idea of herself being Chancellor was an attractive one. She just couldn't afford to put the cart before the horse right now.

She smiled politely and offered a nod of her head as Auteme Auteme joined them. As she mentioned the assassination attempt, Tiresh's smile faded as she took a sip of her glass, "Thank you for your concern, Senator Auteme. I am grateful to have the support and encouragement of my fellow colleagues. I'm afraid rest is a luxury I cannot afford at the moment, not with the Corporatists right on the brink, but I appreciate the sentiment."

She then tilted her glass towards Auteme Auteme with a smile, "…And might I say, what a fantastic entrance, my dear! You look stunning." If there was any reservations that Tiresh held towards Auteme, it was not evident. She did leave one telling remark however, "I read your article on the holonews by the way. Very intriguing! I look forward to processing more with you and the others about it." She smiled, and her eyes focused intently on Auteme for a moment before turning towards Madelyn Lowe Madelyn Lowe who was approaching the group.

"Senator Lowe!" She exclaimed with a bit more pep in her tone. She was grateful to see her. She smiled as Madelyn desired to quickly move onto business, a sentiment that Tiresh shared as well in her natural state. Ever since the attempt on her life, everything felt much more… urgent. But she also believed that more FAC Senators would be joining them, so perhaps they should wait to begin.

"Yes! As all of you know, we have been deliberating back and forth on our Strategic Roadmap. It would be good to finalize this so that we can all be on the same page moving forward. There is also the assassination attempt on Donavon and myself, I think we need to address it… how should we respond? Do we speed up our timeline? And there is also the little matter about Auteme forcing the Coalition public ahead of schedule, I think it would be good to discuss the ramifications of this as a coalition. Here are the bullet points…" She pulled out her data pad and quickly forwarded the information to everyone present. "Please let me know if there is anything else we need to discuss…" She suddenly felt a soft touch on her arm, and a flash of a smile quickly crossed her face as she turned to see Isla Draellix-Kobitana Isla Draellix-Kobitana standing beside her. She squeezed her hand as it found its way into hers, then turned to the other Senators and took in a bit of a nervous breath as she continued, "… I believe Faith has organized a private meeting room for all of us, so perhaps we can continue this conversation in a bit? I would love to introduce all of you to someone who needs no introduction…" She turned and smiled warmly as Isla, "This is my plus one! Isla Draellix, Prime Minister of the Ashlan Crusade." Her eyes caught the reaction of Xasha Callisto Xasha Callisto . She knew that there might be a variety of responses to this relationship being made public, but now was good of a moment as any, especially with the positive favor she currently held from the attempt on her life. She smiled and nodded with a tinge of embarrassment at the senator of Constancia, "I understand, Senator. And thank you…"

She looked back up at the other Senators, uncertain how anyone would respond. These were her allies, but they were also very politically minded and might not look favorably upon it. But with the Maw and the NIO barking down their necks, she hoped that a strengthening of the relationship between the Alliance and the Ashlan Crusade would be perceived in a positive light. They needed allies now more than ever.

And then Faith Organa Faith Organa and Draco Vereen Draco Vereen approached them, the masses beginning to make way for the couple. She smiled warmly and bowed slightly, "Queen Faith! Your dress is absolutely marvelous! What a pleasure it is to celebrate you! There is much to celebrate." She then looked at her husband, a man she had not had the previous pleasure of meeting, "Mr. Vereen! What an honor to finally make your acquaintance!"

if they're watching anyways

Auteme curtsied again to Faith's husband.

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, King-Consort," she said, placing a slight emphasis on the title to remind her fellows -- Kotibana had been rather hasty in her addressing of Vereen. Still, she kept her demeanor pleasant.

"I haven't had the pleasure of the emerald wine, though," she said, smiling. "Before I do, however, I was hoping I might gift you something, Queen Organa. I know you requested we not bring anything, but I really must insist."

Faith paused it had been some time since Draco had been called Consort. She wondered how he would handle it. She looked at Isla, "Thank you for coming. Thank you all for coming it means a great deal that you would come." Even though they were all here for a meeting they could have used a holo to communicate during the meeting. They however came in person.

"I can send you all home with a bottle of the wine if you would like"

She smiled at Auteme Auteme , "A gift you say. I am honored that you would consider giving me one. I can't be upset about that. I will accept your gift, will we need privacy or is it something that can be seen everyone?"

There had been others who had brought a gift as well as made a donation. How could she be mad or upset if someone felt that genuine urge to give her a gift to mark her birthday. It made Faith feel good she wouldn't deny it.

if they're watching anyways

Auteme smiled. "No need for privacy." Just another chance for a bit of showmanship.

She extended a hand to the sky, and with a flourish a thread of light shot upwards. It soon curved in its path, soaring throughout the hall. With every passing moment the head gained more shape and detail; soon it gained wings, flying gracefully back towards them. Its tail dissolved, leaving nothing but a shimmering mist in its wake.

By the time it returned to Auteme, the Corosian phoenix had taken its true form. Though smaller than the true phoenix, it was none the less beautiful -- in her youth Auteme had visited the Corosia system, and the image was burned in her mind. The phoenix's plumage was a soft white rather than anything more colorful. With a wave of her hand she added a few finishing touches; swirling designs coated its feathers, and glowed with a subtle light.

The phoenix regarded Faith for a moment, before hopping over to perch on the Queen's shoulder. The creature, though woven by the Force, seemed as lifelike as any.

"A companion as striking as yourself," she said, bowing her head a moment. "She needs no upkeep, but she's just as spirited as a true Corosian."

Faith watched amazed her eyes following the light as it circled the hall, others all around paused as silence fell over the group as everyone watched. Soon the light began to take form into a bird, "ohh how beautiful and creative Auteme Auteme "

Faith watched the creature as it watched her. "I love that it is white so simple yet so elegant force created I have never seen anything like it." From somewhere near her feet there was a low purr, "it sounds like Blu is jealous. Hush Blu" Faith did not look down she knew the WolfCat would obey but stay where she was curious more than anything about a new creature.

"I will treasure her always, Thank you" Just then the phoenix jumped to Faith's shoulder. She couldn't help but giggle, "Wouldn't Jack Sparrow Jack Sparrow be jealous of my new pet. He's a pirate well he acts like a pirate." Yes this was a great birthday.

"What do you think Drahr?"

There was a rumor that Delila Castillon Delila Castillon was somewhere on the grounds too

"I wouldn't have missed it for the world Faith Organa Faith Organa Alderaan is becoming one of my favourite places." and the Queen one of her favourite people one of few foreigners that treated her as Isla rather than 'the crusader'. As Xasha Callisto Xasha Callisto walked away from them she turned and looked at Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix "An ally you were concerned about?" she laughed, thinking back to their conversation on Lur then added quietly "you never told me people were trying to take you out? We're going to discuss that when we get back to the hotel room ok?" she smiled lovingly and as Tiresh turned and announced her as her plus one, she felt both embarrassed and treasured.

Another senator was performing some spectacle, she recognised her as Auteme Auteme from some magazine cover that had gotten Tiresh a little frustrated days before, she didn't typically involve Isla in her political life so she didn't like to pry... "Is that...." she gasped as the phoenix took flight, squeezing Tiresh hand tightly and her other hand reaching into her pocket and stroking her Ashlan Rosary a holy symbol forged in the shape of the Ashlan phoenix.

She shut her eyes and said a brief prayer to Ashla. as the bird settled on Faith Organa Faith Organa . To her this was a sign that Ashla respected the woman, she was right to, Faith was a force of light on the galaxy.

Tiresh was starting to express some insecurity as she stood there, her two worlds colliding violently right in front of her. Her mind was racing and she barely heard Isla whispering to her, "Hmm?" She said, turning towards her to try to listen. She simply nodded solemnly, her hand starting to shake in Isla's grasp from anxiety. She took a big gulp of the wine, trying to regain her composure.

She was grateful for the attention to shift back to Auteme Auteme 's impressive gift for Faith Organa Faith Organa . She watched the beautiful bird as it took shape, her mind still very distracted with a thousand other things, until she felt Isla squeeze her hand tightly as she marveled at the majestic bird. Tiresh turned and forced a smile for Isla in response. She had wanted more than anything to enjoy this moment of going public with her love, however she was becoming swallowed up in anxiety and fear. She cleared her throat nervously. Everything inside of her wanted to bolt out of the room, but she kept herself planted where she was.

"Wonderful gift, Senator Auteme." She said. Her eyes then drifting to the Queen and her husband, "I'm afraid my gift is not nearly as exciting, but hopefully it helps you cause." She presented a small data pad which described a large shipment of medical supplies, food rations, clothes, as well as one of her new modular "Mobile Cities", including a full supply of Habitation and perimeter power Modules that could be constructed within minutes anywhere for the sake of humanitarian aid for those who were displaced.

"Ahh it is a wonderful gift Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix Tiresh Kobitana-Draellix so many will be helped so many lives touched by this gift you know how much I treasure our ability to helping others. I'm speechless. Thank you." She smiled feeling so blessed by the goddess right now.

"You all make me feel so treasured you appeal to all those things I hold dear and show your affection for me through the gift. I'm sure when I think of everything I want to say you'll all be bored to tears." It was all so moving touching her spirit at the friends and family that gathered just for her birthday.

"We should have a toast, are you all up to one?" Faith's new pet sat quietly on her shoulder, Blu had settled down, and she hand a ton of medical supplies in addition to the donation. Maybe birthdays weren't so bad after all.

New Aldera | Alderaan

It had been some time since she had stepped foot on Alderaan. Typically she liked to visit every few months to catch up with those she knew and more importantly stock up on Alderaanian wine. She wouldn't lie, having to ration out the galaxy-famous wine was one of the downsides to moving away from the planet. Events such as this - the Queen's Birthday - were also something one couldn't find on other planets, not the same cheery feeling in her opinion. Most likely biased.

With a number of bounty hunters and various other low lives off her tail, she could enjoy a quiet evening on a civilized planet. Dells blended in the crowd wearing a simple black dress - nothing flashy or outstanding as many had on this evening. She preferred it that way. Wine glass was in hand as she made the rounds here and there - not that she had spotted a familiar face yet.

Delila stood in the crowd and watched the bird float around the room as the crowd murmured approval.
